Doraemon Vol. 20 from The Complete Works of Fujiko F. Fujio

Here we are, the last volume in this series! It essentially contains miscellaneous Doraemon stories that weren't included in the other volumes. The original publication dates for these span a range of 1974–1984, but most of them were published in 1974–1976. They generally debuted in magazines that only ran a handful of Doraemon stories.

Among them is a 1974 spin-off series featuring Dorami taking care of Nobita's identical-looking distant relative, Nobitaro, first published in the magazine Shogakukan BOOK (later called Shogakusei BOOK). Most of the stories in this series were later included in Doraemon compilation books, with Nobitaro rewritten to be Nobita and some of the supporting characters redrawn as the regular Doraemon cast. The Complete Works collection includes both the original and redrawn versions of these stories.

Another little-known set of materials reprinted in this volume were made for a recurring special feature published in Shogaku Yonensei (the Shogakukan educational magazine for fourth graders) between 1975–1976. Called "ドラとバケルともうひとつ" ("Doraemon, Bakeru, and One Other Thing"), it consisted of content featuring characters from Doraemon and Bakeru-kun, such as short stories from both series (including the crossover "What am I for Momotarō?", collected in volume 5 of the Complete Works series) and activities for the reader, as well as some original manga unrelated to either work. "ドラえもん大事典" ("The Doraemon Encyclopedia"), a short explainer of how Doraemon's body functions, his backstory, and life in the 22nd Century, was first published as part of this special feature.

Some other entries in this volume that I consider noteworthy (based on my personal experience and biases):

"のび太の恐竜" ("Nobita's Dinosaur", 1975): Nobita digs up a plesiosaur egg that he revives using Doraemon's Time Cloth. This is the original, short version of this story, which would later be expanded into the first of the Doraemon Long Stories series as well as the first Doraemon movie.

"ゆうれい城へ引っこし" ("Moving to a Haunted Castle", 1976): Doraemon learns that castles are being sold in Germany for affordable prices and suggests to Nobita's family that they can buy one. However, the castle they end up viewing is rumored to be haunted.

"ラジコン大海戦" ("Remote-controlled Naval Battle", 1976): To teach Suneo a lesson, Nobita and Doraemon shrink themselves and hijack his remote-controlled ship. Suneo rings his older cousin (who made the ship) for help, and his cousin decides that the solution is to literally torpedo the ship with Nobita and Doraemon on it...

"ドラえもん誕生" ("The Birth of Doraemon", 1978): A fictionalized retelling of how Fujiko F. Fujio came up with the idea for Doraemon. This story later partly inspired the 1995 short film 2112: The Birth of Doraemon, though the main bulk of that film focused on Doraemon's in-universe origins.

"ドラえもんとドラミちゃん" ("Doraemon and Dorami", 1979): Doraemon and Dorami both try to help Nobita get time alone with Shizuka, but end up getting in each other's way. By original publication order, this story marked the first appearance of Dekisugi.

"ドンジャラ村のホイ" ("Hoi of Donjara Village", 1984): Nobita and Doraemon help a village of Lilliputians find a new home.

At long last, I've read every regular-length story from the Doraemon manga. That means that you are finally free from my tiresome posting of Doraemon content, right? Haha, no. I still need to (re)read the Doraemon Long Stories, for one...

Gian and Suneo often bully Nobita, but are also shown as Nobita's friends in certain episodes, and especially in the movies. Nobita's closest friend and love interest is Shizuka Minamoto, who eventually becomes his wife in the future. Doraemon's gadgets help Nobita overcome the troubles, and they end up developing a relationship with each other. Doraemon has a four-dimensional pouch in which he stores unexpected gadgets he uses to aid Nobita. Most stories of Doraemon revolve the young Nobita Nobi, who receives poor grades and is frequently bullied by his two classmates, Takeshi Goda (nicknamed "Gian") and Suneo Honekawa (Gian's sidekick). At present, Nobita is a man who always fails in class, and whose company goes bankrupt, causing his family and sons to face financial difficulties. The Doraemon character has been viewed as a Japanese cultural icon, and was appointed as the first "anime ambassador" in 2008 by the country's Foreign Ministry.ĭoraemon, a cat robot from the 22nd century, is sent to take care of Nobita Nobi by Sewashi Nobi, Nobita's future grandson, so that his descendants can get a better life. Doraemon is also one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time, of which the animated film series has the highest number of admissions in Japan. 証券会社のサイト絡みで母のアカウントでログインした時はIEアイコンが分かりやすい位置にあるようにカスタマイズしていたのを今の今まで放置していた事は失敗だった。当時はEdgeがChromiumベースになる前で完成度低かったしサイトでも推奨されていなかった。既にChromeに慣れていたのは幸い。

