DIO arrives in the quaint town of Morioh, where he is shocked to find out that he looks over a century too young. He forms an unlikely friendship with Josuke Higashikata, who convinces him to enrol in Duwang Academy. However, he soon regrets his decision upon learning how eccentric the school's director is. To further bruise his ego, he meets a Sprigatito and new rival who both seem to NOT be completely fascinated by him!

If anyone was hoping Jotaro would be the second protagonist, I always thought he'd fit more as an "antagonistic" character for a DIO-centric nuzlocke comic. Plus, he already gets so much screentime in the anime. Another option was Jonathan, but as hilarious as it'd be to have a decapitated head as a character (à la Lollipop Chainsaw), I'm afraid he wouldn't be great at commanding Pokémon without arms to carry Pokéballs. So instead, it's the fabulous Josuke! He was a fitting choice, given the school setting and birds with matching pompadours. Plus, he's chikoreject's favourite.
