Wild Turkey
The wild turkey is an iconic bird for the United States. Found virtually all over the country and into Mexico, turkeys are a large game bird with dark feathers and iridescent bronze-green coloring. Color variations differ out west as white tips can be seen on their tails as well. These birds move in large groups known as flocks. Despite their large size they can still fly short distances if needed.

Song Sparrow
A Song Sparrow perched on drying brambles in a meadow. These sparrows are among the most widespread in North America. While sparrows may look similar to each other, the Song Sparrows song can be heard from quite a distance and is quite unmistakeable, a personal favorite sound during warmer months.
