Loved your latest chapter and Im so excited to see what happens under the mountain!
I was wondering if I could request a one-shot?(up to you how long and you can do it in your own time)something along the lines of:
Feyre( from either ACOWAR, ACOFAS or ACOSF) time travels back to ACOTAR, but instead of finding herself back in her human body i the spring court, she's still in her fae body and ends up trapped in velaris, having to explain to the rest of IC who she is and why she cant go free their highlord(add some mistrust from the IC)
🙈🙈Id its very similar to what youre doing rn with your other fic but, if you find the inspiration sometime could you please do this? Ive wanted to read a fic for ages were feyre rime travels and meets pre-acomaf inner circle who dont know/trust her, but Ive never found a fic like that
Thank youuu
Hi lovely anon! It makes me so happy you enjoyed my latest chapter! I’m supposed to be working on a project for uni, but I couldn’t resist gratifying my lovely friends (because you're anon and won't be notified I was getting sad at the idea of you checking my blog and not seeing me respond) <3 I’ll admit I’m a bit scatterbrained at the moment, so I hope it’s okay!
I was having trouble brainstorming a reason for Feyre getting sent back in time because I didn't want to borrow the reasoning from ACoFD. So I was vague and twisted the pre-existing rules around the Ouroboros, and ended up getting quite carried away with the story since I don’t like not giving things a happy ending (even though it’s a little cheesy, sorry)
Anyway, I hope this is what you were looking for! I know you wanted the angst of not being able to save Rhys but... I couldn't just leave my poor bat-boy behind, you know? ;)
Also if this didn't quite scratch that itch, I'm always happy to take more requests

The Ouroboros.
It was a massive, round disc—as tall as Feyre was. Taller. And the metal around it had been fashioned after a massive serpent, the mirror held within its coils as it devoured its own tail.
Ending and beginning.
From across the room, Feyre could not see it. What lay within.
She forced herself to take a step forward. Another.
The mirror itself was black as night—yet… wholly clear.
She watched herself approach. Watched the arm she had upraised against the wind and snow, the pinched expression on her face. The exhaustion.
She stopped three feet away. She did not dare touch it.
It only showed Feyre herself. Nothing.
Feyre scanned the mirror for any signs of… something to push or touch with her magic. But there was only the devouring head of the serpent, its maw open wide, frost sparkling on its fangs.
Feyre stared and stared, but all she saw was herself. There was nothing else. Then—
Feyre woke with a gasp, sitting up in bed to shake away the cobwebs of sleep and the strange, foreboding feeling that felt draped around her shoulders like a weighted cape, pulling her down. It hadn’t been a particularly horrifying nightmare. In fact, it was perhaps of the tamer dreams she’d had in the last year.
Yet something about it clung to her, perhaps a lingering agitation that she’d yet to retrieve the mirror the Bone Carver had requested. That must be it.
The bed space beside her was cold. The sun peaking through the window was not high, it couldn’t be long past dawn. However worrisome her own dream, her mate’s must have been worse to draw him from sleep so early. Worse still for him to sneak away.
Feyre rose from the bed, reaching absently for Rhysand’s dressing robe to wrap around herself. She always loved to steal her mate’s clothes, to be wrapped in his scent.
With gentle steps, she made her way to the study, where she could only assume Rhys had sequestered himself in the lone hours of the night. She’d noticed the weary draw to his shoulders, the dark circles under his eyes. This war was weighing on him heavily, and he was nervous. Feyre wished he didn’t insist on shouldering the burden alone.
“Rhys?” Feyre called softly as she got to the study, knocking on the door before she cracked it open.
Peeking her head around the door, she was met with the sight of Rhysand’s abandoned study. The scattered papers and war maps that had become characteristic of his desk space were surprisingly missing. In fact, the whole space had been cleared away and there was a thick layer of dust on every surface as if no one had been in here in years.
Feyre frowned at the sight, and how different it had been just the day before. Where had all the dust come from? And more importantly, where was Rhys? Perhaps he’d taken a morning flight to clear his head.
Where are you, love? She called to him through the mating bond, but was met with silence.
“Who are you?”
The voice was cold and venomous. Feyre turned, coming face to face with Mor, whose face was twisted into a threatening scowl.
“Mor?” Feyre asked, confused by her friend’s cold demeanor. “What do you mean? Have you seen Rhys?”
Mor’s face turned deadly, a look Feyre had only ever seen from Mor in the Court of Nightmares. “Is that some kind of joke?” she snarled.
Then, before Feyre could process what was happening, Mor had gripped onto Feyre’s wrist and they were enveloped in darkness. They stepped into the House of Wind, into the dining room where Cassian and Azriel abruptly stood up.
“Mor?” Feyre questioned when the blonde didn’t release her steel grip. She looked to Cassian and Azriel quizzically. “Guys? What’s going on?”
Cassian crossed his arms, assessing Feyre with a hostility that put her on edge. “Who’s this, Mor?” he asked gruffly.
Feyre frowned as she watched Azriel reach for Truth-Teller.
“Is this a joke?” she asked, flitting her eyes to each of her friends. Where she sought that friendly warmth in each of their gazes she was met with hard stares, filled with distrust, ready for a brawl. She couldn’t make sense of it. Was this an act Rhys had put them up to?
“I found her in the townhouse,” Mor said. “I don’t know how she got in there. She was in Rhysand’s study.”
“And she’s wearing his dressing gown,” Azriel noted dryly. Cassian did a double glance, his eyes going wide, then narrowing with a rage Feyre had never seen from the male. Certainly never directed at her.
There was a whisper of shadow, then suddenly Azriel was behind her, Truth-Teller poised at her throat.
Feyre startled. “Azriel!” she said sharply. Even if it was a joke, Feyre couldn’t imagine Rhysand would sanction this kind of threat. And the energy in the room was off, the tension too thick. “Stand down.”
“And who are you,” he breathed in her ear, his voice coated in shadow and nightmare, “to command the Shadowsinger of the Night Court?”
“I’m your High Lady,” Feyre answered steadily, not letting Azriel’s shadows, nor cunning voice, shake her resolve. “Now, I don’t know what is going on with the three of you, or what strange joke you’re trying to pull, but you will listen to what I say. Put. Your. Knife. Down.”
“High Lady?” Cassian repeated with a snort of disbelief. “You’ve got balls, little girl.”
Truth-Teller danced across the skin of her neck, pressing lightly enough to intimidate without breaking skin. “Do you even know to whom you speak? You should be bowing before the acting Queen of the Night Court.”
Too stunned to properly resist, Azriel kicked his feet out to knock Feyre to her knees in front of Mor. His fingers slid into her hair, gripping it tightly to pull her head back as Truth-Teller resumed its threatening position at her throat.
“Breaking into the High Lord’s personal residence, impersonating a high position within the Night Court, lying to the Morrigan’s face,” Azriel listed, increasing the pressure of the blade with each transgression. “You throw our High Lord’s generosity and protection in his face, something we as his acting Court do not take lightly.”
“Acting court? Acting Queen?” Feyre repeated, feeling as if she’d woken to a different reality. “What are you talking about? Where’s Rhysand!?”
“We’re the ones asking the questions here,” Cassian growled.
Feyre looked to each of her friends, studying their faces. Beyond their militant expression, she could see their grief. Could smell it. She repeated, “where is Rhysand?”
