saw someone on twitter, whose family is in gaza, say the same thing: her sister told her that israelis are executing palestinian men and boys aged over 16, abducting them, forcing them to strip. these are displaced civilians and survivors. some people are defending the forceful stripping by saying that the purpose is to ensure there's no bomber vest/weapons which is ridiculous bec if that was the purpose, why are they taking pictures like trophies and circulating them online? why do they even suspect civilian men and boys trying to find safety with their families to be wearing a bomber vest? israelis have been releasing videos of stripping and beating palestinians since oct 7 - many of the palestinians victimized this way have been from the west bank. palestinians held in israeli jails are also stripped and beaten in a way that is hauntingly reminiscent of american crimes in abu ghraib prison in iraq.

The Israeli Abu Ghraib ?
They paint a picture of a facility where doctors sometimes amputated prisoners’ limbs due to injuries sustained from constant handcuffing; of medical procedures sometimes performed by underqualified medics earning it a reputation for being “a paradise for interns”; and where the air is filled with the smell of neglected wounds left to rot.
...
"(The beatings) were not done to gather intelligence. They were done out of revenge,” said another whistleblower. “

a week or so ago there was a really good article on the “girlbossification” of war and warfare itself, but specifically centering on the IDF’s thirst traps (ie, showing off the female body along with some nice nationalist propaganda to go with it, because sex sells with angry horny men looking for purpose) and “enlightened feminist” social media branding
this is nowhere near the first piece on it, it’s been pointed out by literally everyone
Tumblr media
“hello, young and impressionable woman looking for purpose! want to defy traditional gender roles and empower yourself by committing genocide and war crimes? tee heeeeeee!”
yeah, unfortunately we have some of those at home too. we know where that messaging leads:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pictured at the abu ghraib prison are lynndie england and sabrina hartman. the (living and dead) bodies have been censored out. look up these pictures at your own risk, they are NSFL.
the “girlbossification” of global warfare also made me remember the coverage of this disaster from a few years back. which, funnily enough, stars an IDF soldier in what is basically the worst superhero casting of all time.

jesus christ lmao.
“woman fighting in war….is good?”
this stupid sentimental garbage is literally followed by not-diana massacring through overwhelmed, non-powered human soldiers who can’t hold a melting candle to her. oversimplified, caricature depictions of people in a war, which in reality, was fought between equally shitty colonialist imperial powers and was more grey vs grey than anything else.
me personally? i sat through that nonsense and forgot about it within a day. except when people try to lecture me “it’s just a superhero film!! forget the politics!!” funny you say that for a medium based on nationalist pro-war propaganda since the very beginning.
and weirdly enough. that’s what wonder woman (2017) is. not only is it zionist (starring an unrepentant IDF soldier as the premier superheroine) americentric propaganda (condensing the nuances of world war i into some cheap “fantasy world war ii lite” copium), it feeds into the lie that, if you are a woman, whatever bad or morally dubious thing you do is not your fault and might even be called ‘empowering.’
because hey, “girls can do anything boys can! including heinous war crimes! more 👏female 👏 war 👏 criminals!! slayyyyy!”
hahaha…no. we already have various assorted scum around the world devaluing the lives of other humans. how is it any better if they are female?
tell me again how empowering your “strong independent woman” label is, when you end up on trial at the hague or come home with dehabilitating trauma and all of your limbs blown off.

