im so tired of being a sleepy boy

Jason goes blind but he can see the electricity in people's bodies and feel their bodies through the air. He acts easy like he's not blind and it takes a while before anyone can even tell because he's never been one for eye contact anyway. Courtesy of autism and being raised by wolves. He doesn't need a white stick to get around. He can sense obstacles and people through shifts in the air, feel the change in pavement to sidewalk, the open space from the descent of stairs, smell his way to bakeries he likes and art stores with rich paints.

Nico goes blind but he can sense the pulse of someone's soul, the presence of their bones. He uses a white stick to navigate around obstacles. Souls are history, life lived, dreams and goals, worries and fears, active moments. He skims the outer layer to seek out locations he needs. He summons ghosts unseen by mortals to help guide him along in new places. They tell him when to turn down the street, where the doors are, how to get to counters. They warn him if someone shifty has tried to trick him. It's easy enough to skin their souls and check.

Percy goes blind but he can feel the blood in people's veins. It makes him an expert at walking through crowds. All he has to do is step into the empty spaces between the sensations of circulating liquid. He still needs a white stick to get around obstacles, but his familiarity with New York means it's not as hard. He can sense monsters when they approach. Their blood is thicker, denser, more putrid to his gut. He doesn't need Riptide as much. With the sense of blood and liquid holding in his chest, all he has to do is pull and feel them burst. Occasionally, he tell when people are trying to screw him over. Their blood quickens with the risk. Walking through nature isn't as difficult either. Although he still needs his cane for rocks and twigs, there is water in everything that lives so he steps around trees and plants with relative ease.

i've been thinking since yesterday about the London ritual because it's a friday and i actually have an old friend i could stay at so the accomodations would be taken cared of.. and i wouldn't need a lot of off days for it because i could travel the day before or something and then came back during the weekend 🤔and i actually have money spared i could use for travel and all so like.. there shouldn't be much stopping me really, but i'd be at work when the ticket sale is happening and i'm just a nervous creature so i don't know T________T i'm subbed for the presale code so there is that but.. i don't know i mean i probably could just pass on the ticket if i end up not being able to go for any reason if i'd be able to get a ticket at all of course.. ah man.. essentially, i think the whole gaylor phenomenon comes from a deep desire to queer the american dream. taylor represents the quintessential american who’s allowed to access the american dream: white, cis, straight, attractive, wealthy, popular, able bodied, etc. the only thing that doesn’t fall into the standard qualifications for the dream is her womanhood which is why she relies so heavily on boring neolib white feminism,,,,, a man can shout when a women must only whisper, that kinda shit

for gaylors though, this is insufficient. their major barrier of access to the american dream is typically their queerness; being a - usually - chronically online person means that they need to see a queerness that is not only socially accepted, but celebrated. so, they imagine this distant far off land where taylor comes out one day and it irrevocably shakes the foundation of the mainstream because she’s still the american dream except now she’s queer and that implies so many things for them

i’m not articulating this the best because tummy hurts and tired, but in essence i think that there’s an assumption that an out, queer taylor swift would be a roundabout way of allowing the dominant acceptable americanness metabolize queerness in a way that normalizes it entirely.

i saw a post from one of them once that was like “if taylor really is straight, doesn’t that make everything she does boring and no different from the million other straight stories we’ve heard before?” and like…. you are so close to the point, my love. A: she’s a human person and not a doll for you to dress up, so yeah, it would totally make things boring and unimaginative. but the bigger point is B: you’ve mistaken the fact that she’s always relied on ambiguity about muses as her giving secret hints of some illicit queer romance

[just venting a bit into the void you understand you understand 😌] Lately I've been feeling very caught between "I have a lot of thoughts on Sparrow and Normal and all that with the ending and teen talk and feel like I need to get them out and voice them for my own piece of mind and resolution" and "I am lacking the strength and energy to actually sit down and write it all out and kind of really just want to fully move on to other things (AUs, fics, anything else)" but my brain can't seem to commit to either and that's quite frustrating cause it's just left me very restless. *Sigh*. Idk! Just needed to complain about that a bit ig, it's silly but this is what has been ailing me as of late.

#Then there's also a part of me that's like “does anyone even care at this point? haven't I already talked about them too much?” #but I have seen many a take that irk me... #and perhaps at the center of it all nagging at me is that persistent conflation of love and pride #Less about that in Normal's mind so much as in Will's and the fandom's 🤔 #Also that reoccurring issue of the fandom going ''Normal thinks this therefore it is The Truth'' though I believe I've discussed this befor #And... Hooks Will could have grabbed onto but didn't...
