Hiiii can i request a hcs for akaashi, iwa and oikawa where they secretly have a crush on their childhoodfriend!reader for so long and they panic when the reader got asked out by someone that they can't stand? I hope this makes sense👉🏼👈🏼🥺 ty so much in advance i really love the way you describe things in your writing💓💓💓💓
longtime crush + childhood friend!reader being asked out by another hcs with akaashi, iwaizumi, and oikawa
genre(s): angst oops
warning(s): nope!
a/n: hey so you didn’t specify how you wanted it to end so i just left that open-ended ?? hopefully it meets your expectations haha :D also i may have gone a little ham with akaashi’s im sor ry
[akaashi]
akaashi tried to accept the fact that you just might slip out of his grasp–– he really did
it’d always made more sense for him to just go with the flow, letting things happen to him instead of making them occur himself, because he trusted that there was a logical explanation for everything that happened
but the insane, paralysing ice that was spreading through his chest at the moment did not make sense
your text had sent five minutes ago and akaashi felt like he hadn’t breathed since. his brain was going haywire
y/n: soooo maeda asked me out today
he started typing out his response for the third time, paused, deleted, started typing again... paused, deleted. was there any way to make “say no and go out with me instead” sound less selfish? less… demanding?
trying to retain even the smallest bit of logic, every possible outcome to his text played vividly through his brain
option a: studying for math tests separately. no more after-practice snacks at the 7/11 near school. he starts mornings a bit later now that he can’t stop by your house first. you tell kinda funny lame jokes to maeda instead. bokuto slings one arm around akaashi’s shoulder and ignores how the other just hangs awkwardly now. your teacher stops calling your mom to complain about how much you talk in class–– she complains about your falling japanese literature grades. no more “good luck akaashi”s before every game. you avert your eyes in the hallways. he misses you every day.
option b: a kiss for every problem you both get right. holding hands as you stroll into the 7/11 near school. he starts mornings even earlier by having breakfast at your house. maeda watches him with envy from afar. bokuto third wheels behind you. your teacher starts calling your mom to complain about akaashi. you wear his jersey and kiss him before saying “good luck akaashi” at every game. you wink in the hallways. you love him back.
the wave of jealousy that had washed over him whispered in his ear that not telling you to say no wasn’t an option–– in fact, seeing you with anyone else but him wasn’t up for discussion
with your conversation a blur through his panicked eyes, his fingers made the decision for him
keiji: you should say no and go out with me instead
if akaashi had been as collected as he typically was, he would have seen that in the time he spent weighing his options, you’d sent a second and third text
y/n: i said no btw
y/n: i like someone else haha
[iwaizumi]
iwaizumi had never been the type to wear his heart on his sleeve–– he preferred his affection to hint at itself through his words and actions, no matter how ambiguous they were
still, the creeping suspicion that all of his affection had been lost in translation burrowed itself in his head when he walked into the cafeteria during lunch and saw you laughing beside another seijoh third year–– some guy he remembered to have heckled oikawa at a game before
discreetly, he walked past your table from behind, trying to gain an idea of what the guy could’ve possibly been saying to make you beam like that
“.... bowling on friday maybe? are you into that?”
iwaizumi blinked as he passed. were you being asked out?
suddenly the only thing he could hear was his own blood pounding against his eardrums— only broken through by his own voice telling him to keep walking, keep walking, keep walking
he felt completely lost. was it too late to start laughing at your jokes instead of merely smirking and rolling his eyes? was it too late to text “sweet dreams y/n” instead of “go to bed it’s late”? was it too late to start greeting you by wrapping you in his arms instead of ruffling your hair? but he’d been doing that since you were both children…
“hajime!” you called out once lunch ended, bouncing over to his side, “you’ll never guess what happened”
“hmm?” he asked, struggling to keep his composure
“i got asked out by yamamoto”
iwaizumi swallowed uncomfortably and crossed his arms over his chest. “oh.”
“you’re not gonna ask if i said yes?”
he stayed silent, unsure if he even wanted to know
your face fell just a little bit. “y’know, hajime, sometimes i wonder if you even care about me.” you’d meant for it to come out playfully, though he could hear that you were upset
the voice in his head spoke up again— say it. say it. say it.
