I just wanted to let you know though, her description includes the word "gypsy" which originated as a slur for the Romani people, and which they are vocal against disliking. It's romanticized a lot in western culture and I used it frequently when I was younger before I knew the history of the word... I just wanted to let you guys know it's rude to a lot of people. is there any major that carries more "prestige" that the others?

This is a great question and one that we hope to at least partially answer, although the answer is a bit complicated. So let us know if you have additional questions.

In reality, it’s going to depend on who you ask which major is considered the most prestigious. The average wixen might consider the more intensive majors with a ministry connection to be prestigious. (For example, training to become an auror or an unspeakable.)

On the other hand, someone who considers academics superior might find high charms or spell invention more prestigious while a wixen who is interested in sports and entertainment might think the quidditch majors are the most prestigious.

The truth is that since the university is still new, it’s going to take some time for people to make a complete judgment on which majors are the most prestigious and lead to the best career options.
