Yes, I am obsessively thinking about the fact that the Mythosaur still exists, and the Armorer told Din of the legend of the Mythosaur rising again to herald a new age for Mandalore, and Din had a Mythosaur pendant necklace, and when he was learning to ride a blurrg Kuiil told him that he's a Mandalorian surely he could do it since his ancestors rode the great Mythosaur, and the Mythosaur let itself be known after so many years after Din walked into the waters

Yennaia bits in Ep 3.02
Yen sends a letter to Tissaia to tell her she’s coming home.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yen confirms her and Tissaia’s relationship status to Ciri:
Tumblr media
We can assume Ciri has seen Yennefer bash out letters to Geralt with very little thought of redrafting. But she’s putting effort into her words for Tissaia, and Ciri notices.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then there’s this, frankly startling, conversation between Tissaia and Vilgefortz.
Once again, Aretuza is referred to as Yennefer’s ‘home’.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tissaia tries to pretend like she gives a shit about Kings and stuff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But her face totally gives her away. Despite the political upheaval it could potentially cause, she wants Yennefer to come home.
Tumblr media
And even Vilgefortz knows why.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Explicitly, undenied, Tissaia loves Yennefer.
And then he talks about her making decisions with her heart rather than her head.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And if that wasn’t enough, when Tissaia asks him what he thinks about Yen returning because ‘Gods know you weren’t fond of her’, he proceeds to point out how he and Yennefer are similar in nature and implies that Tissaia has a clear ‘type’.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I mean christ on a cracker. He’s just basically said to her ‘I know you love her. I know she loves you. I know I’m a bit like her only not as good and that’s why you’re with me’. Colour me stunned.
Yen takes Ciri to Vengerberg, but does not refer to it as ‘home’.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We see an extra bit from when Tissaia ‘bought’ Yennefer:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Yen tells Ciri that she was a little shit when she was younger too.

something so unhinged about starting to enjoy a ship pairing mid-release of the show’s final series. like my whole world has shifted and changed forever and yet each day brings me closer to the end. all i have is increasingly intimate scenes to stare at for hours, cast interviews, devouring all fan content, early feelings of grief, 2 episodes left and a dream.

You know the Succession fandom gives a lot of appreciation to actors and writers and costume designers which is AMAZING but there doesn’t seem to be as much appreciation for the unique and significant impact a director has on an episode. The final shot of S3 being Shiv’s face? The framing of the three Roy kids during Ken’s breakdown that looks like a renaissance painting? The framing of Tom and Greg during the ‘deal with the devil convo’? The shot of Ken drowning from underneath where we can see the bubbles? The framing of Caroline when she says “I shouldn’t have had kids” and we get to look right past her face to Shiv clamping down on her hurt? The painfully intimate framing of the ‘I don’t love you’ scene? That shot from Logan’s phone to Roman’s face after he sends the dick pic? Every single one of those was specifically a directorial decision.
All this to say that the picture of the clapboard that the Succession Twitter account tweeted lists Mark Mylod, the director of 3.08 and 3.09, as the director for 4.01, and that continuity is making me insane

Gifs I would like from The Witcher season 3
Listen, I would make them myself if I could, but I cannot so for anybody out there who’s willing:
Parallel of Tissaia calling Yennefer ‘Piglet’ and Yennefer calling Ciri ‘My Ugly One’
Parallel of Tissaia saying ‘Why? Why do you want a baby?’ in 1.05 and then ‘You finally did it. Became a mother’ in 3.03.
Parallel of Tissaia blasting Stregobor away from Yen in 2.03 and Yen blasting the big monster thingie away from Ciri in 3.01 (or blasting Francesca away from Ciri in 3.01)
Parallel of Tissaia saying ‘Please’ in 1.07 and Yen saying ‘Please’ in 3.03
Parallel of Yennefering saying ‘As if I’d trust anyone else with [Ciri]’ in 2.08 and then saying ‘If I could just talk to Tissaia’ in 3.01
The convo Vilgefortz and Tissaia have in 3.02 where all he talks about is how much Yen and Tissaia love each other
The convo Yen and Vilgefortz have in 3.04 where he tells her Tissaia will always protect her
Sabrina (all of her scenes, especially the ones where she’s annoying Yen)
Yennefer’s vehement refusal to leave Tissaia in ep 3.05
All of the times Yen looks at Tissaia’s lips (may need more than one gifset)
Tissaia greeting Yennefer at the Thanedd ball with the air kissing
Yennefer interacting with Tissaia and Vilgefortz at the ball like they’re her parents and she’s slightly embarassed by them
(Also I should say that if I’ve made any posts using shitty screencaps, please feel free to make gif versions of them!!)

