let's have a lookback at how things looked before mid-2023.

did they interact? sure. they did, but usually the interactions were like... one moment per grand prix. sometimes nothing happened at all. and we have to remember (from what they told us), they did not like each other when they were karting very much, then they were friendly, then austria 2019 happened and they had a falling out and then slowly started talking again. this post-unfollowgate timeline gave us some funny moments of max just trying anything to talk to charles (asking him if the singapore flag, in singapore, was the monagesque one, or when he stopped charles to ask about weather awkwardly in the middle of the paddock).

or just look at this clip from hungary 2021:

clearly, they weren't in the "one austria away from restraining order" mood anymore, but they were awkward and didn't really know how to approach each other with the history they had.

fast forward to 2023, they seemed to get closer but still, they weren't exactly the best of friends and that awkward tension they always had was still around. that seemed to change around the time the infamous padeldate picture dropped. i remember dming my friend "MAX AND CHARLES HUNG OUT OUTSIDE OF WORK" because it was such a big deal. they haven't really done it before. it was an event organised by charles' agency (ran by his brother) and max was the only other f1 driver invited.

that event caused an insane domino effect of them constantly interracting, mentioning each other, clearly being much friendlier and comfortable around each other than ever before. their weird awkward tension was suddenly gone. we know from this time charles was in contract talks with ferrari and also worked on a possible back up plan of going to red bull if things at ferrari went extremely downhill (the infamous "verstappen did not veto the idea of leclerc as an teammate" article) so it's clear around that time they got closer and they did discuss the possibility of being teammates in the future.

this probably got them unlock this huge pandora box of the issues they had in the past that they never openly discussed.

fast forward to 2024, max and charles interact more than ever - max mentioning charles unprompted on numerous occassions, "we get along really well now, but back then we didn't," them hanging out outside of work and playing padel as teammates, max finishing charles' sentences in press conferences.... even their debriefs weren't that intense back then but now they're YAPPING.

we're only 2 races in and probably have more interactions between them than in like.. 2020-2021 already.

a lot of new fans joined during the era when they were already friends but i think it's always good to remind ourselves the journey that makes their dynamic so compelling, they did not always get along that well. they were never THIS friendly with each other. they happened to grow very fond of one another over time and, to quote charles they have joint "memories that were bad but got really good with time."

were they always weirdly obsessed with one another? yes. but were they ever this pathetic and close? no.

what we're seeing now is a complete 180 and we have to remember, they are drivers first. they will always put themselves and their teams first because that's what this sport is about.

the fact that they were never teammates and have this strong dynamic together speaks volumes.

Ayo so I actually got like 2 other messages about a Pt.2 to the first Mordecai headcanons, so Im adding this onto that! Again for some reason this murdercat got away from me so its a long boy. I attempted to keep it organized ,, , ,

First order of business, Mitzi ships it.

Back when Atlas bought her that nifty camera, she didn't just take embarrassing photos of Mordecai. She got some pretty cute candid shots of you around the bar, and a kinda-blurry-but-not-too-bad photo of you and Mordecai outside the big cafe window, talking to each other and not aware you were being photographed. It's pretty artsy, if she says so herself. She tucks the photos in Mordecai's desk and directly hands you the silly ones she took of him.

Actually, she clocked your feelings early on, but figured he wasn't interested. Didn't seem like the kind of guy, which is a shame. You're a sweetie. She hadn't seen you both act any different for a long time, so maybe that crush fizzled out? But if you ever bring it up with Mitzi, she's your #1 support. She's gonna set you up nice and give you all sorts of tips that just ... fall flat. Jeez, she knew Mordecai was unapproachable, but is it really going to take this long ...?

Viktor also figured your feelings out (albeit later), but that ain't his business. You had odd taste, though. He thinks it's pretty funny when other people flirt with you and Mordecai's suddenly in a foul mood and doesn't understand why. At least you two aren't hanky panky or anything, eugh, and you keep your heads during firefights. Anytime Viktor tries to bring up the topic (which, granted, is like a grand total of three times), he's so round about and non-direct that you have no idea what he's getting at. Oh well.

(If the idea of you two being a couple is brought up with anyone else, they can scarcely believe it. You? With him? Good luck. Only Atlas seems to see it, though his employee's love lives aren't relevant unless it gets in the way of business.)

Actually, if you're a more exuberant and affectionate type, that just makes people question your taste in him even more. The first few interactions didn't go great - you touched him without thinking, like you do most people, and he flinched so hard it's like you hurt him. Second time he hissed. Right, you got the picture. You became more mindful and considerate of his personal space, that plus an apology goes a long way.

Once you both are more familiar and have more trust, you can put a hand on Mordecai's shoulder or back without him reacting much. You can even squeeze his shoulder if you're trying to be reassuring, or silently warning him. Sometimes you just say "Hey, I'm gonna touch you," and you fix his coat or check a bruise. He lets you get away with more than others because you ask first.

(Sometimes he feels bad for it - you'll rush to hug your friends and you're so happy in their embrace, then you bound over to him and clearly restrain yourself as you touch his arm.)

Eventually you ask for hugs - quick ones! Special occassions only! But sometimes you're obviously distressed so he just. Lets it happen, briefly. If this is before admitting any feelings to each other or even himself, it's brief. If this is many years into this weird sort-of-understanding-relationship thing you both have, he'll quietly hold you while you get your emotions out. It's the least he can do, it really is. Mordecai already feels like he isn't deserving of whatever this is, and moreso if you're clearly someone who needs and wants physical attention and comfort.

But he does try, in his way. He'll reach over and take your hand. He gets used to sitting shoulder to shoulder, your tails brushing each other, or letting you lean on him when you're both exhausted. He actually likes it quite a bit when you slightly lean as you read and he does paperwork. It's nice to have that solid warmth, and comfortable quiet.

Mordecai lives in the main building above the cafe, long after he could afford an apartment. More economical and practical, he reasons. If Atlas needs something, he's right there. When you begin inviting him to dinner at your place, very slowly, he starts lingering afterward. Mordecai tries to make it like it's because it's easier to do numbers there - better lighting, your place is quieter, and so on. Nevermind the warm dinner and the nice fire in the fireplace and some low music on the radio and you reading something while his pencil scratches the paper. It ... really brings up some old thoughts and memories.

You've gotten bits and pieces of his family history during these times, usually after you've shared some of his own first. Clearly he doesn't like talking about it. You don't push it. You just listen to what he volunteers, and thank him for listening to you in kind.

