Starter

Weeping Rose, a city of perpetual night, was a place of magic and wonder, but also of darkness and terror. Its streets were winding and labyrinthine, made of ancient stones that pulsed with an eerie energy. Towering spires and domed roofs loomed overhead, adorned with strange glyphs and runes that glowed with a sinister light.

The Quorum, a senate of 31 powerful wizards, ruled over the city with an iron fist, their word law. They were the masters of Weeping Rose, deciding what was permissible in the city and what was not. But even with their strict governance, the city remained a haven for magic-users of all kinds, where the laws of reality themselves seemed to bend to their will.

The marketplaces of Weeping Rose were a sight to behold, but they held dark secrets as well. Rare and valuable goods could be found there, things that were not available anywhere else in the world. But among them were items imbued with ancient power and books containing the secrets of forgotten spells, all sold to the highest bidder.

The city also held a darker side, with the slave trade of strange and wondrous creatures a common sight. But even that was overshadowed by the Tyler Estate, a prison where lawbreakers were sent to pay for their crimes. The Warden of the estate, known only as The Silencer, was a figure of terror, rumored to experiment on inmates and leave them irreparably changed.

Despite the dangers, Weeping Rose remained a place of fascination and enchantment. Those brave enough to venture into its winding streets and dark alleys would find themselves transported to a world unlike any other, a place where magic and terror were two sides of the same coin. ***

The Anti-Mage sat in the vast study, surrounded by towering stacks of tomes and ancient scrolls, feeling very much out of place in an office that was not his own. Weeping Rose trembled at the mere mention of his name, for he was the most feared mage hunter in the city. His reputation preceded him like a shadow, a warning to all those who dabbled in the cursed arts that he was coming for them, and he would show them no mercy.

The Anti-Mage's short magenta mohawk added a splash of color to the otherwise somber atmosphere of the room, a beacon of defiance amidst the darkness. His piercing purple eyes flickered around the study, attempting to distract himself as the time passed, for the waiting was always the hardest part. As he waited for The Silencer to arrive, the Anti-Mage could feel the ancient stones of the Estate pulsing with arcane energies, a reminder of the power that he hunted; It was a sensation he had grown used to by now but it never failed to make his skin crawl. Taking a deep breath, he steeled himself for the meeting to come, the power within the walls wavering as The Silencer drew closer.

When the Warden finally entered the room, the Anti-Mage rose to his feet, his serious demeanor in full display. His eyes met The Silencer's, and for a moment, the room was drawn into an almost uncomfortable quiet. The Warden of the estate was a man of few words, but his presence alone was enough to command respect. For they were two dark warriors, each one a master of their craft, united in a common goal: to stamp out the cursed arts that threatened to devour the world.

semi-dark king merlin au, someone from ealdor tells king cenred about merlin and he is captured and held as a slave in essetir. since merlin despises captivity and servitude, he’d rather be dead and free than alive and in chains so he acts out and pisses people (especially the king) off so they’ll think him too much trouble and kill him. at first they stick to beatings until merlin manages to get his chains around a few necks and now has a body count so they kill him…..only he wakes back up a few hours later and king cenred is Intrigued and keeps him close. merlin keeps acting out but no matter how many times they kill him, he won’t stay dead. merlin has this moment after waking up perfectly fine after his twenty seventh death where he is hopeless and believes there to be no escape, not even thru death. a few other sorcerers in chains come and help him clean up and give him a lil peptalk, realizing him to be emrys, and then they revolt and take over the kingdom and crown merlin as king and now uther is like “wtf” bc his neighboring kingdom who was kinda sorta on his wavelength about sorcery, though uther did not approve of keeping them alive, is now a kingdom ruled by magic. he goes to war with them but with magic running free and fucking emrys on the throne, they don’t make a lot of headway. anyways merthur meet on the battlefield, enemies to lovers, you get it
