hello!!! here is my 2016 life update

so i got a promotion @ work and i’m going to be starting my new job as soon as they hire someone to replace me in my current role (which could be hard as i’m gr8 haha)

anyway i go back to work next monday so i’m really enjoying these last few days of freedom at my dad’s house on the coast before getting stuck in another long year of work! 

oh also!!!!! i finally saw star wars!!!! and i really liked it!! the three main characters were perfect, i hope there are many more movies with them. i really want to know about finn’s backstory and life during the stormtrooper training. and also about rey’s life alone as a scavenger.. she reminded me of wall-e out there all by herself, it was very endearing. she was so perfect, i loved her!! and bb-8 was so cute, although i find the physics of his movement confusing still. and don’t even get me started on oscar.... like honestly it was all too much for me, he looked incredible!!!!!!!!!! his hair...... his eyes... help.. also. kylo ren... i know i said that ronan from gotg was space joffrey, but i take it back - kylo ren is space joffrey. what a dildo.. speaking of dildos i can’t believe luke skywalker was sulking alone on a cliff for the whole movie!!! anyway i want to see it again some time, it was gr8 fun

also i finally saw the man from uncle and i didn’t like it i fell asleep a bit... maybe i need to watch it again cause i feel like i’m missing out. i liked alicia vikander’s outfits though

i also saw antman a few days ago and luis and sam wilson were definitely the best parts of the whole movie... no matter how hard they try and how charming paul rudd is, antman will never be a cool or interesting superhero. i’m sorry world

lately i’ve been trying to get back into drawing regularly but honestly i feel like i need to reset and revamp my style or something because i’m just not feeling it... i think as well its cause i’ve promised drawing favours to a lot of friends and i actually feel a bit bogged down with giving them what they’ve asked for in a reasonable timeframe when really i’d much rather just draw a page of hammerhead sharks or mushrooms. anyway i’m really trying to stick with it and focus on doing art that makes me happy!!

ALSO drumroll..... i me t a boy who i really like so much, to a levle i didn’t even think possible to be honest... he’s great, i am very happy

i don’t really have any resolutions for 2016 aside from doing daily sketches and lifting heavier so i can improve my squat max to be twice my bodyweight (so 120kg). and also i’d like to make sure i stick with my 6 days a week gym routine and healthy eating.. i ate so much garbage over the xmas break so i feel really lazy and gross and i really need to get back into eating better food again!!! 

ok i think that’s it really... i’m probably going to delete this blog eventually cause i never go on here anymore. deadset working fulltime is such a drain, by the time i get home i just make dinner and then go to bed and i sometimes go a whole week without even turning on my laptop!! so i may as well.. i’m on IG as illustratedkate and also i’ll still keep my art and insp blogs running. but yeah i think this ones time is up!

anyway i hope all of you are well, happy and excited for this year!! i’m so sorry i’ve lost contact with a lot of you but i really do still think about you guys frequently and hope you’re all doing well. so if you want to keep in touch just message me, cause i’ll definitely like to keep up with you.

The first movie I can remember seeing in the theater was “Return of the Jedi.” I can remember seeing Darth Vader’s helmet come off. The shock of that moment. When I found out I was going to be in it, I couldn’t believe it. My family is stoked. My uncle collected all the toys forever. He almost passed out.