She felt the snarl that rumbled through Azriel’s chest behind her, vibrating against her back. When the question was once again unanswered, Feyre abandoned all sense of patience.
Darkness exploded through the room. She heard Mor gasp as the walls of the House shook from the might of her power. Feyre folded into the shadows, winnowing out of Azriel’s grasp so she stood in the center of the three of them.
“Az, Cass, Mor, you are my friends and I do not want to hurt you. But I am also your High Lady and you will answer me this instant, where is Rhys? Where is my mate!?”
Siphons gleamed red and blue through the thick tendrils of night, illuminating the Illyrian males’ faces. Cassian’s jaw had fallen open, while Azriel was studying her through narrowed eyes, wisps of shadow surrounding him. Feyre wondered what they were whispering to him.
“Mate?” Cassian echoed, the first to break the heavy silence.
Mor took a cautious step forward, her countenance completely changed. Her pupils were blown wide, twin brown depths churning with sorrow and gentle astonishment. Azriel went rigid at Mor’s approach, but no one moved to stop her as she came face to face with Feyre.
“Where did you get this?” she whispered, taking Feyre’s left hand, eye fixed on her mating band. On the sapphire-star ring that once belonged to Rhysand’s mother.
All eyes befell the subject of Mor’s attention. Cassian swore softly in recognition.
“It’s my mating band,” Feyre answered measuredly, still puzzled that the inner circle, her family, didn’t seem to have any memory of it. Nor of her. “I won it from the Weaver, as was the task set by Rhysand’s mother. But you were all there for that. I don’t understand what’s going on. Where. Is. Rhys?”
“Under the Mountain,” Mor whispered, her voice soft and pained.
The darkness ebbed away like a receding tide. Feyre felt her heart sink as she tried to process this information. “He—What?”
“He’s been Under the Mountain for the last 50 years,” Mor said, firmer this time. “And if you were his so-called mate, you would know that.”
“No,” Feyre said, shaking her head vehemently. “No, that’s impossible. We got out. We—”
This was a nightmare. It had to be a nightmare, and she just hadn’t woken up from it.
“Amarantha’s dead,” Feyre insisted, mostly in an attempt to console the unparalleled grief and panic that were raging inside her. “She’s dead, and Rhys and I got out.”
The grim faces of her friends said otherwise. They stared at her, in unbearable mixtures of pity and horror.
“I think she’s having a mental break,” Cassian said, not unkindly. “Should we get a healer?”
“Let me show you,” Feyre said meekly, casting her magic out to tap on their mental shields.
They all tensed, clearly not aware they’d been in the presence of a daemati. Trained well by Rhys, they all cracked their shields just enough for Feyre to send her conjured memories through. She showed them going Under the Mountain as a human, winning the trials and being resurrected, falling in love with Rhys, and eventually becoming High Lady of the Night Court. In turn, the three of them pushed back their own memories, of the current state of the world. Of Rhysand sacrificing himself so that his Court and Velaris would be safe.
A sob broke out of Feyre. “How is this possible? How am I here?”
It was Azriel who immediately went for the jugular. “More importantly, if you’re here as a High Fae, how is Rhys going to get out? How do we stop Amarantha?”
Feyre fell to her knees, grief-stricken by this realization. She was no longer human. She couldn’t stride in as Tamlin’s human lover and undergo the trials. Feyre had her powers, but they were untested. Would she be able to take on the whole of Amarantha’s court?
“What do I do? How do I save him?” she whimpered, staring in mute horror at her mating band.
Mor tentatively reached forward, laying a comforting hand on Feyre’s shoulder. “Rhys sacrificed himself to keep the people he loves safe. He wouldn’t want you getting yourself killed trying to save him.”
“I have to try,” Feyre answered desperately. “Amarantha she’s…” Feyre couldn’t bring herself to say the word, rape. Not to his family, who wear his sacrifice for them like an open wound. “She’s doing unspeakable things to him. He’s suffering so much. I can’t leave him to that fate. I have to try.”
With renewed conviction, Feyre accepted Mor’s outstretched hand and picked herself to her feet. “Rhys said it himself once. Amarantha’s biggest weapon is that she keeps the High Lord’s power contained. She can’t access them herself. But I… I have access to all the High Lords’ powers. And that bitch has my mate. My wrath will be plenty to take her down.” She faced her friends, who watched her warily. “You have my word as your High Lady,” she swore to them. “The High Queen of Prythian is going to fall by the night’s end.”
⟡⟡⟡
Winter had not yet fallen in the Mortal Lands. Feyre wondered if across the world, there was a version of herself curled in a bed with her sisters, clinging to any shred of warmth and survival.
That version of Feyre was very different from the version who strode up the sloping hills of the Spring Court with Azriel by her side. Rhys would be furious that Feyre had allowed him to accompany her. Should anything go wrong, it would destroy her mate to know his family had been put in harm's way after everything he’d done to protect them. Which was why it was only Azriel who came with, the only compromise she could reach with his Inner Circle, who insisted on coming with.
Who better to sneak into the Mountain with than the very soldier who taught Feyre the art of stealth. He was the obvious choice, since Mor needed to stay to rule the Night Court and Cassian was too heavy-handed to handle such a delicate task.
Their footfall was silent. Feyre wrapped them in the shadow of Night as they winnowed through the cave network. Her heart hammered in her chest, panicked to be back in the source of so many nightmares.
But Rhysand was more important than her fear. For him, she would not falter.
With the Shadowsinger by her side, Feyre snuck through the winding tunnels until she came to a familiar passageway. They slid into a massive, dark bedroom, lit only by a few candles.
To attack Amarantha in the throne room would be too messy. Too many variables to contend with, should Amarantha have enough wit about her to use any faeries as a shield. Especially Rhysand.
After several hours of waiting, the lock on the door clicked and swung open. Darkness swirled around the room as Rhysand took in the sight of Feyre and Azriel on the bed.
Immediately, the door slammed shut.
“No,” he whispered, voice dripping with horror. “No.”
“Rhys—” Feyre started, but her mate wasn’t paying any attention to her. He was looking at Azriel as if his whole world had shattered.
“Leave,” he said, his voice cold and commanding. This was no happy reunion between brothers. This was Rhysand’s worst nightmare. “Leave this instant, you stupid fool. That is, if you’re lucky enough to have avoided detection when you passed under her wards.”
“I took down the wards,” Feyre said. They weren’t particularly strong, either. Amarantha had gotten lazy, perhaps thinking herself secure with the only spell-cleaver under her control. Or so she believed.
Rhys turned that quiet fury towards her. “And who are you?”
“Your mate,” Feyre answered steadily, tipping her chin up.
Rhysand laughed. A desperate, humorless sound. “Then you are just as foolish as my idiot brother. And you have both sealed your deaths by being here. Do you understand that?”
Feyre scratched along those familiar adamantite shields. Rhys’s eyes flickered in surprise, but otherwise he looked unruffled as he cracked a sliver open for her.
It would be unwise to underestimate me, mate.
I wouldn’t be going around boasting about such a thing, if what you claim is even true, came his icy response. And I wouldn’t count on a few party tricks to save you, either.
And what if I told you, she purred, that I possess the power of all seven High Lords?
That, at least, garnered a reaction from the stoic male. He narrowed his eyes in disbelief, studying Feyre carefully. His gaze caught on her hands, at the lace tattoos that flowed to her fingers. And the mating band she still wore.
