Does being in a new body so different from her old one give Luz some kind of dysphoria?

This is actually something I really want to explore in one of the chapters. because it is a very complex situation that I think would sound best when actually explained from the character's mouth. But basically: no. Luz actually enjoys being a demon. She likes running around on all sixes, wagging her tails, biting things, climbing everything, chirping, etc. Not to mention her powers. She already felt weird and like a social outcast. Now she can be a social outcast + being an awesome animal-demon-girl. It's more the situation surrounding her being a demon that stressed her out. All the stuff we've seen of her being considered weird even for a demon, the government fearmongering her and her family, and the constant anxiety of how her mother will react.

Wait, so is Luz just like a big palismen now or was that idea scrapped for the final story?

Luz isn't exactly a palisman. It's just a reliable comparison for both me and the characters to make.

She's sorta like the evolved form of a pailsman. She's made of metal instead of wood but still filled with Titan Magic and strange goos. And has those little palisman traits like eating the same material she's made of and being rather animal-like.

Though of course it's not perfectly one-to-one. Just like how you call a tiger a cat. No, it's not the same as your domestic cat. But it's similar and they are related.
