going out on a limb here and asking for anonymous asks from anyone reading BitB (or not! im just crowd sourcing) who lives in/visited the cities on Endless' N. America tour. im doing bare minimum research for each city, as i don't plan on lingering too much on the locale (that would be counter productive, honestly). but it would certainly help me immerse myself as i write, if i could get some first hand experience from anyone who has visited or lived in these cities. the sights, smells, how hot it is in the summer... food, culture, music scene, etc.

Visiting Family

Woken to the Wega radio crooning,  its metallic sound layered with  aluminum blinds clattering together, yanked. All slightly bent to one side. 

The shuddering light falls at an  angle across your nose. One eye squints and sees wrinkled hands smoothing stalks hiding in the shade. In breeze, insects swim silk through the wet air. Inside, everyone is working.

Amah wraps dried milkvetch, honey locusts, and ginseng in brown paper— to fight fatigue. The room is filled with herbal dust, settling everywhere as wooden drawers are pulled and shut. The bitterness permeates your clothes, and flushes out your toxins.

Oversleeping is a cardinal sin, yet they would never wake you, just look with practiced disappointment as you rush in stuttering and apologetic. There is no cure for that. The gesture spans your head to toe.  Family is family.

THOUGHTS I re-made my outline, because it had a lot of plotholes, and was still only useable for the old version of the story. It was a bit of a setback, because I thought I'm on track, but I'm almost done with the new one, so I guess it's okay. The relationships are also more clear, and actually, we're figured out what's gonna happen in the last scene of the book lmfao. Otherwise, it's been a meh week, my mood and mind mind is empty and I could barely find the energy to do anything. Here's hoping for better days to come, though. At least I'm almost at the 5k milestone.

INSPIRATION SPARK: Mad Men. So many things infuriates me in this one, but I get the goal, and it's a perfect inspiration for all the vampiric activites, and some other stuff in the world. The series itself is brilliant I think, especially if it's more like a caricature on some things as I suspect.

I had been COUNTING. Keep in mind, this is only IF there are no weeks skipped. (I did not check holidays if there would be any weeks skipped.)

So. Here goes.

Option 1 I consered: 45

Ex-Aid and Zero One were both 45 episodes (yes, I know about why in Zero One's case, don't get into my inbox about it. Still a funny thing)

If it's 45 episodes, and no weeks are skipped, 07.23 would be the last episode of Geats.

07.28. is the airing date for the movie that we know. It could always be Post-Canon movie, with Takahashi

But - I genuinely don't think we can wrap everything we need to wrap up (even if we'd want to leave a few open threads for future installments) in just 9 more episodes especially with the amount of new forms we still know are coming

Also this would mean that 07.30 would be the premiere for Gotchard which... I really do not think so

Option 2 I consider: Anywhere between 46-50

In this case ep 46 would be 07.30; ep 47 would be 08.06, ep 48 would be 06.13, ep 49 would be 08.20, ep 50 would be 08.27

definitely more room to tie up those loose ends

I don't think we get a full 50, 48-49 is where I am leaning towards more, honestly

In that case, Gotchard would start end of August, which feels way more likely to me

I wonder if the final episode will be a standalone too just like we had Dawn F in the beginning, we might get Twilight F in the end or something. Or Twilight O because it's a standalone. Or Twilight I because new beginnings I guess.

08.01.월 8월을 상쾌하게 시작하고 싶지만, 미각은 아직 둔하고 하루에도 몇 번씩 열이 났다 안났다 와리가리해서 영 찝찝한 상태로 시작했다. 오후에 제작회의를 하나 끝내고 나서는 약을 먹어도 열이 좀처럼 가라앉질 않아서 조퇴를 하고, 집에 와서 한숨잤다.

08.02.화

입맛살리기대작전을 수행하기 위해서 점심에 동아냉면으로 출격했다. 동아냉면에서 경험치 좀 쌓았다 하는 사람이라면 문 열자마자 메뉴판도 보지 않고 대짜에 만두하나요라고 외쳐야하지만, 지금은 코로나로 인한 저식욕상태 + 위장보호차원에서 보광동맵찔이를 담당하고 있기 때문에 소짜에 양념은 따로주세요라고 속삭이듯 주문하였다. 오랜만에 갔더니 위치선정도 서툴러서 에어컨 직빵으로 맞는 자리에 앉아서 냉방병 걸릴뻔했다.

08.04.목 주원의 청첩모임. 수잔의 송별모임. 미각 되찾고 폭식기관차 운행시작함.

08.05.금 종표의 취뽀모임. 폭식기관차가 한남동 한방통닭역으로 출발하여 3마리 테이크아웃 후 우리집에서 한방통닭과 비빔면 조짐.

