just thinking about matt's description from the campaign wrap-up of what the nein returning the beacon was like for essek as being like, "you've killed someone. you think you've gotten away with and then some randos show up and they found a BOOT in your front yard and they're like, 'hey! look what we found!'"

The mighty nein’s backstories are really like. Abused and kidnapped. Abused and killed own family. Orphaned and kidnapped into new tribe and abused. Woke up in own grave. Orphan who became a normal sailor then almost died. Family slowly disappeared one by one. Kept hidden inside a brothel and then sent away. Totally 100% normal life until horrifically killed and resurrected as the monster that killed you.

#like vox machina's backstories were still not great but they were much more standard fantasy hero #mostly just dead parents and then percy here with an archetypal shakespearean revenge plot #and then they got to c2 and were like how do i make the most fucked up wretched creature possible

As someone who works 8/9 hours from monday to friday, I'm genuinely curious about how y'all handle the (ever increasing) long episodes and how/when you choose to watch them.

#okay haven't been watching c3 but for everything else back when i used to watch live #watch live the whole thing #but also im in nz so it comes out on friday afternoons #which as long as im not working that day (which i usually wasn't or if i was i was done by 2) made it pretty easy to watch the whole thing