Note, he always goes home, no matter how late it is. You feel like it's one of those lines that'll be tough to cross. Hell, just inviting him over was tough at first. He walked into your living space just fine in the day, when he was waiting to pick you up for a job. There'd be some comments on the dust or some examining of your plants, but nothing odd. When he comes by for dinner, he's initially tense until he settles in, and eventually he's quite at ease. Over the years he brought several plants in because he always heard you're supposed to bring flowers for the host, but flowers die quickly, and besides this variety of ivy is different because --

(You end up with a tidy windowsill of houseplants, and start having to put some on your counters. Mordecai gets flustered and suggests maybe you should get rid of some, and you reply you absolutely won't. When he waits for you to get ready, he checks their water and pulls some dead leaves. Might as well, right?)

As expected, kissing and intimate touches will be slow-going. You start simple: a quick good-bye kiss on the cheek when he leaves your apartment in the evening. The first time, Mordecai's hairs stand on end and his tail poofs up but! He assures you it was fine. He's fine. When the bar's empty and he's heading out, you give a quick 'good luck' kiss before hurrying off. You initiate all of them until one day when you'te both walking to the car, covered in (someone else's) blood and debating something silly, and once there's a lull in the conversation he just. Leans over and kisses you. It's only lasts a few seconds, then he just pulls away, fixes his glasses and trips walks to the car.

You're a bit dazed the rest of the drive and he's just a mess of nerves.

After that you can give him kisses now and again, but he gets flustered easily and it’s definitely a private matter. It's only around Viktor that you can touch and fuss over Mordecai, but that only leads to the old man snorting and the two of them starting to argue. Viktor's pretty damn surprised you're both that close, though. How long has it been that way?

Oh, and then there's drunk Mordecai. Oh boy.

This has only happened like, two times, because he does not drink. Period, the end, close curtain. He knows how he gets and he hates it. It doesn't take much of whatever questionable piss whiskey to get him swaying and seeing double. He'll flop on your shoulder and ramble about you're so wonderful and he's really not sure why you like him, also could you stop moving the room, oh and he's killed a man for you, but nevermind that you're such a darling person --

He's so sloshed. The novelty starts to wear off when he's falling over and you're having to get him home because apparently Viktor did it last time. At least Mordecai's a bean pole. If he's drunk in your apartment, thank god, you can just pull him over to your room so he can sleep it off. He's still going on about who-knows-what while you take off his shoes and coat. What's this about murdering who for you? Whatever, he's probably confused. Probably.

(You sleep on the couch and at 7am sharp you're awakened by a loud THUNK and panicked shouting as he still-drunkedly tries to orient himself and figure out where the hell he is. Hes so humiliated by everything he just avoids you for several days.)

Oh, last thing.

Mordecai will kill someone for you. Period. No questions asked. Viktor would too, yes, but after explaining and questioning and he'd go with you and hide the body. Mordecai just does it. Abusive partner, debt collector, a rival gang member tailing you, whoever - they're done for. He doesn't bring it up until you ask questions.

Vent Diary #4

If you think I hope a lot of those back to back, well it's probably because my mental health declined extremely fast. All the progresses I've made since over a year disapeared for most of them in less than 2 weeks. I also been thinking a lot about what's actually going on with me, for now the psychiatrist I'm seeing deemed that I had depression/anxiety and BPD tendencies (only started seeing him not too long ago). But tbh I think and I've been thinking for the past 6/7 years that I probably have full on BPD. I think it just went unnoticed by most is because I tend to avoid conflict and keep it to myself. But when a conflict does come up, I get so upset it's horrible and the first thing I want to do to make it stop is to hurt myself. Obviously it's far from being the only symptom I relate to, there is also the fact I'm completely emotionally co-dependent with my bf. How much I got attention from him that day = how much I will survive this day mentally. In the extremely rare occassions we fought, I shut down immediately and the 1st thing I want is to kms. He is the only sun in my univers, I wish I was also his only sun in his univers.. I'm managing money-wise right now but from the moment I got a credit card when I turned 18, I was a spendthift. Buying things make me happy, like really happy. Buying a nice dress feels better than most therapy session I won't lie. I also have a tendency to get close to people really fast and will then fluctuate between periods of ignoring them or wanting all of their attention. Sometimes I even told almost my whole life story in less than a couple of days to some acquaintances online, only to block them the moment they were being as weird as me (wanting attention) lol. I won't add on to the other symptoms but I check all the boxes, I just keep to myself most of the time so it doesn't appear very noticeable from the outside.. I don't know what to think, but from all the experiences I've seen people share about their illness, BPD is the one I relate to way too much.

That binge drinking episode I had last Thursday/Friday has set off an horrific series of anxiety/panic attacks.

Relaxation techniques do not help at all in this (and often don't anyway. Stress/anxiety has been wrecking my life since age 12). Sitting down and watching a film has made it even worse. And as for trying to sleep...

Sleep is impossible. I feel wired. My whole body feels weird. I feel both exhausted and yet as if I could power half the planet.

I'd literally be better off running down the road screaming. Which I don't feel like doing at 3:34am.

Exercise really does help, but again it's 3:34am

To be blunt: jacking off often helps a lot, especially before sleep, but on this occassion has actually made it worse.

I've ended up drinking more alcohol (the first time since Friday). A shot. Which sort of helps but sort of doesn't. But I got desperate.

Part of this is no doubt happening because the binge drinking episodes are screwing up the Citalopram medication which often doesn't seem to do a lot but believe me the difference is very clear when this happens (or when I don't take it properly).

I'm beginning to suspect that bouts of binge drinking interspersed with 1-2 weeks of not drinking at all is actually far worse than trying to drink normally between binges. And obviously I need to try and stop the bouts of binge drinking or I'm going to have to stop drinking alltogether.

These periods of not drinking at all are attempts to get the binge drinking under control, but it's absolutely pointless because rarely does a week pass without something setting me off. Unless I find a way to control how I react to certain extreme stress/anger inducing incidents - especially unexpected ones... I'm doomed.

I have noticed that it usually helps to drink a "normal" amount the following day after bingeing, and then stopping alltogether for a while, rather than just stopping dead. As far as the hangover goes, it did help this time as usual. But this is not a hangover problem.

It may be because this is the worst incident I've had in months despite not even being the most I've drank. Nothing like.

At one point I drank the equivalent of at least 1 litre (2 pints) of whisky in 6 hours. But... I interspersed this with coffees, juices, and food including chocolate.

Last Thursday I panic drank half a bottle of whisky and 2 pints of 8.2% cider in less than 3 hours with no other drinks or food until after.

It was horrendous. My memory was mostly wiped out. I could barely stand. I couldn't urinate. I collapsed in bed at about 8pm after a dinner I could barely eat. I didn't wake up until around 7am and couldn't initially work out what was going on.

