What a difference a day makes. Today’s quadruple conjunction should be of interest for anyone making an amulet or a sigil that is positively charged, one that brings in more of what you want.
It’s also a great day for a party to give an uplift to the energies. I am having a cocktail party as the mood is celebratory and expansive in spite of all the turbulence and negativity going on that potentially can pull you down. Fatigue may have been a serious problem too, flattening you down, but it is time to replenish the store from a higher source- this is where I think of waterfalls that never stop flowing. Just think about that.
Not only is the Sun conjunct Jupiter at 28° of Taurus, which is an annual expansion of life purpose and big ideas, but Venus is conjunct Uranus at 23° Taurus. All this is ruled by Venus so the focus is on values, money, beauty, art and social cohesion and it might bring in a few blessings, it might not, it’s the attitude that matters whether you have money in the bank or not. Just be careful not to overdo whatever you are doing. Excess may indeed lead to the palace of wisdom but we still have to get up the next morning.
Bear in mind that that day after this double conjunction on the 19th May, Mars conjuncts the North Node, so there is no resting on your laurels from the previous day. This is a different kind of focus, sharply pointing to where you need to take action on your goals.
On the 23rd May coming up we have a Sagittarius full Moon, a flower moon, conjunct the fixed star Yed Prior which is connected to astrology. The Moon is at 02° of Sag and the Sun is at 02° of Gemini. The opposition of shallow and deep knowledge. Jupiter is the ruler of Sagittarius is still in Taurus ruled by Venus and there’s a beautiful conjunction of Venus and Jupiter on this day. Two benefics knocking heads together can't be all bad.
Neptune is now in the final stages of Pisces conjunct the Part of Fortune. 29° is the critical degree. It’s a culmination. So take care to asborb the lessons of Pisces, its spiritualisation of the ordinary hold on reality. It would be good to reflect on all the mind melting we’ve been through over the last 12 years that Neptune has sailed through the deep waters of Pisces. It has played with reality like a piece of plasticine, and here is the fullest expression of all that for the next few months, until Neptune moves into Aries in 2026, but it is sextile to the Venus/Jupiter conjunction bringing in the more positive glimmers of understanding. You may get the weirdest insights here. Venus and Jupiter combining could be to do with an influx of money, but it is also about truth, justice and a rooting of values into your life.
But the mood to day- on the 18th- is best represented by something Marcel Proust once said. Or so it is told where quotes are attributed to different people in different versions but float out into the chattosphere and take on a life of their own. Most people remember it as “The Real voyage of discovery is not in seeing new sights, but in seeing with new eyes.”
But the source lines of what he actually said in Volume 5 of ‘Remembrance of Things Past’ is more to do with getting back in touch with the artistry of such people as Elstir (he meant Claude Monet, or Gustave Moreau) and Vinteuil (Debussy).
“The only true voyage of discovery, the only fountain of Eternal Youth, would be not to visit strange lands but to possess other eyes, to behold the universe through the eyes of another, of a hundred others, to behold the hundred universes that each of them beholds…”
Because there is travelling physically and travelling mentally, and if your third eye is open then you can go anywhere you like at any time you want and it can help you reconnect to your artistic goals. What art would you like to create? Even simple things can be a mode of creation, just by doing it differently.
But also, since it is all about perception, there could be a paradigm shift here as the realisations come in thick and fast and the mists of misconceptions and lies gradually evaporates and the truth that perhaps you were reluctant to see before now, emerges clearer than ever and you get your authentic moral compass back.

Mercury goes dierct today April 25th. Chorus of 'Yeahs'!!!
Mercury Retrograde is the one phenomenon most spoken about outside the astrological community. Even non-astrologers have heard of it. But like everything that is commodified and diluted, its negative side is fearmongered and demonised.
There's absolutely nothing demonic about it, except if you are addicted to doomporn about things going wrong. Mercury is a multivalent and ultra vital symbol -quick-minded, mischievous, master of communication and commerce, prince of thieves even, visitor of the underworld, chameleon-like etc and cannot be so easily pinnned down to bad or good. But, he is super fast around the Sun so does this kind of dance.
It occurs 3 times a year and doesn't even actually go backwards, just appears to do so. So if you haven't gotten used to it by now, better start. Today Mercury in Aries goes direct. So check in your chart where Aries is - which house?- and that's the domain of influence where it will manifest this time. Things might start to go forward with greater ease in that area of your life.
While it's best not to overblow the downsides, whether Mercury is retrograde or not, it's always a good thing to check your words before you speak, or before you send an email and before you blurt something out. The beans might spill. But if you do that all the time Mercury retro won't affect you at all, and if you have been born with Mercury retrograde, it's business as usual, you are used to retracting words, revising, editing, taking time to consider your thoughts. It's always beneficial to do that really.
Yet timing is everything so today is the day of its shift to forward motion. I have waited until today to send important letters. Let's hope they have godspeed, and a touch of magic Mercury/Hermes on wings.