Feyre watched those violet eyes go wide, the silver constellations dancing in astonishment at the sight of his mother’s ring.
Where did you get that?
It’s a long story, love, but you’re going to have to trust me. She lowered her mental shields completely. Have a look for yourself. I’m telling you no lies. I am your High Lady, and I am here to free my husband.
She felt those familiar talons wrap around her mind. A foolish thing to do, to give a daemati unrestricted access to her mind. And if it were anyone but Rhys, it would have been. But his touch was gentle, and he took only the information he needed.
“I don’t understand how this is possible,” he whispered, breaking the silence of the room. Azriel had been waiting patiently, but looked relieved to be included in the conversation once more. “And I hate that you’ve put yourselves in danger for this, but it could work.”
Rhys considered for a long moment, then he looked between Feyre and Azriel and said, “do it when she’s sleeping. That bitch has been playing dirty for 50 years, you might as well level the playing field to give yourselves the best chance. Let’s do it tonight. I’ll leave the door unlocked, wear her out, and signal you once she’s asleep. Her spell prevents me from harming her, but I’ll make sure she’s restrained. All you have to do is drive the ash dagger through her heart, but have your magic ready for damage control.”
⟡⟡⟡
Feyre and Azriel waited in Rhysand’s bedchambers for his signal. There was a revelry tonight, as there was every night Under the Mountain, and Rhys was expected to be in attendance. Afterwards, he’d join Amarantha in her bed and make sure she was, in his words, “thoroughly exhausted”.
It was torturous for Feyre. To know exactly what the implication in those words were, to have to use her mate’s body in such a way. She wanted to roar at the Mountain, at the Cauldron, at anything that would listen, but instead she was next to the quiet, brooding Shadowsinger, and lamented in silence.
She’d begged Rhys to reconsider, to perhaps help them stage a more physical encounter that didn’t rely on his own suffering. But he’d denied any plan but the one he’d proposed, insisting it would cause him more anguish to but Feyre and Azriel in harm's way.
So they waited the long, agonizing hours until she felt a delicate pull at her chest. She’s asleep, Rhys called. Be on your guard.
He sent her directions to Amarantha’s bedchambers. There were guards outside, but Feyre and Azriel winnowed past them, cloaked in night and shadow.
Amarantha’s bedchambers were huge. Feyre had never been inside them before, but she was unsurprised to see they provided any luxury a High Queen could wish for.
Atop a large bed of red, silken sheets, lay her mate and Amarantha, both stark naked. The smell of sex clung to the air, Rhysand and Amarantha’s scents intertwined. Feyre thought she might be sick.
Even more sickening was the sight before her, of Amarantha’s arms restrained to the headboard in cloth. A clever way for Rhys to restrain her under the guise of sex, but horrifying nonetheless, to see the proof of what they’d been up to. The female was fast asleep, so convinced of her authority that she could fall asleep tied-up and not feel vulnerable doing so. How satisfying, Feyre thought, that such arrogance would be her downfall.
Feyre warded the room, putting up a shield of darkness so that no sound would break through to alert the guards. Rhys watched their approach warily from where he perched beside Amarantha, so still Feyre was convinced he held his breath.
He wouldn’t risk moving to wake her up, which terrified Feyre. Should something go wrong, her mate would be susceptible to Amarantha’s wrath. Naked, vulnerable, and completely under her control. It was such a dangerous game they were playing.
The room was as quiet and still as the bewitching hours of the night, their footsteps silent as they picked across the room. Azriel held the ash dagger. If Rhys could not kill Amarantha, his brother wanted to do it on his behalf. Meanwhile, Feyre summoned tendrils of night that carefully wrapped around Amarantha’s legs, slithering up her body like a snake, ready to constrict and restrain.
The female stirred in her sleep, perhaps feeling the ghostlike touch of Feyre’s magic. But she did not wake. Not as Azriel raised the dagger over her chest, and not as he plunged it down.
Amarantha’s eyes shot open as the dagger pierced her chest. She let out a shriek of agony and ire, moving to claw at her attacker. She raged against the restraints, spewing obscenities until they died at her lips as the blade sunk into her heart.
Rhysand’s chest was heaving as he watched the female still, then slump. He looked from her dead body, to Azriel and Feyre.
Feyre’s heart sank as she watched her mate process that it was truly over. There wasn’t a trace of elation in his eyes at being liberated, but she understood why. Rhys would finally be returning home, but as a much different man than the one he had been. He’d survived, but not unscathed, and he’d need time to process this.
Feyre came to him, reached towards her mate with the hand that bore his mother’s ring. Rhys looked to it, then up to her. His eyes were clouded with sorrow, with a melancholy she could only hope to chip away at in time. But she could see stirring beneath it was a breath of hope, perhaps the first he’d allowed himself in a long time.
“Let’s go home, Rhys,” she said gently.
Slowly, Rhysand nodded, moving to grasp her hand. She felt him jolt at the touch and, as she glanced at him questioningly, she saw his lips part in wonder.
I suppose you weren’t lying about being my mate, he whispered, the words a sensual brush in her mind. Thank you for coming to rescue me, High Lady.
Feyre grasped onto Azriel, and together the three of them stepped into darkness.
Then, they were above the House of Wind, tumbling through the night sky. Feyre unfurled her wings before Rhys could move to catch them, worried that her mate would struggle after 50 years without flight.
Both males stared in astonishment at the sight. Rhysand’s eyes danced in awe as Feyre, albeit clumsily, carried them to the training ring on the roof.
Rhys snapped his own wings open as they landed. Feyre watched him tilt his head back in rapture as he felt the wind against his wings for the first time in decades. Then he opened his eyes, his expression shifting to reverence as he beheld the night sky.
“I was beginning to think I’d never see it again,” he whispered, his voice a heartbreaking blend of exaltation and disbelief. “And for this gift… for my salvation to be courtesy of my mate and of my brother… I’m a bit overwhelmed,” he admitted sheepishly.
Feyre hesitated. If this was the Rhysand from before, the one to which she was mated and married, she would come to comfort him. But this version of Rhys had only just been freed from enslavement, and she didn’t know what he needed.
As though sensing her hesitation, Rhys cast his eyes back to the sky. “I know they’re all waiting for me downstairs, but I’d like a little bit of time with the stars. Will you let them know, Az?”
Azriel nodded, though he seemed conflicted. His reunion with his brother was perhaps not as merry as the male had expected. But right now, she knew the Inner Circle would hardly deny Rhys anything. Perhaps for a long while yet. So Azriel headed downstairs to inform their friends, who were sure to be anxiously awaiting their arrival.
Rhysand regarded Feyre carefully once the two of them were alone. “Mate and High Lady,” he mused. “You seem to wear many hats.”
“You forgot ‘wife’,” Feyre said lightly.
“Yes, and ‘Salvation’, ‘Queen Killer’, ‘Most Beautiful Female in Prythian’, it seems there’s many things I could call you. Could we start with your name, perchance?”
Feyre was shocked. She’d assumed he’d taken such information out of her mind earlier, but it seems he’d been even more respectful than she’d expected.
“Feyre,” she answered. “My name is Feyre.”
He looked wonderstruck. “Feyre,” he repeated, testing the name on his lips. A gentle smile curled at the corners of his mouth, the first she’d seen from him yet. He extended his hand towards her. “Would you like to watch the stars with me, Feyre?”