the car scene with stewy from 3.02 is on some level even more heartbreaking to me than the confrontation with kendall from 2.01 bc this is the second "betrayal" and stewy is trying so hard to be reserved and it's NOT WORKING he is visibly paler his voice is strained he's being sarcastic throwing insults at kendall but they're all weak and falling flat. he sent over a fucking trojan horse for god's sake he's acting out he's completely devastated but ofc mister Ego Bender is too far gone to notice
Tumblr media
and the thing is stewy's enmeshed in a deal w sandy and sandi who (as later eps strongly imply) he doesn't always side with on a personal level. some part of him still desperately wants to believe in kendall but he can't bc kendall is full of shit and is having a manic episode before his eyes. watching his loser childhood best friend college drinking buddy who used to do coke w him in bathrooms and run his mouth abt waystar and egg him for stupid business advice inexplicably destroy everything they built tg and then just kind of kill his dad on national tv without a word of warning to him... stewy doesn't even recognize kendall anymore he really is on the outside now and he needs a line so bad. sensing a dramatic s4 kenstewy betrayal i fear

Walker 3.02
Last week I said I thought this episode was going to be better than ep 1 and I was right! It is better!
There are still some parts of the writing that I don't like, I really wish they would have fleshed out the kidnapping story more it had a lot of potential and could have been better than what it was, the criminals behind it are still so bland and they're more confusing than threatening like their motivations and way of going about them don't make sense there are so many more efficient ways for them to get what they want of infiltrating the Rangers and destroying them from the inside out. And there are little things like these organization is supposed to be super dangerous and they already showed they have no fear by kidnapping a Ranger on his own property so why did nobody think the family would be targeted, the Walker fam should have been under some sort of protection.
Nonetheless, I did enjoy this more than the premiere and think it was better written even if it had some stumbles. There were elements I really like, and one that I love is that in this episode Cordell is rescued but not really because he and Liam save themselves, and the journalist who was also taken whose name I can't remember. By the time help arrives Liam and the journalist have started to make a run for it and when they get to the building where Cordell was still in, because he stayed behind to deal with biochemical weapons that the criminals had, he is walking out- more like stumbling out but point is they rescued themselves and we got to see some of his military fight training kick in which was really awesome (and hot, what can I say I love fight scenes) I wish we had gotten to see more of it.
But for me, the highlight of the episode was the flashbacks. If you know me, you're probably shocked because usually I hate the flashbacks but in this episode? Absolutely loved them! We got to see some of Cordell's military days but what made it special is that they got none other than COLIN FORD to play a young Cordell Walker!!!!! I could not believe it when I saw his face on my screen, and he's gonna be in next week's ep! I AM SO EXCITED FOR THOSE SCENES!

