Why Niggas Get High: An Excerpt from "From Niggas to Gods"

You are actually trying to achieve a spiritual state of mind when you’re drinking alcohol or puffing on a blunt… Spirituality is a HIGH state of mind and a HIGH state of being, that’s why it feels so good when you’re on these drugs. You’re trying to get back to the HIGH state of mind that we sustained and maintained when we were GODS and GODDESSES before our fall.

But there’s one thing. Don’t think that this justifies you getting F’d up over time. I don’t want to hear about you saying,

“Yo man, I gotta toast up this blunt so I can mentally hangout with the ancient ancestral Gods and Goddesses out by the Pyramids, so that we can exchange intellectual concepts on the mathematical dimensions of inner space.”

You must understand that when we ARTIFICIALLY attempt to induce this high spiritual frame of mind, it does HARM to our NATURAL physical, spiritual, and mental systems. Our body takes devastating injuries due to these artificial stimulants. And these products are made to trigger a chemical reaction in our brains, but it’s artificial because its stimulated from an artificial influence. That’s why we feel so badly when we come down from an artificial high. ITS NOT NATURAL, so it doesn’t have a natural effect on the body, but on the other hand, these different states of high spiritual states of mind and states of being can be achieved naturally. We can trigger these same chemical reactions to an even higher degree naturally.

This is the high frame of consciousness that we maintained on the constant basis when we were more divine and more spiritual before our fall. This natural state of high had a positive effect on our being instead of the negative effect brought on by these artificial stimulants. Our ancestors achieved this constant high state of mind through excellence, we achieved this through Supreme Knowledge, and Supreme Wisdom, we maintained a constant level of peace and power by being obedient to the Laws of Nature and to the Laws of the Universe.
