I will admit to wanting to draw this for Sam's face. speaking of faces Dean and Cas' are pretty weird and I'm aware of this, closed eyes are always just kinda weird. also I was gonna color this but idk it just has a certain vibe like this in definitely not just being lazy. but yeah let's pretend the challenge is still ongoing guys 👏

well well well what's this another thing for the @destieldtiyschallenge? why yes it is, imagine that. this one's for you I'm afraid @j-k-t-e because your coffee shop idiots drawing with the horribly horrible bad effort requiring background just looked like fun so oh no I've redrawn it

(here's the original drawing for reference)

as predicted the background was horrible but in a weirdly fun kind of way. I think the hardest part might've been getting the sweaters right actually because my lines are so thick that it's hard to add a bunch of details. I did rearrange some things and totally didn't flip Cas' name tag upside-down for important reasons but yeah bam, coffee shop stuff

(also I know the redraw challenge is supposed to be coming to a close but I have a couple of projects for it in the works so I'm just gonna ignore that it's ending I think enjoy that knowledge (and apologies in advance for anyone that wouldn't want their art redrawn after the deadline sorry I'm slow and maybe took on too many projects they just look so fun and I have no self-control gjfkfifi))

I have zero self-control when it comes to creature!cas in any form so I saw a selkie!cas option for the @deancaspinefest and all other thoughts ceased to exist uh

I tried a mix of two styles for this fic's art by combining my usual thick black outlines with the crayon pen on Flipaclip to create layered colors, as per my author's request. this let me do almost like a children's story book vibe here but I think that's just the name of the pen talking. either way look seal Cas hdhfndi (and my attempt at drawing a boat but ignore that as well as the weirdly tiny credits)

here's Dean rescuing Cas who looks like he just woke up from a nap or something there. Dean's expression looked better before I erased half of it to make room for Cas' head and I'm now unsure what face Dean's really supposed to be making beyond exertion meets determination. I originally had a lighter blue sky here (as well as in the banner) but the author assures me the sky in Scotland only comes in grey, which has the added bonus of making this whole atmosphere a little more tense

it took me forever to get a decent angle for this one it was just weirdly impossible for no reason and I only got this after trashing six other partially complete sketches and it still looks kinda weird but it was unexpectedly impossible trying to get a view where you can see Dean and Cas. also just now realizing that the pipe on the showerhead leads nowhere oops

still very bad at drawing water but an attempt was made though Dean's pose could be better and Cas looks too small to really be able to swim Dean back to shore. let's just ignore...all of that uh. I intentionally made Dean's outfit here symbolic and all that. in the other pics, he's wearing reds and greys but now he's wearing a tan not unlike Cas' trench coat (albeit darker) and his flannel is a mixture of blue and green, representing both the ocean and ofc him and Cas (desitle colors gjkdhdgf) because I'm weak and Dean was pining for so long that he subconsciously starting wearing Cas Colors ,_,

so yay style experimentation and double yay for Dean and Cas being dumb again 🎉

oh look a thingy for the @destieldtiyschallenge. this year's model is called uh idk whatever @beansprean called this silly masterpiece that's kinda old but I thought it was kinda funny and recreated it

I'm awful at drawing couches, people sitting, Cas squinting (idk why it just never looks quite right), cowboy hats, and people sitting on couches, so I naturally recreated a thing with all of these things. I say recreated because I did change some things a little. nothing major but I did use the wrong camera size which meant I had to draw their legs (which was death never again oh no) and idk I just kinda kept losing the spirit of the redraw from there. accidentally and stuff probably

I've secretly been waiting for a chance to draw Dean and Cas in matching pajamas, because what goes better with hotdogs than hamburgers something something America. also I couldn't figure out what 'Wyatt Corp' was and Google wasn't helpful so I did leave that part out (sorry)

made a thingy that was supposed to be released yesterday for Easter and stuff but inexplicably wasn't because laziness ensured I didn't finish it oops (the laziness still shows up in the backgrounds ignore those)

this is the point where I realized I haven't drawn a rabbit actually since I was like five and even then it was made out of a bunch of weird ovals and didn't have any legs to go with the feet. I unfortunately remember it enough to know it looked something like this

yeah. anyway

after tiny destiel rabbits I made one of TFW 2.0 because I don't draw Sam or Jack enough and I also wanted to try more rabbit poses. as you can see Sam is not impressed. also I was gonna give Dean and Cas some patterns but idk they just looked better without them so I skipped it. I was also gonna write 'Easter 2024' or something similar on the wall but idk I don't like making stuff specific to one time so I skipped that too

(originally Jack was gonna have one floppy ear and one erect one while Sam and Dean would both have erect ones and Cas floppy ones, so it'd kinda reflect that Jack is idk half human and half angel, but in the end I based it on their hairstyles instead. also there is no partially floppy ear for rabbits where it bends midway down or anything, it's either just erect or lop-eared (the ones Sam and Cas currently have), nothing else even if they can have one each of those. weird)

another thingy for the @destieldtiyschallenge in which I saw this piece featuring witch!cas and some flavor of familiar!dean (I admittedly can't tell what he's supposed to be uh idk I assumed a wolf because of the color of the...fur(?) but now I'm not sure and that might actually be a coat um) that @shedarart did and thought 'I could make what's clearly supposed to be a somewhat sensual piece or whatever kinda ridiculous if I did it in my style' and well here that is

(here's the original art piece in all it's ghfhdjugfuduu-worthy glory because it seriously does look amazing, though I did have to lighten it a bit to see it properly if I wanted to redraw it)

and here's my silly recreation before and after I remembered my drawing app has a glow effect (I liked both flavors). yeahh my style isn't great for serious pieces but it did make this one ridiculous in a fun way so that's nice. Cas being all serious leaning over the cauldron while Dean does...that is weirdly funny to me idk

having details like this in the background probably doesn't help if I was going for serious but luckily I never am so we're good

I did the first of an unspecified number of art redraws for the @destieldtiyschallenge in which I recreated @blue-eyed-cutiepatootie-art's destiel cowboy piece because yes

rekindled my hatred for drawing horses on this bad boy because horses are awful to draw and the only things stopping me from making uh like a lot more destiel cowboy stuff tbh because what's a cowboy without a horse (actual question). I also discovered I can't draw cowboy hats so maybe it's good that horse thing is holding me back. also this may be the first destiel cowboy piece I've done

after much debating as far as the coloring went I decided to go with my regular colors and then made it super warm or something on the Google photo viewer app. I tried to recreate the affect on that app but can't figure out how I got it pink even five minutes later. I really went back in within minutes and couldn't figure out what I might've done to get it like that in the first place ://

either way I added both versions please don't look at the horses (which I based on the Impala and Cas' Lincoln, similarly to how Dean and Cas' outfits are kinda based on what they wore in That Episode (13.06's Tombstone)) too closely we've already established horses are awful to draw ,_,