08.06.토

몇 주 동안 무릎 통증때문에, 그리고 지난주의 코로나 때문에 달리기를 못해서 마구간에 갇힌 말 마냥 답답해서 푸흥푸흥거리고 있었다. 그저께는 컨디션이 좀 괜찮은 것 같아서 한강에 나가 봤는데, 몇 분 정도 걸은 후 달리기를 시작하자마자 무릎에 통증이 느껴져 울상을 하고 바로 집으로 돌아왔었다. 오늘같은 날을 얼마나 기다려왔는지! 오늘은 달리러 가기 전 스트레칭도, 테이핑도 야무지게 하고 충분한 워밍업으로 몸을 달군 후 살살 달리기를 시작했는데 무릎에 통증이 안느껴져서 속으로 헉,, 다 나았나봐,,하고 신난 마음에 속도를 좀 올렸는데도 무릎이 아프지 않았다. (동물농장 성우 톤) "무릎아~ 앞으로 아프지말고 오래오래 행복해야 한다~"

08.07.일

엔딩을 못보고 1년동안 질질 끌어오던 게임을 5시간 들여서 드디어 도쿄 야쿠자 놈들 평정했다. 대사가 많아서 지루한 면이 있긴 했지만, 디테일이 좋은 컨텐츠에 환장하는 나로서는 일본만이 만들 수 있는 깨알같은 개그 요소들이 곳곳에 깔려있어서 즐거웠던 '용과같이7'

08.08.월 폭풍우 뚫고 한빈의 청첩모임. 대학교 1학년때 기숙사 204호에서 같이 코 찔찔 흘리면서 가위바위보해서 파닭내기 하곤 했는데, 언제 이렇게 어른됐냐.

08.09.화 폭풍우 안뚫으려고 팀장님이 재택령을 내렸다. 덕분에 점심시간까지 자고 일어나 대충 점심먹고 대충 살다가, 에어컨 배수펌프에 이어진 배수호스가 대충 설치되어있었는지, 어디선가 구멍이나서 바닥에 물이 흥건해짐. 오늘 대충 산 것은 이 때를 위해 에너지를 비축한 것이었다. 개고생함.

08.11.목 지난 토요일에 겁없이 신나게 달린 죄로 다시 무릎 통증을 얻었고, 이번에야말로 잘 케어해보자는 생각으로 8월은 러닝과 헤어질 결심. 빨리 낫게 하려고 이태원 정형외과에 가서 세번째 체외충격파 치료를 받았다.체외충격파 치료는 치료 자체도 아픈데, 그 이름조차 너무 아파보이는 이름이라 처음 치료를 앞둔 날에는 꽤 무서웠다. 돈까스 먹으러 간다더니 치과였어,같은 이야기처럼 치료를 받기전까지는 그래도 두려움을 느끼지 않게 해주는 편이 좋지 않을까. 체외솜이불파. 체외마시멜로우파.같은 이름이라면 치료를 받기전에 쫄 일은 없을텐데.

08.24.수

언젠가 날을 잡고 마음을 잡아서 밀린 일기를 다 써야지 생각하다가, 최근 사용하기 시작한 이 Fabulous 앱에 마음이 동하여 그러지 않기로 했다. 그래도 아예 잊고 싶지 않은 순간들이 몇 번은 있었다.

재윤 진솔과 함께 용인에서 정원의 집들이. 정원의 집들이에 가기전 승태와 아침 수영. 빡빡이 아저씨는 수영모자를 안써도 되더라. 부러웠다. 하지만 뒤통수가 납작한 나는 삭발을 할 수 없어서 아쉬웠다. 무릎때문에 달리기를 못하게 된 후로 아주 오랜만에 숨이 차는 느낌이 반가웠다. 계속 이어진 지루한 경쟁피티 준비. 규연 진솔과 오랜만의 노래방시간과 그 전후로 이어진 대학생 같은 1,3,4차 음주. 정익 수경 부부와 종상이가 우리 집에와서 사테를 구웠고, 나는 요리에 대실패 했다. 요리도 쉬면 퇴화하나? 종종 들었다. Wave to earth - Season. 오랜만에 톤으로 결판내는 밴드다. 생각해보면 나는 멋진 톤에 반하네. 오혁. 권진아. 한국 죠지. 미국 Joji인줄로만 알았던 일본Joji. 그리고 Joji는 가수를 하기 이전에 쫄쫄이를 입고 웃긴 영상을 만드는 유튜버였다는 사실을 알고는 적잖이 충격을 받았다. Billie Eilish. 내친구 규연. 톤은 타고나는 거라 많은 노력파 뮤지션들에게는 죄송합니다. 이상한 변호사 우영우. 승태의 추천으로 보기 시작한 휴먼스. 중쇄를 찍자. 일본에서 직업적 자긍심을 다루는 컨텐츠는 항상 기분 좋아지는 구석이 있다. 3시간 플레이하고 이러다가 인생망하겠다 싶어서 삭제한 모바일게임 '대항해시대 오리진' 플스로 15시간째 플레이하면서 인생망하고 있는 '페르소나5' 그리고 계속 이어지고 있는 이틀 남은 경쟁피티 준비. 내 아이디어도 아니고 프로젝트에 기여한 것이 별로 없어서 종종 위축되었다.

쓰다보니 길어졌다. 밀린 일기를 다 쓴 것 같다. 괜찮은 셀프케어 앱인걸?

경쟁피티 끝. 하루종일 재택 휴무(재택근무긴 했지만 일이 없어서 아무것도 안함) 후 승태와 수영 후 피맥. 올 해 중 최고의 날씨인 것 같은 날.

08.29.월 무릎은 또 조져졌지만 비 맞으며 달리니까 상쾌했다. 요즘은 또 고민한다. 이 일을 계속 해야 돼 말아야 돼. 연차가 쌓일수록 하나의 답이 나올거라고 생각했지만, 좋은 점과 싫은 점이 점점 뚜렷하게 공존할 뿐이다.
