I went to the Sonic Symphony last night, and I had a realization about concerts and other events:

No one shows up at the same time, but everyone leaves at the same time.

My brother and I showed up an hour before the show started. We parked in the adjoining parking garage so we just went down two flights of stairs and walked down a hallway. We did not have to go outside.

BUT when everyone was leaving, we were all forced out the front door of the building---outside, to the sidewalk---and we had to walk around the building, cross the street, and ascend four flights of stairs to get to my brother's car. My brother compared us to sheep, all being herded in the same direction.

*There were, in fact, elevators in the parking garage. Neither me nor my brother know why we took the stairs. I thought it was funny that we were the only ones taking the stairs.

Allow me to paint you a Dadow scenario:

Shadow has gone to the store and is returning a bowling ball (or some other thing that's big/heavy).

The lady behind the counter asks him if there's anything wrong with it.

Shadow replies, "No, he just keeps trying to play with it," gesturing to his psychokinetic toddler, who had been throwing it around the house, and is now upset that it's been taken away from him and is fussy and probably crying.

A digital painting.

My inspiration for this was "Son of Man," a painting by surrealist artist René Magritte. I don't know anything about traditional painting, but I tried my best.
