Parallel Worlds (poem written by me)

In a parallel world I’d always know what to say, I’d know what’s around the corner and where my life is headed. In a parallel world I’m a know-it-all, I aced all the tests, I was popular in school and I’m still friends with everyone. In a parallel world I’m straight and I have kids at this age, I’ve read all the books I put on the shelf and I can dance.

In a parallel world I’m a plant parent, my plants never die. In a parallel world I’m a millionaire and money’s never a problem. In a parallel world I’m normal and dull. In a parallel world I’m the Doctor’s companion, I’m a famous actress. In a parallel world I’ve written a book.

In a parallel world I’m never wrong, I’m mentally stable and I can speak another language. In a parallel world, I have it all figured out, a life where my father’s still alive. I’m not such a wreck in that world, as I am in this one. I’d like to meet her but I’d feel too jealous.
