Hey everyone! This is an update of sorts. For everyone who reads my stuff on Ao3, I took an unintentional hiatus because life started life-ing. I got a little wrapped up in my college courses and after a three month stint in Tokyo studying abroad, I got accepted to an art school, but unfortunately even with student loans, grants and scholarships, I couldn’t pay for tuition. That resulted in losing my home, my schooling, and a relationship, my spark for creating anything kinda died. And despite wanting to finish my fics and having a million other ideas, I still couldn’t do it. But I’m in a better place now and I plan on re-writing Quiet Nights and trying to publish more. Honestly Korrasami fanfic writers helped keep me going. And I’m really ready to start writing again.
So look out for updates from me in the near future! And as always thank you for supporting me by reading my stuff!

“Well I was gentle because you said yourself that you were delicate, so I tried to give you what you needed.”
A diligent lover.
“Mmhmm. And you did.”
Acknowledgement.
“I’m glad…”
A sad smile.
Silence.
“And what about you?”
Eyes meet.
Blue like ice locking on peridot so bright it makes her long for what they had before she decided to walk away. Before her fear kicked in.
“What about me?”
Silence.
“Did you get what you need?”
The warmth in the peridot flickers before fading completely, but not before guilt flashes through them.
Silence.
“…No.”
Averted eyes.
Weighted air.
One feels shame
The other relief.
“The sex was fun. I had hoped that there would be more time for us to try new things, but I liked what we did. I liked it a lot. But I also liked you a lot. The little sweet nothings you whispered to me when we fucked felt good, unlike when you pulled away and acted like nothing happened and blamed me for everything.”
Silence.
“I don’t mean to sound accusatory and I’m not here to place blame on you…but I would be lying if I said you didn’t break my heart.”

“Why are you unshackling me?” The Southern Water Tribe slave gleaned with suspicion. Her Azure eyes never leaving the bright emerald ones of the woman who would now be her mistress.
“Do you want to stay shackled?” Lady Asami asked incredulously. The slave glowered before lowering her head. An act of defiance. Asami sighed.
“Because I am not yet Queen, I cannot stop my father and his barbaric rule. Instead, I do what I can to make the slaves under my direct jurisdiction comfortable.
“How generous of you.” The slave spat.
Asami regarded the woman. “What is your name?”
When the Southern Water Tribe woman did not answer, Asami sighed and stepped closer until there was scarcely any room left between them. The woman, fierce as she was, trembled as she felt the Lady’s breath on her neck. Suddenly, the slave found herself being forced to look at her mistress as Asami deftly lifted her chin with only a finger.
“I asked you your name.”
“Korra,” the slave breathed. Asami’s eyes flickered at the name, but then smiled alluringly. All of the anger she felt had drifted away and was replaced with a new and unfamiliar feeling. She felt dizzy as Lady Asami’s lips practically ghosted her own.
“There now that wasn’t so hard, was it?”
“Fuck you.” Korra breathed.
“Not with that attitude,” Lady Asami said cheekily as she moved away from Korra. “Oh, and you will refer to me as mistress.”
There was a fire in Korra’s eyes. She looked ready to rip the Lady Asami’s head clean off, but then she stilled herself. She had given her real name and scarcely got a response from the other woman. Korra could not tell if she knew who she was and decided to hold that knowledge close to her, lest she use it to her advantage….

Hi everyone! If you have been following my story Quiet Nights either on tumblr or AO3, I just wanted to give an update that I have not abandoned the story and I am still writing it but Chapter 6 has been intimidating me and I’ve been struggling to write it. I promise that I will have an update soon. Summer semester has ended and I have two weeks of free time before Fall semester starts so I’m hoping to have it out by then. Thank you all who have read and liked and commented on it. It means a lot to me
Xoxo

My birthday was on January 30th and I spent it inside wishing I could go to a bar with my friends. Instead I had a virtual birthday party and decided to write fanfiction about it.
Summary: Asami has never been one to celebrate her birthday. Korra gets wind of this and decides to change that

Updates:
Hey y'all. Spring Semester has begun so writing may begin to slow down a bit. However, I am currently writing chapter 4 to my fic Quiet Nights and starting to draft up a new Angst fic about Asami and Korra during the 3 year gap. I know it's been done a million times, but I'll just add to the pile that is the Book 3/Book 4 gap. I used to write a lot of song fics, and this would definitely qualify as that. I will post the A03 link when I get the first chapter up. Thanks again for liking my fanart, and fanfiction. I haven't felt this excited to write in a long time. Love to you all!

There was nothing else to say. No words left that could convey this anguish that she felt inside. The only thing left to do was to move and that was exactly what she did. She was tired of being polite, constantly having to lie about how much she actually missed the Avatar. Tired of having to push her desire deep down, tucking away any inkling of how badly she wanted to crush herself against Korra and make her feel every raw emotion that she was harboring after being abandoned for three years into neat little compartment deep in her mind.
But Not tonight. Asami wasn't waiting anymore.