The actual hangover lasted a day or so. The nightmare has been these extreme anxiety/panic attacks which have become worse and worse since.

If you have problems with stress/anxiety: alcohol is not the answer long term. It can help up to a limited point, but do not go beyond because you'll end up like me or worse.

I have two seperate Keldor gets unpossessed au's and no idea when I'll get round to writing them

1st one mostly follows the 2002 show's timeline + backstory. Skeletor is defeated and Keldor is seperated from the demon possessing him. For the first time in roughly 2 decades Keldor is himself, but has to deal with the aftermath of his deal with Hordak, his fractured relationships, and come to terms with his involvement in Skeletor's actions.

This one would focus mainly on his relationships with Evil-lyn and the Evil warriors. He'll likely never have a good relationship with his family, but he does end up sort of bonding with Adam. It's a really complicated uncle-nephew relationship, but it's also oddly... nice?

The dark hemisphere ends up more or less being a seperate kingdom from Eternos, with a peace treaty being established + trade routes.

In the 2nd AU after Randor is named Miro's heir, Keldor pretty much goes "cool cool cool, fuck all y'all" and leaves Eternos to live in one of the Gar cities. This Keldor does not give a shit what happens in Eternos or the rest of Eternia as long as he's allowed to do his science-magic experiments in peace.

(That's a lie. He actually cares a lot, but he's never going to admit that. And it's easier to pretend to be a giant asshole and push his human broters away, than it is to keep trying to earn his father's recognition.)

Reconnects with his mother and has a few gar half-siblings who love their grumpy big brother.

One day one of his experiments goes wrong, he gets pulled into another dimension, and ends up making a deal with Demo-man to get home in exchange for being possessed. 20 years later Adam finds out Skeletor and his missing uncle are sorta the same person and sets out to rescue him.

Adam is surprised to find that his uncle is a grumpy git who'd rather die than admit he cares about someone. Keldor is very much dragged kicking and screaming into caring about other people.

Also Keldor's knackered after a 20 year long possession that's left his body barely holding itself together. He needs a nap and does not want to have to fight Demo-man, Hordak or whoever the rest of these people are. Sort of has an okay relationship with Randor and Stephen, though Randor has a tendency to get really overbearing. Randor means well, but Keldor is a grown man, he can look after himself.

His relationship with the Evil-warriors is weird in that he feels like he's known them for a long time, and knows Skeletor worked with them, but he memories of being possesed are fuzzy at best. Duncan on more than one occassion has told him to stop flirting with Evil-lyn.

Miro can still get bent though.

Hey, I'm that anon who sent you that Emmy rambles part 1&2, lets just call me Zee to distinct my posts from others & avoid confusion.

Ok first off, thank you so much for your length reply, like i said, i enjoy having discussions with others who love it as much as i do. Second of all, i'll go about this ask by replying to your comments from my anon posts first and give some clarification to some if needed, starting from part 1 then moving to part 2, before i add some other thoughts below my replies to your comments. Third, if i don't have anything to add to some issues you've mentioned (because some are just random thoughts that i had when i wrote these asks so i dont really remember much now), i won't add in anything, and leave it at your replies.

In fact, there were more than three very separate occassion that I'd like to add to prove this weird traits:

1 When Trevor was slandering Michael and the horsemen to Emmy a couple of times (three times to be exact, 3 times!) and was probably hoping she would join him on the Horsemen hate bandwagon and probably do something about it (like what he planned with Damon against Rika or something like that), but unlike what happened with Trevor and Damon in Corrupt, the same colluding acts did not happen between Trevor and Emmy, not even to talk shit about Michael who she never really knew much about even though he had been insufferable (by association) to her before. A worse person would've not just shit on Michael (even anonymously online like those hate messages for Damon, Winter and the Horsemen in Kill Switch), they probably could've used this time to take advantage of his reputation, money or whatever they can get from the Chris, to drag him down further, but Emmy never did any of that. She could've just blindly trusted rumours, especially something coming from a blood brother of Michael, and went after him to "pay back" or whatever for all the things the Horsemen had intentionally or unintentionally did to her, especially when it concerns her Grandmere, but she didn't. In fact, one of the characterisations of Emmy that i remember most was from the after basketball match and blackchurch because she always seek out for answers even if it might not be something she needed tor wanted o hear. She even called out to will about how he never asked for her for truth of the who jail situation, and would rather just bask in the mystery of it and go about things blindly, even if it's not true, rational and could hurt others (hence why they still couldn't justify hurting Rika, because THEY NEVER ASK). Also, wasn't this just like how he thought of his grandpa and Mccallahan's mystery too, no? He didn't want to know because it was comfortable.

Anyway, my conclusion towards this small interaction with Trevor already build up a solid characterisation to go against that "judgmental" thing that PD tried to hammer us down with. If this was Arion, even if she didn't have any evidence against Michael being a shit brother to Trevor (or especially if it concerns Damon and Winter), she probably would've taken the chance to hurt them to get what she wants, and because it's easier to pile on the Horsemen, since they already got an unsavoury reputation, so it's not like it's a far stretch from what people could've thought of them, she wouldn't have been stoned much for she was about to do to them. On the contrast, Emmy felt guilty for whatever things she played apart to. hurt them, even in duress because she knew it was undeserved, but she thought she was alone and had no way put of the situation then. 

2 Her relationship with Damon. Was Damon shitty to her? Kinda, but it was never bad. Shitty to others in that town, especially girls and women? Hell Yeah. Were all of them rumours and were things she heard from people or things she actually saw him do or say? We'll never really know, because it was never much clarified in text how much she saw it happen, or thought of him and his friends enough in Nightfall to have a conclusion about Damon's character. She only knew him as insipid, boring, shallow, and mean but that's about it. Nothing malicious about her observation, even for someone like Damon, who was seen as "evil" in prior books. She only fully judge what she was and heard with her her senses, not through rumours. Damon's character was seem softened in this book, not only because the conflict between him and Will had decreased, and the "amazing" way Will look at him, but also because Damon really had no prior bad relationship with Emmy, AT ALL. If this was Arion, he would've done worse, so it doesn't only show the other side of Damon that seems a bit normal, but it also shows the kind of person Emory was to make Damon react like that towards her, and how Damon & Emory's relationship shifted differently than his relationship with other female characters in this series. I believe this could support that anon's headcanon about Damon & Emory's relationship, because their dynamic didn't just start BECAUSE of will, it already happened prior to that, and i think it's believable that anon's headcanon just flows after my understanding of their relationship as stated here. The "Damon" we saw in Emmy's pov was indeed already very different than at least 4 other female characters' povs in the series: Rika, Banks, Winter, Arion. And surprisingly, it was heavily influenced because of Emmy's treatment and character towards him in general. Which is also why i agree with your reply to that anon that maybe this could be one of the reasons why Damon was forced to be open, honest, kind, sincere and vulnerable with Em, because nothing else that was bad worked with her. It had to be out of something good. I agree with you opinion that Damon's opinion of her changed even more after that second shower.