'When we all think the same, no one is thinking at all,' said Jordan Maxwell who died in 2022.
Whatever else you think of him, he spent a lifetime researching all that was hidden from us, though some of it in plain view and it is part of the awakening (Uranus) to realise this.
He also said 'People don't ask the right questions'... these are the words of a true philosopher and one with Venus in the sign of Sagittarius which bestows love of higher knowledge.
He was in fact a Capricorn, born 28/12/1940, so quite down to earth in spite of his in depth and original research into way out subjects. Mercury on the Galactic centre, 28° of Sagittarius might have helped make him the mouthpiece of knowledge, getting downloads from 'out there'.
He became quite isolated, paranoid and cranky in his old age and you get the feeling he had been around too long and was tired of suffering fools who either stole his work, or copied what he had said long before they ever got to it without naming him as a source.
Why does he come up for attention now?
Well, his Uranus is experiencing a return at 22° of Taurus so the Jupiter Uranus conjunction (today) is one degree away and in the next few days will stay conjunct at 22° so, had he been alive, he would have experienced his Uranus return. It is opposite Mars in Scorpio so this sparked a lof of original thinking and he wasn’t afraid to plough the depths.
His Jupiter is also in Taurus though at 5° conjunct Saturn, so the Sun is applying to that degree. He was a bit of a heavyweight 'Bull' at manifesting all this knowledge, and tirelessly so, as Taurus rarely ever gives up, and he made his views land well on Earth, forever asking people to wake up to the world they are in and realise what it is really like, not what they have been told it is like.
He is acknowledged as a master researcher into the Occult and manipulations of power that shape our limited view of the world and keep us enslaved, and, that he has influenced many researchers to follow in his footsteps, goes without saying.

Key themes for the Jupiter Uranus conjunction on 20th-21st of April when it peaks. We are already seeing a lot of this. Time to re read my article of last year.

Recorod of a personal experience doing a Water Purification Ceremony at Taman Beji Griya Waterfall in Bali.
I was aware of this place from last year, but had completely forgotten about it. And when my friend suggested we go there, I said ‘Yes. Let’s do it.”
It was what I most needed -to do the full Water Purification Ritual -going deep into a cave where the water showers upon you from high above.
I have done several purifications now at Tirtut Empul, TampakSiring and at the Dasa Vayu Retreat Centre along the slopes of Mount Batukaru. But this one at Taman Beji Griya Waterfall which some call a hidden gem was only opened to the public in 2022. The gardens are kept well and the path zig-zags its way down leading to the gorge preparing you for what’s to come. There was a view of Mount Agung through the palm trees. This volcano is stunning, if a little ethereal in the morning light. It is so like a pyramid and that must be resonant for the whole island as it determines spatial orientation.