It was an offer she couldn’t refuse. Her hand found his with all the casual grace of a dancer, as if it were a routine they’d been perfecting their whole lives. Their fingers interlocked and as one, they stared up at the dazzling night sky.
This reality wasn’t perfect, Feyre thought. This Rhys was different from her own, and he still had a lot of healing to do. But if she could be there for him, to help him in a ways she hadn’t before, then she would be grateful to the strange eddies of the Cauldron for bringing her here. For allowing her to end his torment early. For giving them this extra time.
She watched a shooting star dart across the sky and smiled as it passed. There was nothing she could wish for except that her mate find peace in all that he’d endured the last half century.
His deep, velvety voice cut through the silence. “Do you often wish on stars, Feyre?”
She glanced at him out of the corner of her eye. He was watching her with a heart-wrenching wistfulness.
“Only when I have a wish worthy of the stars.”
“And do you?”
Feyre looked to the northernmost star, which shined brightest in the sky. “I wished for a light in the darkness,” she told him. “I don’t think the stars would ever begrudge such a wish.”
Rhysand nodded solemnly. “It’s true that they would be begrudging themselves in doing so. But I see no need for you to wish for such a thing.”
Feyre looked to him. He was still watching her, but something in him had shifted. He was smiling at her gently, that lingering sadness already receding. “Why’s that?” she asked cautiously.
That gentle smile widened, showing off his brilliant teeth. “Why, Feyre, to find such a thing, all you’d need to do is look in a mirror.”

Summery- Bucky returns home after a mission, and makes some slight changes. Soft, Sweet, Flashbacks in italiacs. Written for @star-spangled-man-with-a-plan Stars Follower Celebration. The prompt- “Im never letting you leave this bed again” Thank you @curtisbbq for letting me borrow your idea.

Bucky returned to the compound, dirty, rough around the edges, and just fucken damn glad to be home. What an odd thought, he really start to feel like this was home, YOU were home. The first time since he left for the army way back when, now he had a place to settle down, let himself explore something he had yearned for for a lifetime to most.He was home, he had to admit being able to get used to this.
Following Sam to weapons lock up, he just replaced most of his tactical gear, the weapons, well they were his babies, and all needed to be personally attended to, cleaned before he could in good concious put them in the lock up. Sam slammed the cage door after putting away his Falcon Wings when he looked over at Bucky.
“You know, you might wanna clean up before going up to Y/N, especially your hair man.”
Bucky really didnt know what he was going on about, but reaching up, he could feel the rats nest of tangles that formed, 2 weeks in some remote bum fuck area being shot at would do that. And honestly he was ripe, it probably wouldnt do well for the upcoming reunion between the two of you.
“Trust me, your not any better off.” Bucky retorts back, locking his own cage door, and headed towards the showers.
“The ladies all love me!” Sam called to Buckys retreating back, chuckling in amusement, opting to head back to his own apartment. After the couple weeks they been with each other every waking moment, they both needed a break from one another.
After his shower Bucky stood at the mirror, alone in the facility, and the mess that showed back in his reflection made him wince. Sure the bruises and cuts, not a big deal. He would heal from those fairly quickly. He managed to work out the mess of a knot, It looked just like himself looking back, but he wasnt seeing James “Bucky”  Buchanan Barnes, no, he still saw The Winter Soldier, the man with an unknown number of kills under his belt.  But he knew... He remembered every single one. The knowledge brought him the greatest grief, it was heavy on his shoulders, even with the vibranium arm holding him up. It made his physical aches pale in comparison,
Nearby his phone gave off your ringtone, and he snapped back out of his thoughts, glancing down to see a picture of you two lighting up the screen, and suddenly that heaviness was gone.
You were playing music on your phone as the two of you walked the compound grounds after a long exhausting day. Honestly Bucky would have been content to crashing on the couch to reruns of Bobs Burgers, you always would giggle during that dumbass show. But you insisted on this first. “Please Bucky, just a quick walk down to the river” He relented, you did ask so nicely. His arm rested lightly around your hip as you would sweep down to pluck a flower and twirl it in your fingers before twisting it into the crown of your head.
“Where the brave are free and lovers soar Come ride with me to the distant shore We won't hesitate to break down the garden gate There's not much time left today Life is a highway I want to ride it all night long...”
You phone sang and you plucked it out, opening the camera as you moved behind him, jumping up on his back, catching Bucky by surprise, his arm shoots behind to help hold you up.
“Smile Barnes!” Resting your chin atop his head, and his eyes rolled up in a exasperated look, the corner of his mouth coming up in a grin at you. You wrapped your legs tighter around his waist and slid down a bit, like a hug from behind, and nuzzled your face against his own.
God Damn He loved you.
You gave him joy
‘Heard your FINALLY are back. See you tonight when I get home. Im gonna blow this popsicle stand early. Picking up chinese. Dont worry, Im going to get that orange chicken extra spicy. Cant wait to see you. Love you Sargent. XOXO’
And ahh, there it was, Home. He thought seeing your message, the way you were all about blowing off the rest of your day to come back, taking care of him picking up his favorite guilty pleasure, and the way you insisted on calling him Sargent, even before the two of you started taking your friendship further. Simply setting his phone down, his gaze lifted back to the mirror, and thats when he decided he wanted to bring Sargent Bucky Barnes back. Collecting a hair clipping kit from the shelf, he got to work.
Waiting for the elevator to bring him up the flights, his hand went to brush through the shortly cropped hair, it was a bit more in style with today, a mess of tufts atop his head, it was different, it would be different for you. You were so used to the longer look and always told him how you loved them. Hell the first time you two started hanging out, you snuck in his room and braided it just for the hell of it much to his horror. How would you react to this? The elevator buzzed open and he went down the hall to your shared apartment, the door locked.
Digging out his keys, they clink against the vibranium of his hand letting him know he had them in his grasp and pulled them out of his jeans pockets, getting the door unlocked, and stepping inside, its all quiet. Usually you had a bit of music playing of some sort in the background. He never knew what it would be, you were set on giving him an education of lyrics and tunes. So far he had no complaints with your choices. Dropping his keys in the bowl you kept as your “Keep all the shit off my kitchen counter” bowl, he went to go see what you were last playing for music. Picking up the ipod you so lovingly cherished, he pressed play. And guess what the song was.
Disney. Lion King to be exact. You had just gotten out of the shower and were singing to Hakuna Matata, and Bucky had been stretched out on the end of the bed, watching you in the steamy bathroom, wriggle your hips as you pull your panties up over your ass “When I was a young warthoooog!” Bucky broke out in laughter right here, pushing himself up to sit and you pulled one of his shirts over your head as you left the bathroom, continuing along with your song, and cupping his face, looking down at him.
“It means no worries For the rest of your days It's our problem-free philosophy Hakuna Matata!”
You wink at him and kiss his forehead, his arm lopes around your hip, drawing you to sit in his lap, kissing in the curve of your shoulder and neck, placing feather light nips and trace of his nose along the softness, inhaling your honeysuckle softness. You trail fingers along his shoulder and nuzzle into him, enjoying the early morning moment, before the day truly started.
“We should adopt that philosophy you know” You say chuckling as your still humming the tune softly, swinging your legs that dangled over Buckys lap. “Means no worries, no worries about us showing up to work on time.” He chuckles against your shoulder and lifts his head to kiss your lips, playing at nipping between tangling of tongues and pulling away. “And have Sam come barging up here demanding to know where my ass was not down training the new recruits? He wouldnt know where to start with this group.” You scoff with a roll of your eyes, and nudge him to fall back, straddling his hips and running hands up his chest. “You think Im scared of the Falcon, bring it Oversized Pigeon.”