3 Which brings me to my third point (i might sidetrack a bit here, but there's still correlation to that "judgmental bit, stay with me for a sec lmao) where this might also be one of the easy reasons as to why MIcah, Rory & Aydin's can kinda bond with her, and their dynamics changes when she's in the picture. Wasn't it mentioned before that no one in BC had ever spoken to Aydin rudely, and they always had to wait for his green flag before acting out something? Sure, Aydin could've done something to suppress her or whatever, but it was never mentioned in text how they tried to fight him no? They just were in denial that they had to stay in BC and rot, not because they had to fight the "Alpha". This also is a proof of how they were not the only ones in control, she was too, and I love that in Emory's story, we always see this side of her, be it with Damon, with Martin, Will, Aydin, everyone really, because we were also shown the main reason why people had beef with her is usually because they couldn't control her, and then they lashed out, especially martin and will. In Nightfall, not only we see how the FMC reacted to people and how their dynamics change, but we also see how FMC's demanding character or her narrative and so she was always labelled as "others" or something negative to make it look like she deserves to be treated lesser, or something weird. They could've just given her freedom, but they had to be "dictators" to dictate everything she think, do or say just because they wanted control, and when she doesn't give the reign, she was framed as "bad", and the readers who lacked critical thinking just ran along with this idea.

I really love this part of Emmy where these MMCs were shown many times that they need to adjust their lives to HER instead of always expecting her to go along with whatever things THEY wanted HER to do, say or think. I like it, because it gives us a solid characterisation of what kind of person Emory is, and how does she usually respond in such and such situations. The downside of this though, if she was too prideful, instead of being open about working together on what could've worked, at her lowest, she might not listen and that could result to a bad individual choice that could hurt a a social group especially when things could've been handled better. When Will and even Emmy said something about her not wanting to accept help because she doesn't want to trade one for herself, it's consistent with her already existing fear of being too dependent on someone or something that could've turn out worse, because of her relationship with her brother. I think there was an anon who had talked about this before, the one that post a lengthy reply too about love languages, and I agree with their points of Emmy not being able to always accept acts of service, not always because she was prideful, but because the services always came at the expanse of someone else' safety and happiness, especially herself, her grandmere, the horsemen and other innocents.

Like every architecture books by her brother was a sorry for each time he relapse, every time he brought up about his contribution to her education and career choices, he reminded her how much he's done for her, so in return tried to make her believe that she deserves to be treated like that. Classic domestic violence things, and i'm sure many more scenes could back this up, but i'm gonna leave only these here atm. That's why i thought the undeserved guilt by will to emmy was too much, mainly because of this. Now, if PD used this flaw instead of whatever "judgmental" bullshit they tried to shove down our throats, it would be more believable, because there were many instances where she was prideful, silent and couldn't retort back because she went too far in her critiques or actions, and we can see by the end of Nightfall how she finally just let go, and go all out to accept love and other good things, from Will, and others, with no fear of being used as a weapon against her for their goods offerings. We see her working TOGETHER with them, instead of AGAINST them, and hurting each other again. This flaw would even fit well with and could be related back to the theme of "doing and feeling the most, being whoever you want to be, putting aside shame" blablabla yk. This could be the highlight of her strength and flaws of her character, because you're right, strengths and flaws are like a double edge sword, when it's imbalanced, it can be seen as good or unsavoury depending on context given.

There many other instances where this "judgmental" thing didn't work, but these above are some that immediately came to my mind rn.

-Emmy cares so much about people, often to her detriment. It makes sense that she carries guilt, but as I’ve always said, it’s underserved. But that’s who she is, so it came into play. It’s a shame that more readers don’t see that about her. Will’s issues were always about him; what he wanted from her, what he wanted her to think, what he wanted her to do. What he wanted, period. Meanwhile, Emmy wanted him to be happy. She wanted him to move on, because she wasn’t in a place to make him happy, and honestly, she might never be. When she thought she’d betrayed them, she was expecting he’d come for revenge, because she didn’t think he deserved to go to prison for hurting Martin or the gazebo, no matter how it affected her personally. She understood his anger and grief, but couldn’t take it away. What I don’t think though, was that it was hers to bear either.

But she needed to learn how to throw it away and get to a place where she didn’t need her anger to move forward anymore.-

One other thing I like about Emmy's character was that she never made weird assumptions about BC's men's sexualities and thought if these BC men might be attracted to her or like her, like how a lot of reverse harem books were always implied and written. There wasn't much explanation to this, but I just wanna add this because it was refreshing to see it in this book (and maybe it was the same in the previous ones too but i don't really remember) where the FMC were just minding her own business and didn't think much about whether or not she was attractive to them whatsoever or overthinking about their sexual presence in her life now because "oh what happens when a male meets female in a secluded area" heterosexual romance cliche bullshit yk. and I love Em's character even more when she was very accepting of Micah & Rory's gay relationship from the get go, as if it was a normal thing to her, and not something that should be labelled as "other", and was respectful of their relationship, not be THE Other Woman in their little gay love story. It's such a small thing, but i love this choice of narrative very much. And this too might be one the reasons why Micah & Rory can accept her into their little group too, because she was very respectful and accepting of them, apart from being kind and caring towards them afterwards. A shittier writer could've used this as a plot device to bait reader for a reverse harem book, or worse, a love triangle between a gay couple with a strange woman, just to add some unnecessary heterosexual drama into a happy gay love, but thankfully, it never happened in Nightfall, especially not in Emory's arc. 

I remember her judging Aydin for swimming naked and laughing at her comments, because if it was some other FMCs, they probably would've reacted differently and made this about straight couple's insta-love-lust meet cute. The same goes when Will was eating out Emmy in that drawing room with MicahRory beside them, and when Rory approached her after, instead of being about the whole thing, she was only just minding her own business mooning over Will, then accepting Rory's clothes to change into like a normal wednesday for her, lmao! I just knew if this was Bella from Twilight, she would not react like Emmy, AT ALL HAHAHA! The pairing would be All x Bella instead, Not just BellaEdwards. So yeah, other than to show that Em's not a narcissist homewrecker, or a bigot, it also shows how she too, just like them, were a but desentisized with a lot of socially "shameful" things. She's kinda coo-coo in the head too, because no "normal" people would do that, definitely not Misha and Ryen.