Eclipse Notes, April 8th, 2024
This is an update on the previous post on the eclipse.
Personally, I don’t go with all the Biblical prophecies going around about Salem and Ninevah. A lot of these videos may be well intentioned, but just add to the fearporn and as always, best to study it to see. I do not wish to exacerbate that, but that hysteria has been whipped up is not surprising as it is human to seek meaning with dramatic celestial events and full solar eclipses confound and alarm people.
Eclipses also bering awe and wonder so I’d concentrate on that feeling. But the stories can obscure the truth which takes longer study, and a concentrated effort to peel back the layers to unearth its deeper meaning. Remember as Alan Watts said of Zen Buddhist philosophy: the finger pointing to the Moon is not the Moon.
Eclipses are natural astronomical phenomena that happen 4-6 times a year. Perhaps people just have not paid attention to them before? Simply put; the Moon will align in front of the sun blocking its light to the earth for a few minutes. It is a physically observable phenomenon for those in the eclipse path which happens to be the USA. This is great if you are able to see it, and even if there are clouds, you can still feel it. But many parts of the world will not see it, and time differences can be major e.g. I am in Bali at the moment so it will be April 9th before the eclipse is visible in the US as Bali is 14 hours ahead, so why should there be any concern?
The symbolism of a full solar eclipse is another thing, but to pile on meanings that do not belong to it does not help people remain steady and calm. Not all coincidences or names are significant, only some and there is a need to be discerning. There is no need for alarm. We have three more eclipses coming this year and three more total solar eclipses before 2030. April 8th is an opportunity to witness the sun being blacked out by the moon as it aligns with the earth and that must be truly awesome.
But it is true that the higher the visiblity of the eclipse path across countries and cities, the greater the effect. So the USA is under the path and should see some radical changes there not least because it is going through its Pluto return now.
It could affect us all but as the Sun symbolically represents especially those highly visible characters particularly the male leaders. Though people may think otherwise, some of them have been in power far too long, have involvement with corruption, or have not earned their position by a mandate from the people and who also have histories of abuse. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius we had the French Revolution and even Nostradamus predicted loss of heads.
Benjanin Netanyahu (Libra)
Currently he has a North Node return at 15° of Aries, opposite his Neptune conjunct South Node. The Eclipse will still be close to that point in his chart. Masses of people in Tel Aviv are calling for his resignation and it is claimed he has been hurried into hospital awaiting a hernia operation.
King Charles (Scorpio)
He was coronated on May 6th 2023 when there was a Lunar eclipse the day before, perhaps using that eclipse energy to boost his status? The April 8th eclipse trines his Mars at 20° of Sagittarius and opposes his Venus/Neptune at 14-16° of Libra by a few degrees but that also conjuncts the South node at 15° Libra, opposing the North Node.
Joe Biden ( Scorpio)
The eclipse itself for Biden does not have major connections. But it is square to his Jupiter at 25° of Cancer. His Moon in early Taurus is also square to Pluto at the beginning of Aquarius. His Saturn in Gemini is loosely square to the Saturn/Mars conjunction in Pisces.
Emmanuel Macron (Sagittarius)
The eclipse is opposite Macron’s natal Pluto in Libra and will soon have a reverse Node conjunction when the Nodes get to 11° of Aries end of June early July 2024.He is currently not very popular among the French and just ask Senegalese what they think of him.
Rishi Sunak (Taurus)
The eclipse is a few degress from his natal Moon at 23° of Aries with transiting Mercury being at 24° But his chances as an unelected billionaire prime minister in the coming general election this year are slim.
Klaus Schwab (Aries)
Schwab being an Aries has a stellium of planets (Sun/Saturn/Venus/Mercury) in Aries so the current stellium (Sun/Moon/Mercury/Chiron/Venus and the North Node) in Aries is concentrated there, hitting every natal planet and giving him a bumpy ride even though he is out of the news at the moment.
Vladimir Putin ( Libra)
With Russian leader, the North Node opposes his Sun in Libra conjunct the South Node and the eclipse lands at the midpoint opposition to his Saturn and Neptune in Libra. He is already in his 5th term as president of Russia despire having so many enemies.
Donald Trump (Gemini)
The eclipse actually trines his Moon at 21° Sagittarius aand sextiles his Sun/North Node at 22° of Gemini so that does not look so bad for him. Being resilient comes naturally to Geminis but the ecilpse does oppose his Jupiter at 17 of Libra and the fact that Chiron is right there too is significant as his own Chiron is at 14° of Libra opposes conjuncts the South Node and opposes the North Node at 15° of Aries. Chiron could bring vulnerability or healing either way.
Justin Trudeau (Capricorn)
This eclipse is visible in the city where Trudeau was born, Ottowa, and that could signal a stronger effect. It lands on his natal Moon at 17° of Aries and on the North Node at 15 °. This is opposite Uranus at 17° of Libra. He has Chiron in Aries at 9° so has already been through his Chiron return. Whatever you think of him, many inside his own government are actively trying to have him removed and the majority of Canadians cannot forgive him for what he did to the truckers. Neptune will eventually cross his Mars at that ‘endpoint’ degree of 29° of Pisces which should be very interesting as Saturn will also reach that point around his birthday 25th December 2025.
These are all significant placements but you could argue in some cases, not major,so no big deal, but eclipses are tricky and events could go either way – it can also suddenly bring people into power who were unknowns. So we can watch out for that too.
Politics- or Poli-tricks as it should be called, is well known for concealing vital information or being ‘economical with the truth’ and using Spin doctors to make what is bad look good and vice versa. Watch the film ‘Wag the Dog’ (1997) to see exactly how that is done.
Perhaps nothing will happen immediately to any of them or it will be some other leaders that disappear out of sight. They may all still appear to be in position, but what may be happening behind the scenes is another thing altogether, and we are not being told and events later in the year will bring about a shift in their status.
In the immortal words of Johnny Rotten at the very last Sex Pistols gig in the US- he said sneeringly ‘Ever feel like you’ve been cheated?’