Nazism and Zionism
Nazism and Zionism Their underlying motivations By James Jos. Kroeger
Both Zionism and Nazism are nationalist political movements which draw energy from their members' shared belief that they belong to a special breed of superior humans
And wouldn't you know it? Both of these sects of superior beings just happened to find themselves surrounded by groups of lesser beings whom they felt they were entitled--almost obligated--to exploit
Just branding these groups as evil is not enough. We need to take a long look at the motivations which inspire people to participate in these groups if we ever want to try to arrest their development in the future
Let us start from the most basic fact we know--from experience--about human social relations and that is that all humans are born with a fundamental [emotional] need for approval
Experience teaches us that the most fulfilling and moral way to get this need satisfied is by investing yourself in acts of kindness and generosity, which you know will instill feelings of gratitude [= approval] within the hearts of the recipients of your good will. The result: all involved are winners!
Unfortunately, most people are always trying to pretend that they don't have any need for the approval of others. Nevertheless, they still want to experience it, only without anyone taking notice of their own personal emotional vulnerability
They discover they can do this--achieve both goals simultaneously--if they invest themselves in group-identities and group-comparisons. Consider…
Whenever you hear a member of your group favorably compare your group to another group, you will perceive--because you identify with your group--that you just heard yourself being described in an approving way. Emotional need satisfied!
So if your group's leaders are pointing their fingers at some Lessers and are assailing them for their alleged sins, every enthusiastic member of your group understands that what they are hearing [indirectly expressed] is implicit approval of them
This perception generates emotional pleasure, a pleasure that can become truly addictive. Indeed, addiction is your fate unless your moral sensibilities kick in and you notice just how fundamentally immoral this kind of pleasure-seeking is
It is, in fact, a demonic approach to approval-seeking because it always relies on the victimization of others
This is key to understanding the ultimately malignant motivations which spawn supremacist groups like Nazis and Zionists
Their members' primary motivation is not a desire to be evil, but rather a desire to keep experiencing that pleasure they are able to give themselves whenever they denigrate others
Giving themselves permission to wallow in self-praise at a time of war can easily draw them into group participation atrocities, where they mock and fully dehumanize their declared enemy, simply to enjoy more moments of group-expressed implicit approval
They discover that the more brutally and sadistically they treat captured prisoners the more fortunate they feel to be members of The Superior Group that possesses all the power and 'cleverness' at that very moment. They'll smile at each other while they're treating their enemies like non-human Threat Things
Both KKK lynchings and the scenes we saw from Abu Ghraib were generated by supremacist groups who felt unrestrained while indulging in the most despicable form of approval-seeking that there is
If we want to save our world from the influence of these sadistic pleasure-seekers, we need to answer their words of [indirect] praise for "us" with terse criticism of their supremely wicked habits
Even while they are encouraging us with welcoming smiles to join their orgies of self-praise they need to hear from Moral Voices words of censure and outrage over their heartless and divisive methods of pursuing approval
They need to hear us demand that they rely only on moral methods of seeking approval, most especially the proven methods of generosity and kindness
Will there ever be a better way for the World Community to deal with the Supremacist Brand of social wickedness other than by completely ostracizing them?

i think about those Iraqi people that were so brutally tortured at Abu Ghraib
i see the faces of those american soldiers smiling in front of those people and i pray to a god i no longer believe in for them to suffer
it makes me so sick and i cry every time
and i know its happening in Palestine rn
the american government is behind it so if course it is
we have seen clips of the iof’s brutality
now think about what theyre hiding
and its most likely been happening for years
i see photos of the victims of Abu Ghraib and i want fo grab those soldiers and shake them and scream in their faces until i get that metallic taste in my mouth
“but theyre human, unlike you!”
those soldiers stripped the victims of their humanity and in doing do forfeited their own

The torturous treatment of Palestinians in Israeli military hospitals
Medical workers in Israel have told the BBC that Palestinian detainees from Gaza are routinely kept shackled to hospital beds, blindfolded, sometimes naked, and forced to wear nappies – a practice one medic said amounted to “torture”. A whistle-blower detailed how procedures in one military hospital were “routinely” carried out without painkillers, causing “an unacceptable amount of pain” to detainees.
Evil sadists wouldn't be an exaggeration at this point.

When the Nord Stream pipelines carrying natural gas from Russia to Germany were damaged last September, U.S. officials were quick to suggest Russia had bombed its own pipelines. But according to a new report by the legendary investigative journalist Seymour Hersh, it was the U.S. Navy that carried out the sabotage, with help from Norway. Citing a source "with direct knowledge of the operational planning," Hersh writes on his Substack blog that planning for the mission began in December of 2021. The White House and the Norwegian government have since denied the claims. Hersh joins us for an in-depth interview to discuss his report and says the U.S. decision to bomb the pipelines was meant to lock allies into support for Ukraine at a time when some were wavering. "The fear was Europe would walk away from the war," he says. Hersh won a Pulitzer Prize in 1970 for his reporting on the My Lai massacre. His reporting on CIA spying on antiwar activists during the Vietnam War era helped lead to the formation of the Church Committee, which led to major reforms of the intelligence community, and in 2004, he exposed the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal in Iraq.
