Also called Neutgender.
[PT: Neut: a gender identity related to one's usage of It/Its/Itself pronouns to communicate a sense of self that is disconnected from humanity, "other" and/or neuter, but not genderless. Also called Neutgender.]
Etymology
[PT: Etymology]
The etymology of this term is unknown. Neut(gender) was coined by tumblr user Wingsdownmyspine in March 2020. The Neutgender pride flag and an expanded definition were reposted to Beyond-Mogai-Pride-Flags by Mod Fy two days later.
"Neut" is likely an abbreviation of "Neuter" or "Neutral", but this has not been confirmed by the original coiner of the term.
Flag
[PT: Flag]
The original flag was created by the coiner at the same time as the term. This flag consists of four horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, they are black, grey, white and red. The meaning of the original flag is unknown.
Due to being almost completely identical to the Asocial flag designed two years prior to Neutgender, I took it upon myself to make an alternate flag, which is the main purpose of this post.
This alternate flag consists of six, horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, the stripes are burgundy, desaturated magenta, light lavender, tan, desaturated green and dark green. Each stripe has the following meanings:
The burgundy stripe represents being Neut.
The magenta stripe represents disconnection from humanity.
The light lavender represents a present sense of gender.
The tan stripe represents the usage of It/Its pronouns (as opposed to They/Them).
The light green stripe represents otherness.
The dark green stripe represents neuterness/neutrality.
The burgundy stripe is a homage to the original flag that used red alongside a monochrome color palette.
Alternate flag by Gent of Gender-Jargon, April 2024.

Hey @the-delta-quadrant,
I saw your post in the MOGAI tags and wanted to answer your questions regarding Neutrois identity. Writing all this out in a reply would have been a pain, so I went ahead and responded in a post. Obviously, I can only speak for myself, so I'll be talking about my experiences specifically.
Is it similar to Gender Apathy?
Not for me. I feel that my state of neutrality is purposeful and presently felt. I do not feel apathetic regarding my gender.
Is it a balance of genders? if so, all genders or only binary genders or something else?
This is more descriptive of my experience. I feel that it is an impartiality across all genders that is not tethered to the midbinary.
I often describe it like this: If the entirety of the gender spectrum was plotted on a coordinate plan, I would describe Neutrois as being located at the origin.
More abstractly, I associate my neutrality with genericity and a non-specific personhood. I feel as though my Neutrois identity is a blank slate that I can draw anything upon.
If it's a neutralisation of genders, how do you experience this?
I don't conceptualize my experience like this, but I know that some other Neutrois people do. I've seen it described as a state of nullity which is achieved through the negation of all genders.
Hopefully someone else can provide a better answer.
is your gender in between genders? which ones?
I don't consider my gender to be in between any genders. I feel like Neutrois identity has it's own unique qualities related to the multitude of concepts surrounding neutrality/nullity that are unrelated to any other gender, rather than being the more general quality of "neither".
I also consider Neutrois and Maverique to be related, along with Pera. I feel like the three identities can be very similar (but also very different) depending on how they are conceptualized.
This was interesting to answer! I hope that gave you some of the insight you were looking for. :-)
— Gent
i'd love to hear from neutrois, neutral, niaspec, transneutral etc. people how you define your genders.
is it similar to gender apathy? is it a balance of genders? if so, all genders or only binary genders or something else? if it's a neutralisation of genders, how do you experience this? is your gender in between genders? which ones? literally anything you want to say about your gender? these are just random questions, they don't have to apply to you.
as a maverique i have always kind of considered people in the above categories to be siblings in gender in some way, but i don't actually know that much about you all's experiences.