Win10 PCを起動し母にサインインしてもらい導線をチェック。タスクバーのIEアイコンにポインタを合わせたところで今後はChromeまたはEdgeを使うように指導しかけたが、iPhoneではChromeを使うように指示していたのでPCでも今後はChromeを使うように指示しIEアイコンは消去。

IEサポート終了の件を母に尋ねたら、そのニュースは知っていたものの何を指しているのか分かっていなかった。「ホームページは何使って見てる？」と言い換えても通じず「インターネット見る時何使ってる？」「チケット予約する時に何使ってるかって事？」でようやく話が通じた。

Shunsuke Kikuchi, the original Japanese music composer for the 1979 to 2005 Doraemon anime's BGM as well as the composer behind the beloved Doraemon anime theme song, known as "Doraemon no Uta" has been confirmed to have sadly passed away at the age of 89. :(

Doraemon (ドラえもん?) (Conhecido no Brasil como Doraemon: O Super Gato na versão de 1979, Doraemon: O Gato do Futuro na versão de 2005 e em Portugal como Doraemon: O Gato Cósmico) é um mangá criado por Fujiko F. Fujio que, mais tarde, foi transformado em um anime de sucesso. 「まだある。今でも買える "懐かしの昭和" カタログ 玩具編 (初見健一さん。大空出版 2006年)」 という本を読んでいます。本の中で触れていた 懐かしの商品は そのほとんどが わたしのセーシュンそのものです。テキトーに挙げてみました。

・へび玉 または へび花火 (立岩商店)

夏の日の夜、花火で遊んだ後半に なぜか遊んだ へび玉は、ニョロニョロと黒い物体が伸びていくだけの代物で、花火なのかどうかもよくわかりませんでしたけれど、何となく手にしていたやうな気がします。

・タイガー印のゴム風船 (タイガーゴム)

公園の蛇口をギュッと開いて 水風船を作り投げ合った、あのゴム風船が タイガー印だったかどうかは デロリアンに乗らないとどうにもなりませんけれど、よく遊びました。

1945年

・スリンキー (イメージミッション木鏡社)

ピクサー映画 "トイ・ストーリー" に登場していたのは "ドッグな子" でしたけれど、わたしが階段などで 意味もなくスプリングマンさせていたスリンキーは 金属製の輪っかな代物でした。曲げたり絡ませたりさせながら遊んでいました。

・煙幕玉 (井上玩具煙火)

導火線に火を点けると煙の出る玉。花火で遊んだときに 意味もなく遊びました。カラースモークボールともいうさうです。

・チエンリング (ホームラントーイ)

繋げて遊ぶプラスチックのリング。繋げて外してを繰り返し繰り返ししているうちに 大人になりました。

・ドラゴン (太田煙火製造所)

ドラゴンという名の花火は よく遊びました。火を点けるときのドキドキ感がたまりませんでした。

・ポリバルーン (石原ポリケミカル工業)

ピンクの短くて細いストローのやうな物の先に チューブから透明な物質を少しだけ 出してつけて膨らませて遊ぶ風船玩具。べたべたした感じが好きでした。

・野球盤 (エポック社)

あまり遊んだことのない野球盤ゲームは "消える魔球" が嫌いでした。

1960年代

・軍人将棋 (岩崎文具)

子どもの頃から知っているのに 遊んだことのない (遊び方すら知らない) ゲームのひとつです。

・スーパーボール (大屋商店)

外で 高いところから落とすと 大抵行方不明になるスーパーボールは よく遊びました。

・ちえのわ (河田)

箱根の民芸品 "秘密箱" と並んで 運良く解けたものもあれば さうでないものもありました。

・フラワーチェーンオハジキ (ホームラントーイ)

花の形をした とても軽いプラスチック製のカラフルなおはじき。ガラスのおはじきのシュールな感じも好きでしたけれど、このお花なおはじきの ポップな感じは とても魅力的でした。

・メタリックヨーヨー (岩崎文具)

ヨーヨーがド下手なわたしは、いつかの "マクドナルド" で、スプライトが描かれた ヨーヨーを買って貰った覚えがあります。

・ようかいけむり (マルホ)

駄菓子屋さんの テキトーに選んで ビッと引っ張って買う アイドルやアニメーションなどが写ったブロマイドの束などと一緒に売られていました、なぞのけむり玩具です。

・ダイヤブロック (河田)

レゴは ほとんど触ったことすらない わたしですけれど、ダイヤブロックは よく遊びました。

1967年

・魚雷戦ゲーム (エポック社)

あまり遊んだことはありませんでしたけれど、遊んでいるのをよく見かけました。

1970年代

・糸電話 (メーカー不明)

