ok but wuko confides in korrasami about being in love w mako so korra and asami give him tips on how to woo him based on things he liked when they respectively dated him (i.e. “on our first date i took him to a fancy restaurant and bought him a new suit” “i’ll teach you about probending and then you can take him to a match and impress him with your knowledge. maybe try to fight him”) but it literally ... doesn’t work and actually seems to put mako off even more and wu gets frustrated and korrasami give up and everyone is acting pissed around mako, so eventually he confronts wu like “what is up with you??? why are you acting so weird???” and wu who is completely exhausted and dejected at this point just like. tells him everything. and mako is just like “....yeah no shit i wasn’t into any of that, in case you didn’t remember BOTH OF THOSE RELATIONSHIPS DIDN’T EXACTLY WORK OUT” and wu is just like oh and mako is like “yeah oh” and then they kiss :)

zukka week 2021 day 5: College AU

On a different note, I think Sokka would be the kind of person to see his crush and then immediately knock everything off the table. 

(Is this what college parties look like?? According to stock photos, they are. I wouldn’t know, as I am not in college. I haven’t even been to a party since the plague began.)

[ID: A digital comic of Zuko and Sokka. All the backgrounds are from real life– they are purple tinged photos of a backyard, a brick wall, and a fence. In the first panel, Sokka leans against the wall of the outside of a house. There is a crowd of people in front of him. 

On the next page, He looks up as someone from off the panel says, “Hey-” In the second panel Zuko stands and smiles awkwardly. He says, “um, are– are you the ran-into-doorframe guy?” Sokka looks horrified. He thinks, OH GOD, and in a thought bubble, the black and white frames of the original comic where he walks into a door appear. Sokka grins sheepishly and rubs the back of his neck with one hand. As he does so, a little piece of paper falls out of his pocket. He says, “HAHAHA! YEAH, THAT’S ME!” In a thought bubble, Sokka thinks the words, “kill me” over and over. 

Zuko bends over and says, “Hey, you dropped something.” Sokka again looks horrified, and reaches out. It’s too late, Zuko has already picked up the note. On it, it says, “PUNS TO WOO THE HANDSOME GUY FROM THE JASMINE DRAGON WITH: you’re mocha me crazy, words cannot espress-o how much you mean to me (too much- maybe 4th-5th date material), what ever beans necessary (work this in somewhere) YOU LOOK FAB-BREW-LOUS TODAY, Affogato my name when I’m with you, NOT HOTTER THAN YOU (YES), FRENCH PRESS, (genius)” There are hearts, scribbles, and arrows all over the page, including a terrible drawing of Zuko’s face. 

On the next page, Zuko looks at the paper, surprised, and says, “These- This is for me, isn’t it?” Sokka says, “uHM.” and gulps. Zuko begins to laugh. He says, “THAT’S HILARIOUS.” Sokka looks away, reddening and beginning to cry. Zuko’s laughter trails off and he looks back at Sokka. Then, he frantically waves out his hands, and says, “oh OH No! I’m NOT laughing like THAT–” He rubs the back of his neck. “It’s just that– I can’t BELIEVE you spent all that time coming up with those just specially for me.. It’s just so stupidly thoughtful. And, I… Well–” Zuko looks at Sokka and smiles. “think it’s kind of– endearing”

Zuko holds up his hands. “If, I mean, that’s what you were insinuating, with the puns. You were insinuating that, right? OH GOD–” Sokka holds up his hands too. “NO! Wait– I mean YES! Yes, I was definitely insinuating, um, that, yes.” They both smile awkwardly. Zuko says, “Ah hah hah, cool, Ha!” Sokka says, “Yes, cool! Ha!.” Zuko raises his brow and looks off to the side. An ellipsis appears above his head. Then, he smiles and says, “Well, if that’s what you were insinuating, then… I’m free tomorrow at 8:00? We could hit up that new coffee shop? It’s a bit pricy, and probably won’t be as good as the Jasmine Dragon, but–”

Sokka raises a brow and says, “Oh, you mean the one where we’ll just go in, stare at the egregious prices for a while… then go to the much cheaper one down the road?” Zuko says, “HA.” Sokka smiles and leans forward, while Zuko covers his mouth and laughs. Sokka says, “I mean, what do they expect, opening a place like that in a uni town? I mean all I have in my wallet is maybe 2 dollars, and, like, a gum wrapper. I aboso-BREW-tely can’t believe it!” Zuko smiles and wipes a tear. He says, “MAN, you’re funny. The puns are actually starting to grow on me…” He smiles. “Well, uh, See you.” Sokka smiles sweetly back, “See you.” Sokka walks backwards and says, “BYE!” The back of Zuko’s head is in the foreground. He says, “Watch out for door frames!” Sokka says, “Ha!” Then, he trips over a stand in the backyard (BUMP) and says, “WUP.” Zuko sweats. Sokka, now on the ground and cluthcing the stand, says, “I’m ok.” Zuko is relieved. End ID.]

Imagine modern AU Yue is an astronaut and everyone Sokka talks to thinks she’s dead because he just says “my first girlfriend is on the moon” and looks really sad about it but in reality he’s just upset because she said she’d bring him a moon rock and NASA said she couldn’t