Fuck he loved you.
You gave him so much laughter.
Turning it up further, he went to go grab a beer from the fridge and with a twist, he flung the cap into the disposal, taking a drag off it. He never knew he would enjoy these craft beers you insisted on buying cause “There seasonal bits of goodness, let me have my weakness... well one of my weakness” A very obvious salacious wink thrown his way. A lick of his lips cleared any residue on the beer and he was about to check his phone to see if you sent him another message, usually you were good about blowing it up when he heard the door handle click open, and with your usual gusto of chaos, swept in. Your keys missed the bowl, of course. You never actually followed your own rules. And a quick kick sent sneakers flying off your feet. “Bucky Baby, that better be you. If it isnt, im about to whoop ass on whomever it is.”
You come around the corner and dump the bags of chinese on the counter, still not having seen Bucky, but you caught sight of a flash of him over your shoulder, in the living room. You couldnt wait to see your man, it had been so long, and Fuck you just missed him. Tossing everything else down on the counter, hell you were all about breaking rules, especially your own, your turn on the balls of his feet, calling him again “Bucky Barnes, I so- “ Cutting yourself off immediately when you step into the living room and your mouth hangs open a bit in surprise. Self consciously he touches the top of his head.
“You... You cut your hair!” It was said in surprise, pure surprise. Its not like normally something like this would surprise you with a regular person, this was Bucky Barnes, the man who tried to stay as routine as possible for the simple fact it was that he was in complete control of himself, and that is what he was all about. You had never seen him even have the desire to cut his hair, ever.
“You like?” His voice is soft, almost a child like softness to it, and a worried look on his face, like maybe he made a mistake? You give a shake of your head, and that surprise looks fades into an excited one, crossing the room to reach him.
“Baby, fuck I LOVE IT”
You two are driving, no where in particular. You were restless, the hot sunshine weather making you itch to go for a drive, Imagine Buckys surprise when you held up a pair of keys to Tonys Acura Nsx, wiggling brows at him.
“Is that... Starks keys?” Bucky questioned when you tossed them at him, wrapping your arm around his and tugging him along.
“Yup, ssshh, we will bring it back. Were just borrowing it. For the day.”
“You know your starting to remind me of Steve.” He accused as you two entered the garage, and he opened the convertibles door for you, slipping inside.
“Sorry baby, he doesnt borrow rigs this nice. Im a class all my own.” Giving him a smirk, you slammed the door shut and he just shook his head while circling to the drivers side.
Miles away, Bucky is loosening up to your little trip, your flipping the radio to some random station, singing along in that soft voice of yours.
“So baby pull me closer in the backseat of your Rover That I know you can't afford Bite that tattoo on your shoulder Pull the sheets right off the corner Of the mattress that you stole...”
Bucky glanced over at you while you were so lost in the moment, your feet were dangling out the door, you yourself were angled to lean into him, the aviator glasses slid down to the tip of your nose, and with a push of the button, you dropped the top down, your long tresses of hair whipping around you, you slid your hand into his and lifted it to your face, brushing his knuckles along the side of your face, your eyes sparking over the glasses at him. His foot pushed onto the gas, and the the Acura sped up, taking you two anywhere and nowhere at the same time, it didnt matter anymore what the plan was.
Chaos and All, he loved you.
You gave him adventures.
“Do you?” Relief crossing his face and easing the tension he held, your hands immediately brushing into the soft locks of hair, marveling now at how soft they were, sprigs popping in between fingers and you bit your lip, eyes shinning up at him, in a playful manner, you gave a slight tug and stepped in closer to him.
“Bucky, absolutely I do, this is the best surprise ever, even better then when you let me call you Bucky Bear in public.”
He rolled his eyes and snorted, tracing his hand over your hip to grasp your ass. “That was a one time thing, and the barista was clearly uncomfortable writing ‘Y/N’s Bucky Bear; on the cup.” Who is he kidding? He actually loved it and you knew it. You wiggle your nose at him and place a loving kiss on his lips.
“Yet you still allowed it. But why, tell me why the change?”
Tumblr media
How you managed to drag him to the museum display once again, he didnt know. But this seemed to be something you loved, the two of you walking quietly around the different exhibits. Reading over the information, and your questions would draw stories out of him that others didnt know, short of Rogers. His gaze would lift to the faces of his howling commando brothers, from a life time ago, and you would tumble into a decent part of his past. No, it wasnt perfect. There were hard memories edging the shadows of his mind, but you only encouraged the better parts, the parts he was proud to tell.
“It was our fifth hydra outpost, and the prisoners they had kept there were the rowdiest bunch. They drank all of us under the table that night in celebration. Short of Steve... poor guy couldnt even catch nothing more then a few minute buzz.”
You shake your head chuckling and wrinkle your nose at the idea. “Well that would suck, cant even get yourself a proper buzz, let alone drunk. I dont know, maybe the serum wasnt worth it.” Moving the two of you to the next display, and he caught a look on your face, and then turned his attention to what you were staring at. A picture of Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes, himself with a piece of his history. “This one here, my favorite display in here. You look so handsome, so proud.” Your head would rest on his shoulder. “But Im gonna be honest, your best picture is the one on my nightstand. They should have that in here.” One of all of you back at the compound, you and Natasha playing video games against him and Steve. in that photo he was laughing at something Natasha had said, a deep laugh, holding onto Steves shoulder as he doubled over.
He looked at the photo, tucking you in close to his side, but remained silent. That one on the wall was a life time ago, but yes, he was proud of who he was before Hydra.
Quietly, He loved you
You gave him Pride.
“It was just time for a change Y/N, time to say goodbye to that part of myself I just... I cant take any of it back, but I can move on from it. Im ready for our memories to be what I see in the mirror.” He confessed, his gaze falling down to look lower then in your eyes, and you, well damned if that man couldnt stir you to your soul.
Your hands cup his face to bring his gaze back up, kissing him fiercely, no hold back, all of it was just poured into this kiss to your Bucky Barnes, he accepted it. His arms pulled you up to wrap your legs around his hips, and a hand snaked up the back of your shirt, pressing the small of your back in flush against him, your chest crushing against his and your arms loped around his neck. Falling back against the couch, you arch up from where you were sitting low on his stomach, running your arms down his chest. “Get comfy Sergeant, Im never letting you leave this bed again.”
His brows lifted as his hands moved to lightly grasp your thighs on either side on his waist. “Baby, you know this is the couch....?”
“Shut up Barnes, we will make it to the bed eventually, now kiss me like you missed me, cause fuck I missed you!”
Always, He loved you
You gave him his Home.

title: Rebellion
Pairing: dean x reader
abo 2020 sq: alpha challenging alpha
fluff 2020 sq: thunderstorm
word count (optional):
summery: not telling
created for @spnabobingo @spnfluffbingo
normal… what was normal… what did you ever know about normal… you were an alpha, your pack already had an alpha one of you had to go…
you and Dean had been friendly rivals from the get go, but when you presented as an alpha he didnt know what to think…
you both had to grow into the roles, reach your 21st birthdays before the council of wolves would have you both fight for the rite of Alpha, where the looser would become an omega… no two alphas can co exist in one singular pack…
you were one of those types of wolves whose breeding had not been thourally instilled… you had always been told that you would one day have to fight for the rite to lead the pack.
to be the one that makes all the calls for every single decision that the pack needs to make. Dean and you were hanging out the night before this tragic event would take place…
Dean: “when you presented as an alpha i was shocked… my friend was an alpha… the girl that i have a crush on is an alpha…”
dean now realizing what he said was now looking at you with slight amounts of plotting anad seduction written clear cross his face. he didnt want this event to take place either…
YN: “what if you claimed me? would they still make us battle for the alpha rite?”
