my goodness where do i even begin? well as the header says first off happy shigesato day to all of you shigesato shippers and especially my two favorites characters from the entire series ! today especially is all about them and really, it’s what they deserve in my eyes. 

this ship has done nothing more but helped me through the best and worst times of my life. it’s my absolute comfort ship and coping mechanism. and without a doubt there’s not a second they don’t make me smile and fill my heart with absolute happiness. 

their moments, their happiness, their support to each other and their literal overall dynamic is something to live for and i absolutely hope i find a kind of love like theirs someday. 

maybe i didn’t ship them from the very first moment but the moment i came to terms of shipping them and making them my otp it was definitely the best thing that ever happened to me. i sound so fucking corny for saying such for something fictional but, whatever lmao. 

being a kid really i loved their dynamic from the absolute start. and they both were immediately my biggest comfort characters. they have brought so much light and joy into my life, i don’t think anyone has ever done that for me ever but them. 

they mean everything and more to me a day to celebrate is truly the best. thank you ash and gary for all the wonderful memories and happiness you’ve given me as a child.

With reliving short childhood memories of he and his husband, Gary makes it a goal to get a child from the camp to like him, and to be better at bonding with children.

Gary reminiscing how he fell in love with Ash, recalling how he fell in love so young. 

Distance Means Nothing, When It’s Love

Gary stays at Delia’s house missing his husband and feeling lonely without him, in a process he is offered to be a gym leader for a new gym being built in Pallet. Receiving a postcard from Ash, Gary seeks advice and motivation from him. 

Mother Knows Best

Doing her usual housework, Delia gets a surprise visit from Gary. Catching up and hanging out, Delia hints emotions she suspects about her son, noticing mutual feelings from Gary.

To Get Along With An Umbreon 

Dating can seem difficult at first, but for Ash dating isn’t the difficulty of his relationship with his boyfriend. It happens to be, being likable to his boyfriend’s Umbreon.

Chaperones, Chaperoning!

With their kids going on a camp resort, single dad’s Ash and Gary meet as they volunteer to chaperone for the camp. seeing it as opportunities to bond and get close to their distant children they see difficulties and drive one another insane sharing a tent. but chaperoning might not be so bad when giving each other advice. 

They Are Back! 

Returning home for a get together, Ash and Gary meet up with old friends! bringing along their teenage son with them who seems to be uninterested in whatever has to do with his dads. with get together and meeting old friends comes along with teens meeting other teens.

I love these two so much <3 I've been binging so much of the old pokemon anime and the moonlight scene they have in episode 265 of the eng dub really killed me, and the jp dub version of it ended me even further. I was so consumed by these two I just had to draw them.