-Another reason why it bothers me that blackchurch happened towards the end of the series is that we don’t really get to see Emory act in normal circumstances. In Nightfall, she’s always stressed. Like, we can agree that being judgmental is not the fatal flaw that the narrative makes it out to be, but then… what are Emmy’s real flaws? And while I love that she’s quick and decisive enough to protect herself and deal with the situation, I’m kind of left wondering.-

I think some of the flaws you mentioned and guessed are interesting and could really be used for Emmy's further characterisation and make her a more fleshed out character too. I also agree with everything else you said about Damon and Winter. In fact, I love the acknowledgement that Winter wasn't this innocent little lamb that she always paint herself to be, because I imagine if it was Emmy, she wouldn't have thought like what Winter thought in that situation. Banks, maybe because of her attachment towards Damon, Rika too because she was still trying to understand him. It feels a bit weird, and lacked a sense of accountability from Winter to me. I don't hate it though, I love that she had ACTUAL flaws, because this flaw happens a couple of times throughout the book, and it had hurt Damon a couple of times outside of the time that he wasn't going after her, and they happen for absolutely no reason, but by the time Damon was about to die, you can see Winter's slow but steady shift and character growth and by the end of firenight, we saw how her character was transformed after all of that. Still didn't make her my fav character or anything, but i kinda like her arc.

That's where the similarity starts and ends, at least to me.

Difference: TOO MANY LMAO

Yeah, hahaha! I thought I would get someone even bitchier than Banks, but Emmy was just so... Emmy? And became my favourite #1 character of the whole series instead. In fact, one of the biggest reason why Em's being my fav was so confusing to me was because I expected to see a very big flaw in her character, but her genuineness sidetracked me from it instead. That's why even though i love her character, i still wished she had a more believable flaw rather than just a minor one. But then there a  lot of people and characters in this world who had lesser flaw than others, so if that's how it's going to be, i'm fine with it too. 

Like you, i thought i might have given Em too much leeway, or overpraise her, but the more i put deeper thoughts into her characterisation, it's because her character lack heavy flaws, something that can be heavily and negatively criticised about, that's why i felt like i overpraised her. But like i said, i don't mind reading characters with lesser flaws, i just wished that lesser made sense, that's all. Not all of my fav books and chars have heavy flaws, but they made, iykwim.

I was also shocked to see Emory hate too, especially if they've read the book from book 1, but these kind of people do exist, but whatever, like you said, to each their own.

When Trevor was slandering Michael and the horsemen to Emmy a couple of times (three times to be exact, 3 times!) and was probably hoping she would join him on the Horsemen hate bandwagon and probably do something about it

I never concluded what Trevor’s ultimate motive was. I thought he thought that he found someone like him, who would hate Michael and his friends. I knew he wasn’t interested in Emmy, because his goal was Rika, but then why take the time to single Emmy out. The idea that he might have been trying to garner approval from her or something is an interesting one. I wonder if he had any further plans with that or if it was just in the moment. For at least two of the three, it seemed to be just a momentary, they were in the same place and he thought she was like him. The first one, where he follows her to the bathroom, that’s the one that always stuck out to me because ‘why? What do you want, ya slimy snake???’ But then it never went anywhere so I let it go. Or maybe she has an innate read of people and felt between Michael and Trevor, the latter was the one to avoid despite what was on the surface.

But you’re right; Emmy never joined him. She never even felt the pressure to try and fit in, to be well-liked on the chance that it would improve her situation. She just didn’t want any of it, if it meant talking about things she didn’t know about or needlessly insulting people to feel better about herself.

Emmy felt guilty for whatever things she played apart to. Hurt them, even in duress because she knew it was undeserved, but she thought she was alone and had no way put of the situation then.

This is a good point. You’ve heard the phrase to play the hand you’re dealt? Unlike the other characters that hand the chance to trade cards, lie and cheat to get a better hand, had cards up their sleeves, she played the best hand she could within the circumstances. She felt bad when it negatively affected other people, even though that’s the name of the game really. She didn’t even choose to play the game at first – she was forced to the table.

Damon's character was seem softened in this book, not only because the conflict between him and Will had decreased, and the "amazing" way Will look at him, but also because Damon really had no prior bad relationship with Emmy, AT ALL.

This is an excellent point. I often complain that Damon felt soft because we already know how his story is going to end, so none of his scenes have any bite to them; he’s lost his edge, so to speak. But it can also be because for the first time we’re seeing him from the mind of someone who actually likes him (Kai and Michael liked him, but they were also annoyed with him a lot of the time). Will genuinely liked Damon. And Emmy had no strong opinions. Sure she’s heard things, but probably no worse than the rumors that followed the others around. I remember her saying he smelled like an ashtray and that might have been one of her strongest critiques until he started targeting her. So now we’re seeing Damon in a different light, and it could just be a softer one.

I still think that shower scene would have been so much more tense if we didn’t know what Damon was capable of. KS kinda took that from us by defining his limits. Regardless, I would have liked to see more of Damon and Emmy. To see how they’re dynamic played out and how they relate to each other versus the others.

I love that in Emory's story, we always see this side of her, be it with Damon, with Martin, Will, Aydin, everyone really, because we were also shown the main reason why people had beef with her is usually because they couldn't control her, and then they lashed out

I love this point right here and just want it to stand out on its own.

It does have a lot of merit. Even with Aydin and his whole wanting her to come to him on her own, let him in her head shtick, he only built up her ability to make her own decisions when he was trying to manipulate her into making the decisions he wanted to make. When it started to fail, he ran out of patience and kissed her to get to both Will and Alex. Yes, validating her abuse and her reaction to it was nice, but what was his motive in doing that? Until the hospital scene, everything about Aydin should be questioned.

Now, if PD used this flaw instead of whatever "judgmental" bullshit they tried to shove down our throats, it would be more believable, because there were many instances where she was prideful, silent and couldn't retort back because she went too far in her critiques or actions, and we can see by the end of Nightfall how she finally just let go, and go all out to accept love and other good things, from Will, and others, with no fear of being used

Yes yes!! If her main flaw had been refusing to accept help even when offered sincerely, because of her fear, that would have been really good. It brings to mind all the help the guys offered her in BC, how at times she never questioned it because why would she. But if her biggest flaw had been to always doubt people’s intentions, to refuse help, even when evidence points to the contrary, then watching her get over that fear to accept the hand that’s offered might have been refreshing. I mean, I can see how people might tight that into be judgmental, but I just don’t think it’s the same thing.

