aka gavin brindley and seamus casey, baby wolverines

starting off with the background, the two boys grew up near each other and have been best friends since they were about five years old

so they’re besties! we’ve established that!

so the two have played in tournaments together pre umich.

they played together during the 2019-2020 season, but were split up during the 2020-2021 season, along with the 2021-2022 season as gavin played for the tri-city storm, and seamus played for the usntdp. both boys played on the US national u18 team in 21-22 together.

- drafted 46th overall to the new jersey devils

- from fort myers florida

- celeb crush is margo robbie (love her!)

- is a defenseman

gavin

- eligible for the 2023 nhl draft, he’s a top prospect

- also from fort myers florida

- plays right wing, is on an all freshman line with jackson hallum and rutger mcgroaty

gavin got an assist on seamus’s first goal, cue. the cute celebration from the two!

0426 午後から京大でたまきさんと会う。たまき、って苗字かと思ってたら碧輝と書くらしい。生まれた時から筆名なのねと投げたら「最近になってそう思えるようになりました」とはにかんでいた。フェミニンな雰囲気にとても似合った名前だからこそ、揶揄われたことがたくさんあるのかもしれないなとふと思う。 サークル棟で撮ってもらった。普段人を撮ることがないと言っていたので、ペラペラ話す被写体にはじめこそびっくりしていたみたいだがだんだん慣れたのか場所とポーズを指定してくれるようになった。撮られながら芸大の恋人の話を聞く。ふんにゃりした柔らかい雰囲気の人だが、彼女は結構ぴきぱきした率直なキャラクターみたいで、なんだかいい組み合わせだなあと思った。 体育館の屋上にあがって、たまきさんのことも少し撮らせてもらった。すらっとして、すごく顔が小さく、なんだか貴族が飼ってるねこみたい。撮られ慣れてないんだなと思いながらあれこれ試した。 わかれたあとに、また会いたいです！とDMが来て面食らった。まぁ、歳離れてるし文芸畑だし、言い訳があるからなのかな、と邪推した。というかもう誰も彼もが下心ベースでわたしに会いに来るわけではない、とは思えなくなっている。とりあえず大学生の連作の原稿でも送っとこうかな。 夜、四条大宮で大窪さんと飲む。わたしと同じく2拠点で暮らしている謎の妙齢経営者で、とても静かに話す人だった。 京都で使っている家を5月から空けるので誰かに貸したいらしい。ふーんと思って聞いていたら「見学しますか？」と言われたのでついていった。今思えばかなりリスキーだったが、ものすごく丁寧に話す人だったので、つい乗ってしまった。 生活感のない、コンクリ打ちっぱなしの部屋に通される。さしてものがないのに凄くお洒落で、アトリエみたいだった。暫く話して、アイスをもらって、1時に帰宅した。 女性として気に入られてしまった気がするな、と思ったのでレズ寄りのバイセクシュアルだと咄嗟に嘘をついてしまった。本当に、こういうのよくないよな……マジで……なんだかもう、誰になんの設定を話してるのかわかんなくなりそうだ。

0427 かんなさんと梅田のリッツでアフヌンした。会うのは1年ぶりだが最近まではTwitterで繋がっていたので久しぶりって感じがしなかった。相変わらず顔になんの無駄な余白がなくて、綺麗過ぎて特徴がない。と本人に言ったら笑っていた。 アフヌン開始。おぼつかない説明を聞く時間が苦手で、もうなんでもいいんで早く食べさせてほしいなーと思いながら聞き流す。草を敷き詰めたガラスの柩みたいな、よくわからないトレイの上にちまちまとお菓子が載っていた。金持ちってこういうことに喜ぶんですか？ かんなさんはわたしが知るかぎりもっともモテている人間であり、社内であらゆる社員を惑わし、男の子を何人もはべらした上で「誰のことも好きじゃない」とのたまうとんでもない女である。とんでもない女だが大企業の中で上から数えた方が断然早いようなクラスにいるので、さもありなんとしか思わない。差がありすぎると人間、なんの劣等感も僻みも抱かないものだ。2歳しか変わらないのだけれど。 低予算で今、わたしも京大生を相手にバチェラロッテをやってます……！という話をべらべらした。かんなさんはわたしの京都滞在の記録をサスペンスとして読んでいるそうだ。違います！わたしの日記は20代後半の女のリアルな……心情と……行動を具に記録しているだけ……！ かんなさんの素晴らしい名言をふたつ記録しておく。 ・30代以降でかっこいい人は＝痩せている人 ・わたしより給与低い男にベッドで攻められても（笑） 早くわたしもかんなさんになりたい。正確には、かんなさんくらい稼ぎたい、でしかない。モテに関しては土俵が合ってるだけ、とは彼女の談だが稼いでいるのにモテている、ってまじですごいと思う。誰のことも好きじゃないそうだ。彼氏なんていらなくないですか？と真剣な顔で言われたが、それは常に特異なハーレム環境にいるからそう思えるのでは？と思わないではいられない。 夕方に別れて、富田さんと会った。なんとなく機嫌を伺われている気配を感じて、あーこの人22歳だもんなあと思った。公園でぼーっとして、野田まで無駄に歩いてとても安い居酒屋に行って、中之島の川でまたぼーっとした。いや、正確には結構会話……というか彼の弁解を聞いていたのだけど抽象的過ぎてよくわからなかったのである。さすが哲学オタク。いやまあ願ったり叶ったりなんだけど。 店がサービスで出した焼酎で随分酔っていたのでとにかくたくさん水を飲ませた。馬鹿だと思ってる？と情けない声で何度も聞かれて、多少ね、と適当に流した。こんなふらっふらな状態で新聞配達なんてできるのか、と詰めたら「茶飯事だよ」と返ってきて絶句した。 終電より何本か早めに帰ろうとしたら「うちに泊まればいい、始発で帰った方が楽だよ」と懇願されたが無視した。石橋から帰るのが楽なわけね〜だろ。 恋愛絡むとこういう人でも愚かしくなることよなぁと思って、驚嘆。サディスティックな富田さんが好きだったのに、とひそかに思った。