売られている 糸電話は見たことがありませんけれど、よく紙コップと糸で作りました。

・パンチ・ガム (岩崎文具)

わたしは "イテテガム" って呼んでいました、板状のガムを抜くと バチンと金具に指を挟まれる 騙し玩具のひとつです。

・ぴょんぴょんカエル

空気を与えるとビョコっと跳ねるカエルが可愛い玩具。カエルを裏にすると 可哀想なことになります。

・ミニトランプのキーホルダー

なぜかカバンなどに付けていた小さなトランプが入ったキーホルダー。このトランプで遊ぶことはほとんどありませんでした。

・笑い袋 (アイコ)

すこし怖めの声が収録された、すこし重めのマシンが、すこし小さめの巾着に入れられていました。

1973年

・ゲイラカイト (エー・ジー)

凧揚げの凧。わたしは "ゲリラカイト" と呼んでいたやうに思います。

・沈没大作戦 (メガハウス)

わたしは タカトクトイス製の "生き残りゲーム" はよく遊びました。沈没大作戦は 似たタイプのゲームですけれど、すこし異なります。

・モンチッチ (セキグチ)

おさるのモンチッチは "森昌子さんバージョン" があったやうな気がします。

1974年

・ミクロマン (タカラトミー)

顔がすこしこわいお人形。タカラは ダッコちゃんとミクロマン、そしてチョロQの イメージが強いです。

1975年

・黒ひげ危機一発 (タカラトミー)

ブルース・リーの "ドラゴン危機一発" や 現在は使われていない邦題 "007 危機一発" と並んで "危機一髪" ではない "危機一発" な商品です。

・モーラー (増田屋)

カブトエビや ツチノコと同じくらいに有名な ふしぎないきものです。

・こえだちゃんと木のおうち (タカラトミー)

日立の "気になる木" の次くらいに 気になる木なこえだちゃんのおうちは 当時持っていましたけれど、現在は どこかに行ってしまいました。

・ダイヤモンドゲーム (ハナヤマ)

現在発売されています商品の正式名称は "マグネチック キング ダイヤモンド" というさうです。わたしが遊んでいたころのものは 磁石は付いていませんでしたから、盤を揺らしたりすると 駒が すぐに弾け飛んだりしていました。

・スライム (メガハウス)

遊び過ぎてスライムでは無くなったスライムがうちにありました。

1979年

・超合金 ガチャガチャ ドラえもん (バンダイ)

ドラえもんが苦手なわたしでも持っていました、程よい重みがステキだったドラちゃん。消しゴムでできた "ひみつ道具" はガチャガチャのやうなカプセルに入っていました。

1980年

・ルービックキューブ (メガハウス)

6面体の立体パズル。わたしは未だに 二面しか作ることができません。

・ドンジャラ (バンダイ)

キャラクターものが多かった 子ども向けの麻雀ふうゲーム。うちには "ポンジャン" がありました。

1980年代

・ペーパーローリング (ハニー)

たしか "カメレオンアーミー" って呼ばれていたやうな気がする、紙巻き棒玩具です。シュッて紙を飛び出させ、ササっと戻すシンプルな遊びを 日が暮れるまで延々と繰り返していたやうに思います。

A third cat that has been mentioned is Catherine (Nobita and the Galaxy Super-express, 1996 manga). The Doraemon Fukayomi Guide (ドラえもん深読みガイド, 2006) speculates that she is the un-named cat Suneo has taught to do tricks.

Doraemon Vol. 12 from The Complete Works of Fujiko F. Fujio

The stories here were published in 1979–1985. Once again I don't have many general comments to make, so I'll proceed with my selection of iconic stories from this volume (as determined by my personal experience and biases):

"おそるべき正義ロープ" ("The Formidable Justice Rope", 1980): To deal with Nobita's bullies, Doraemon releases the Justice Rope, which automatically wanders around town and punishes wrongdoers by tying them up. However, trouble arises when it turns out that the rope punishes all types of wrongdoing…

"ションボリ、ドラえもん" ("Dejected Doraemon", 1981): Seeing how much Doraemon has been struggling to look after Nobita, Nobita's great-great grandson Sewashi considers sending Dorami to take his place.

"時門で長～～い一日" ("A Looong Day with the Time Gate", 1981): To help Nobita finish his homework and still have enough time to visit Shizuka afterward, Doraemon slows down time with the Time Gate. As usual, Nobita isn't satisfied with just that and borrows the gadget for his own benefit, which causes all kinds of trouble. The most ridiculous of all is that an action TV show that Nobita is watching ends up having to continue airing the plot of subsequent episodes to fill up the extra time, to the point where the lead actor eventually gets hospitalized from overwork, which is absolutely not how a TV series like that would work, but is absolutely hilarious.

