HAPPY MERRY ENDING (2023, SOUTH KOREA)
Episode 2 Part 1
The very reserved and cautious Seung Jun (the amazing LEE DONG WON) has allowed soju to lower his defense mechanism with a guy he seems to like in Jae Hyun (BYUN SUNG TAE). Jae Hyun is definitely smitten with Seung Jun. One a wedding host (piano player) and the other a gifted wedding singer.

Hi it's just to let you know that the official romanization of Revaan's name is Raverne ! Also they have romanized Baul's name to Baur !
Twst coming back at us again with the least expected romanization! thank you everybody (oh god my inbox) (no it's great, I literally asked for this and the reactions have been INCREDIBLE, thank you all!)
I do like Raverne though, I think it's got a nice fancy sound to it! (I had kinda suspected it was going to be an R instead of an L, so the fact that it's SO close to Laverne except for that is hilarious to me personally.) and Dragoneye Duke is honestly probably the best translation for his title, I wasn't envying the localizers that one. :') Baur instead of Baul I was NOT expecting, but in retrospect I think his name's supposed to be a reference to the Bauru crocodile, so that actually makes way more sense!
someone else also said Meleanor has become Maleanor, which is the REALLY weird one to me, because I was so surprised it was written as Mel instead of Mal in the first place?! oh god no I can't decide which one I like better. 😭 (I wonder if they might change it to Mal...they have made romanization changes before) (like I remember House of Distraction being corrected to House of Destruction in Playful Land) (I did check and she's still Mel for now, but I dunno, they might Mal her up and some point and save me from having to make a decision about which one to use) (HECK I CAN'T DECIDE)
uhhhh thank you for letting me ramble about anime names, let's just say MONOGRAMMED SWEATERS FOR EVERYONE

Bonus:
Yayoi Niijima as Zelda and Unknown Girl as Link from A Link to the Past Commercial (see here)
Diane Burns as Zelda from cutscenes in Zelda's Adventure
Annie Ward as Zelda and Unknown Person as Link from top down view of Zelda's Adventure
(These people do not speak in their roles, but they are listed as having played the characters, so I thought I'd make a bonus post with them.
Because of this, I am not posting the usual videos showing what their voice sounds like.
However, if you are interested, you can search Yayoi Niijima and find songs by her. For the other actors, you can't really find anything about them.)

@creator-kami and I made a big discovery last night that cannot be unseen and I can’t believe what I once joked about in my head might actually be true. This isn't the first time that's happened, but if I had to point this out and realize it, you all need to see it, too. So, y'all see the zippers on his sleeves? Yea, it's easy to think that zipper is for the jacket itself, but it's not. Kami cleaned up one of the old promotional art pieces.
Unknown has zippers on his jacket sleeves. His jacket has been a two-in-one this entire time. His jacket can become sleeveless. He's got the ability to not only make that jacket breathable when it's hot, but he chooses not to in the name of the off-the-shoulder style. What am I supposed to do with this information other than share it with all of you so you can be trapped in this moment with me?

I can’t speak for Scarlet players since I haven’t played it yet but at least in Violet. I feel like the Paradox Pokemon from Violet are more…terrifying? Because in Scarlet they’re from the past, they’re just a little more beastly and wild, they’re from an era that’s already happened so it’s been recorded. There’s at least some assumption as to what life was like back then, what Pokemon were like. And we KNOW what they become in the present day, the sorts of Pokemon they naturally evolve into over the centuries. But when you look at Violet’s Paradox Pokemon…they’re from the future. An era yet to be, something unpredictable, something unseen. And looking at the Pokemon themselves—they’re all machines. Robots, made of chrome and mechanical parts, not entirely “living” beings anymore. And that fucking terrifies me. What happens in that distant future that makes it so all Pokemon look like this? Do Pokemon cease to exist in that time, so humans turned to the next best option, that being a replica of Pokemon? Or did something so awful happen to humanity that Pokemon were forced to evolve into machines just to survive??
I’m not saying Scarlet’s concept of Paradox Pokemon isn’t scary, because looking at it, it definitely has a theme of “wild, untamed and unknown eldritch creatures” which is also pretty horrifying. But obviously things were all rougher and tougher back then, and as people evolved and humanity evolved, so did Pokemon, so they were tamed by humans over time. But the FUTURE Paradox Pokemon…what the fuck happened. Why do they look like that. Why are they naturally violent creatures, if they were made by humans. It feels much more jarring to be walking around in Area Zero seeing regular Pokemon and then robots roaming around along side them rather than Pokemon and some cooler, rougher looking Pokemon. Am I making sense. Lol

actually; i get why everyone is disappointed with the sequencing of the beginning, the shift. and i agree 13829%
Book spoiler: in the novel, it's paced nicely and really given it's time. they dont end up going all the way after the first kiss too. and that kiss, akdjas, it is upsetting they dint flesh it out better. the part where, qian realizes he doesn't even know how to kiss properly, yuan snapping out of his stupor of being caught off guard and going in, the waist grab, and subsequent thoughts going off in qian's head (awareness of lack of flexibility, waist being strung like a bow etc etc.) idk, those were really significant imo.