A small example of that could have been with Micah. Say if at first, she refused his help when he wanted to talk and wash her hair because letting the strange boy abandoned on the island behind her and give him access to her neck isn’t the best idea, even if up until that point he’s been nothing but kind and speaking out for her, and she’s seen him get the low end of the stick from Aydin and Taylor and he’s offering help, and really she could use an ally, versus a later scene where she dances with him and gets injured and lets him help her walk.

Like… there’s something that could have been done there. That would have been a small sign of personal growth within the narrative.

What I liked is that it was always clear what the end goal was for the main LI, and they didn’t deviate too far outside the group usually. There were no random side characters to create useless love-triangle-drama (which sidenote: this is why I never understood the people rooting for Alex. That was always a losing battle. It was always going to be Em. From Corrupt, it was going to be Em. There was no love-triangle. Even Will mentioned that he wanted to love Alex that way because it would have just been easier, but it was never like that for him. It was never going to be Alex, why are you mad??? Stop trying to make fetch happen it’s never going to happen! Anyway.).

Even with Michael and Rika and Trevor, we knew from the get that Trevor wasn’t endgame, they made that clear.

So it makes sense that in NF, Emmy – who works in a creative field and has spent almost a decade in SF, knowing the community there – wouldn’t bat at eye at Micah and Rory. It literally was Wednesday for her.

But I also thought it was funny that people kept appearing naked in front of her, when that was the last thing she wanted. First Will in the pool, Damon in the showers, Damon again. Taylor. Aydin. Will again.

Little miss, your people-watching days are over.

And what I mean by that is Emory had a habit of watching people and she got away with it for so long because she was able to go unnoticed by most. She was only ever caught by people who were already aware of her.

 What I meant by that was that unlike with Rika, Banks, and Winter, who’s stories took place in their home town and around people they were familiar with, which could give them a chance to go somewhere to decompress and find balance before going back out to fight, Emmy was thrown into the fire. She had no one. Nothing was familiar, not even the environment. There was no way she could find relief, except for in the people who posed her the most danger. This is not the same as the other girls who had people they could trust in their corner, even when things reached their highest stress point.

I don’t mind that these books only show a certain part of the year or snippets of their lives. I’m realizing the more I think about, I enjoy when media plays with the timeline a little. I liked One Day for the same reason, I enjoyed This is Us because of the past/present narrative similar to Devil’s Night. It’s a thing for me, apparently. I don’t need to know all the surrounding bits to appreciate that this time frame is different. I just… Rika, Banks, and Winter had a place they could retreat too. Emory was literally cornered all the time and cornered people - desperate people - don’t make the same decisions they usually make so the Emmy we met in the narrative isn’t the complete Emmy. It’s difficult to say is she stubborn and argumentative because she’s literally been kidnapped and is trying to stay alive, or is she just stubborn and argumentative because that’s who she is?

Somehow, that would have been less cringe. I think part of it for me was the announcement this is for my sister’s husband. Like… what? And this is supposed to be a classy event. Michael’s parents are right there.

Aw yeah, that’s true. We could have had her blindfold him and taught him how to handle touch without freaking out or something. Or listen to the sounds of her breathing and getting the smallest details. Our eyes do so much to feed our brains information. He could deal with having it taken away for a minute. Or even is she put him in a dark room with no way for his eyes to adjust, just so his other senses had to come in. They could have taught each other stuff.

This is very true. I was more pointing to how we had her running into Banks and how she saw Kai going into the confessional, so we know it matches up for Hideaway. But Banks never thought about ‘the strange girl I ran into’ and Emory noticing Winter and Damon around town. Emory noticing Rika giving Winter the wrong sandwich and trading it out. I don’t remember Winter thinking ‘didn’t Rika say she was getting me chicken?’ or whatever. Emory was there in all their stories. They just never noticed.

If those little moments had been planned (and I don’t blame PD for this. NF was the last book, and she couldn’t retroactively put these scenes in there if they weren’t already planned), then it could have been that Banks comments about the girl, and it’s just a throwaway line for the reader until we get NF and then it’s like “ohhhhhh!”

Winter could have thought about the discrepancy, and it’s maybe she didn’t hear right. Until we get NF, and then we see that Emory was there the entire time. But as it stands, nobody notices her. Nobody remembers her.

And that feels both sad, because it is part of the reason Martin got away with it for so long, and… but Will did. Will always noticed her. He misunderstood a lot. But he always looked for her.

Ohh I was going to start Genshin Impact a few months ago but the person who wanted to decided not to and I assumed it was a co op game 👀

I have given up Fortnite for a while, it's burned me out. I have been playing Warzone and Overwatch 2. I played Apex in the past. I should have given it far more play time I will admit.

I like Minecraft on occassion. Persona 5 is great but I think I suck at it, but it's a great game.

Day Z is another I am on lately

Genshin is that weird mix of co op and not co op. You can't do co op until AR 16, which doesn't take very long to get to, or when you're in story mode. You also can't visits worlds who are higher than yours. It's fun in a weird way, but you don't need other people to play.

Oh man, I miss the day Z days. I should download that game again. It was always my safe haven.

As for most pvp games, I've kinda burnt myself out of them. It took something special to bring me back to fortnite (Stray), and Apex I only go back when I must to keep up on the story, though I no longer actually write for the apex Fandom.

I've never actually played warzone, but I see a lot of game play from youtubers while I'm at work, and it looks fun.

rather well-liked due to her "good leader" image. she was well-known as a sm trainee and people were rooting for her to debut after she left sm. often seen as the most hardworking nuemuse member, calli's reputation is very clean and family-friendly, having a 'girl next door' image.

IO

perhaps the most unpopular member of nuemuse, but not because of some shit reputation (that honour goes to love) but because people tend to not feel drawn towards her more introverted nature and tendency to stay behind the scenes. despite this, she is well-known in more niche spaces for her rock music/influences and producing skills. noah, infact, only grew more popular after leaving nuemuse and joining fiore. noah is also very popular within the japanese fandom.

LOVE

one of the members with the worst reputation, love has a reputation for being rude, lazy and overall a pain to work with. early in her career a makeup artist complained about an 'idol who cannot stop snapping [at me]' and people later sussed out it was miaoke. because she has a more 'headstrong' personality love has a polarising rep. some people think she is a girlboss and other think she's unprofessional. its a shame that love is a such a force to be reckoned with onstage.

SEIRA

another member with a clean reputation, she is sometimes such as a little 'out-of-touch' with the rest of society and can be seen as awkward at times due to her upbringing and background as a (failed) child star. however, seira is relatively drama-free and unbothered, especially towards the end of 2020, where she shifted to focusing more on professional singing instead of idol work.

