I’m in my fifties now. Not 50… 51! I have three teenagers. I can’t complain… I’m on the green side of the grass, as my uncle would say. Life isn’t easy, but it’s rewarding and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m loved and cared for by many… and that itself is the best gift ever. 🎂🎁💕

Edit…. What am I thinking?? I’d definitely be grateful if life could be easier. I’d appreciate less negativity and fewer struggles. Absolutely. What I should say is I recognize life is challenging and that helps me recognize the blessings. But it’s not true to say I wouldn’t change a thing… how silly is that??? 😂

I like the ease of this platform. I like posting and re-blogging. I’m meh on mewe, bdsmlr. Would love an iOS compatible app (but yuck to the censoring that seems to come along with that feature). Where else is similar in ease and design, but isn’t overrun by a bunch of asshats?

To open up a little more… I just lost someone to an insidious disease last month. And yesterday I found out that a long time (over twenty years) close friend was diagnosed with the same disease. It robs you of everything and there’s no cure. He doesn’t know what’s really in front of him. I do. It’s heart wrenching. I can only hold onto the hope that a newly FDA approved drug will help, and that he can get into clinical trials. I don’t know. I just cannot fathom watching another loved one suffer so much. I will hold space for him to turn to me, to lean on me. This won’t be easy. But I can’t stay in this place of frozen inaction. Time to get up, get my shit together, and move forward. The kids need mom to be mom.