Given that Jamie doesn't act scared or anxious about Roy at all any more when he yells, like in 3.02 he just kind of talks over him til he makes his point, do you think maybe the show just thinks that Jamie trusts Roy and doesn't see his aggression like that, he knows Roy won't hurt him? Or maybe it's that Roy knows Jamie would hate Roy to act differently, out of sympathy or pity? To be clear I don't disagree w you at all, just trying to work out what the angle of the show might be if they do not address this.
Hmm honestly…I don’t know!! It’s really throwing me because I truly can’t predict the writer’s intentions on this one at all.
I will say, if they’re doing it from a “Jamie just isn’t scared of Roy” angle, I’m not necessarily disagreeing with it, but I also don’t think they’ve done a good enough job at showing us the basis for that assumption. It’s weird because their relationship has sort of progressed into the tentative friendship territory between the end of season 2 and the start of season 3, but most of that happened offscreen and in other ways they seem to not really have progressed at all, especially re: Roy’s aggression. It just feels like a really weird dissonance from what we saw in the Man City Ep and it definitely bugs me that the implications of that episode for both Jamie & Roy have never been brought up again.
If it’s something that’s still coming over the course of this season it will make sense to me!! It’s a layered arc!! But if it’s never addressed again I will definitely be confused…because what IS the angle? Roy maybe doing it in an attempt to act aggressively normal so jamie doesn’t think he’s being pitied doesn’t feel like what’s happening here to me (also roy is smarter than that I think. I just don’t feel, if he was really thinking consciously about his actions, he would get physically aggressive to the point of needing to be held back by half the team as per s3 ep2. Yelling and getting angry sure, but not to that extent) but if that’s what they’re intending I’m going to still need that to be a conversation at some point!!

I caaaan't! The way Tissaia’s eyes go from cold and hard to so soft and loving as Vilgefortz said in 3x02 that she loves Yennefer. And it's like that almost always, I love them!!
And can we please talk about the fact that in a single scene we not only heard that Tissaia loves her, but that yennefer also loves Tissaia!!
Tumblr media
I do love that this scene is absolute definitive confirmation that Tissaia loves Yennefer. (If the whole of season 2 wasn't enough confirmation!!)
I do have a slight gripe that he gets to tell her that Yennefer loves her though. He doesn't know Yennefer. And, unlike Tissaia, Yennefer isn't there to confirm (or not deny) his words.
But I can forgive it since we do get the conversation between him and Yen later on that kind of touches on it, and we also get the 'I need you' from Yen, which some might say was better than 'I love you'.

just had a rina epiphany of sorts. @blues-valentine was talking about the canoe scene and how the way ej phrases it makes it sound like the fireworks are their destination. “maybe we can sit here and paddle away until the fireworks go off.” there are a few layers to this scene. the first I want to talk about is the fact that ej involves the canoe in his metaphor, suggesting that they go towards the fireworks. these fireworks, both metaphorical and literal in this situation, are not where pw are in that moment. also, given that the canoe is in the middle of the barn, they can’t actually move anywhere. they’re stagnant, just like their relationship. they aren’t going backwards, but they aren’t going forward either. of course, the core symbolism of this scene is the fact that we watched fireworks go off for ashlyn, but not for them. the spark that flamed their relationship is gone, if it was ever there in the first place. finally, this would not be my thoughts on this couple if I didn’t bring up rina. in 3.03, as ricky and gina are walking back to their tents for the night, ricky says something fascinating. “it’s the journey, not the destination.” I think these two scenes present an interesting contrast in how ej and gina have interacted and how ricky and gina interacted. ej is fighting for the musical and the documentary to go well so that he can stay in salt lake and stay with gina. however in fighting for their future, fighting to reach the fireworks, he is neglecting her in the present, a problem even more clear in the fact that gina has all but begged for ej to spend time with her at shallow lake like he promised, not only when they arrived to camp and he wasn’t director, but also in 3.02, when he tells gina he is not worried about their relationship as it relates to his directing responsibilities. ricky, in contrast, has literally shown up (ej’s words, not just mine) and stayed around and been supportive of gina the entire summer. she claimed that this was supposed to be a “summer of fun” just like ricky did in that ep, and he has all but ensured that for her; being a good leading man, making her laugh, holding other cast members accountable for how their actions impact gina’s show, listening to her issues and offering support, being at her side for color war the entire time, and even helping her with a promposal to her boyfriend. ricky doesn’t have some ulterior motive, a “destination,” if you will, in mind with gina. he just wants to support her now in every way he can. the journey, important to both him and gina, is what he prioritizes. I’m not trying to come down hard at ej for being a bad boyfriend, because there’s nuance to that statement. he is doing good things, but at the end of the day, not what gina asked of him and what he promised her. he’s not being a good boyfriend for gina.

