Week 42/52: October 17th - October 23rd 2022 | Nam Dae Moon Rice Cake 🍓
Got my 4th dose of COVID finally and got basically no symptoms so went out to eat desserts with Vicky again the day after (non-stop desserts with her lately). I have to work 7 days in a row after today so I am not prepared at all lol. My last chance of relaxing before I am dead again lmao. Went to 南大门 FINALLY and got their strawberry sando & osmanthus rice cake 桂花糕 yummmmm!!!! Strawberry sando had really refreshing strawberry whipped cream, lots of fresh strawberries, and there was a layer of stretchy mochi that was sooooo good wtf!!! The rice cake was a lot harder/drier than I had imagined but it was still yum and I love the osmanthus sauce on top. Overall good desserts!!!!! Filling too. Highly recommend. 👍

A lot of Captain Swan scenes hit differently when you remember that Emma’s a human lie detector. There’s so many lines Hook delivers that could be sloughed off as him talking big or just being glib... but you always have to consider that Emma literally knows whether that’s the case or not. If she’s not calling him out on shit, it’s because he’s not giving her shit.

I feel like we don’t talk enough about how the Captain Swan first date outfits are absolutely inspired by Johnny Castle and Frances Houseman...
...especially Emma’s. They could make that reference more blatant because she’s only sporting the look for one episode.
But Hook’s entire modern look is definitely a nod to Johnny Castle. And it makes sense to have this kind of callback to one of moviedom’s most iconic “Good Girl + Bad Boy” couples.

As much as I love The Owl House for its lgbtq rep on the big screen coming from Disney, I feel like Ducktales 17 should really get more credit then it deserves for its rep! I mean literally they walked so TOH can run!
- Dt17 started in 2017, TOH started in 2020
- Violet canonically has two dads
- LP is canonically Bi
- Penumbra is canonically a Lesbian
- People who worked on the show drew art of Della and Penumbra together
- Gyro is labeled as a chicken but DOESNT have features that other roosters in the show has, and his outfit from the flashbacks from Astro BOYD can probably show he is transcoded!
-Similar stuff with Violet! In real life, Violet Saberwings are only Male but in the show, she is a Violet Saberwing, hence her name and a female! She is also transcoded according to me bc I make the rules!
- Boyd was given the opportunity to chose his identity and his own proper name at the end of his episode, and he took it! and that in itself is rep!
- Lena got to choose her own identity and was still discovering herself in season 2&3

Oh man I finished watching the new Chip ‘n Dale movie on Disney + and I have a lot to say about it! Spoilers if you haven’t seen it yet!
- I absolutely admire that they were able to incorporate so many different animation styles in this movie!
-The 2d animation is interesting and i dont hate it so that says a lot!
- The story that was told, I enjoyed it and I liked the mix of toons and the living world living together
- The elements used in this movie are really cool!
-CAMEOS!!
-I like that they brought back Gadget’s original VA for this movie
- Ugly Sonic…?!?!? And they fact they brought in the original animation style that the first Sonic movie was supposed to use before the movie got delayed and we got the new style
- Gadget and Zipper have kids? Idk how to feel bout that! 42 kids… and counting??!?! WHAT?!
- After seeing the scene where Chip and Dale were about to be bootlegged in that machine the first time, it actually freaked me out
- I absolutely loved the callbacks to the original show! So smart and since I started watching the original show I absolutely loved that!
-The Disney Afternoon era references, Genius!
-DAKRWING DUCK AT THE END?! Best part in my opinion! COME ON DISNEY, GIVE US THE REBOOT!!!!!!

Noddy you’re insane. But I also like a challenge. Here’s most of them.
1. What were your summers like as a kid? My grandma and grandpa lived right next door, they took care of us while my parents had to work. In the summer, I usually just played pretend outside with my two cousins and sister that also lived next door on the other side of us.
2. Do you enjoy thrilling rides like rollercoasters? Yes!
3. Who was your childhood hero? I looked up to the creators of atla a lot!
4. What is your favorite book? Probably still Behemoth, the second book in the Leviathan series by Scott Westerfeld
6. What is your favorite outfit? Probably my cherry blossom tee with a pink skirt. Comfy and cute.
7. Does seeing people in love make you happy? Sad? Annoyed? Annoyed and jealous, if I’m being honest. I wish I could feel that way. At least as naturally as other people.
12. Iced drinks or hot drinks? Iced drinks. My favorite drinks are iced coffee and iced tea.
13. Bright colors or neutral tones? Hmm. Probably neutral. I’m a big fan of pastels, if that counts.
16. What’s your favorite feature of yours? As much as I complain, probably my squinty eyes. My Dad and Grandpa both have them too and I like that I inherited that feature from them. I think it’s endearing that our eyes disappear when we smile, lol.
21. What’s the stupidest fight you’ve ever gotten into? I remember arguing with a cousin over the phone when I was little on if it’s okay to run a red light if no one else is at the intersection. I insisted it was because my grandpa told me it was. She valiantly disagreed. That phone call lasted forever XD

My bisexual??? aunt is the life of any party. She can make friends anywhere. She lies all the time, over the dumbest things too. She is so fucking funny and problematic and I love her.
28. What's your favorite holiday tradition? 4th of July. My grandpa hosts the best party in the area at his house. My uncle and dad are usually the ones that organize it. Along with the help of most other family members who cook, clean, set up, etc. A lot of people come out and we eat barbecue, play games, light sprinklers, and watch the fireworks show.
31. What's a show that everyone loves that you didn't? Survivor. It’s so boring to me.
35. Who are your top 5 celebrity crushes? Only one I can think of is Robert Sheehan. I love his hair.
36. If you could learn one language fluently what would it be? Ugh this is hard. The weeb in me says Japanese. The “language I’ve studied but am not great at” in me says Chinese. And the practicality in me says Spanish.

47. Biggest pet peeve? Someone demanding me to do a task without 1. prior notice and/or 2. me even agreeing to it

93. What's your craziest work related story? One time a kid bit me on my boob really hard and left a bruise for weeks. One time another kid bit my finger and made it bleed so hard I had to go to the urgent care. One time one of our kids somehow spelled out the word ‘sexy ❤️’ by placing random letter stickers
94. What's the best job you've had so far? Being a carhop. It had a lot of downsides too but it is the only one I haven’t gotten fired/nearly fired from due to my autism swag yet LMAO
97. Are you more of a planner or a spontaneous adventurer? Planner, for sure

No. Depending on the context, most people would either see me as pretty wise and smart for some reason (friends) or the dumbest and most immature person you’ve ever had the displeasure of working with (coworkers). It seems like there’s never any middle ground. I’d like to think I’m in the middle of those extremes.

Bought Legends Arceus for my little sister today and she caught a shiny Eevee on her second trip out I was so surprised - she was so happy about it. Hanging out with her honestly made my day, I just try to be a good big sister and I'll always support and protect her.

Fucking love watching Olympic ice dancing/figure skating. The outfits are neat, often glittery and there's so much grace and talent. I can't skate for shit but I respect people who not only skate but DANCE on skates. Beautiful and talented.
