I had ANOTHER dream last night about ML and Chat Noir had visited Marinette for unknown reasons and as he was leaving, she overheard him asking himself, "How many Chat Noirs will it take for Ladybug to notice me?" AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT HER ANSWER TO THAT WAS?!!!!

"Just one."

AND HE DIDN'T HEAR HER AND I WOKE UP.

Wow, Hack-San...

So I watched Hack-San and I noticed that a lot of people are focused on the angsty side of things like how they think it could be foreshadowing or how Chat Noir knows that it was practically a lie because we've seen the episodes after that bUT YOU KNOW WHAT.

In light of making it angstier, let's think about what those last words "I will never abandon you" mean to ADRIEN under the mask for a second. He feels abandoned by his father (very obviously, mind you, to EVERYONE, because he literally makes the poor boy eat ALONE ALL THE TIME). As much as I HATE to say it, he probably feels abandoned by his mother, because emotions with death get messy (yes, she's not dead necessarily, but HE doesn't know that).

And with this past season, we know for a FACT that he feels abandoned by Ladybug. She keeps things from him, tells him not to do anything, and everything is changing when he wishes it wouldn't.

And here's the kicker: the poor child has probably never heard someone reassure him and say "It's okay. I'm not going anywhere."

And that's EXACTLY what our girl Ladybug did at the end of the episode. Regardless of the future complications that may arise from it, think about how Adrien must have felt to hear the love of his life say that to him when no one else EVER has.

Fun fact: not only am I a writer, but I'm also an artist! I'm not the best at drawing on the computer, so here's a little practice piece since I reallllyyyy want to step up my game and get better on here (here being the computer as a medium). It's on the simple side but that's okay! It's Marinette!

Soooo I've decided to try my hand at making an animatic for the first time everrrrr, specifically for ML. If anyone has any tips or advice for it, let me know! I'm a total beginner and am literally learning as I go. And guessing. There's a lot of guessing. :P

A Miraculous Theory??? Maybe???

Soooooooo it took me a while but I just got caught up on ML (I was a few episodes behind.... and by that I mean that I went off the grid for, like, 4 months like wow) and now I kinda have a theory. I'll put it under the cut for those who might not want to look at it right now.

So a lot of the theories that I've read for season 4 have been focused on Adrien and how he's going to react to all of the secrets being kept from him (we've already seen that with him and Nino). Obviously, as many others have already pointed out, he's getting more and more frustrated.

This is where the theories that I've seen take on one of two approaches. One, he goes Chat Blanc. For reasons I'll be discussing later in this post, I don't actually think it's Chat Blanc that he goes. The second one is him leaving the team and joining Hawkmoth. Given Adrien's feelings toward Hawkmoth, I don't really see him joining the villain (unless he finds out who Hawkmoth is, in which case who knows what might happen...). However, I can see him leaving the team, especially since he's already on the fast track to believing that he won't be needed much longer.

And here's where my theory comes in. As we all know the backstory now, I believe what will end up happening is something similar to Chat Blan but different. If there is anything this season has confirmed so far, it's how the suits of Miraculous Holders can change depending on their role. For Alya, she was able to become camouflaged and invisible. For Marinette, her suit changes when she needs the extra creative boost.

Now, thinking about Adrien, what do you think will happen when he finds out all of the secrets and lies? For me, I don't think he'll be akumatized. It's too simple of an outcome. No, I think his suit will change, just like the others. If he's angry and frustrated and betrayed, he'll need an outlet. And I think it'll be through his suit, like a powered-up version of Chat Noir. Destructive without the blanc.

That seems more fun to me.

Imagine This: Pirate AU

Working Title: It's the Miraculous Life For Me

Ship: Ladrien, Adrien/Ladybug

Warnings: implied parental neglect of emotions because Gabriel and Kim being slightly violent

Summary:

Adrien is a sheltered rich boy who tries to protect the servants in his home during a pirate raid and ends up captured instead. It's on this pirate ship that he meets a crew of people his age who are not as bad as they seem, especially the mysterious captain who hides her face and name.

It's the Miraculous Life For Me

It's horrifying to see how quickly his life had changed overnight. One moment, he was studying Chinese and negotiation tactics. The next, he finds himself tied to the mast of a pirate ship with a crew of children staring at him.

"Uh..." Adrien says slowly. watching as the stares quickly divert to every direction other than his. Above the sound of the rushing waves, he can hear steadily rising voices from across the deck.

“-re you thinking?! I said no prisoners!"

"You wouldn't say that if you knew who it was!"

“I highly doubt that."

The voices get closer and closer, and Adrien fights to sit still, to be unnoticeable for once in his life.

It doesn't work. Feet stop just in his line of sight and he looks up, staring through the blinding sunlight at the indistinguishable figure.