Hi friends!
Just wanted to pop in and say thank you for reading my stuff. It feels really validating to see that others like the stuff I create.
Anyhoo the reason I am making this post is to inform you that I am waiting for an invitation to join AO3. Once I get that invite I will be posting my fanfiction there and sharing it here. I did upload chapter 1 to FanFiction.Net, but I kinda hate the wait time before it goes live. I will be keeping all my fanfiction here for now. That means the longer stories will be different posts unless i remember how to use tumblr fully.
I kinda have to figure out how Quiet Nights is going to end, but I really wanted to write about Korra telling Asami about Princess Yue kinda like the way Buddy told stories to Idgie in the movie Fried Green Tomatoes(if you haven’t seen that movie for the love of god do it. It’s one of my favorite films). I feel like Sokka told Korra stories when she was a little girl and the Siege of the Northern Water Tribe and Princess Yue was one of them. I bet he exaggerated big time and Korra told stories the exact same way to Asami. Or in her own Korra way. So that’s kinda where I’m at right now.
Mmm now I wanna go draw legend of Korra/Fried Green Tomatoes crossover fanart.

Quiet Nights Chapter 2
Fandom: Legend of Korra
Pairing: Korrasami
Summary: Korra and Asami find comfort in each other as they sort through their grief.
----
Asami stirred from her sleep a few hours later, feeling disoriented as she sat up. She couldn't remember if she had been dreaming before realizing that Korra still hadn’t come to bed.
Sighing, Asami got up, grabbing her house coat and a gas lantern before leaving the room to look for her girlfriend. Asami was usually good about letting the young Avatar come to her when she was ready, but it was the middle of the night. Korra should have been in bed. She needed as much rest as she could get, especially now during this great period of reconstruction.
The hum of the city had died down and the clouds, still heavy with precipitation, created an almost deafening silence as Asami made her way throughout the dimly lit corridors of Air Temple Island.
‘I hope Korra is okay.’ Asami thought to herself as she wrapped her robe around her body tightly.
After a few minutes of wandering around Air Temple Island, she finally found her girlfriend sitting on the railing of a gazebo in the distance. Asami paused for a moment, wondering if she should disturb her peace before deciding Korra would forgive her if she did and made her way over.
“Korra, Sweetie,” Asami said gently as she approached her girlfriend. “Why are you still awake?”
Korra didn’t acknowledge Asami’s presence at first. She seemed distracted as she stared out at the light emanating from the Spirit Portal.
“I guess I couldn’t sleep.” Korra said finally.
“What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
“Korra-” Asami started “No, I mean, nothing is wrong!” Korra exclaimed. “The whole world seems quiet for the first time in Spirits knows how long!”
This normally would have been something to celebrate. It was something Asami certainly welcomed with open arms, but the non-bender understood that the Avatar was feeling anxious. Asami grimaced and walked next to Korra and grabbed her hand.
“Ever since we got back from kicking Guan’s butt in the Earth Kingdom there’s been no conflict.” Korra continued warily. “I haven’t even heard anything about the Creeping Crystals or the Triple Threats in the city. It just feels weird.”
Asami looked at her girlfriend. She tried to make eye contact with Korra, but even as the Avatar looked in the direction of her love, Asami noticed that she wasn’t there. She still looked so tired.
“Oh, Sweetie.” Asami said gently as she squeezed Korra’s hand. That seemed to ground the Avatar as she sighed and looked back out towards the city.
“I know this isn’t a bad thing, I just…” Korra trailed off for a second as she tried to collect her thoughts. “I don’t know. I guess it just feels too good to be true and I don’t trust it.”
“I know what you mean,” Asami said, sympathizing. “You haven’t had a break since we came back from the Spirit World.”
Korra pulled back from Asami, blushing. “Heh, I guess that means you haven’t either, huh?”
“I guess that’s true,” Asami mused as she leaned on the banister Korra was sitting on. She gazed up at the sky, the thick clouds beginning to dissipate. It was a full moon tonight. “But I’m not the Avatar. I only have to deal with one world leader and you’re still dealing with the very palpable reality of being hurt by seriously evil enemies. It makes sense to me why you feel this way.”
The Avatar sighed and leaned her head back against the pillar of the gazebo. “I just wish I could enjoy the down time, you know?”
Asami stood up and moved closer to Korra until there was hardly any space between them. She gazed at the Avatar. “Don’t beat yourself up, sweetheart,” Asami spoke softly and brought her hand up to the Southern Water Tribe woman’s face. Asami used her thumb to brush a few loose strands of dark brown hair away. Korra nuzzled into her partner’s slender hand. “Other people have done that enough.”
Asami closed the remaining space between them and pressed her lips softly against Korra’s own. The kiss was chaste and reassuring. When they broke apart, Asami pressed her forehead onto Korra’s and held her close, her hand still resting on her girlfriend’s cheek. She inhaled deeply.
Asami hated seeing Korra so distraught. She knew she couldn’t do much except reassure the Avatar, but given her own personal grief spiral earlier in the night, she felt even less equipped to handle that.
Korra noticed that her girlfriend was lost in her own thoughts. She gave the dark-haired woman a half hearted smile. “Hey,” she said before gently tipping Asami’s chin up so they were looking directly at each other. “I love you.” Korra said, as if nothing else mattered in that moment.
“I love you.” Asami said back.
This time Korra closed the gap between them with another lingering kiss. Neither of them wanted to stop. Both Korra and Asami wanted the world to just melt away so that only they remained. Suddenly the light of the full moon beamed down brightly. Korra gave a muffled giggle as she excitedly deepened the kiss. “What is it?” Asami said curiously. Korra noticed how much Asami’s jade eyes glistened in the light and gave her a crooked smile. She couldn't believe that the beautiful woman standing before her was in love with her.
“Did I ever tell you that I’m related to the moon?”
----
Okay. I've been really excited about writing this, but I am also kinda winging it. I am trying to make sure my narration doesn't sound too choppy, but not writing for 10 years is...a long time, lol. I had to read this out loud several times to make sure it sounded okay, but anyway here's chapter 2. Enjoy! PS. Can someone draw fanart of the last scene in this chapter PLEEEASSE?