I've always thought the prophecy was about both striking a balance. Merlin was meant to keep Morgana in check and Morgana was meant to keep Merlin in check.
Me too. Even Alice Troughton in the dvd commentary with Colin Morgan for s4 admitted that love/hate were always coexisted with each other.
Morgana certainly had the power and the invincibility for it, to keep Merlin in check, to draw him out, to make him face his dark and human side, to make him face his wrongs his sins and his victories.
Unfortunately Morgana didn't have the information he had. Merlin had all the information and he used that against everyone. Moreover her magic matured too late (with respect to Merlin's).
I think the real tragedy of Merlin's life was that he was already conditioned to kill from the very start (ep 1x06 Remedy To Cure All Ills ironic title ngl). That episode alone started it all. He was so so new and naive to everything and in that episode he showed absolutely no remorse at "accidentally" killing someone who offered him guidance and knowledge (at the expense of gaius).
And look I get it, he panicked. But after that he never wondered why Edwin was so so righteously angry at Gaius. Remember, Gaius sold Edwin's parents out to Uther and let young Edwin escape. Edwin's gravitas was so justified, you know? Merlin never tried to learn about the things Gaius did to protect "others" and most importantly to protect himself and his position. Even if Gaius thought black magic was evil, he still threw others under the bus for fighting for their lives. He still left Edwin (and Merlin) an orphan.
How does this relate with Morgana? You see from that point on, from episode 1x06 up to "2x03 The Nightmare Begins" Merlin has already killed at least seven people, most of them magic users.
Edwin,
Mary Collins (indirectly but him thwarting her plan zapped her of all energy),
Aulfric,
Sophia,
The Black Knight (who had a reason for it's anger),
Tauren's goons,
Nimueh
Sigan
Hengrist's goon's
plus he almost choose to get Mordred killed... 2 times.
He knew the reasons most of these had, but they didn't matter to him, he was never allowed to properly emphathise with them (Gaius taught him very very very well). Because his orders were always to "eliminate the threat" "kill them" for the sake of his destiny.
As Morgana's magic truly manifested in S2, Merlin was already too far gone and too far deep in the liar and vigilante game. Merlin was continuously performing treasonous and unlawful tasks UNCHECKED for two years! TWO YEARS!
TWO YEARS OF "JUSTIFIED IN HIS OWN HEAD" HOMICIDE AND MURDER WITH NO REAL REPERCUSSIONS.
And also I get why they had resorted to that kind of actions. One of the definitions of extremism from wikipedia said:
In addition, extreme acts are more likely to be employed by marginalized people and groups who view more normative forms of conflict engagement as blocked for them or biased.
That kind of radicalization and extremist training by both Gaius and Kilgharrah was effective as hell.
Morgana only started the proper coups at around mid-s2. She hasn't truly killed anyone for magic yet (aside from Tauren in S1). Even in Fires of Idirsholas she felt guilty of accidentally collaborating with Morgause.
It took 1 year of isolated training away from everyone for Morgana to be fully radicalized, forged in the fires of extremism herself. Even then, even in 3x01 and 3.02 when she killed one guard and she actively helped set in motion Morgause's terrorist attack, she still was willing to hear Merlin out in the crypts. She even laid out all her cards, showed her strengths and vulnerabilities for him to see and judge. Morgana still choose to be diplomatic despite it all.
What Morgana didn't know was that she wasn't dealing with a proper negotiator, she was dealing with a vigilante and secret agent who has three years worth of (1)all the vital information, (2)unchallenged power, (3)unchecked morals, (4)numerous kills, (5)experience in deception and (6)extremist conditioning. And the worse part was that the person who she thought was her friend, Merlin, even with everything he had, genuinely believed he had nothing to offer in exchange for her peace.
I think that's the tragedy of it.
With her truly coming into her full power only at s4, Morgana was too late to have a chance to inspire change in Merlin as a proper equal to him. Merlin has been in that overpowered and unchallenged state for 5 years at most. And by the time Morgana had become truly confident in s4, both of them had gone in the farthest ends of the extremes of their idealogies.
Merlin knew everything about her. But Morgana lacked the most important piece of information, the identity of Emrys.
No one could keep Merlin in check in the proper diplomatic manner anymore.
They have to come to arms.

