new video circulating of an israeli soldier having broken into a palestinian family’s home and going through the wife’s intimates while degrading and slut-shaming her for… wearing underwear? owning lingerie to share with her husband? i don’t understand what his disgust was about considering he feels none at all at being a genocidal psychopath who celebrates, if not partakes in, inflicting all kinds of abuse and torture. maybe the fact that palestinians are normal people? who have relationships? maybe it’s jealousy because he knows will never have a loving relationship, who knows. and quite frankly, who cares.
the point is that it is literally an intrusion into one of the most personal aspects of palestinians’ lives. it is another act of defiling and tarnishing everything and anything palestinians hold dear, like all the other iof soldiers proposing and announcing marriage dates amidst the rubble of the palestinian homes they destroyed, israeli celebrities and soldiers signing missiles and bombs to be dropped on palestinians with ‘good luck!!!’s and birthday dedications, israeli settlers singing and dancing to lyrics promoting genocide, israeli soldiers laughing as they detonate bombs in mosques and other buildings, planting israeli flags on schools they bombed.
every step an ‘israeli’ takes on palestinian land feels like a personal physical violation, even to me, a non-palestinian. and then people question why palestinians resist. they have been being violated like this, physically and psychologically, for over 75 years.
Al-Shifa Hospital is a ‘big prison’, says director
Nov 17th, 12:25 GMT
As Israel continues its raid of al-Shifa Hospital, the director of al-Shifa says the medical compound has become a “big prison” and a “mass grave” for all those inside.
Muhammed Abu Salmiya tells Al Jazeera that there are 7,000 people in the hospital and staff are still working to help patients but they “lost all those who were in the intensive care unit”.
“We are left with nothing, no power, no food, no water. with every passing minute, we are losing a life. Overnight we lost 22 persons, [and] for the past three days the hospital has been kept under siege,” Salmiya said.
He added that they have appealed to leave the hospital but are being denied by Israeli forces.
“It’s a war crime. A full-fledged war crime,” he said.
the year is 2003, you live in the sewers with your brothers, your dad is a literal rat, so you don't have access to a specific kind of language to understand your feelings, but what you do have is star trek. so lets just figure it out from there?
Support for Palestine should be unconditional by the way. Stop looking for the ways they're just like you (ex: gay, trans, neurodivergent, etc) and support them for the sole reason that theyre literally facing a potential genocide right now. This is what solidarity is.
There is still hope. Say it out loud. Palestine will be free. The Palestinian people will celebrate their culture and heritage with each other. We will love and be loved. Do not fall into the trap of despair.
palestine is in a complete and utter blackout with israel launching hundreds of its heaviest airstrikes so far across gaza. this is a mass slaughter and we won't even know the extent of the casualties until it's over; israel have cut off telecommunications so they can commit their atrocities in the dark. there is a genocide happening right in front of our eyes and every person who has ever defended israel's "right to defend itself" has the blood of palestinians on their hands. we cannot ignore what is one of the most devastating massacres in human history.
also, a friendly reminder, the world we live in now consists of an active genocide.
of warcrimes being posted on twitter by the official account of israeli government.
of people looking at children, women and men being bombed, killed, starved and butchered and saying it is okay because of a single terrorist group, THAT ISRAEL CREATED.
of westerners saying to look away from the slaughter happening in gaza because your mental health is more important than thousands of lives.
of israeli politicians straight up using propaganda from nazi handbooks to dehumanise palestinians, calling them less than human, less than the rest of us, animals.
and what one palestinian man posted on his social media hit me more than anything: “if we actually were animals, people would care.”