"天つき地蔵" ("Sky-tipping Jizō", 1982): To give Nobita a place to hide his failed exam papers, Doraemon brings out a seemingly bottomless waste disposal, but then falls in himself without his pocket. As he tries to find a way back, his exploits parallel the events in a folktale that Nobita happens to be reading.

"ホンワカキャップ" ("Happy Cap", 1983): Nobita envies adults for being able to drink away their sorrows, so Doraemon takes out a bottlecap that can make any beverage intoxicating.

"ジャイアン殺人事件" ("The Gian Murder Case", 1985): To everyone's surprise, the director of a music school seeks out Gian to record his infamously horrendous singing. Suneo suspects that the director intends to use it as an instrument of murder. (It's actually meant to represent the "before" in a "before and after" style commercial for the school.)

2020 振り返り前半　（適当な感想、ライブ、良く聞いた曲、見た映画）

年初めから、なんかのウイルスにかかって寝込む。行こうと思っていたライブにも行けなかった。それから復帰した後はインフルエンザ怖いねなんていいながらライブに行く。

ゴッホ展、至近距離の世界、アーティゾン美術館の開館したての展覧会にいく。

音楽 （2020）

2月

音楽の原画展に行って、原画を買う。生まれて初めての原画。ケンジがシールドのプラグを持って「これってどこに差すんだ」的なことを言っているシーン。

鳥取、広島、岡山を巡る旅行。初めて原爆ドームに行った。一人で来て、手を合わせている人がたくさんいて、とても泣きそうになった。長崎で行った時とはまた違う気持ちになった。厳島神社は改修工事中だった。船に乗って🚢とても気分が良かった。カキフライとハッサクの果汁が入っているという広島コークがうまかった。豊国神社の千畳格で寝っ転がりそうになったと��ろで、notice!の文字が目に入って見てみると横臥禁止と書いてあって、あぶね〜とおもった。天気も良くて、広くてすごく気持ちよかったんだわ〜広島でバス乗ったり、いろんな美術館行ったりして楽しかった。基本的に行動を決めないで現地で考えるので、そるようになり毎回とても楽しい。知らない電車に乗るのが好きです。

この頃からもうライブには行けなくなって、家でクレープ作ったり、Wiiやったりしてた。ブルーピリオドを読む。ミッシェルのドロップを聴くと松田龍平になって階段を駆け上がってしまう。

歯医者に通う。虫歯だったけか？親知らずを抜いたらしい。奥歯が痛くて言ったら、まだ生えてきていない親知らずが原因だった。新しいレントゲンがすごすぎて、もう宇宙だった。

友達と会う約束をしていたけど、例のものが流行り出して、止めることにした。

Alex GのLPが届いて嬉しかった。なかなか音楽を聴くきにならなかったらしい（日記より）でもナンバーガールの無観客ライブを見て「あ〜〜」と思った。これが欲しいこれが欲しいと思った。

カミュのペスト、獅子文六の可否道を読んだ。天気の良い電車で座って本を読むのが最高よね〜〜多分三月はもう数冊本を読んだ気がする。

そうだ私は就活をしないといけないんだと思って苦しむ。やりたくないことがここ数年でかなり明確になってしまったので、自分に言い聞かせるのがかなり大変だった。

縄跳びを始める。小松菜を育て始める。初めての間引き、虫との戦い。あの青い綺麗な虫はどんな成虫になるのか気になっていたけど、結局検索できずに終わる。その後蝶が家に度々来ていたので「お前があの時の虫か？」と思って過ごす。Boseのワイヤレスヘッドホンを買った。web説明会を見る。突然嫌気がさしてほとんどぼーっとしたり、絵を描いたりしてやり過ごす。今思うと時間の無駄だった。4月はほんとずっと家にいた。店も閉まってしまったから、ノートを買うのも通販。オンライン授業が始まる。 5月上旬のライブとかも中止になって、生きる志を失う。

散歩で友達と会う。面接を受ける。うわぁこれだ…と思って嫌になる。クチナシの盆栽の蕾がとても大きくなる。夕顔の種を蒔く。散歩によく出かける。アイスをコンビニで買う。フランシスベーコンのインタビューの本を読んだ。

熱心に朝ドラを見る。

神田伯山のラジオをクラウドで聴きまくる。フィルムカメラが壊れて、近所のカメラ家に修理に持っていくが、部品がないということでできず。諦めきれずにメーカーに問い合わせたら、お金払ったら交換してくれるというので交換する。全く同じものが来てとても嬉しかった。盆栽が満開。すごい、花が咲く時とはこういうものなのかと知る。あっという間に満開になる。

映画の宗方姉妹での節子の言葉がとても良かった。のでのせておく。