Happy Spring Equinox to all who wish to celebrate it - this is the cardinal zero degree of Aries, March 20th, early in the morning, so it imarks the Solar holy day of pagan goddess, Eostre.
Easter itself is calculated as the first Sunday after the full moon and can vary in date between astronomical and ecclesiastical dictates.
This makes today International Astrology day - an important starting point in the year, which would make yoga Sun Salutations more powerful to perform on this day if dedicated to the Sun.
It also marks the moment in the year when sap rises and we get new bursts of energy to do things and make fresh beginnings. We may feel extra stress and must look out for our health.
There could also be a lot of shocking news and revelations as the Equinox is close to the Lunar and Solar eclipses coming up March 25th and April 8th respectively, and, for those with an interest in Qabbalah, Tiphereth on the tree of life, is associated with spring as well.

Here's a simple exercise for you.
Read Donna Farhi's quote about yoga and then substitute the word 'astrology' for 'yoga' and the word 'traditional' for 'Sanskrit' and that pretty much explains how closely parallel these two practices can be.
Does that mean they are the same?
Well, Yes in some ways, but No, in other ways.
I will try to explain as much as is possible in one hour tomorrow at 7pm at Steiner House. But this event can be seen online too.

I will be giving a talk at the Rudolph Steiner House for the Astrological Lodge on Monday 4th March at 7pm. See the website for details.
I will be exploring two topics close to my heart: Astrology and Yoga: I am calling it Salutation to the Stars. But what would such a yoga sequence even look like? Are you an astrologer? Are you a yogi/yogini? If so do you practise both together? How can that be done effectively? This is what is now called Yogastrology.
Have you ever wondered how Astrology overlaps with Yoga in so many interesting ways? Does each practice have the same goals? What are the parallels and what are the differences? How does yoga interact with Ayurveda as well, along with Astrology? Are they completely different, or do they share any core beliefs or practices or are they three sister sciences dancing together? I hope to answer all these questions.
Mostly I want to analyse the charts of some of the central figures emerging out of India: Sri Yukteswar, Swami Vivekananda, Yogananda Paramhamsa, Sri Aurobindo, Krishnamacharya, BKS Iyengar, Patthabi Jois, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, Sir Bhagwan Rajneesh and of course Bikram Choudury.
I want to ask what set these guys apart from others? How did they become yogis? They set out on a mission to bring yoga to the West and we have to wonder, were they successful? Did they complete their intentions? Is there something in their charts that indicates that? Most people would say yes since both yoga and astrology are on the rise What is in their charts that would indicate they would be successful?
So what are the key drivers and aspects of their charts? I will explore these leading players setting their incredible stories in a historical context and picking out key signatures in their charts including asteroids and astrocartography.
Not to forget the role of women in yoga too although this could probably be a whole other talk in its own right to do it justice. There may not be time. But I will take a brief glance at the astrology of some of the key female yogis too:. Blanche de Vries, Indra Devi, Ida Rolf, Tao Porchon-Lynch and Guru Jagat.
There are other key players too in the sidelines such as Alan Bennett, Aleister Crowley, Sr Ramakrishna, Pierre Bernard and Theos Bernard .They were all key influencers on the growth of yoga.
All that in just one hour will certainly be a challenge. The session begins at 7pm so hope to see you there.

February 1st -2nd is Imbolc which is also known as St Brigid’s Day across Ireland. It marks a significant point in the year that is often overlooked. People are rightly excited when they see the first daffodil or crocus as that is a sign we understand- that winter will pass. The use of the cross of St Brigid made of rushes is interesting as it suggests the sun's wheel or cycle. It is not like the crucifix at all, but equilateral, firmly placing us in the cross of spirit and matter. The Brigid cross is placed above doorways and in the rafters to bring on the light, as protection and to ward off evil spirits and protect against lightning.
From Imbolc onwards, days get longer as we move towards spring when the sun reaches 0° of Aries on March 20th so perhaps also a way of having more hope for brighter days. The date on which it is celebrated can vary from year to year as it is supposed to be when the Sun is at 15° of Aquarius. Lughnasa is when the sun is at 15° of Leo and Samhain when the Sun is at 15° of Scorpio. Some sources say this should be 9° of the sign. The chart for Imbolc this year the sun is at 13° of Aquarius (not 15° which comes on Feb 3rd), so there is some calibration to do- it is not exact. These are all in fixed signs and 15° or thereabouts is the zenith of the sun's movement through that sign, so its height, but also its depth begin neither near the beginning of the sign nor the end. This cycle of eight points in the year revolves around the Cardinal and Fixed signs only and excludes the Mutable Signs which are the more nebulous transition phases.

And... as Uranus goes direct in Taurus tomorrow, an electric bus bursts into flames in London, and the 'Dragonfire' long laser beam directed energy weapon is announced, it is worth remembering what Yogananda Paramahamsa said about subtle energy flow in the spine and that our psycho-physical reality is constructed through an electromagnetic field often felt just as 'Prana' in the body.