[Image ID: The Pussycat Chemme flag created by coiner Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2024. The flag consists of five horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, the horizontal stripes are strawberry red, orange, sky blue, mint green and light blue. /.End ID]
Pussycat Chemme: a Chemme who is both a Soft Butch and a Thistle Femme; a combined Soft Butch-Thistle Femme identity.
[PT: Pussycat Chemme: a Chemme who is both a Soft Butch and a Thistle Femme; a combined Soft Butch-Thistle Femme identity. / .End PT]
Etymology
Chemme was coined by Gent of Gender-Jargon in 2024. Chemme is formed from English, "Ch" from "Butch" + "-emme" from "Femme".
The adjective "Pussycat" was given due to the nature of the identity. Since this term describes a joined Soft Butch-Thistle Femme identity, it made sense to choose something is both soft and sharp, hence the choice of "Pussycat".
Coined by Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2024.
Elaboration
Chemme describes any individual who is both Butch and Femme. Chemme is similar to Butchfemme, but specifies Chemme as being distinct from Futch, whereas Butchfemme does not. Pussycat Chemme specifically refers to a unified Soft Butch-Thistle Femme identity. It is a Chemme microlabel.
Flag
The flag was created by combining the Soft Butch by tumblr user Plurgai (Terminated) and the Butchy Femme by tumblr user Beyond-Mogai-Pride-Flags, mod AP. The stripes of the flag do not have a specific meaning. The flag consists of five horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, the horizontal stripes are strawberry red, orange, sky blue, mint green and light blue. The top two stripes are taken from the Butchy Femme flag and the bottom two stripes are taken from the Soft Butch flag. Flag by Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2024.

[Image ID: The Chemme flag created by coiner Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2024. The flag consists of seven horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, the horizontal stripes are burnt orange, orange, coral, white, lilac, light purple and purple. /.End ID]
Chemme: a combined Butch-Femme identity.
[PT: Chemme: a combined Butch-Femme identity. /.End PT]
When referring to gender, Chemmegender may be used.
Etymology
From English, "Ch" from "Butch" + "-emme" from "Femme". Coined by Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2024.
Elaboration
Chemme describes any individual who is both Butch and Femme. Chemme is similar to Butchfemme, but specifies Chemme as being distinct from Futch. In this context, Futch is conceptualized as a being between Butch and Femme. Whereas Chemme is a term to describe a coupled Butch-Femme experience. This experience can be (in)distinct, simultaneous, fluid, fluctuating, (un)equal, partial, etc.
Like Butch, Femme, Futch, etc., Chemme can be a queer subcultural identity or a gender identity specifically. When specifying a Chemme gender identity, Chemmegender can be used. Chemmegender describes an individual with a Butchgender-Femmegender bigender.
Flag
The Chemme flag was created using two common Butch and Femme flags, created by tumblr user Butchspace and tumblr user Noodle, respectively with slight color adjustment. The topmost three stripes are taken from the aforementioned Butch flag. The middle stripe is white, like it is in both the Butch and Femme flags. The bottom three stripes are taken from the Femme flag. From top to bottom, the Chemme flag is burnt orange, orange, coral, white, lilac, light purple and dark purple. The stripes have the following meanings:
The burnt orange, orange and coral stripes represent Butch identity.
The white stripe represents Multigender experience.
The lilac, light purple and dark purple stripes represent Femme identity.

