the graph of my life

I attempted NaNoWriMo (again) this year. This graph shows how much I've written. Coincidentally it also shows my motivation to do anything throughout the month. Any month not just November. If nothing else, at least I now know that.

(I'm not gonna finish but I'm still very proud of where I got because I've written more than any other time I tried writing an original story. Just a side note.)

This is what happens when I'm bored at work and my boss hands me a piece of paper and a pen (she knew I wanted to draw on it). The drawings are bad but they do convey the emotions pretty well.

I saw this as an incorrect quote once, so I don't know where it's originally from. I don't know how readable it is so:

Peridot: Change is inedible.

Lapis: *reading* I think you meant inevitable.

Peridot: *spitting out coins* No, I did not.

Lapis' bow was a generous "donation" of Emily. She's a six year old girl they take care of for reasons longer than this post can hold.

if I'm not the embodiment of chaotic time management I don't know who is.

This shy angel's name is Aventurine. She's the Fusion of a Sapphire and a Lapis. Her special power is that she can project her future vision onto water. The bigger the possibility the bigger the water droplet it's on.

I will color this and try to add the scenes but for now, I just wanted to share it because unlike most of my drawings, I'm proud of this one.

WD!Steven: Oh my God you're so cute!

Peridot: yup, he's definitely a Steven.

Steven: he's like an angry little slice of pie. *chukles*

*Some time later*

Steven: I'm just like you.

WD!Steven: you are?

Steven: you're just like me. There's somewhere else we'd rather be. Somewhere that's ours, somewhere that dreams come true. Yes I am a girl like you!

Connie: *giggling* Girl?

WD!Steven: *toward Connie* You'd never think that it was so. *grabbing Steven's hand* but now I've met you and I know. It's plain as day, sure as the sky is blue. Yes I am a girl like you!

Connie: I can't believe we fell for these idiots.

WD!Connie: Speak for yourself. We're just friends with Steven. But this is why though. His different thinking *singing and dancing in the bg* and besides, I'm just happy to see Steven be so genuinely happy.

Connie: tell me about it.

WD!Steven is a little off character but I still like this scenario.

Steven Universe: Ventures. Steven buys an SUV and becomes a traveling "act."

Steven Universe ended on a great note, but now I just really want a spinoff series about Steven travelling across America and inflicting his own brand of weirdness on people

“So this guy walks into the diner. I say ‘guy’ because I couldn’t tell how old he was, he’s either a very tall child or a babyfaced grandpa. He’s wearing a bright pink varsity jacket and flip-flops, and when he’s done breakfast he gives me a fifty-dollar tip on a five dollar breakfast. So now I’m thinking, ‘Oh, I gotta know more about this guy,’ and I ask him what he does for work.

“And this guy looks at me, and he looks like the oldest man in the world, and he says, and I quote, ‘I used to own a school but I retired when the stress started killing me,’ and walks out. I think about him maybe once a week.”

So I finally finished it. Mostly took so long because of free time issues but also procrastination. I pushed through it, it could be better but I'm proud of it. Any advice and/or criticism you have is welcome.

There is still some stuff I wanna do, but for now, these are ready. I have one more page but don't know when that will be ready.

Just for clarification, this is happening 2-3 weeks after "I am my monster" and well, somewhere between "The Calm" part 1 and 2
