Marta. She/Her. Too old for this | Mostly HPHM. Redhair criminals are my weakness | I don't belong to this fandom, but I like to overanalyse things | Some writing, theories, random thoughts
I had an amazing dream yesterday. I dreamt that I was watching the movie starring Hozier in the main role, and it was entirely in Irish. I donāt remember much about the plot, but hereās what I do recall.
Hozier was a prisoner for some reason, and there was a scene with him being transported somewhere: either to his trial or to another prison. Also, there was a moment where he made a gesture of shooting himself in the head, which I guess I had to get from Lady Gaga in the new āJoker: Folie Ć deuxā trailer. Interestingly, I remember being like: āOh, so fan theories were right/wrong!ā. I have no idea what those theories were about, and which one it was in the end, but apparently, there was some hype about the movie.
There also was a female character, who Iām pretty sure sounded like Emma Watson, but I know it wasnāt her. I also know I know who it was, but I canāt recall it for the life of me. Either way, she wasnāt in prison, but she ran some kind of investigation. She was talking to someone at some point, and then she said something that made everything go crazy in a supernatural way. Like, it was something similar to inviting a vampire to enter your house, you know what I mean? Except the āinterrogatedā wasnāt exactly a vampire.
Also, I was watching it on a commercial TV, which is rather odd because nowadays, I watch actual TV only when I visit my parents. And it had subtitles, which is also odd because most movies on Polish commercial TV have a voice speaker. And on top, the subtitles were screwed up because some were in English and some inā¦ Dutch, I think? I know letters and numbers being weird can be used in lucid dreaming, but I never trained to do it, and in this particular context, it weirdly made sense that it was something they screwed up.
Oh, and I absolutely donāt remember what the movie was called, but my friend and I decided it should be āUnforgottenā because 1) itās quite on brand with Hozierās recent naming pattern, 2) it has criminal-ish vibes, 3) itās ironic, considering how I donāt actually remember most things about the movie.
Got any Jae Kim headcannons you love/wanna share? I love him sm
One headcanon about Jea that I āloveā ā and genuinely think it mightāve been intended to be true ā is that his dad died when Jae was younger, possibly before he got to Hogwarts. Jae mentions his dad a couple of times in side quests, and it seems like theyāre close. Yet he always talks about him in the past tense. It could also explain nicely why Jaeās family apparently struggles financially ā he said during one of the History of Magic classes that he sends his mum all the money he makes.
Speaking of his family, I like to think that he has younger siblings. I usually imagine a younger brother. And Jae is absolutely great with kids in general. He also loves dogs, though that one is confirmed in canon.
Also, my Jae is actually pretty tall and lanky. I know itās a rather unpopular opinion and many people accepted that heās a short king. But I just find tall Jae more amusing. For example, during one of DADA classes with Rakepick, he says something like: āMaybe she wonāt see if I get really lowā ā which is not a great idea, to begin with. But imagine a fairly tall guy trying to slouch at his desk and therefore just failing miserably to be āunnoticeableā, even more than if he was short. As for being lanky, I imagine Jae loses quite a lot of weight due to stress related to his family and, again, their financial situation.
Another thing is something I talked about when Jaeās adult model was released. I imagine that once Jaeās financial situation gets a bit more stable, he doesnāt get wasteful, but he likes to buy himself something really nice from time to time. And I think that one of those nice things would be a leather jacket.
Finally, I love the idea that Jae becomes an Auror after Hogwarts. Heās so intelligent and quite talented, too. Hell, even Rakepick praised him once. So, I think that if he was directed properly, he could achieve a lot. And being an Auror could lead to some fun situations, considering his past experience with more illegal activities.
"I never met the boy," Patricia Rakepick lied about Jacob Ellis while talking to his sister, Helena.
I know everyone says itās best to just stick to āsaidā as a dialogue tag bc it disappears and thatās true and I mostly do but I want to take a moment for my all-time favorite dialogue tag, ālied.ā Absolutely nothing hits like āāIām here to help,ā he lied.ā NOTHING.