so he did
[oikawa]
oikawa felt like you’d pulled the rug out from underneath him when your note said that you wouldn’t be walking home with him that day because you were going on a date
with his mortal enemy, not to mention
all his life, he’d grown up with you at his side: from the schoolyard swing set where you’d compete to see who could swing the highest to the middle school gym where he took you to junior high prom to class 6 in aoba johsai where he’d often find his eyes gravitating to you every so often
he’d thought you would, like the earth does with the sun, revolve around him forever and, similarly, he’d also thought that he had forever to tell you that he loved you–– that he’d loved you for so long that he’d forgotten at what point his feelings even began. and until today, he’d thought that you loved him too
but now, as his chestnut eyes scanned over the note again just to make sure he wasn’t imagining anything, it finally registered in his brain that if he didn’t make a move now, oikawa tooru was going to lose you
from the table beside him, you watched as he blinked in shock. a curious look flitted over your face. that was not the reaction you’d anticipated
“lol are you surprised that someone actually finds me attractive??” you wrote on another slip of paper, sliding it on top of the original note on oikawa’s desk
you’d expected a reply seconds later, something along the lines of his usual snark, something like “ofc not even shrek found love”
but his reply never came
in fact, oikawa remained silent for the rest of the class, absent-mindedly fiddling with your first note between his fingers as he stared ahead, mind most definitely lost elsewhere, only returning to the present once the bell rang for lunch
“tooru,” you called out after him in the hallway, “what’s wrong?”
“why?” he asked, gesturing to your note in his hand. “why him?”
you furrowed your brows. “what do you mean? he’s nice”
“and me? am i not nice?”
it became a lot clearer to you that, perhaps, what he was really asking was: why not me?
you’d always had an inkling that there was something that tiptoed between the lines of your friendship with oikawa–– something that surfaced as gazes caught red-handed and then locked, as hugs that lasted a beat longer than most, as rare glances into the hidden universe inside his mind
you were just too afraid to jeopardise your oldest friendship for a feeling that might not have even been returned
but as oikawa stood there in front you with his eyes wide with imploration, knuckles white around your note, it suddenly struck you that maybe–– just maybe, not all was as hopeless as it seemed

Cowboy | Jasper Hale x Reader
Prompt: “can u do another Jasper hale angst imagine and maybe there is a little fluff at the end? btw i enjoyed that other angst u did:,)”
Genre: Angst, Fluff
Tumblr media
I didn’t know how it happened, one moment I was walking home from the market, the next I was waking up on the floor of an abandoned barn. Clutching my throat, I cry out into the darkness as a burning sear rips through my neck. Sitting for a few moments, unaware of my surroundings, I try to ease the insatiable burning.
Suddenly, I’m snapping my gaze up to a beautiful woman with blood red eyes who is smirking down at me. She leans down, petting my head in mock pity, “Welcome. I can tell you will be of great use to me.”.
Confused, I look around to see a group of people standing to one side of the barn, looking pitifully at me, a handsome blonde staring dazed at me. As I meet his gaze it seems like the world pauses, allowing us a few minutes to drink up each other’s presence. It’s unexplainable but it seemed like my life before was incomplete and now I’ve finally found the last puzzle piece to pursue happiness.
Standing up, I’m unaware of the woman who was previously crouching next me, glaring hatefully at us. Mumbling to myself I find myself standing in front of the man, his blonde hair flowing down in waves, his blood red eyes less threatening than the woman’s.
He seems to be as entranced as me as he reaches up and brushes my hair out of my eyes, “Well hello there darling.” He whispers with a thick accent.
“Hi.” I answer breathlessly, bringing my hand to cup his. As my hand makes contact with his, I flinch as I am pushed away. Looking up, I see the woman grabbing his neck and bringing him into a heated kiss, one that he instinctively returns. Feeling my heart drop in disappointment, I trudge towards the group of people, one of them patting me on the back.
We look on as they continue to make out, breaking apart a few dreadful moments after, she sends a smirk my way as he looks down in confusion.
What the hell just happened?
“Now let’s get started shall we.” She announces wickedly.
It had been almost a year now and Maria has trained us to become bloodthirsty machines, her personal weapons for her army.
It had been miserable, killing innocent people and watching Maria suck off Jasper’s face all the time. Especially after learning vampires had mates, and he just happened to be mine. Though Maria seemed to always butt in when we had spent more than a few minutes together alone.
Despite this we had grown close and he had given me tips on fighting, although I didn’t really need them since I was a capable fighter, almost as good as him.
I was standing alone in the barn at the moment, gazing into the sky, praying for an escape. It was hard to get to know the other vampires because they would always disappear not long after, and you knew Maria either killed them or sent them into a fight they had no chance at winning. Although she never sent me as I was a useful asset to her coven, even if she hated me for being so close to her “mate”.
I’m brought out of my thoughts as I hear a cough from behind me, turning I see the cowboy himself, shifting nervously.
