It's very seldom that I find myself excited about music these days- but when I heard this I got HYPE!!! Robert Glasper just makes good fuggin music! If you are like me and finding yourself on the more "grown up" side of music then you are going to love this. At first listen, I could instantly taste the wine and smell the exotic incense burning (never mind the fact that I'm at the Newark Airport waiting for my delayed flight). His music just has the ability to take you- there. Where ever "there" is. It's smooth, it's the perfect blend of grown, and dare I say it, sexy. I, like most women have had some body image issues. I'm a curvy girl with big bewbs and big thighs and I used to dread looking at myself in the mirror. I just didn't want to. I would find myself buying bigger clothes to hide my "extras" and all that. But recently I had an epiphany. I was listening to some women that I know, talk about their bodies and how they needed to diet (yadda yadda). I immediately found myself thinking "these skinny bitches are crazy".. then a light bulb (nah I need something more dramatic) a freaking cannon when off in my head-

As women,(let me speak for myself) as a woman, it has taken me forever to get to a point where I am comfortable being myself and being in my body. I have come to realize it's really not about being skinny, thick, or any other label you want to put on it, it's about your confidence as a woman. It's all about loving yourself and the skin you are in! Let's be real here, I've seen the women in my family (one side anyway) and if I was a size 2 I'd still have these big ass thighs and these bewbs; they ain't going (yes ain't going) anywhere! It's about embracing YOUR sexy on YOUR level. It's knowing every woman on this earth has flaws, and that men 9 times out of 10 are not tripping on half of the madness we kill ourselves worrying about.

Now, I'm not saying just let yourself go, no we all need to be healthy. I'm saying that you can be a size 2 or a 22 and still be unhappy with yourself inside and out. Discover your body, get to know yourself, find that thing that you love about yourself and rock the shit out of it!

I'm not going to get into the whole J.Cole/Kanye debate- but I will say this; as long as Kanye is willing to take chances with his music, he'll always be on top. I'm sorry, not taking any thing from Cole, but we heard that from you already. I'm going to always be partial to artist who aren't afraid to put out MUSIC!! Cross a genre or two, c'mon man Daft Punk?!? Beyond ill in my eyes.

I have a love/hate relationship with 'Ye but don't we all? I know I'm not the only one out there that feels this way. Remember the when he was rollin with "Buttercup" n'nem (I'll post that pic shortly), then he was- well he hasn't stopped ranting, but you get what I'm saying. He's like that annoying play cousin you grew up with, that's weird but smart as shit so you find yourself always protecting them cause nobody else really understands their weird asses.. That's Kanye for me, I love his music and I always find myself having to defend why I like it.

I'm not going to get all deep, because its late and I need my rest.... so just listen.

January 12th Day One

Today was my first official day back in the gym. I don't have much to say today outside of everything hurts. My arms, legs, back, and places I didn't even know could hurt- hurt. This tells me one thing and one thing only, great damn workout. Now why I decided to do this to myself before work, i'on know. Let me tell you I am sleepy!!! First workout over and done. Good day!
