Some pre-season 2 headcannons for Dndads

Spoilers for both seasons ahead!

Read at your own risk!

- Ron retwists Terry Jr's hair while in the forgotten realms to the best of his abilities. Afterwards, Samantha would teach him how to do it better and it becomes a bonding experience for the two

- Lark and Sparrow would notice one day randomly they have pointy ears. Henry would have to explain to them that they always had pointy ears, they just thought it was normal because Henry had pointy ears. They're actually, y'know, half elves.

- Nicky would call Glenn "Dad" half the time on accident. Pisses Jodie off but Glenn would just shake his head and be like "just cuz I'm cooler doesn't mean I'm your dad, ayeeeeee". Makes him a little sad in the beginning but it becomes a running joke between them

- Terry Jr and Grant 100% had a short dating stint in the forgotten realms but both of them said "Nahhhh" after

- Darryl realized he's bisexual post forgotten realms. He goes to pride parades with Grant wearing little pins but he keeps it in the down low.

- Lark is on the aspec spectrum, Sparrow is pan like his father. They wear shirts that way "All or Nothing" with both flags as a joke.

- Ron takes up fishing with Terry Jr but half the time they just would go feed the ducks instead of catching any fish. They use popcorn instead of bread

- Henry, Darryl, and Ron have a weekly get together where they hang out and sometimes talk about what happened in the Forgotten Realms. It's a lot of trauma on them all so they confide in each other

- All the dads were at Sparrow's wedding and definitely cried more times than anyone could count. Henry and Darryl danced like idiots while Carol and Mercedes talked over a glass of wine

- All the wives have book club every week, which often turns into just them talking together and enjoying each other's company

- Ron has nightmares a lot of the time about Willy. Henry has nightmares about Barry. Both often spend time post nightmare together, with the other dads as back- up if needed

- Henry has a giant fear of throwing up post doodler, to the point he only throws up if his body forces him to. Otherwise he swallows it down.

- Grant met Marco on Fortnight

- Lark and Sparrow got their tattoos updated when they were 18 to fix them. Because, y'know, child making the tattoo wouldn't last long. Sparrow adds Normal and Hero's names to his other arm after both of them are born.

- Normal and Hero used to play with Lincoln during the summer. Hero and Lincoln play one on one while Normal would cheer them on!

- Taylor would be the one guy in summer wearing a full jacket and long pants and boots because he's constantly freezing

- Hero has round ears, Normal has pointy ears post church of the doodler

- Hermie had a crush on Normal pre-joker story but he had to drop it for the ✨ character✨ of it all

- Normal is trans (duh), and most of his binders were handmade by Lark

- Taylor has a ton of different arm crutches, mainly decorated, but he only has one sword cane.

- Grant is in therapy and on antidepressants but his true antidepressant is his family (he says this and it is not true, he's just cheesey)

First impressions/update

Spoilers for Episode 23 of season 2!

The way the players slip so well into their old characters but equally slipped right back into the new ones brought me so much joy. You can hear the difference between them all and it's so damn impressive.

Anthony is brilliant, the way he balances the old story and the new, adding in old details while growing the characters. The thing with Hermie and Jodie and Scam works so damn well, he came up with it like it was nothing.

Will is and always will be the main character. The way his voice shakes as Henry but differently as Normal, the way he portrays their sadness in different ways. Protective Henry and confused Normal, both struggling with the same battle.

As always, the acoustic version of "Alright" will always get me misty eyed. We're getting to the point of Season 1 when I bawled my eyes out at work. Mentally preparing for that but also so damn excited. I've struggled with so long just letting myself cry and weirdly these broken dads and broken teens are helping me grow and learn myself.

All I can say is thank you. To the cast, to the production team, to everyone in this community. I wouldn't be the same person without it.

I'm a scholarly person, but my main focuses lie in creative writing, US history, and agriculture. I do art and writing most of the time on my blog!

i am really into hermitcraft, and my favourite is tango tek. I'm also into things like tales from a stinky dragon, doctor who, the MCU, total drama, and ace attorneys!

important things to note about me:

I'm not super into tag games, or like, tag asks so uh, send them my way and all, its just not 100% i'll do them!

im very sensative to things like vomit, so i would appreciate moots to tag those things. Im also very sensative to bright colours.

So I know the teens technically only really have one outfit (excluding Norm), but I wanted to draw some other ones!

This one is a personal favorite, I feel like the outfits are very fitting. Scary is in a tank top and flannel, Taylor is in some old anime shirt and gym shorts, Lincoln is just in soccer themed PJ pants, and Normal is in and oversized teenie shirt with normal black shorts. Taylor also has Crocs and Normal has slippers :)

Taylor: It's 2 am!

Next up is PE! Basically everyone is just in variations of a school uniform (very common in America for High Schools that have required gym wear), so this was more a practice of posing and creating character interactions.

Taylor: I'm literally disabled!

Scary: I don't want to play!

As much as I love the formal outfits given to each character, I can't draw a gundem, I can't draw a giant Teenie, so uh, I made new outfits! Just general cute vibes, Scary and Lincoln are on a date while Taylor and Normal can't go Stag and couldn't find a date. Is this a Teen High dance? Or something more fancy? You decide.

Finally I wanted to dress everyone up in the outfits from the Odyssey Campaign! I was running out of space on the page so they're really tiny, but look how cute!!!

I don't know how other people see Taylor's disability (but I know the majority of the fandom has some different idea), but with my very little knowledge I'm giving him a bad leg. Most likely weak hip joints or something similar, I need to do more research though. I gave him an arm crutch, similar to @gamsdoodles, I hope I'm doing this right!

The only dndads head cannon that i care so so much for is lark being on the aromantic spectrum. Like if sparrow is the love wolf he must be the lone wolf.