[Image ID: The Miderix flag created by coiner Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2023. The flag consists of three vertical stripes and one central, horizontal stripe. From left to right, the vertical stripes are brick red, coral and peach. The central stripe is light blue-green. /.End ID]
Miderix: Describing a Non-Miderian individual that finds a midbinarine gender attribution befitting and considers it an essential facet of their gender identity.
A sibling term of Mascix, Femix, Gynandrix, Neuix & Aphorix.
Etymology
Miderix was created to mirror the paradigm used for Mascix. Femix, Gynandrix and Aphorian.
From English, “Mider” from “Miderian” + “-ix”, an neologistic suffix used by other terms in this genus, originally based upon Apathmascix and Apathfemix coined by user Cybertroniancoining. Miderix was coined by Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2023.
Elaboration
Miderix is a complex and potentially contradictory identity in which one’s gender is not miderian, but has midbinarine traits attributed to them nonetheless, and this attribution is not only considered to be fitting by the individual, but an integral part of their overall gender experience.
More simply, a Miderix individual:
Has a gender identity that they consider to be Non-Miderian.
Has traits of midbinarinity attributed to them by other individuals.
Considers having traits of midbinarinity attributed to their person to be agreeable and in a few, multiple or all manners at least part of the time.
Considers this attribution to be an intrinsic part of their experience of their gender as a whole.
A Miderix individual is not apathetic to a midbinarine gender attribution, but instead enjoys, appreciate, entertains, welcomes or otherwise freely accepts midbinarine traits being attributed to their person. Furthermore, this attribution is a fundamental aspect of their gender experience.
Flag
The Miderix flag was created to match the Mascix, Femix, Gynandrix, Neuix and Aphorix flags. The flag consists of three vertical bars and a central, horizontal bar, forming a tri-color flag with a median line. At the left is the darkest shade of pink-orange, becoming lighter as it moves right. The median stripes is a light blue-green in color. The colors have the following meanings:
The Dark orange, coral and peach stripes represents midbinarine gender attribution.
The light seafoam stripe represents not being Miderian.
The Miderix flag was created by Gent of Gender-Jargon in 2023.
Note: Gender attribution is not necessarily based upon one’s expression, but is more frequently an assumption made about an individual’s gender identity without their input. Being an assumption, it is not always correct, good, wanted or warranted. Affirming attributions are congruent with one’s perception of themselves. Incorrect and undesired attributions are incongruent with this perception and are often distressing. Miderix should not be used to describe anyone who does not like midbinarinity being attributed to them, as it would be misdenoting on multiple levels

Aphorix: Describing a Non-Aphorian individual that finds an abinarine gender attribution befitting and considers it an essential facet of their gender identity.
A sibling term of Mascix, Femix, Gynandrix & Neuix.
Etymology
Aphorix was created to mirror the paradigm used for Mascix. Femix, Gynandrix and Neuix.
From English, “Aphor” from “Aphorian” + “-ix”, an neologistic suffix used by other terms in this genus, originally based upon Apathmascix and Apathfemix coined by user Cybertroniancoining. Aphorix was coined by Gent of Gender-Jargon, 2023.
Elaboration
Aphorix is a complex and potentially contradictory identity in which one’s gender is not aphorian, but has abinarine traits attributed to them nonetheless, and this attribution is not only considered to be fitting by the individual, but an integral part of their overall gender experience.
More simply, an Aphorix individual:
Has a gender identity that they consider to be Non-Aphorian.

Considers having traits of abinarinity attributed to their person to be agreeable and in a few, multiple or all manners at least part of the time.
Considers this attribution to be an intrinsic part of their experience of their gender as a whole.
An Aphorix individual is not apathetic to an abinarine gender attribution, but instead enjoys, appreciate, entertains, welcomes or otherwise freely accepts abinarine traits being attributed to their person. Furthermore, this attribution is a fundamental aspect of their gender experience.
Flag
The Aphorix flag was created to match the Mascix, Femix, Gynandrix and Neuix flags. The flag consists of three vertical bars and a central, horizontal bar, forming a tri-color flag with a median line. At the left is the darkest yellow, becoming lighter as it moves right. The central stripe is light olive green. /.End ID]
Femix: Describing a Non-Female individual that finds a feminine gender attribution befitting and considers it an essential facet of their gender identity.
Based upon the term Apathfemix.
Etymology
Femix is derived from Apathfemix, created by removing the prefix Apath-, indicating apathy. The root, Femix, has a unknown etymological origin. Apathfemix was coined by user Cybertroniancoining in December 2023. The term Femix, coined by Gent of Gender-Jargon a few days after, is directly based upon user Cybertroniancoining’s term as a related concept.
Elaboration
Femix is a complex and potentially contradictory identity in which one’s gender is not “Female”, but has feminine traits attributed to them nonetheless, and this attribution is not only considered to be fitting by the individual, but an integral part of their overall gender experience.
More simply, an Femix individual:
Has a gender identity that they consider to be Non-Female.
Has traits of femininity attributed to them by other individuals.
Considers having traits of femininity attributed to their person to be agreeable and in a few, multiple or all manners at least part of the time.
Considers this attribution to be an intrinsic part of their experience of their gender as a whole.
Femix differs from Apathfemix in that a Femix individual is definitively not apathetic towards feminine traits being attributed to them, nor are they inherently beyond gender as a concept. In place of indifference, a Femix individual enjoys, appreciates, entertains, welcomes or otherwise freely accepts feminine traits being attributed to their person. Furthermore, this attribution is a fundamental aspect of their gender experience.
Flag
The Femix flag is based upon the Apathfemix flag created by the coiner of the term. The Apathfemix flag utilizes the color palette from the Inersgender flag created by user Stellette in 2014 alongside a tri-color pink scheme. The Femix flag is color-picked from the tri-color b pink scheme, shown across three vertical bars, with the darkest pink at the left progressing to the lightest pink to the right. In the middle, a horizontal, light olive green stripe was added to represent the quality of being a Femix being a Non-Female. The Femix flag was created by Gent of Gender-Jargon in 2023.
Note: Gender attribution is not necessarily based upon one’s expression, but is more frequently an assumption made about an individual’s gender identity without their input. Being an assumption, it is not always correct, good, wanted or warranted. Affirming attributions are congruent with one’s perception of themselves. The term Mascix, coined by Gent of Gender-Jargon a few days after, is directly based upon user Cybertroniancoining's term as a related concept.
Elaboration
Mascix is a complex and potentially contradictory identity in which one's gender is not Male, but has masculine traits attributed to them nonetheless, and this attribution is not only considered to be fitting by the individual, but an integral part of their overall gender experience.