“Hey Jas... are you okay?” I ask gently, approaching the blonde, resting my small hand on his shoulder. He nods stiffly, grabbing my hand and pulling me outside the barn, into the moonlight. I could tell something was wrong but the sudden skinship made me lose my train of thought.
Giggling, I squeeze his hand. “What’s gotten into you soldier?” I tease, humming happily at his change in behavior. Soon we arrive at a little clearing, a little distance away from the worn down barn. He turns around and brings his hands to my neck, staring down at me. I see a million emotions running through his eyes, his hands shaking a little sensing hesitation.
“Calm down J.” I say, bringing my hand up to squeeze one of his. He sighs resting his forehead against mine for a moment.
“Can I tell you something?” I whisper, enjoying the affectionate state he was in.
He pulls away, nodding at me to continue. I smile warmly, gripping his arms.
“I think I’m in love with you.” It felt like a huge weight was lifted off of my chest as I had finally had the courage to confess after all these months. Although his reaction makes my heart plummet, the weights dropping back down onto my chest, feeling even heavier.
He recoils back as if my touch burned him, he runs his hands down his face in frustration and I could swear there are tears in his eyes. Mumbling something I heard him whisper an apology.
“You don’t have to say it ba-” before I could finish he steps further away, shaking his head.
“Y/N. You need to leave.” He says coldly, looking me dead in the eyes regaining his composure.
“Jasper. Maria is using you-” He cuts me off by speeding towards me, tightly gripping my forearms.
“Y/N. Please you need to leave now, before Maria finds out I didn’t finis-” he pauses when he realizes what he just said as my eyes widen in realization. I push him away with all my strength, backing away.
Tears pool in my eyes as I look at the man I love in horror.
“You were going to kill me?” My voice breaks at the end, as I hug myself suddenly feeling cold.
“Y/N, please wait-” he starts, tone laced with regret.
“Goodbye Jasper.” I whisper void of emotion before I speed off into the night, determined to forget the cowboy who had stolen my heart and crushed it into a million pieces.
I stop in the middle of a forest, gripping my chest as I sob. I knew I would be broken beyond repair for a long time, and a piece of me would always be missing as I kept feeling his cold hands gripping my neck.
I had no idea how long I had been running for, I had gotten a message from an old friend, Carlisle, saying that his family was in danger and he would love it if I could come to help aid in the fight. The trees were all a blur as I ran by, I let out a joyous laugh, one that had been bubbling in my throat for a while.
Not much later I found my golden eyes landing on a group of people and a large house, I could feel the presence other vampires inside.
Good, they have others willing to fight for their cause.
Running straight for Carlisle, I throw my arms around him, feeling him chuckle and kiss the top of my head. Pulling away I turn to Esme and hug her too, mumbling on about how I had missed her.
“Everyone this is Y/N L/N, a nomad from New York. I met her in-” I pull away from Esme, smiling knowingly at Carlisle.
“In 1866. I remember it just like yesterday.”
As I turn to face to greet his family I catch Edward’s eyes and I gasp, “Edward! My child, you’ve grown up!” I tease throwing him a wink. He rolls his eyes in irritation but the smile on his face betrays him.
My happiness is cut short when I hear someone clear their throat quietly from behind me. “Y/N?” I freeze, eyes widening when I realized that I knew exactly who that voice belonged to.
Turning I see him nervously looking at me, cutely fiddling with his fingers. Over the years I had learned to understand where he was coming from, realizing it wasn't necessarily his fault because Maria had her claws sunk deep in the cowboy.
Although it took a long time, I had managed to forgive him.
“I’m sorry, for everything-” He begins, walking towards me. I smile a little, realizing just how much I missed him. He looked the same except his eyes were golden like mine.
When he realized he didn’t feel any anger radiating off of me, he looked up confused and saw me smiling.
Before he could continue, I speed up to him and wrap my arms around him, “You big stupid idiot.” I whisper as he laughs, hugging me tightly. We take a few moments to come to terms that we had finally found each other again.
“I missed you darling.” He mumbled.
I pulled away pecking his lips, “And I missed you too baby.”
“I’ll be better, I promise. It’s you and me now, forever.” He mumbles dreamily, smiling into my neck.
“You know we all have enhanced hearing right?”
“Shut up Emmett they were having a moment!”

Hello~ Can you please write LWJ thinking for some reason that WWX cheated on him and getting angry?? This question was based on your last post btw, lol.
First I’m going to apologize because Itried writing this seriously, but I had no ideas and we already did anothersimilar ask and it was hard… so I kind of made this into a comedy-ish (not really) thing? I’m sorry, I really did try!   .・゚゚・(/ω\)・゚゚・. And also sorry for taking so long!
It’s set in modern world.