Role reversal/balance of power between Wei Qian and Wei Zhiyuan as seen through camera language/shot composition
EP 1-6 Wei Qian is seen at a higher position of "power" than Yuan; EP7 and on that is reversed
EP 1: Wei qian is placed much higher than yuan in the scene. This shot of wei qian is almost god-like. There is light coming from his direction. In yuan's eyes he is the pillar, his savior, lending a hand down to pull him out of darkness.
How many times throughout EP 3-6 can they show us the worshipping at your feet, I am at your beck and call position? Wei qian very much sits in the role of an older brother/guardian, and yuan is often placed to be looking up at him. They are not yet on the same level.
------
Wei Zhiyuan returns and he's in control
After EP 7, we get more top-down shots of Wei qian, making him look more vulnerable. He's often looking up at yuan.
And Yuan towers over him.
------
Their position on the slope during the EP10 confession scene is telling
Yuan is at the taller end of the hill. He is in control of this conversation. He asks the questions while Wei qian fumbles to explain.
Wei qian is standing on the lower end of the slope so he has to look even further up at yuan. He's in a vulnerable position as he finally confesses his feelings.
But in the end, their positions reverse:
In this moment, Wei qian holds the power to make a choice. And he finally takes that step forward and grabs onto yuan.

I still miss the era before prequels when the clans were implied (or at least you could imagine them) to be ancient before later books all but confirmed the clans are only around like...less then a century old??
imagine if the dotc cast was having run-ins with ye olden english peasants or something and dodging around horse drawn carts. a different world could have been a fun change of pace. or at least potentially really funny. but nooo we just HAVE to have cars around, how else will we quickly fridge unneeded love interests

“Boss,” you approach Unknown, obviously ready to complain to your heart's content. He knows this game very well by now, for all the times you've made him play it. Actually, when Unknown thinks about it, he supposes that you’ve never really been in any position to make him do anything. If he didn’t want to listen to you, then he wouldn’t have to.
“What?” he spits, humoring you regardless of his disinterest in wherever you think this conversation is going. After all, sometimes your rambling turns out to be quite entertaining, and occasionally, you want to bring his attention to something which is actually relevant to his revenge.
“I'm bored of working,” you announce, as if that means anything. “Do you wanna see how much I got done?”
He narrows his eyes, making one final click before he resigns himself to stepping away from his revenge for a moment. It's annoying that you keep on distracting him— Unknown never expected this when he decided to keep you as his assistant. If he'd known you'd be so rowdy, maybe he wouldn't have held onto you this way, but as it is, he's kind of stuck with you. He can't send you back to where he got you from— even though he's fairly certain that you wouldn't intentionally breathe a word about him to anybody, there's always the possibility that those liars could find you and torture the answer out of you. After all, if the benevolent Savior is willing to try something like that on her believers, Unknown shudders to think about what sorts of things might go on in the world of the RFA. He can't cleanse you, either— with your general weakness and anxiety, which he doubts would be eliminated by the elixir of salvation, Unknown gets the feeling that you wouldn't last an hour as a believer. Ultimately, he has no choice but to keep you here.
Strangely, he finds he's more productive now that you force him to take these little breaks, as you call them— probably because he has to work even harder to catch up in between, but more productive is more productive. Unknown would do anything to be able to bring that redhead to ruin faster, though that doesn’t mean he’s pleased to be wasting his time on something so inane as your fragile feelings.
“You're bored?” He coos, continuing to humor you. Inane or not, those feelings of yours are fun to play with.“Oh, you poor thing. Then come here, and I'll make it better, hm?” Unknown turns to face you now, making sure that you get a good look at his wolfish grin.
You must know that it's a trap. You're probably not the smartest person in the world, but Unknown is familiar enough with you by now to know that you’re nowhere near as foolish as he initially expected you to be. “Mmm,” you hum, slipping into his embrace and clinging to him like you actually think you're going to get anything out of this. Maybe Unknown should consider revising his assessment of your intelligence, after all. Or maybe... you know it's a trap, but you like it anyway. Strange. “Thank you.” You really sound like you mean that, like you actually think that Unknown is going to let you off the hook so easily. He saved you specifically so that you could help him with his work, and you don’t get to quit on him just because you’re sick of it.
Now that he has you in close proximity, Unknown leans in to whisper in your ear, “You don't get to be bored of working, cutie. Since you can't do it on your own, I guess you can just help me with my task instead, hm? What a handful you are.” He feels you smile against his chest, and, not for the first time, Unknown wonders whether he is actually the one in control.
“You want me to just look at the screen?” You ask, clearly trying to restrain your excitement. You really are strange, if that’s something you’re looking forward to.
“Yes,” Unknown replies, “Turn around and look at the screen.” You do as you’re told, and Unknown feels relieved. He’s still the only one in charge here— of course he is, and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

i'm literally pleading BEGGING on my knees for gcrest to explore a bit more cozmez's past and their relationship with their mother to understand what they went through as kids. like okay we know their mom was a prostitute and was abusive with them ... and then what
literally all we know about it is from the ain't no love lyrics. but i just wish we could get flashbacks of little cozmez, a pov of their lives back then... i want past interactions with their mom SO BAD it would give a huge insight on their trauma. i remember how they mentioned them being kicked out every time their mom had a client at home and they were only four. FOUR YEARS OLD !!!!! i can't believe gcrest never developed this topic further :/ i'd rather see that than them arguing about something for the nth fucking time