MELIA

golden girl no. 1! people love her bc of her family background but also because she can actually SING. melia mostly keeps to herself and would end up like noah if not for her famous family. she does not invite any BAD ENERGY into her life and only speaks when she needs to <3 unproblematic.

NIA

golden girl no. 2! as a (successful) child star, jiheon is often seen as the nation's little sister and this extended into her career with nuemuse. having trained 24/7 for public appearances, jiheon is well put together, drama free and clean of any major scandals. girl is so scared of a scandal that there's a rumour going around that she never speaks to male idols unless she really has to.

SI-A

problematic no.2 LMAO. like love, si-a has a more outspoken personality that often lands her in hot water. she has more than one occassion been rude to seniors and that has made her public enemy no.1 - so in contrast to love, si-a is more 'publically' beefy whilst love is much more private about her drama LMAO. however she's nuemuse's ace so she's everywhere and getting deals and public tv appearances everywhere. some people see her as 'honest' and some people think she's unneccesarily confrontational lol.

THALIA

another clean rep idol. thalia loves music and she could not care about anything else, so she never finds herself at the scene of the crime. people joke that thalia never goes outside unless to perform or sing or busk and lowkey its true LMAO. she has zero friends and that's kinda a sad reputation but people find her tragic and lonely sooo it works in her favour?

YURA

problematic but none of it is her fault she's just happens to always be there when shit goes down that she gradually gets associated with the drama LMAO. male idol and female idol hanging out? yura is somehow spotted nearby at around the same time. an argument? yura literally just passed by two minutes ago. she cannot escape. also yura's constant side-eyeing of her brother has made the netizens INVESTIGATE and constantly people are blaming her for being weird despite the fact that she just wants to talk to her brother who REFUSES to even look in her direction.

I had to look through your page a bit to get an idea of what to send so here I go. Also I see that I sent you a message instead of an ask so that’s my bad. I’ve barely used Tumblr before believe it or not.

Cats are my favorite animal because they’re independent but also very loving. Purple is my favorite color not only cause it’s pretty, but it’s the color of royalty. Currently into anime with JJBA being my favorite. Black and white roses are my favorite color combination.Oh and kids between the ages of 3-12 piss me off I just cannot stand them.

My personality type is ENTP, I’m an Aries sun and Aquarius moon (I genuinely don’t have any idea what any of this means, but they’ve always been fun to know for conversation purposes).

I’m super into reading. Mostly fantasy/thriller/horror/mystery. I’m a college graduate with 2 degrees (going back for my third) and I take pride in knowing how smart I am/how smart I thrive to be.

She would enioy having a complimentary piece of clothing or jewelry with you, like a necklace that matches to her bracelet or something like that. She would treasure whatever accessory it is Very much.

Yosano is super endeared with your softer side, it makes her feel warn and fuzzy

She would especially like work visits, since she spends most of her day without active work being required, it takes a while for her to realize your visits didn't indicate an injury , though. She asked "are you hurt anywhere?" Like the first dozen times you visited her at work

i’d looove to own all the plushes. they came out when I was away from the fandom and you can’t find them anywhere now. The modern non-exclusives are just not as cute. right now at 7, it’s still reasonable to attain a full collection. grateful my friend was into crane machine and got me the OG 2008 one. i’m willing pay $200 at most for a plush but it’s impossible unless you triple that, plus just there’s not much channels to source them. The newer one under Mando branding and Celebration is such a drop in quality their faces are just printed on so glad I found a prototype of it with an embroidered face instead. Was it trying to pay homage to the orginal? lmao

Due to the way the ADHD brain is 1) constantly underestimulated and desperately craves estimulation but 2) hates estimulation that doesn’t pertain to the personal interests of the person, it ends up being pretty personalized due to how creative and “I’ll do shit my way” the ADHD person tends to be, but a very common, generalized baseline of how all these personal, custom methods are usually developed, an important part of their bedrock, if you will, tends to be “everything I really hate, I’ll simplify to its purest, most basic form, which leaves me with the parts I’m really good at doing, and then I just fill out the insufficient parts with the output from the parts I did great”.

It’s easy to perceive it as mental handicaps because the usual methodology of neurotypical people makes up feel like we’re doing shit weird and wrong and we could be doing it better and “why can’t I do what everyone else is doing and works for everyone else but me?”, until you realize your own method of doing shit works out just fine and you can do incredible things and most others will look at the way you do things and say “what in the FUCK is wrong with you how can you actually live like this?”, because we are our own teachers and unfortunately it is unlikely anyone can teach us how to do things, BUT we can take ideas and suggestions and, through a lot of trial and error, we end up figuring out exactly how we tick and how we can pull shit off.

This is also why I’m adverse to the majority of these “ADHD tips” posts, unless it’s very generalized advice based on how to form a methodology, more than concrete and precise tips: Concrete and precise tips are just what works for each person, and they MIGHT work for you, an ADHD person, the way it did for the ADHD OP, but they might just not work, so those posts should be taken as “I’ll try it out” more so than “OH MAN TAKING NOTES THIS IS WHAT I NEED TO DO YES OR YES”, and if it works, joyous occassion, if it doesn’t, it was worth a try but now we move on. 

As an ADHD psychologist, back when I still was a therapist and worked with ADHD kids, my advice was rarely about specific tips, rather, I’d help the kid with their homework, but not by telling them the answers, just helping them actually go through it in a way that was easy and natural to their own style, which I’d take notes of, and then we’d work out more concrete things, and we’d try out what worked and what didn’t. It usually went well, because the thing with us ADHD people is not “teach me how to fish so I can catch fish and eat”, it’s “ok, so, I know I need to learn how to fish, but the rod approach just doesn’t work for me, I don’t get it, it doesn’t feel natural at all, is there anything else I could be doing? -> yeah, here’s a harpoon, let’s see if this works, or you can throw a stick of dynamite into the lake and then collect the fish, maybe even just grab the fish outright with your hands, hell, maybe you don’t need this boat, maybe you need a pier, or to swim wth the fish, we need to find the way YOU yourself are good at catching the fish, and limiting ourselves to the rod, which is what most ‘normal’ people use, is to shoot ourselves in the foot”.

decided to revisit anora’s wardrobe bc i sip the loving anora mac tir juice. details under the cut!

casual

Her casual/day time outfit around the time Inquisition takes place. i borrowed mostly from the fereldan fashion concept art and what you can find fereldan npcs wearing throughout the game. Anora wears a lot of black, out of respect for Cailan, and privately, for her father.

formal

A dress for more formal occassions, like state visits, celebrations, dances and masques. again for this one i borrowed a lot from the Inquisition concept art. there isn’t a lot of embellishment but it’s still more high key than her casual dress. fereldan clothing isn’t as stiff or restrictive as Orlesian, so it’s easy for her to move around and dance in.

