Brahmāstra Part One: Shiva Review No Spoiler + Spoiler

rating: 3/10

no spoiler review: The VFX was amazing. I genuinely have no words and insane respect for the VFX artists. Plot was kind of bad imo and it was more focused on getting from one point to the next and extremely focused on a romance with literally no chemistry.

aight so now we get spoilers.

There was literally no chemistry between Ranbir and Alia

THEY SAID THEY LOVE EACH OTHER AND ALL THAT BULLSHIT LITERALLY 3 DAYS AFTER THEY ACTUALLY EVEN MET AND LEARNED EACH OTHER'S NAMES TF

The dialogues were BAD. they needed better plot and dialogue writers. "Ameer hu nakli nahi." 🤡

The Nandi Astra when they actually did the VFX bull was SO PRETTY

BUT WHY DID THEY HAVE TO KILL OFF ANISH. I LIKED HIM HERE (a bit... still kind of annoyed it took anish THAT long to join the first fight scene w him in it)

Dev was literally just Arishem from Eternals

The whole Deva Deva song seemed like it used firebenders from Avatar as inspiration

THE BRAHMASTRA LOOKED LIKE THE CHROME LOGO (that's neither a good or bad thing I'm j putting it out there)

think of it like this. day 1: they actually met and went to shiva's house then Shiva had those visions. day 2: Isha's "don't hide anything from me me tere saath hu" + they go to Varanasi. day 3-4: they go to Himalayas and Shiva passes out. day 5: he wakes up and she leaves cuz the Guruji said so. 5 DAYS! HOW DID THEIR LOVE BECOME I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU????

SHAH RUKH KHAN'S CAMEO WAS SO GOOD GENUINELY. "bandarāstra" made me laugh

Junoon (Mouni Roy) was literally just Wanda. Wanda was influenced by the Darkhold and she was influenced by Dev (who I've already related to Eternals' Arishem)

The songs were good, just unnecessary. then again it's a Hindi movie and all Hindi movies have songs so I'll let that go ig. the only thing is there are some movies where it feels like the songs belong and move the plot along (anything Rajamouli or Bhansali) and this absolutely wasn't one of them

the OSTs were decent too tbh

idk what else to say tbh. I might add more later if I think of stuff but yeah if ur gonna watch it then watch for the VFX and cameos and expect a bad plot/dialogue.

the story

A boy named Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) grows up in an orphanage. His mother died in a fire when he was one year old. But the fire did nothing to him. He knows nothing about his father. With the events that happened between Dussehra and Diwali festivals, there is a suspicion that there is some secret in him that he does not know. It turns out that he has some powers that make him a warrior. It is known that Brahmastra, which is the ruler of all the astras, is divided into three pieces and each piece is close to each other. The men of Dev, a superpower who wants to rule the universe, search for the pieces of the Brahmastra under Junoon (Mouni Roy). Junoon discovers that one piece is with a scientist named Mohan Bhargava (Shah Rukh Khan) and another with an artist named Anish Shetty (Nagarjuna). Even Brahmansha Guru (Amitabh Bachchan) does not know where the third piece is. where is it Has Team Junoon Achieved Brahmastra? Who is the real Shiva? Where will his love story with Isha (Alia Bhatt) reach? These things will be known in the rest of the story.

The first part of 'Brahmastra' was a bit of a disappointment. There is nothing in this movie that we have not seen before. We have already seen many such stories, characters, scenes, events and action scenes. If you are an OTT viewer, you will see this as a joke. In 'Brahmastram' we will see the same things that we have seen in Marvel and DC Comics movies. That is.. the parcel is new but the item in it is old! Matter is weak! Visually, this movie is pleasing. Brahmastra movie review-Movie is made under the direction of Ayan Mukerji. You all will be shocked to know that, 39 years old director started working on this movie (Brahmastra) when he was only 25. Brahmastra part one almost took 5 years to complete. No doubt this movie is unimaginable and magnificent, plus giving competition to Hollywood. Movie story of course leading to the modern world but related to Hindu mythology, one of the three Supreme gods, Shiva. Trailer voice-over is done by none other than Amitabh Bachchan. Brahmastra history and how it is related to Shiva (Ranbir kapoor) Brahmastra is the weapon of lord Shiva and somehow is destined to Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor). Shooting was started on 1 February 2019 at Edinburgh, Scotland. 20 days schedule took place at Ramnagar Fort and Chet Singh Fort in Varanasi on 30 July 2019. Filming was brought to end on 29 March 2022 in Varanasi.

Croës, whose gallery in Belgium has a world-renowned reputation as an authority on ancient Chinese art, has selected forty outstanding works in bronze for this exhibition, ranging from the sixteenth century BC onward. In conversation with these antiquities are works by three contemporary artists. Three 2015 drawings by Richard Serra, Ramble 4-21, Ramble 4-23, and Ramble 4-34; an Anish Kapoor sculpture, Syphon Mirror-Kon, from 2005, made of lacquered synthetic wood; and Roy Lichtenstein’s Screen with Brushstrokes (1986) offset the solidity of Croës’s antiquities.
