Welcome! I'm Avanii, a 30-year-old (plush) artist living in the Netherlands. I post and reblog irregularly. Find me on avanii.nl or other socials (insta: kristel_storm or twitter: kristel__storm). Blog's kind of a relic at this point but I'm trying to revive it a bit. Currently obsessed with Pokemon and volcanoes so expect a bunch of that! My art tag is "Avanii's art".
Hi avanii! Saw some very cool pokemon plushes of yours and was wondering if you had a commission page?
Hey! Thank you, I'm glad you like them :D I don't have a dedicated commission page, as I rarely ever take commissions these days. But I'm curious to know what you were interested in, if you don't mind telling me ^^
The Black Smoker Beast can be found roaming the spreading ridges in the depths of the oceans. Hydrothermal vents support a lot of life, so I wanted this creature to look a bit more friendly than my other geology monsters! The enormous, chimney-like structures are absolutely awe-inspiring and I hope I did them justice. I really wanted the beast to have such a chimney for a shell, and gave it the iron armour and red skin of the volcano snail, and white/red whiskers based on the tube worms that make their home at black smokers. Lots of fun again painting with acrylic inks.
To contrast with its docile pre-evolution, camerupt are temperamental, bitey, bullheaded, and prone to setting things on fire. They are often placed with herds of regular cattle to defend them; a well-trained camerupt can take on a pack of mightyena by itself.
Camerupt have very few natural predators. Mightyena will sometimes make an attempt if a member of the herd is particularly weak or sick, but they more often stick to numel. With rock-type moves, a camerupt can put up a fight even against a salamence.
Due to the dangers camerupt can pose even to its trainer, numel is rare as a starter pokemon except in the Lavaridge area. Most captive camerupt have been bred and raised in captivity; if a specimen was caught in the wild it was most likely caught as a numel and then evolved. Approaching wild camerupt is not advised.
[send me a pokemon and i'll draw it in my style and add my headcanons]
The Beast of Volcanic Fissures, another of my geology monsters. Its fountains of lava are a spectacle to behold! Inspired by the footage of Iceland's many fissure eruptions, oh my gosh they're SO beautiful I could watch lava forever. I painted this with acrylic inks, took 9 hours
Handmade Quilava plushie! He is extremely soft and floppy and has removable flames (which I custom painted, the fur was just plain yellow) that attach via magnets. Measures 46 cm nose to bum (18 inch). I'm so happy with this guy :D I've been wanting to have a floppy Quilava plush for so long!
A wonderful Pokemon chinese animated short film directed by DaiWei (All Saints Street) and produced by MTJJ / HMCH studio (Legend of Hei) for Chinese New Year.

you have to MANUALLY opt out of it as well.
to opt out on desktop, click your blog ➡️ blog settings ➡️ scroll til you see visibility options and it’ll be the last option to toggle.
to opt out on mobile, click your blog ➡️ scroll then click visibility ➡️ toggle opt out option.
if you’ve already opted out of showing up in google searches, it’s preselected for you. but you also have to opt out for each blog you own separately, so if you’d like to prevent AI scraping your blog i’d really recommend taking the time to opt out. (source)
As a kid, I think Magmar scared me a bit, but I always thought its design was neat! Ever since Abilities were introduced, Magby has always been my egg-hatcher. I think it's cute to have another baby Pokemon help with hatching babies haha~
Handmade Typhlosion plushies :D They're so soft and squishy, but firm enough to hold their shape well. I custom painted all of their fiery fur to look like flames!
A few of them will be looking for new trainers next week on Saturday 2 March at 8 PM CET. I'll post a link closer to the date with more information.
