Our fast lane hype glorifies demise cuz it feeds us to the pen like no other thing can, our shorties all infused with wackass maneuvas! Why do we provide so much shit to chose from?!                                       ... Praised from the box is exploitation of confusion, the lack of ideas and the lack of inclusion. So we desperately try to belong to somethin, but what we gotta do to get some backup and some lovin?

Dear Fam <3
I want to share these beautiful gentle vibes with you for the coming sunny season. The instrumental was made by Vernon D. Hill and you hear Melanie Piontek on the saxophone. This tune was originally created as a freestyle at a production workshop in Neukölln and then juiced up by Vernon and me.

Biography
Vivienne Shakur was born in the GDR. She started singing at the age of 7. After the turnaround she joined the Reggae and Hiphop Crews of Erfurt as one of very few female protagonists and began rapping at the age of 13 with the boys behind the gym after school. Vivienne is part of the last generation that knows both systems and that had to perform miracles to get hands on Hiphop albums and videotapes back in the day. Erfurt had a very strong and growing scene as a counter culture against the rising of Nazis and commercialization at that point. A strong inspiration was the movie Sister Act 2 with Lauryn Hill for her, which manifested the urge of taking on an active role as an MC on stage. Vivienne was also inspired by other artists like Bob Marley, Buju Banton and Sizzla Kalonji on the Reggae side, but also by Tupac, Public Enemy and Bone Thugs on the Rap side just to name a few. Her singing is influenced by Anita Baker, Whitney Houston, Dru Hill and Jodeci. This should let you know that her style is very eclectic and passionate. She is also broadely talented and formed a Hiphop dance crew and started producing her own songs. Since 2002, after the Gutenberg School Shooting, the scene began to decline and Vivienne started to search for a new home. Thereby she performed at numerous jam sessions Germany wide. She also connected with the underground of the Westcoast and worked with Bay area’ s Project Blowed artists Riddlore, Ngafsh, Self Jupiter and Busdriver. After many adventures in the streets and undergrounds of Germany she decided in 2016 to build her new home in Berlin. Since then she was performing with K.ZIA, moderating the “Urban Base Jamsession” and helps building the all female session “Womans World” with rapper Leila A. She also performed at political events like the Pulse of Europe and at the Carnival of Cultures. She is currenty working with Rootsdaughters, a Roots-Dub Soundsystem, and with An-Tonic, a spoken word artist and House/Funk DJ.