Quiet Nights Chapter 1
A/N: This is the first Korrasami fanfiction that I have written in nine or 10 years, so my writing skills are rusty. Please be gentle and enjoy! -------
Republic City always felt like a different place during the winter months. Illuminated by the spirit portal, the city came to life as festive music wafted lazily over the low buzzing of voices that came from crowds of families shopping for the Winter Solstice celebrations. Asami Sato could hear the bustle of Republic City all the way from Air Temple Island where she was staying with Korra, Mako and Bolin after Tenzin had very graciously offered to let them stay for the holidays. They all agreed excitedly. It had been a few months since Team Avatar had all been together. Their return to Republic City after the Gaoling crises in the Earth Kingdom had Team Avatar swiftly fall back into their own separate work routines. Korra was always off handling her Avatar duties, Asami worked tirelessly alongside President Moon and Bolin on the new infrastructure plan she and former President Raiko had started on, and poor Mako was being crushed with a metalbending fist and endless loads of paperwork at the police force. They did see each other occasionally, but their time together was so infrequent that it felt like it hardly mattered. However, there was one reprieve. Despite the amount of work each member of Team Avatar had, the world seemed to quiet down at last. Asami took advantage of the momentary peace and felt grateful to finally not have to worry about some diabolical mad person trying to murder her girlfriend. She really did hate that. Dense and heavy clouds hung low in the night sky as snow fell silently, gently dusting the ground. Asami always loved when it snowed in Republic City. The festivities reminded her of her childhood. Memories of playing in the snow with her mother and father when she was a girl flooded the young woman’s mind as she smiled softly, fondly remembering the sound of her mother’s laughter and how warm it made her feel. It was one of the last memories she had of her mother before the Agni Kai Triads attack. Asami felt something warm on her face. Pressing her hand softly to her cheek, she slowly wiped away the tears that had left streaks on her alabaster skin. She didn’t realize that she had begun to cry. Asami knew she was extremely fortunate in a lot of ways. Transitioning from heiress to the sole proprietor and CEO of Future Industries after her father’s-- the late Hiroshi Sato-- fall from grace was no small feat, but she was now one of the wealthiest people in Republic City. Asami felt blessed that she got to use her company’s wealth to help create Republic City’s new infrastructure and give back to the people, but she lost so much in exchange. Asami gazed outside of the octagonal shaped window longingly. She missed her parents so much, but sometimes felt like she didn’t have a right to mourn them. After all, Mako and Bolin had lost their parents the same way Asami had lost her mother. However, unlike Asami, the boys ended up on the streets, homeless and alone. How could she possibly mourn the loss of her mother when she knew that she grew up with a silver spoon in her mouth? Asami sighed heavily and moved over towards the queen size bed. Comparing herself to her friends was never helpful, but she couldn’t help it sometimes. The raven-haired woman took a few deep breaths as she tried desperately to bring herself back from her intrusive thoughts. She suddenly felt extremely grateful for Tenzin and his family. When Asami first found out that her father was making weapons and artillery for the Equalists, they welcomed her, Mako and Bolin to Air Temple Island, essentially adopting the trio into their family. If Korra hadn’t asked Tenzin if they could stay at Air Temple Island back then, Asami might have lost everything. The thought of her being alone in the Sato Estate at the time was enough to send the poor woman over the edge. Tears welled up in her eyes. After years of pushing her grief aside, Asami finally broke down, sobbing. She wanted to feel like the laughing child that existed in her memories, but all she felt was the weight of her own heart, heavy with grief. Once the wave of
emotion subsided, Asami took yet another deep breath before getting under the covers. She hadn’t seen Korra much that day, but she decided not to wait for the Avatar as she laid down to sleep. As much as Asami needed her girlfriend right now, she was kind of glad that she didn’t see her crying. She didn’t want to worry her. ‘She’ll come to bed when she is ready.’ Asami thought as she yawned and closed her eyes, quickly drifting to sleep, exhausted from crying. All she wanted was to feel Korra’s strong arms wrapped around her and couldn’t wait to wake up to feel Korra’s body next to hers.