armour

Battle armour! for this one i took cues from her armour in heroes of dragon age, as well as something i had previously drawn. i also looked at Theoden and Eomyr’s armours from lord of the rings so hopefully some saxon influences are visible.

hunting/riding outfit

This one is based entirely on the Arms of Mac Tir from dragon age 2. since apparently that armour was stolen i can imagine Anora  having something similar commissioned for herself, though this also doesn’t seem to be a Loghain exclusive design. i don’t know how much hunting she would actually do herself but she likes to at least look the part

underwear

Her underwear is based on tudor period shifts and stays. since Ferelden seems to be largely based on medieval england i’m gonna assume that your typical (victorian) corset doesn’t exist, and instead she has this, which is largely there to give shape and support the garments she’d be wearing.

origins dress

Not gonna lie lads i really dislike the dress designs in Origins like... some of the concept art is okay but the models are... weird. don’t get me started on the colours. anyway this is my attempt to redesign what she’s wearing in origins to something that’s more coherent to what we see of Fereldan fashion in inquisition. i tried to keep to the original silhouette as much as possible but threw some tudor influences in around the neck and bodice. 

coronation

Is Anora Mac Tir gonna wear her standard everyday dress to her coronation? Nah fam. the dress would be a simple white linen, the detail coming from the apron that bears the Fereldan coat of arms. this one has more medieval vibes I think? the cloak and crown are added after she is crowned queen officially

season 4 time, all characters are adults

eren

he can put back more than most, but is a massive angry drunk when he gets there. his voice gets louder and his face redder with every sip he takes. very high likelihood of getting into a fistfight, especially with jean if he’s unlucky enough to be in the vicinity. will probably spend the next morning vomiting and mikasa has to be there the whole time to make sure he doesn’t pass out with his face in a toilet

mikasa

doesn’t drink much because she pretty much has to act as eren’s wrangler for when he’s drunk. HOWEVER when she does drink she doesn’t drink a lot because it gives her killer headaches and she gets very touch averse. if someone so much as brushes against her she’ll lose her mind

armin

do not, under any circumstance, let armin have alcohol. he’s the biggest lightweight, a featherweight, if you will. two shots and he’s already an emotional mess going on long rants about how beautiful nature is and how precious his friends are to him

connie and sasha

these chaotic little disasters are a two for one deal. they only ever drink when they’re together because it’s “a lot more fun” and by fun they’re probably going to try communicating with animals and/or inanimate objects. jean is the responsible one and always puts away sharp objects or things that could possibly be used as weapons because at some point sasha will inevitably attempt to demonstrate “hunting methods”

jean

though he’s usually the semi responsible one and helps connie and sasha recover from hangovers, when he’s the drunk one he is BOUND to get everyone in trouble. tries to fight people, starts incoherent arguments, and by the end of the night he’s the one most likely to be arrested

historia

so so emotional. she’ll see a flower and start crying about how beautiful it is. she uses her small size to her advantage and curls up in places ymir can’t reach, just becomes completely feral. giggly as all hell and asks so many questions bc her brain cells are just absolutely buzzing

ymir

really cocky and really flirty. compliments historia and her friends endlessly, going off about how great they are and how much she appreciates them, but THEN she’ll turn around and completely flame someone. everything she thinks about them is made very clear. doesn’t start fights herself but will ABSOLUTELY stand her ground. drunk eren tries to fight drunk ymir and he gets his shit wrecked

reiner

it depends. usually he’ll just be sprawled out on the couch completely dead to the world. a heap of misery. on bad days he’ll start rambling to people about his emotions (despite them not asking) then proceeds to deny it ever happened by the time he’s conscious again. gets very touchy and will cling onto bertholdt like a monkey while he drags him around because he literally will not let go. he gets really really hungry too and would probably eat an entire block of cheese by himself should he happen to get his hands on one

bertholdt

so sweet and kind, barely different personality-wise to his sober self. he doesn’t drink much himself but will have beers with reiner sometimes. despite not knowing what the hell is going on he’ll sit and listen intently to someone talking even though he can’t really understand, then proceed to compliment them on how smart they are and probably give them hugs against their will. as you can probably guess, this is usually reiner. he manages to fall asleep in really strange places while drunk. examples: squished into a closet, wedged between the fridge and the wall, etc. somehow his drunk self finds this comfortable

annie

threatens to fight people but won’t actually do it unless she’s really angry for whatever reason. might just curl up on the couch and completely zone out, dead to the world, barely processing what’s going on around her. usually she refuses to move so it’s pretty normal for armin to have to pick her up and place her somewhere to recover. she’s the responsible one in the trio while sober however and will babysit bertholdt and reiner while they’re crying and holding each other or something

levi, erwin, and hange

neither levi or erwin get drunk drunk but will have glasses of wine together while gossiping about other scouts. meanwhile, hange is collapsed somewhere, probably face down in a potted plant. eventually levi and erwin have to flip a coin to decide which one of them is gonna be the one to drag hange out of their predicament and place them somewhere a little more comfortable where they can sleep. hange is barely conscious but laughing really loudly the whole time

porco and pieck

they really don’t like drinking, porco because he doesn’t want to do something he regrets and pieck because she doesn’t want to embarrass herself. and, of course, neither of them want to have to deal with the pain afterwards. HOWEVER if porco were to drink he would be 1. really fucking rude and probably mad at people for nothing and 2. sleepy as hell. literally just... he yells at someone and curses them out then goes straight to bed. he sleeps in weird positions while intoxicated and will somehow be sleeping peacefully while contorted like a cat. pieck on the other hand would be 1. very affectionate and kind and 2. somehow completely feral at the same time. she can’t stand on two legs while drunk and will often be laying on the ground just dead to the world (and sometimes people do actually check if she’s still alive)

zeke

I feel like he’s always at least slightly intoxicated. would probably hide a bottle of whiskey in an absolutely-not-conspicuous paper bag and write “work documents” on the outside of it with a marker. he’s very deadpan and monotone so his drunkenness could be mistaken for indifference. unfortunately he has the alcohol tolerance of a tank so it takes a lot for him to get pass-out-on-the-ground drunk. he also gets REALLY hungry so the other warriors have to hide their lunches from him because he will absolutely consume everything in his path

yelena

is probably very quiet and kind of just stands there like some kind of cryptid. will just linger and watch people. would probably try to hide herself behind a lamp post but, of course, everyone can see her. she refuses to believe that she can be seen however and despite being fucking huge she thinks she’s a master at hiding. has swan dived into a bush to “hide” on more than one occassion