Hey! gender-resource here under a new name here. Awesome term! I will certainly add this to my masterlist :-)
- Gent
Tumblr media
Lensaspik
A gender that is without precedent, and as a result, is unrelated to any existing descriptors. It is also inherently indescribable in words, despite the one experiencing it knowing exactly what it is.
It's a partner gender to @gender-resource's nensamik, but where nensamik isn't inherently indescribable, lensaspik is.
The name comes from the Volapük words 'leno' and 'spikön' meaning not at all and speak respectively.
The flag is the same as the nensamik flag, but with black stripes to represent the fact that while it can be felt, it can't cross the barrier of language to be explained or described.

Also what's an autonomous gender? /gen
Previous ask from user pirategracey:
I was browsing your Tumblr since you liked my post and you coined intragender, a gender modality I use. That's so cool /gen
Hey there! I'm so happy you found one of my terms to be helpful for you.
To paraphrase my original definition of autonomous gender, it refers to a gender experience that is 1) self-determined, 2) independent from outside governance as well as 3) a sense of freedom regarding one's actions, wills or desires.
In other words, this means that autonomous genders are fully defined by oneself, without the imposition of outside structures and authorities (systemic or interpersonal). This can be expressed in numerous ways, such as a Maverique, Autonomique or Egogender identity.
Gender autonomy can also extend to those who have individualistically redefined preexisting, heteronomic roles, identities and/or presentations. To rephrase, non-autonomous gender experiences can be reconceptualized through one's selfhood and/or liberation of the self.
Autonomy as a nature of gender can be kinda confusing. If you need clarification or have any other questions, please don't hesitate to send me another ask! :-)