Dean: “i have no idea but why would you…”
You now were kneeling in front of him, looking straight into his eyes as he smiled…
YN: “cause im in love with you… i cant see myself being with any one else for the rest of my life… its you Dean its always been you…”
Dean: “what makes you think they would be okay with any of that? i mean they always taught us to be fierce and reveered… but if we told them we were in love wouldnt that technically be grounds for execution…”
YN: “i dont care i mean if you pin me and then wait for the 5th strike of thunder, i would technically be omega and then you just claim…. wait a second… what if you claimed me during the fight like we rebel… but this would have to be done between the 2nd and 5th lightning strikes…”
Dean pulled you into his lap and smiled as he planted a soft and gentle kiss to your lips… the idea of rebellion during this most fantastic event would go down in history as the first alphas challenge to go through rebellion…
staying in that grove it was peaceful not to be around everyone else… the pack was getting a little annoying what with everyone getting stuff ready and betting on who woul win the event…
quite frankly you and Dean were quite happy being together in that grove… that is till the sky darkened… when it darkened you both werent disturbed right away but then the council guard bursted through the clearing…
they grbbed you and Dean seperating you both from eachother dragging you guys back to the arena where the event would soon take place… you and Dean fighting the guards began immediately trying to claw your way back to eachother… but they stuck you both in the cages beside one another leaving you both alone…
YN: “dean…”
Dean turned his attention to you and moved closer to your cage…
Dean: “im so sorry about this YN… if we were smart we would have ran away from all of this… self exile type thing… we could have started a pack all our own and no one would have ben able to stop us…”
Dean was now holding your hand as you were his through the cages you both plotted schemed and trying to make sure you were on the same wave length before the guards would come back and take you both into the arena and force this ceremony upon you both…
YN: “as long as we stick to the plan we should be good.. the plan should work…”
Dean: “YN, what if this rebellion thing doesnt work?”
YN: “then you need to take the rite, become the alpha… knock me out and claim the alpha spot… you deserve it more than i do…”
Dean: “i will ensure it doesnt come to that, if we stick to the plan we will reign forever together… i will claim and mate you during this shit show if i have too… just to prove a point…”
You smiled blushing as you both continued to hold hands trying to stay calm that is till the guards actually came through the door… they once again pulled you both away from eachother…
~The hardest thing to do is to be forced to fight the one you know you are meant to be with…~
They dragged you both in electronic chains to the arena… they tossed you both into the opening and made their ways out of the arena… it began to thunder and rain, but you got up starring at Dean who could only stare at you with love reflecting in both of your eyes…
Dean: “we wont do it…”
YN: “we wont participate in your sick games…”
Dean: “this council is blinded by the traditions of old.. if they took one moment if any of you took a good look at my relationship with YN anyone would see that we love eachother and have for years… today when we were in the grove, we almost mated… we wanted to.. but if none of you are gonna listen to reason right now then maybe this will change your minds…”
You stood to your feet as Dean did the plan now fully in motion… the chains that bonded both of your hands fell to the floor. The crowd of people who obviously not listening to reason, had to witness this entire charade to ensure that no one ever questioned you guys judgement again…
Dean: “you wanna be alpha i dont think so…”
YN: “your the love of my life but the rite of alpha is my birthright…”
Dean: “bring it on babe!”
You lunged straight at him knocking him on his ass before you could fully vault over him and land he grabbed hold of your foot and swung you to the ground, you flipped over and for the next little bit it was counting the lightning strikes…
One strike was when you became the pinner again… strike 2 was deans dominance, strike 3 was you then when strike 4 hit, dean had you pinned he switched positions so you were on your knees and he was standing…
Hjs hands turned to claws, his teeth to fangs his voice deepen to the deepest you had heard it in the longest time…
Dean: “at last i am gonna be the only alpha in this god damn fucking pack…”
Dean pulled your head to the side exposing your neck as he was about to intact the final part of the plan… but the council members watched this play out and had a few things of their own to say…
Council member 1: “no…”
Council member 2: “is he gonna do it?”
Council leader: “guards get down there and stop them…before he claims her…”
The guards got down there but it was too late for as soon as they entered, dean sunk his fangs into your neck and claimed you… the entire council was shocked, the leader was angry, the people who had raised both of you were shocked but happy for the 2 of you…
The guards backed away careful not to get too close for they all knew that once your claimed the one who claimed you would go wild trying to protect you… Dean pulls back as the 5th bolt strike…
he lets out a huge earth shattering roar… this made every single omega and beta in the entire arena submitted, your body became putty in Deans arms… you were conscious but you knew who your mate was..
Dean shifted back to normal, scooped you into his arms and walked both of you out of the arena and into the medical area… laying you  a bed he goes to get the first aid kit. He comes back to sit behind you to patch you up…
Dean: “well rhe plan worked… or so it seems…”
YN: “i feel strange my body is reacting to your touch more than it did before…"
Dean: “I love you YN! Now shall we go walk through the streets back to search of a place that we may soon call our own…”
You stretch slightly still feeling strange you nod getting up back on your feet. Dean held your hand, both of you walked out of the medical area, feeling the eyes of many upon your forms.
The council blocked the exit from the arena… you both were not sure what to do, but if they followed the laws no one could be able to hurt either of them…
Council leader: “you both violated the event, the sacred rite set out in the laws of our forefathers, we are ashamed but since you both want to defy the laws i guess we have no choice… either you guys send yourselves into exile or by the laws of the forefathers and marry then consummate the marriage, it would be by that act of marriage that you both would not be shunned by the entire pack… the choice is yours but your families have wanted to see you both for a little bit now… go to them and make known of your decisions to us soon…”
Dean and you stood tall and watched the guards and council members move away from the door allowing you both to exit. You both then head to find your families. Knowing that soon your decisions would come into the light…
your mom: “we are all on the same page about what happened at the arena, but we want you both to know that whatever decision you both…”
Dean: “we love eachother very much and i think i speak for both of us when i say that we just want to make a life together for ourselves, we only did what we did during the rite cause we thought the council would see reason…”
his mom: “we know that i know you both will be very happy together… we also have something that we hope will help… we recently purchased some land close by, there is a structure on the land, the deed is in your names. Your father's are already moving in some of your stuff, and they are just finishing the glossing on the bed frame, they also got a mattress and built a bunch more furniture its the perfect place combining what the both of you are. we are all very proud of the wonderful people you both have become and really proud of how you both stood up to the council. they are steamed but once they learn of your decision things will get easier i promise...”
You hold tight to Deans hands and smile slightly as you begin to speak...
YN: “mom and mom in law if i can call you that. can we level with you slightly? we want to get used to being bonded then decide for sure what we want to do... but we know one thing for sure we will not abandon the pack...”
