Vampire universe concept:

Vampires whose venom is what enthralls their victims. They're ambush predators that have to bite first to gain control over their prey's mind. The venom dulls fear and causes a sense of calm, so the victim is more likely to follow directions.

The venom also happens to be an excellent narcotic at a certain potency. So, there's a black market trade in a venom-based recreational drug harvested from captive vampires.

Authorities mostly look the other way. Who cares about bloodthirsty vampires anyway? They're being useful for once. However it becomes a problem if escaped vampires end up loose in populated areas. So it's technically illegal.

For extra spice, maybe someone discovers that the venom is more potent when a vampire is hungry or in distress. So they're kept just healthy enough to produce venom while still having a Very Bad Time.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????

I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.

Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

To my beloved enjoyers of alien pet whump (which seems to be gaining some traction):

I have a movie recommendation for you!

Fantastic Planet is an animated film from 1973 about "oms" being kept as pets by the giant Traags. An om manages to escape his captivity with a traag learning device, and brings it to the feral oms. Together, they change history.

It's a wonderfully weird movie full of stunning visuals and fantastic whump. Dehumanization, poison gas, the works. I'd highly recommend giving it a watch!

(I genuinely have no clue how to describe these last two or I'd add image descriptions. I'm sorry!)

A team just found their missing member after they were “lost” in the woods for days.

The starvation, dehydration, and exhaustion were expected. The finger shaped bruises the leader caught sight of before being hastily covered up were not.

They insist over and over that they got lost, nothing happened, everything was fine, they would be okay after a good nights rest and something to eat.

But the leader doesn’t believe them, and they know it.