DMITREI MASSARD / ALYMAR MERIET
I look at you and all I see is a dead man.
THE BASICS:
Character’s name: Dmitrei Massard (Born: Alymar Meriet)
Physical description: Aidan Gillen
Age: 42
MBTI: INTJ - The Architect
PLOT POINTS:
1.01: Introduced via council scenes
1.03: Council gossips about Alex and DMITREI or CASSIUS reply that he isn’t going to raimbeaucourt to rule, he’s going there to die - and ALEXANDIR knows it. Highlight ALARIC vs DMITREI anti-parallels subplot throughout (ex. both are excellent lords, but ALARIC clearly cares and knows everyone personally whereas DMITREI does not, etc)
1.05: Advises Avelina against becoming a sorceress
2.02: Jon is murdered
2.03: We learn the truth about #teambeaumont
3.02: Dmitrei orders Vincent to befriend dragon riders and Dmitrei reveals to Rowena where the Degreys are
3.03: DMITREI presents himself as a friend to the S RESISTANCE (and never reveals his connection to VINCENT)
3.04: DMITREI leaves #teambeaumont in favor of ROWENA
3.05: #BRITTAdead - after all, she knows both DMITREI and ALYMAR…and recognizes the difference when she arrives in the east
3.06: DMITREI tells ROWENA of LYNESSA’s betrayal just before she annihilates the south, so she goes east instead. DMITREI takes credit for saving the south w the S RESISTANCE
3.08: LYNESSA is put to death. as the executioner raises his axe/sword to behead LYNESSA, we cut to DMITREI - at the moment her head comes off, he smirks - end of scene/ep?
4.04: ROWENA has DMITREI “leak” info to lead THE RESISTANCE into a trap
additional plots:
DMITREI fineds out about CELIA and EVIE before the escape is through - and does nothing to stop them
I think Dmitrei will also plan for Cordelia to overhear some convo between Arthur and Avelina where she accuses Arthur of murdering his parents and so Cordelia will have that going on and be even more likely to listen to Dmitrei who may even go out west with her to give her council (aka rule in the west)
dmitrei becomes warden of the east after arthur
dmitrei - disappears ‘who is alymar now?’
TRAJECTORY:
Overall Arc: The Fly on the Wall to the Man with a Plan to the Nameless Man Becoming Nameless Again
Season 1 Arc (Step 1 of 4): Season 1 Dmitrei is largely undeveloped, purposefully. He seems the most rational of Rowena's advisors (Alex aside) and he does seem to advise Avelina ... but lord knows girl needs it
Season 2 Arc (Step 2 of 4): Dmitrei's biggest plan yet has gone into action and it is revealed that he was the mastermind behind the wedding/most of teambeaumont's plans
Season 3 Arc (Step 3 of 4): Not only is Dmitrei a schemer and a murderer, he's a disloyal one, too. Dmtirei proves he's willing to shift his loyalties (and his plans) to whatever best currently suits his needs
Season 4 Arc (Step 4 of 4): Ultimately Dmitrei saddles himself to the wrong horse and Rowena and Dezod are both defeated. Dmitrei lives to die another day, but in a weird way, he's pleased b/c he wasn't betting on the resistance pulling this off and he does like being surprised (it doesn't happen often); Dmitrei survives (or does he?) and no one quite knows what becomes of him
ENGINE OF CHANGE:
Internal goal/desire: To Be King (not because he wants that job, but in this world where everyone is playing the game of thrones, he wants to throw his hat in the ring and see how far he can climb! It's not the destination for him, it is the journey)
Why can’t they get it? At the start of this journey, he is the son of a disgraced lord who betrayed his country and lost his title and lands, leaving dmitrei with nOTHING and he couldn't have been farther from his goal. When he meet him, he's made progress and now sits the Queen's own council, but he's still a far cry away from being king, himself.
What are they afraid of: Failure! Dmitrei is honestly not afraid of much, but failure is the closest thing. I think he would hate to discover he's not as smart as he thinks he is? But at the same time, if he had just been played all along, there would be some kind of satisfaction in that for him, too?? Like I think he lowkey has been wanting to find his match in this world and the greatest joy would be to outsmart them, but second to that, it would almost be to be outsmarted himself??? idk he's a weird guy!! He doesn't fear death; he doesn't fear pain; he doesn't fear loss (even for those few people he has some resemblance of affection left click clacking around in what I guess would be his heart!)