Dean: “YN is the best part of me as i am of her... what she has said is as it shall be.. i assume that the council grilled you guys for information after the entire ordeal... look we know that we put you guys in quite the pickle... but right now we need you guys to not tell the council any of what we have spoken... we will head out now as dads have returned, im sure you both can have them understand why we didnt stay...”
Dean winks at your moms as they nod watching you and Dean get up from your seating and walking out the back door. the most difficult part of growing up is knowing when to leave home and start a new life with someone you love.
this is exactly what you and Dean were doing... this is exactly what was happening. as you and dean followed your moms carefully laid out instructions it led you both straight to the house that your parents had put so much work into...
Dean: “the outside structure is amazing! i can see what they mean by it is a unique combination of both of us... now after you my dear...”
the last concious thought of both your minds was walking through the door of the house, everything after that was a blurr... neither of you would remember till mornings light... but thats a story for another time...

only for a moment [drake walker x mc]
Pairing: Drake Walker x MC (her name is Camille in my choices game so she is called that in this short).
Sypnosis: Drake is sitting alone in the ballroom watching Camille. After a conversation with Olivia, he finds himself alone with Camille and shots of whiskey. Things get emotional and... heated.
Tumblr media
Drake sat in the back of the room, closest to the door so he could make a quick escape. That had been his plan to begin with. He hated these events and yet, whenever she was in the room, he felt as if he was glued to his chair. He couldn’t leave. He couldn’t help himself. Somehow, his eyes kept finding her amongst the hundreds of guests currently in the ballroom.
Camille was sat at a table near the front with Hana and Maxwell. From what Drake could see, Maxwell had made a joke which caused Hana to spit out her drink and as a result, Camille threw her head back and let out a throaty laugh that could be heard from around the room. Some of the nobles tittered and shook their heads. Drake rolled his eyes - let her laugh. Nobody else in court did. It was one of the things he loved about her. Drake sighed. He didn’t love her. He had to get that word out of his head.  Sighing, he brought the glass of whiskey he was nursing to his lips and took a long sip.  ‘Of course you are sat in the back,’ a voice said from above him. Looking up, he saw Olivia Nevrakis standing at his table. He groaned. ‘Olivia. To what do I owe the pleasure?’ She let out a hollow laugh and sat down on the chair beside him, a glass of champagne in her hand. ‘Ouch, a  thorny reception.’ Drake rolled his eyes and took another sip of whiskey.  ‘You are so obvious,’ Olivia said.  ‘Obvious about what?’ She ran a long finger along her champagne glass. ‘Her,’ she answered, tossing her head in Camille’s direction. Drake’s jaw clenched and he stared straight ahead. ‘Don’t know what you’re talking about.’  Olivia smiled like the Cheshire cat and reclined back in her chair, crossing her legs. ‘Camille has been here a month and your eyes  have been following her when she’s not looking. How cliche, the guy who is in love with his best friend’s girl-’ ‘She’s not his yet,’ Drake ground out. ‘The competition is still going. You’re still in the running to be Queen.’  ‘Ha!’ This time Olivia’s laugh was genuine.  ‘I may still be competing but I think we both know that Liam isn’t going to pick me. Liam loves Camille, you love Camille, everyone loves Camille but who does she love? Nobody dares to ask her that, do they?’ Drake’s eyes met Olivia’s. ‘What are you saying?’ She rolled her eyes and took a sip of champagne. ‘God, you’re dense. I’m saying that even though she is in the running, it’s clear that her heart may not exactly be in it. I know you both spend time together.’ ‘How do you know that?’ ‘I have my sources,’ she replied. ‘I like to think I had a hand in it.’ Drake frowned. ‘Excuse me?’ ‘That time at my lodge... in the snow... when I started antagonising you about your sister? You stormed out and she went after you?’ He stared at her. ‘You made sure she went after me?’ Olivia groaned. ‘You are so, so dense. I antagonised you for fun, though I was being serious, but I could see how much Camille kept looking at you when we were all together. Soooo... why not push you both together? I knew she wouldn’t be able to stand it while you ran away upset. Of course the two commoners feel an affinity for each other. I just needed a way to get her closer to you. Make her see there are other options out there that are not Liam. Quite clever, I say.’ Drake shook his head. ‘Or just twisted.’ Olivia shrugged, not caring. ‘You can’t say it didn’t work. You were both out there for a while. What were you doing? Cuddled up on the snow watching the stars?’ Drake’s face flamed.  ‘Oh. My. God,’ she stared at him, her mouth agape. ‘It was romantic! Oh Drake, you’re my new favourite person. Keep this going and Liam will be mine!’ Drake slammed his whiskey glass on the table.  He was aware that people who were in earshot were looking over but he didn’t care. ‘Don’t be so selfish, Olivia. Camille needs Liam, he can offer her so much and she would make a much better Queen than you!’  She glared at him. ‘But you would have her, I don’t see the problem.’ He sighed. ‘I have nothing to offer Camille. I wouldn’t want her to be shackled to me. All I’m good for is knowing where all the good dive bars are.’  He said this with such venom that Olivia drew back, her eyebrows raised. ‘Drake, I didn’t know-’ ‘Drake?’ Drake and Olivia looked up to find Camille at their table. Drake’s face paled. ‘Montespan! Uh.. what are you doing over here?’ She smiled warmly. ‘Checking to see if you wanted to join me for some shots at the bar?’ Olivia stood up, smoothing down her red dress. ‘That sounds disgusting so I’m going to help myself to more champagne.’ She walked away. ‘Well, Drake?’ Camille asked. He cleared his throat.. ‘Sure, let’s do shots.’ She grinned and slid her arm through his.
The bar was outside in the empty courtyard and when they descended the steps, the cold air hit them. Drake noticed her bare arms were covered in goosebumps. ‘Hey, Montespan,’ he said. ‘Take my jacket.’ He shrugged off his suit jacket and placed it over her shoulders. She wrapped it tight around her and shot him a grateful smile. ‘Thanks, Drake.’ They sat down on the bar stools and ordered two shots of whiskey each. ‘And one more of good luck!’ Camille said to the barman who poured them another shot each.  ‘Three huh?’ Drake asked. ‘You trying to get drunk?’ She winked. ‘Maybe I’m trying to get you drunk.’ He let out a chuckle and raised his glass. ‘To good luck,’ he toasted. Camille grinned and clinked her glass against his. He watched her as she settled into the stool and looked around the courtyard. Her hands were placed inside his jacket pockets, keeping warm. ‘You’re watching me, Drake,’ she suddenly said, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. Drake looked down at the ground before looking at her again. ‘Can’t help it.’ She blushed. He took a swig of his next shot. ‘Come on, Montespan. Keep up with me.’  Camille giggled and took her next shot. She closed her eyes as the whiskey warmed her chest. ‘This is nice.’  ‘Yeah, it’s good whiskey,’ Drake replied.  ‘I meant this. Your company. It’s nice. I like our times together.’ ‘How so?’ Drake took his next shot out of nervousness. Whenever she got talking about how nice it was to hang out, he wanted to tell her how much he liked it too. How it was the one thing that helped him get through these courtly events. He was always nervous he would say too much.  Camille bit her lip. ‘I mean, court is nice and all but it feels too much sometimes. I always worry I’m going to say the wrong thing or choose the wrong fork- why are there so many forks, Drake?!’ She said this last part as she laughed and Drake laughed with her. ‘No idea, Montespan.’ ‘Just being out here with you... it’s more relaxed. I can be the real Camille, the Camille from New York. I don’t have to watch what I say or do when I’m with you... you just help me be myself.’ She had her last shot and Drake noticed her hand was shaking. ‘Camille, are you okay?’ She nodded but tears had sprung up in her eyes. ‘What if I don’t want this life? This life where I could be Queen? What if I just want a life where I can have shots and relax and be myself and be with who I want-’ She stopped, clenching her glass. Drake moved closer to her and took the glass away from her. Her hand caught his and held on.  ‘Camille, are you okay?’  She looked at him and smiled weakly. ‘Sorry Drake. Maybe three is my limit.’ Their gazes stayed locked on each other. ‘We should get you to bed then, you can sleep it off,’ Drake murmured.  ‘What if I don’t want to sleep?’ ‘It will help you get over the whiskey,’ he said, his eyes studying her, taking her in. She sighed and climbed down from her stool. Drake led her back into the palace to her room.  They reached her door and Camille took his suit jacket off her shoulders and gave it to him. ‘Thank you for keeping me warm,’ she said softly.  He smiled. ‘It was nothing.’ Again, their eyes were locked on each other. Camille moved to open the door and before he could stop himself, Drake grabbed her hand and pulled her to him. Their lips collided and Drake felt her heart hammering against his chest. She tasted of whiskey and her hair smelled of coconut shampoo.  Her hands gripped his shoulders and before he could tell her this was a bad idea, she pulled him into the room with her. When he pushed her up against the wardrobe and picked her up so her legs wrapped around his waist, he no longer cared. For this, he would give up everything.  He would steal any moment he could just to taste her and feel her and pretend she was his, if only for a moment.