"What's your name?" the figure asks in a gentle, friendly tone. It's so different from what Adrien was expecting that his vocal cords cease to work.

Then he freezes as a cold stiver presses against his neck painfully. "I suggest you answer quickly, before I slip."

"Kim, what are you doing?" the figure hisses. "Get away from him. He's not going to do anything.

"Yeah, it's not like I can move with ropes around me," Adrien manages to finally choke, the snark his mother gave him flaring.

With a low growl, "Kim" shoves himself away. "Just answer the captain already.“

“Captain?" Adrien echoes, squinting up at the figure again. "You're the captain? No offense, but you look a lot shorter than what I pictured a captain to be."

"Not the first time I've heard that and it certainly won't be the last," the captain sighs, crouching down to Adrien's level. “Now, what's your name?"

Adrien takes the time to observe the captain now that he can see them, and he is just as curious. The captain wears a bright red cowl, hiding their features except for their delicate jawline and blush-pink lips. Their frame is petite but lean with muscle. With that, he can truly believe that yes, this is the captain.

And there is no doubt in his mind that the captain, even without a face, is undeniably beautiful.

"My name is Adrien Agreste," he finally says “Though I'm not sure why-"

The captain cuts him off harshly in another language, most likely a curse. "You brought an Agreste onto my ship?"

"I thought we could use him as leverage!"

"He's not leverage, he's certified death!" the captain hisses. "You just sentenced all of us to death with his father leading the charge."

"What are you talking about?" Adrien blurts out, his gaze darting between the two. "Is my father's job dangerous?"

The two pirates share a look. "Are you being serious?" the captain asks. “You can't be that sheltered."

Adrien lets out a humorless laugh. "Sheltered is an understatement," he mutters. "I was lucky to sit in the garden, much less a ship in the middle of the ocean."

"Your father never spoke of his job?" the captain presses gently, softly.

"What? No," Adrien scoffs, ignoring the pain in his chest. "I rarely see him to begin with, and when I do, we always speak of my studies."

He can't see the captain's expressions, but he can see the moment they come to a decision by the way their jaw suddenly sets in a determined line. "And you're telling the truth?"

"What good would lying do?" Adrien answers "If I were lying, you could just throw me overboard and leave me for the fishes."

The captain nods slowly, then looks at Kim. "Untie him."

The ropes fall away and Adrien stands up uncertainly, swaying with the ship's movements. The captain sticks a hand out, having stood up at the same time as him.

"You can call me Ladybug, " the captain says. "Welcome aboard the Miraculous. You've got a lot to learn."

So there's actually a lot more in my head for this AU but I feel like this is one of those ideas I will eventually write because HOW HAVE I NOT COME ACROSS PIRATES IN ML BEFORE. So, basically, because it doesn't exist, I will WRITE IT INTO EXISTENCE. This is just one tiny scene. I may write another one, lololol.

A Fanfic Thread Starting Soon???

Okay, so I debated with myself over this for a while, but I feel like it's a good idea so I'm gonna do it.

SO... In case you can't tell, I'm very slow at updating my fanfictions. I used to be a lot faster, but I found that I like to take my time and write it out slowly instead of rushing it. However, I do want to write more. That being said, I also know that as a reader it can be very... I don't want to say frustrating but sad? When an author doesn't update consistently.

SO I HAVE A SOLUTION THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE.

I've decided that I'm going to start a drabble/future-ideas/WIP thread under the tag Imagine This: Miraculous. It will consist of the ideas that are constantly going through my head at all times (and let me tell you, IT IS ALL THE TIME). It will mostly be scenes from AUs that I really want to write but may not have the motivation or time to, so a lot of it will be open-ended type of stuff. It'll be similar to prompts, really.

I'll be making sure to include what ML ship it's for and what the warnings may or may not be (as well as a summary of what the scenes are from and AUs and stuff). I'm really open to anything. Honestly, I'm doing this because you all get content, and I get to work through my inspiration and motivation without leaving you all hanging. It's really just a win-win for everyone! And hey, maybe one day, if I find the time to practice, I might even do some fanart with it!!!!

Let me know if you guys are interested! Or don't, because I'm going to be posting this stuff anywayyyyyyyyy~

Will I ever go a day without dreaming of ML?

The answer to this is, no. My brain thought it was suitable to dream about Adrienette and a slight Ladrien, so I will continue to be tortured by dreams that I cannot write because the plots would make little to no sense.

But I can say that a lot of what I dream about is, like, storyline worthy in the moment, even if it doesn't make sense.

I don't know what it is with ML and me dreaming, but I had another ML dream last night and it basically centered around Chloe and the beginning of her redemption arc and, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I HATED Alya because she let Chloe get in her head and turned her against Marinette and it was so messed up but it was quite the storyline