Lan Wangji was having a nice day. He wasstudying for his exams and thinking about his boyfriend when he overheard fewstudents talking.
“Lan Wangji is so cold and stiff, no wonderWei Wuxian is cheating on him.”
“I can’t believe he would date him in thefirst place!”
“Well, he is hot.”
“True, but with whom is he cheating?”
“Wen Ning, I saw them yesterday. Wei Wuxianwas hugging him when he exited Wen Ning’s apartment.”
Suddenly the whole library went cold.Students who were talking noticed Lan Wangji heard them and ran away in panic.Lan Wangji shut his book and exited the library.
He trusts his boyfriend, but he can’t staycalm after hearing others talk like that.
Does Wei Ying really not like him? Would hecheat?
He was so agitated that he didn’t noticethe frightened looks other people gave him when he passed them.
“Wei Ying”, he entered Wei Wuxian’sapartment with the key Wei Ying gave him.
There was no one inside.
“Dad!” little Lan Sizhui came from behindhim and hugged his leg.
“A-Yuan, we talked about this. My brother istoo young to be called dad”, Lan Xichen walked towards them with a soft smile.
“Brother?” Lan Wangji was confused with hisbrother’s appearance here.
“Lan Zhan, what are you doing here? Aren’tyou supposed to be in the library?” there was obvious anxiety on Lan Xichen’sface.
“Where is Wei Ying?” he looked at LanSizhui. Wei Wuxian was supposed to take him to the park today so why is LanXichen bringing him here and not Wei Ying?
“He’s busy so he asked me to take A-Yuanto the park.”
“Mum said he needs to see uncle Ning”, LanSizhui muttered while snuggling Lan Wangji’s leg.
“A-Yuan”, Lan Xichen sighed.
Lan Wangji didn’t say anything. He juststormed out of the building and went to Wen Ning’s place.
Lan Xichen could only sigh again.
Lan Wangji knocked on the door fiercely. His heart was beating frantically. If Wei Ying was really cheating, he didn’tknow what he would do. Only thing he knows is that he can’t lose him. The darkpart of his mind was entertaining the possibility that he could lock Wei Yingaway from everyone and be with him forever.
“Lan Zhan?” Wei Wuxian was one that openedthe door.
Lan Wangji looked at his boyfriend. Hishair, tied in a loose tail, was all messed up and his clothes were allwrinkled.
He froze. Lan Wangji could feel his heartstop for a moment.
“Wei Ying”, he muttered.
“What’s wrong, Lan Zhan? You look pale”, WeiWuxian took a step closer and was surprised when Lan Wangji took a step back. “LanZhan?”
There was an awkward silence.
“Wei Ying, are you…” he couldn’t finish hisquestion.
“Am I what? You should come in, Lan Zhan.”
He is asking him in? Does he want to showhim how he likes Wen Ning now?
Lan Wangji acted on the impulse and grabbedWei Ying’s wrist. He was about to start dragging him towards their apartmentwhen Wen Ning interrupted them.
“Young master Wei”, he called steppinginside the corridor.
He was holding a little puppy inside hisarms.
All of Lan Wangji’s anger suddenly turnedinto a confusion.
“No, Wen Ning! Why are you bringing thatmonster with you? Keep it away!” Wei Wuxian hid himself behind Lan Wangji, gripping the other’s arm tightly.
“But you asked me to…” Wen Ning was stuttering.
“What is going on?” Lan Wangji finallyasked.
“I’m helping young master Wei with his fearof dogs”, Wen Ning clarified lifting the little puppy up as to show it. “But heonly runs away and jumps on my furniture. Once he climbed all the way to thetop shelf.”
“…” Lan Wangji was still confused, but thatexplains why Wei Ying was looking so messy. He could imagine Wei Ying fanaticallyrunning all around the house. It was hard not to chuckle, but he is good atkeeping his composure.
“You see, Lan Zhan, Jin Ling was really meanto me the other day. He is just a little child, but he is already so mean likehis father. He said he loves Fairy more than me and he will not see me until Iaccept Fairy. I need to get over my fear or I will never see my nephew again!”Wei Ying was hugging his boyfriend seeking comfort.
Lan Wangji felt rejuvenated. Wei Ying stillloves him.
“I’ll help”, Lan Wangji comforted him and affectionatelypatted his head.
“Really? But you’ve been so busy these days.”
“Doesn’t matter.”
“I love you, Lan Zhan!” Wei Ying threwhimself deeper in Lan Wangji’s embrace.
“Me too”, Lan Wangji embraced him tighterand smiled slightly.
Wen Ning was left to gape like a fish andwait for them to be over with it.