Cocuingender: an umbrella term describing all genders identities that are Countercultural In Nature (COCUIN)
Etymology
The term Cocuingender is constructed to conform to other “-In Nature” terms (Mingender, Fingender, Ningender, Quingender, Roingender, Agingender, Xingender, Cuingender, Oingender, Keingender, etc.)The acronym “COCUIN” is constructed with the “CO” and “CU” of “Countercultural”,  combined with the “I” from “In” and the “N” from “Nature”. The acronym is combined with the neological suffix “-gender”, indicating genderedness. Coined by Gent (Gender-Jargon), 2022.
The sibling term to Cocuingender is Sucuingender.
Elaboration
A counterculture is a (sub)culture with values, beliefs, interests and/or traditions that not only vary from, but stand in opposition to and/or are considered to be incompatible with the larger, prevailing mainstream norm. Rather than describing only variance from a parent culture, such as with a subculture, countercultures also challenge and/or subvert the dominate culture, which may or may not be it’s parent culture.
There are many different countercultures that have existed throughout time and society, all having in common that they are, or are considered to be, irreconcilable with the core values, beliefs and traditions of the given society in some way, shape or form. Subcultures deviate from the norm, and often challenge it, but are not in direct conflict with the very ideology of the parent culture. Some examples of countercultures in the U.S. include, but are not limited to: Hippies, punks, relationship anarchists/ENMs/nonamorists/amatopunks, cannabis culture, the feminist movement, off-the-grid homesteading & self-sufficiency movement, the free & open-source software movement, atheists & secularists, communists, the animal liberation movement, the LANDBACK movement & other decolonization efforts, anarchists, the ecology movement and of course, the LGBT+/Queer/MOGAI/Microlabel community.
Like sucuingenders, cocuingenders are exclusive identities, and as such, may only be claimed by those who participate within the given counterculture. If a counterculture is rooted in a closed culture/community/group/practice/etc. itself, the cocuingender would only be accessible to those capable of the experience. Naturally, the exclusivity of a term is further compounded by any other exclusive identities that intersect with the cocuingender. Some manner of participation in the counterculture, however or whatever that may be, is a requirement for identification. This quality is what separates it from aesthetigenders and other similar types of xenogenders.
Flag
The flag was created by the coiner at the same time as the term itself. The flag consists of seven thin, horizontal stripes of the same size.  From top to bottom, the color of the stripes are black, scarlet, plum, violet, teal and jade green. The colors have the following meanings:
The top and bottom black stripes represents adversity, social othering and holding values and traditions distinct from those held by the mainstream culture.
The scarlet stripe represents inherent defiance and dissent against mainstream values and practices.
The plum stripe represents community, unity and fraternity.
The violet stripe represents subversion and rebellion.
The teal stripe represents survival, necessity and persistence.
The jade stripe represents change, revolution and rebirth.

Sucuingender: an umbrella term describing all genders identities that are Subcultural In Nature (SUCUIN).
Etymology
The term Sucuingender is constructed to conform to other “-In Nature” terms (Mingender, Fingender, Ningender, Quingender, Roingender, Agingender, Xingender, Cuingender, Oingender, Keingender, etc.) The Acronym “SUCUIN” is taken from the “S”, first “U”, “C” and the second “U” of “Subcultural”, the “I” from “In” and the “N” from “Nature”. The acronym is combined with the neological suffix “-gender”, indicating genderedness. Coined by Gent (Gender-Jargon), 2022.
(Note: I originally conceived this term about a year ago, but I am just now getting around to making a post about it. I’ve used the tag #sucuin in the past, but never did I formally define the term until now)
Elaboration
A subculture refers to a smaller culture that exists within a larger parent culture, differentiating itself by having belief, interests, values and/or traditions that vary from the larger cultural norm. Subcultures, though distinct from their parent culture, still maintain some of it’s characteristics. A subculture maintains the prevailing ideas of the mainstream to some degree; they are simply deviating from common practice in some way (and to varying extents).
There have been many, many subcultures, with new ones constantly emerging. Some example of subcultures in the U.S. include, but are not limited to: athletes & bodybuilders, kinksters & the BDSM scene, skaters, surfers, cosplayers, nudists, juggalos, otherkin, equestrians, lolita fashion, furry fandom, anime/manga fans, goth, emo, scene and other media-based and/or aesthetically centered alternative scenes, the body modification community, etc.
Sucuingenders are related to one’s participation within a given subculture, and as a result, are exclusive to members of the subculture. In other words, one must participate/affiliate with the subculture in question to identify with it’s sucuingender. If a subculture is derived from a closed culture, the exclusivity of the identity is compounded by this. Participation in and/or identification with the subculture is what distinguishes sucuingenders from aesthetigenders.
Flag
The flag was created at the same time as the term by the coiner. The flag contained seven thin, horizontal stripes. From top to bottom, the colors of the stripes are black, yellow, leaf green, turquoise, violet, crimson and black. The colors have the following meanings:
The top and bottom black stripes represent judgement, discrimination, social othering and the quality of holding an ideology that stands separately from the mainstream culture.
The yellow stripe represents comradery, belonging and identity.
The spring green stripe represents vitality, life and livelihood.
The turquoise stripe represents uniqueness and culture.
The indigo stripe represents non-conformity and variation/deviation from the norm.
The crimson stripe represents personal freedom and autonomy.

