No art today because I'm preparing for the total solar eclipse that will fall directly on my area :3

It's the first time I'll get to experience such an event, much less one that I'll have the equipment to take some extremely nice photos of. I've got a solar filter in the bag, as well as notes for the settings. Also got several solar glasses, and my mom will be coming with me as well. Afterwards I wanna stop and get us both some ice cream or some fancy cafe drinks or something, something fun to end the day with.

Just gotta get up a few hours earlier than I usually do so I have time to get out there.

Slaying Adatok: The Paragon of Shatterpeak, is available now for free!

"Slaying Adatok: The Paragon of Shatterpeak" is an unofficial dragon-slaying Dungeons and Dragons 5e adventure for Level 20 players. Players will venture into 4 unique lairs where they will de-power The Barrier protecting the peak of Shatterpeak Mountain. Once they climb to the mountain's top, they will get to face off with Adatok the Paragon, the Amethyst Greatwyrm.

This adventure includes a two pdfs (one normal and one print-friendly), battlemaps and art for each of the 7 unique locations and custom tokens for every named monster and NPC. As a Dungeon Master you shouldn't have to do any extra legwork to find assets to play your adventure!

Did you know I have a bluesky?

As it says on the tin, stream may be delayed. It's still happening, idc what I have to do to make it happen, but it's happening. It's nearing 3 for me, so I'll announce on bluesky if I'm going forward or not. That's the soc media where I am probably going to do little pops of content, while tumblr will be more for long-form.

For those curious about Wings of Dawn, it's an amazing Dragon Survival Game that is being developed by Purple Hive Studios LTD. The team is prioritizing quality over deadlines, and are being super transparent with everything. The video I end up releasing probably early next week will cover my experiences with it, as well as hopefully an interview with the dev team to give them a chance to clarify things. I'll share here when I release it.

As promised, one of my more developed transgender characters and a blurb about him. Karaam will make appearances in the main comic, and honestly the only reason he's so developed is he was a merchant that ferried around the old main characters through a decent chunk of story before I completely changed things up.

There are others, but they're still very early in development. They include: -Currently Unnamed Assistant Gardener, a Lythian who works with one of the major characters. She's just starting her transition, but thankfully Althia's got a pretty good program to help her along -Currently Unnamed Elven Speaker, who leads one of the Fall Tribes. Very undeveloped, but they use their knowledge to help comfort one of the main characters relax a bit.

There's more, but those are the two I'll be developing a little after I get the minicomic done.

I should also note, if I've made a misstep on something, feel free to (gently) let me know so I can correct. I can't know everything, but I'm certainly trying :3

Two egg holidays come together it seems.

I don't personally celebrate Easter but to those who do, I hope it's a good one. Find many eggs, eat many much good food, and if you do have to deal with bad people, enjoy some fluff happy stuff when you get to your own spaces.

As for Trans Day, I'm not trans myself but if you see this and you are, I hope you know you are seen, you are appreciated, and you are loved. I will always endeavor to provide a safe space for you.

Mildly unrelated but I've been busy with a few larger projects on the side so I haven't been able to do much here, but I want to start to try highlighting characters that will appear more in the future, and I think today I'm going to spend it drawing at least one of my trans characters to also celebrate. :3

I got invited to a minecraft server that isn't open till Wednesday, but I got the seed and I've been able to pick a spot that's relatively lonely but beautiful

I might be just a little excited. So excited I've already planned out the build I want to use for my starter house. I followed a tutorial for this one but I'll probably be more free-handing it on the real thing, following Phelps's video on youtube theorizing what a Cherry Blossom Village would look like. And I'll be streaming it weekly :D

So I'm wanting to get into giving weekly updates on various art projects, and while I'd eventually like to doing little video clips, for now that's got to wait. That said, let's get into this.

INTO THE WASTES WEBCOMIC So this week I sat down to design the three main characters who will feature in the short: Issuldra, Danes and The Captain. Issy was easy since she's already done, just needed to adjust for changing time. I couldn't get to Danes, but I've got a pretty good idea of what he looks like so I can knock him out this week. However, The Captain is proving harder. I'm trying to sort out his colors, markings and tattoos before I progress with the rest of his outfit, but I can't come up with something I 100% love. Thankfully I got a little feedback from @kristintree so I've got some ideas of how to progress.

I am a little behind schedule for the minicomic but this medical stuff needed to get sorted (I am fine and recovering well, just some luxury bone work) so it is what it is. I can take this week getting Danes and The Captain sorted, then resume work with the Script and thumbnailing. If all goes well, by the end of April or into May I should have the first chapter ready to share, updating the pages biweekly should give me more than enough time to get the comic done entirely, so I'm hoping to keep to that.

STREAM RESOURCES So I've been setting up various resources for my twitch streams, including some temporary windows for breaks and wrap-up. Both photos are ones I've taken too. I plan on changing them up later but it's a nice little tide-over.

I've also got a design for my stream bot that I'll be setting up next month, BeeBot! I want to commission someone at some point to animate it so it can buzz around my head, though for now I'll probably just have it hovering nearby.

I got some other things done this week too, it was very productive. However I should note I'm not planning on streaming this week, at least not for the Wednesday scheduled one. However I may try to make it up on Thursday or Friday.

Wild how life comes at you fast.

An hour ago I was about to type up a post bemoaning my lack of info on my geneology. Then I decided to shut up and do something about it. Then I bothered my mom before she went to bed for just a bit. Then I found out I have a half-uncle out there??????

And now I'm trying to find an offline family tree maker so I don't risk alerting [REDACTED] that they have yet another thing to dangle over my head. In the interrim, spreadsheets will have to do for a start with furvitive notes on a document.

So I've been playing a lot of Monster Hunter World lately and twice now I've encountered the same player responding to my SOS Flare on Xeno'Jiiva, with this also being the third time I have encountered a player with this...quirk.

It started with DedxFace, a fellow Dual-Blades main, who showed up to the fight....near-naked. Just running around in their small clothes. Carving up this final boss like it's nothing. I think "huh. they must be seasoned."

Then twice, on two separate days, a longsword-wielder named Annie has responded to my flares where I am fighting this nightmare who can't sit still and let me gnaw on its ankles and turns the entire battlefield into a fiery hellscape, with absolutely nothing on (as best as I can tell at least, it's difficult to tell when I'm running from lazer beams).

So if Annie or DedxFace are out there....thank you for the help and bizarre experience, it at least makes this mess a little less stressful.
