There is something about Laszlo that is so easy to paint...he's just so pretty 98% of the time (2% he's hot) every scene he's so aesthetically pleasing that I could paint him every day for years.

Did an experiment with my ipad settings. Picked a few colours and turned my ipad grey scale while I painted with colours I didn't know or see. Didn't turn it back until I finished the painting. The black and while is the painting i was watching and the coloured one is what happened at the end. Not really sure if I like the outcome but it's very interesting.

I really enjoy playing around with lighting in my head . Staring at this shot I noticed the book almost seemed to glow so I thought what if the book was the primary light source and then picked my two favourite colours. 🙂

This is another imagination creation for my Favourite detective/inspector Llewelyn Watts. This scene specifically is one of the main scenes I fell head over heels in love with him. The way he forfeits his control and surrenders his obedience to the doctor. The genuine worry over Georges survival and softness of his attempts to sooth him. And also the look he has with the rolled up sleeves and exposed forearms holding him down gently. Ughh he's just so attractive here I wanted to reflect that with prettier lighting.

I just absolutely adore not only the movie Argylle and his character Aiden but Sam Rockwell's gorgeous smile. It's infectious and cheezy and adorable I wish I could hug it. This scene and the way he picks her up and smiles at her in his arms just kills me.

Argylle has become my new hyperfixation and comfort film. This scene specifically is just incredible. Both Sam and Bryce are hot here. 🥰 I can't get over this dance move they did and the smoke was so much fun to paint.

Murdoch mysteries will always be a life saver and a cherished lifeline from back in uni. Watching this silly little show every night for 6 months keeping our sanity alive means the world to us. One of our (K) favourite characters is this guy here. Detective Llewelyn Watts played by Daniel maslany. Looking back now I realise he was our first connection and association with both autism and being Queer. This painting is in admiration for a handsome quirky detective.
