My take on Boo's in my comic's universes...

We've yet to see them in any storyline of mine, but I've wanted them to take on more of an 'animalistic' trait—or, at best, creatures of very low intelligence.

They function more like parasitic slimes that just so happen to float. Sucking the life force of whatever prey they manage to get their gloopy mitts on.

Luigi, at some point in his life, ends up as the go-to 'pest control,' getting rid of Boos from various locations. Tragically for Luigi - it turned out he was way better at handling the Boo's compared to his brother.

While we see how Peach deals with the newsstand - We never actually see how Mario dealt with it.

...And he didn't deal with it very well. Unlike Peach - he wasn't as easily able to let it go. And very unlike Peach, he was less willing to take a diplomatic approach. (Maybe due to his upbringing...)

Threatening this one Toad may work in the short term. But between not actually diffusing the situation (And making it worse in a way) - Mario wouldn't have been able to carry out any real threat against the Toads. All bark and no bite. And the Toads would catch onto that.

It especially wouldn't help that Peach would very much disapprove of this method, leading her to insist to Mario that she truly has things handled.

15. Do you/have you participated in Artfight or art trades in general?

I've done Art Fight! Once... I.... don't think I'll do it again. I found the entire process kinda confusing and stressful. I thought we were SUPPOSED to basically have our own OC's 'fight' the other person's OC or interact with them in some fashion. Soooo I kinda overdid it with my first submission.

(To be perfectly clear - the person I drew this for was VERY appreciative and attacked me back with some gorgeous art! It was all a very positive experience - I just foolishly didn't know what exactly I was getting into)

I don't do trades as often as I used to due to some negative past experiences. That and my spoons are poured more into my own projects. That doesn't mean I won't do them! But they're rare things. I'm typically open for commissions however - and if I get a nice swift kick of motivation and free time - I'll also likely just snipe free art at someone and run away.

Queen Cherry is done! She'd be basically taking the place of the little old lady in the opening so her scene won't be long at all - but I have something special planned for her all the same.