Hello, all!
Are you transgender and/or nonbinary, 16 years or older and live in the Unites States of America? If so, you qualify to take the 2022 U.S. Trans Survey (USTS). The 2022 USTS is currently live and will be open until Nov. 21st.
This survey extensively documents demographic information and the lives of transgender and nonbinary individuals on topics such as education, employment, family life, health, housing, prisons and interactions with the police. The purpose of collecting this information is for the sake of research into the lives of trans people, to serve as a benchmark for comparison to the general population and to aid education efforts and advocacy.
Please consider participating in this survey. To date, it is the largest survey of this nature. It takes approximately 30 to 90 minutes to complete. The USTS is available in both English and Spanish, is consistent with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and is compatible with screen reader technology.

is there a man-aligned flag?
Hi anon, thanks for sending me your question! :-)
I did a thorough search, but I wasn't able to find a flag that is specifically and solely "man-aligned". I'm absolutely sure one exists, but I just wasn’t able to find it. If anyone knows of a man-aligned pride flag, send me a message about it and I will add the link to this post.
If you are open to considering synonyms and related labels, this post will link some synonyms and related terminology below. All of the these terms have flags. This section is pretty long, so it’s below the cut.
To provide context, terms like “man-aligned” have fallen in and out of use over the last two-ish decades for a variety of reasons, which resulted in the creation in terms that mean the same thing but use different language. The most notable example of such a case is with the Galactian Alignment System.
If you think you might be interested, you should check out the Galactian Alignment System. This system was created to avoid the use of the terms “man” and “woman” and thus, their abuse in discussion. Here's to coining post for the system of terminology. You may like the term Solarian, or possibly Helian or Phoehelian.
Solarian is used to describe any nonbinary person that is man-aligned, male-aligned and/or masculine-aligned. Helian is a subset of the term that denotes an alignment with manhood. Phoehelian is similar to both terms, but it refers to being simultaneously man-aligned and masculine-aligned. These terms are probably the closest to what you might be looking for.
Other relevant terms include Maloi, Eiri and Miaspec.
Maloi is a term for all  that are connected and/or related to manhood. Eiri is slightly broader, being an umbrella term for all men, man-aligned and/or masculine-aligned individuals. All man-aligned individuals can be considered both Maloi and Eiri, but not all Eiri are Maloi, as it includes men and masculine-aligned individuals that may or may not be man-aligned.
All these terms that describe manhood and adjacent/related/similar experiences can be considered on the Miagender Spectrum, often shortened to Miaspec. The Miagender Spectrum encompasses wergender (A catch all term for binary men/male/boys/men/guys/dudes/etc.) and demiwergender experiences, wergender-aligned, related or adjacent experiences, wergenderflux experiences and any other gender experiences that are similar or hold resemblance to wergenderness. Miaspec basically covers anyone who is “a man, is partly a man or is man-aligned”.
Miaspec individuals may or may not be masculine or masculine-aligned, as the Miagender Spectrum is separate from Mingender. All Helians, Phoehelians and Maloi can be considered Miaspec, but only some Solarians and Eiri are Miaspec. Solarians can include male-aligned and masculine-aligned individuals that may be nonmen/nonman-adjacent, who would not meet the definition of Miaspec. Similarly, Eiri includes masculine-aligned individuals, which may or may not be men/man-aligned, and therefore would not be Miaspec.
Don’t worry about the relationships between terms I have described here too much. This interpretation is not in any way official, authoritative or absolute, it’s just my personal attempt to discuss the similarities and differences between a group of related/overlapping terms. (If you have coined any of the terms in this post and I have accidentally misrepresented them, let me know an d I will edit my post accordingly.)
I hope that helpful in some way! If you have any more questions or need further clarification, please feel free to send me another ask.
