Senior Home Archon Head canons

Because I’m back at my summer job at a senior home and hyperfixating on Genshin Impact here is Venti and Zhongli and the kind of residents they would be.

Zhongli

-Enjoys his time alone in his room but will participate in the activities he joys

-Normally sits quietly near the back of the room by a window with a book in his hand

-Enjoys telling stories to anyone that will listen and occasional ends up attracting a decent crowd of volunteers and workers

-“This takes me back to when...”

-“This brings to mind an old story...”

-Finds himself forgetting details of his stories and this upsets him.

-The other thing that upsets him is that he tends to feel somewhat humiliated having to be taken care of. He understands that the nurses are only trying to look after him but he wishes he didn’t need their help and he especially doesn’t like asking for help for things that breech into his private life

-Sometimes seen working on a puzzle

-No concept of time, if it wasn’t for the workers an entire day would pass by and he wouldn’t notice and wouldn’t eat.

-Talks quietly and makes it difficult for some of the other residents to hear him

-Typically polite to the workers/volunteers and thanks them

-“Thank you for listening to an old man like me.”

-Occasionally also pulls a volunteer aside to pass on life advice “Don’t rush, it’s important to take each day at a time and remember to stop, breathe and enjoy the journey.”

Venti

-Also has many stories but is less likely to talk about them

-Super active and Social, participates in nearly every activity!

-One of those seniors that you think must’ve been a wild young adult based off the jokes they make

-“What would you like to drink? We have water, apple juice-“

-“Dandelion Wine! And make it double!”

-An absolute sweetheart to the volunteers and any of the workers until they try to get Venti to take the medication he doesn’t want to take. It doesn’t matter how weak his bones may be getting he’ll be trying to get out of their f a s t

-Forgets that they aren’t as mobile as they used to be(though they are still fairly mobile) and ends up injuring himself from pushing himself too hard

-Keeps forgetting what jokes they’ve told before and what jokes are new. Therefore, he’ll repeat the same jokes over and over again sometimes over days sometimes over an hour.

-“Hah! Whatch me do a spin!”

-“Pls sir I’m worried about your safety.”

-“If I go out I’m going out doing with a bang!”

-Takes every single opportunity to be outside. And if he can’t get outside he’ll crack open a window

-He finds the whole senior home to be stuffy

-Luckily he has his found family consistently in taking him out for a nice road trip

-constantly tells crazy stories and all the Volunteers assume that he’s misremembering or making them up because of Dementia but all of the stories are actually completely true.

-“That’s very nice sir, it sounds like you must’ve been very brave.”

Killua and Coming out as Trans

Killua when a friend comes out as transgender

-This isn’t the first time he has met someone who is trans as his sister is also trans and he naturally wholeheartedly accepts you

-Understands that it must have taken a lot of courage to tell him and acknowledges this

-Depending on how close you are if you started crying he would either pull you in for a hug or internally panic and say something like “Hey, of course you’re still my friend how bad do you think I am?!” 

-Instant pronoun change!

-Anytime someone uses the incorrect pronouns he will immediately correct them unless you specifically ask him to do otherwise

-If anyone outright refuses to use the correct pronouns or shows disrespect to your gender in any other way he can and will put the fear of God in them. 

-”Say that again, I dare you. See what happens” he’ll say with the most lethal death glare the other person has ever witnessed

-Seriously, will go absolutely feral if anyone tried to use gender as in excuse to hurt you

-If you needed help raising money for surgery or something he’d take the opportunity to tell you everything he learned when he and Gon were trying to buy Greed island

Kurapika/Coping with Trauma Imagines

-Kurapika empathizes completely with your journey, having to cope with his own relentless trauma

-He wouldn’t ask any questions about your experience and leave you in charge of decided if when and how much you want to tell him

-In fact he doesn’t talk much at all and mostly provides you with comfortable silence

-When he does use words to comfort you they tend to fall under one of two categories

-One: Using logic to comfort your hyper vigilance. “You are safe right now. It wouldn’t make any sense for them to be here now and if they were they wouldn’t have the skills necessary to get past me or even Leorio for the matter.” He won’t out reject your worries and instead provide logical evidence of how you are safe.

-Two: Little comments about how he can relate to your situation to make you feel less lonely and advice from his personal experiences. “Nightmares? I understand, I have them too. Would you like to hear how I normally cope with them?”

-If it’s a romantic relationship there would be physical affection involved but otherwise Kurapika is likely to perfer keeping his space unless the other person Initiates.

-Anytime he discovers something that seems to be a trigger to you he’ll do his best to help you avoid those things, when it’s unavoidable he’ll try and give you a warning before hand

-If your trauma was caused by a specific person or group of people he would quickly grow to despise them and call them out on their despicable immoral behaviour

-If one of those people tried coming back into your life or to do anything that would hurt you again he would be p i s s e d and they would very much regret ever considering harming you

-On accident, if he were to trigger or scare you he would feel extremely guilty. Kurapika makes a point to attempt be as morally correct as possible while on his path of revenge and he also empathizes with you.

Hanguaun Jun/Anxiety Imagines

-Lan Wanji is observant and is quick to notice something is off when someone is feeling anxious

-Because Gusu is so strict with rules and Lan Wangji a quiet follower of those rules he can be intimidating to many

-If he noticed you having particularly bad anxiety he might pull you away from the room without telling where you are going and not realizing how nervwrecking his silence is.

-He will take you to sit down and tell you to relax, where he’ll play guqin for you. Lan Wangji no doubt knows a piece of music that he can play that calms anxiety.

-Once you realize that you are not in fact in trouble it becomes a lot easier to relax and focus on the sounds of strings being plucked and to steady your breathing.

-At some point he will take note that you are at ease and bring the music to a gentle stop and dismiss you to carry about your day.

-He often makes a point to remind others of two important rules: Love all beings and love yourself.

-Lan Wangji might ask questions at a later point about your anxiety but he always keeps his questions short and to the point. If you ever aren’t comfortable answering a question he completely understands. “Is the music helpful?” “Is there something else you think would help?” But for the most he doesn’t talk much and it’s up you if you wanted to initiate conversation.

-When asked where he learned to play like that he’ll say that someone dear to him often had trouble with his temperament and would not disclose any more information.

-After a while of knowing him it becomes a lot more clear when he silently helps you retreat from a situation what he is actually doing even if there are no words exchanged.