How character views the world: A chess board!!! He views everything he (and everyone else) does as a strategic move tbh
How character views self: He's definitely arrogant when it comes to himself -- he's smart, efficient, charming, and knows exactly when it benefits him to speak and when to listen.
INTERNAL: THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER
Inner motivation: Proving himself!!! HE knows that he's the greatest, but no one in Aragoth knows this (yet) and one day he will have his story told
Kryptonite: his literal name!!! and tbh, he knows it!! It has always been a liability, since he literally stole it from a dead man easily three times his age, and sooner or later, there may come a day when someone from the south finds out who he is and just might expose him!!! Taking Dmitrei's name meant he got his job/connections, but there was also great risk involved in it, too. The longer this goes unchallenged, the less worrisome it is, but it has been one of the riskier choices Dmitrei has made. And while he does pride himself on being exacting in all of his decision making, to avoid such pitfalls, there is something exciting about being a little dangerous and just seeing how much he can get away with? Sometimes, being smarter than everyone else gets so boring, you have to help the idiots out a little, just to make it fair, y'know?
What is his/her misbelief about life (to be challenged ~this season)? His greatest misbelief about life is probably the idea that he doesn't need anyone and doesn't care what happens, as long as it is part of his grand plan? I think the only thing that really starts to challenge this, is seeing James again and there is that flicker the friendship that once was?? As well as his developing relationship w/ Lynessa, because I do think he does enjoy, for a time, having a partner in crime that he actually respects on some level??? Ultimately, however, none of this ends up mattering to him and he would sell either of them to the devil for (1) corn chip
Lesson he/she needs to learn (this season): #teambeaumont is too crazy to be helpful, even with his ~guidance~
What is the best thing in his/her life? Sometimes Lynessa Beaumont; sometimes the memories of his friendship with Harrion, but ultimately the best thing is outplaying, outlasting, and outwitting every single person he's ever met!!
What is the worst thing in his/her life? Dealing with Avelina Beaumont on the daily lbr
What does she/he most often look down on people for?
What makes his/her heart feel alive? That single moment when it all comes together!! Dmitrei is a plotter, a schemer, a master of manipulation and while he accounts for many different factors and has lots of different back up plans, even he cannot take credit for the workings of the entire universe and every plan he makes, he knows that there is always a risk of failure -- of it not going exactly to plan. And while I do think he thrives under pressure and he enjoys the challenge of rearranging and plotting in the moment, there's nothing quite so satisfying as some great complex plan, panning out exactly as he foresaw.
What makes him/her feel loved, and who was the last person to make them feel that way? Dmitrei doesn't often feel loved, nor is that an emotion he often craves. His relationship with Lynessa Beaumont, which is certainly the closest thing to romantic love he's ever experienced, isn't exactly love. It's a relationship built upon lust, but also a strange sort of respect for her abilities of manipulation/deception and scheming -- but ultimately he'd rather defeat her than possess her???? I feel like the last time he felt genuine real love and returned it, was honestly when he was a kid ngl that relationship he had with harrion at that time in their lives was the purest sense of love he's ever felt!!!!!!
Top three things he/she values most in life?  His accomplishments!!!! (His literal pride and joy in his life is the fact that he was able to reconstruct himself from the ashes of another man tbh and rise to such a position in life)