Locked in a focused near trance on your sketch pad you formed the comic strip repeating in your mind you were softly vocalizing for your phone propped up on the table in front of you. Through the face call you heard, “Please tell me you don’t plan on hiding in that hotel their whole trip.”
You shook your head, “Nope, I’m going to drop in at that shop in a couple days.” You glanced up returning a scrunched nose tongue extended expression in response to theirs Aidan clapped his hands over his mouth not to laugh at your adorable expression. “Hey! I made a new friend today. I am not sulking.”
Smugly the voice asked, “Real or imaginary?”
After a pause you averted your eyes back to the page mumbling, “Imaginary.” Only making the men looking on smile larger as you turned your sketch pad to the phone, “But look, he’s got a stick!”
The voice asked, “Is that raccoon facing a troll with a stick?”
You nodded lowering the pad again, “He hacks the troll across the face and it’s all, ‘Damn, you’re strong for a little thing.’ Plus he has some catchy phrases.”
“Oh yes like the line about the group of guys beating him up and the constant mentions of his testicles…Why do you draw that fodder?”
With a scoff you replied, “You know as well as I do I can’t just go around flashing the full design until the show gets picked up. Have to brainstorm discreetly.”
“Again, vampires aren’t that uncommon. I’m certain you can get away with it.”
You rolled your eyes, “You just don’t get it, it’s in my contracts, I can’t.”
A sigh came through the line as your fingers folded around your pen knowing what was coming next, feeling the tears already filling your eyes again remembering the news of your ex dying leaving you spending an hour crying in the bathtub as the guys were out. “I just don’t see what was so appealing-.”
“Lina-.”
“No let me-.” Promptly you ended the call and turned off your ringer making the phone buzz until you blocked her number and set the phone aside, mumbling, “There is nothing worse than seeing you get what you want.” Grabbing another colored pencil you added, “I don’t have enough middle fingers to let you know how I feel.” Turning back to your sketch, “I think I’m going to give this troll a bright red beehive hairdo and pointed glasses.”
The men couldn’t help at your determined furrowed brows adding the details to your strip. Dean gently rapped his knuckles on the wall drawing your eyes to the group that smiled crossing to you as Richard asked, “Couldn’t help but hear, you animate a vampire show?”
You softly blushed saying, it hasn’t gotten picked up yet, turning the book to the trio that leaned in and chuckled at the few strips you had as Aidan stated, “Well when it does let us know.”
Richard chuckled, “It looks fantastic. Even with the raccoon as the hero.”
Dean, “Who is the hero in the full show?”
“Don’t have a name yet but he’s the last in a long line of disgraced vampire hunters. Has to go after Dracula after a town kills his, Dracula’s Wife. He’s sort of a drunken savant at killing the undead, ends up having to be friends with one.”
Aidan, “And the emu?”
“A female, we can’t seem to settle on her yet, but it’s sort of a, I don’t want to say, sibling like, bickering between the trio.”
Richard chuckled then eyed you carefully having been the one to guess your bout of crying he shared with the guys hoping to find something to make you feel better. An idea he quickly settled on was your joining them for the convention, among the group was going to be a set of the Weta workshop crew that had gladly agreed to show you through the traveling exhibit sharing details on it while the guys signed autographs before the second group of actors. Mainly the outright angered bundle of fluff Graham had become when hearing about what had happened, agreed to show you around himself as Aidan was busy. Gladly being the single Dwarf among the Elf cast to do so while Evangeline swapped with him so she could fly home early for another fan stop of her own for another of her roles.
With a grin Dean added, “So, we managed to get you a pass for the event.”
Your lips parted, “You-.”
Aidan cut you off, “We are not leaving you alone through this. Besides, you had our characters on your bag.”
Your eyes shifted to Richard as he stated, “We’ve managed a surprise for you, so when you’re ready we’re heading out.”
With a nod you stood and went to pull on your socks and shoes, wearing the same jeans and a fresh shirt under your cardigan, making sure to bring your blank notebook and extra pencils in your old satchel coated in your random sketches to cover its aged spots of wear and followed the group with their own bags of books, snacks, water and ipods.
.
Unable to help it your anxiety spiked in the wave of cameras until your hand was claimed by one of the guys. Another car pulled up and more giants filed around you and guided you inside where you were led through by Aidan until he was taken away and forced to leave you with a parting smile under Graham’s care alone until the Elven cast joined you greeting you happily and guiding you through their character’s section of costumes and weapons leaving you a giddy bouncing mess when you were left alone with the Weta crew fully able to geek out with you over the details of the world they helped build. For hours you shared and swapped stories of your various jobs while Graham took his place on his own cast table through the Dwarves’ final sets of interviews.
A short lunch break let granted you a private moment to sketch a dozen of the ideas your tour had given you. Though your concentration broke at a familiar Irish croon over your shoulder through a set of foreign curls brushing along your cheek, “More raccoons?”
With a smirk you showed him the sketches of armor and weapons and even scenery you had imagined. “Just small details for later.”
He nodded then said, “Care to look through some booths?”
You nodded and put your book and pencils up accepting his side for the walk not noticing the subtle glances your way the world soon spread around confirming an affection he had for you already. Steadily he made sure not to cross any boundaries and ensured your happiness through the muddle of actors aiming to do the same. Though his times with you spelled out differently at your hand nearly outright claiming his after a few testing brushes of your knuckles against his. Holding back his smirk he held his hand closer to yours urging you on to freely claim his hand, hoping to soon not even have the second guessing.
For years he’d been in another relationship, and through his painful breakup he made certain none around him felt any pain. You had fallen into his life at the end of that dark tunnel, and just in time it seems. Even in the few minutes you shared on that plane he could just sense it, with you he had to try for something, anything more than a passing moment by chance. At once he could tell in those green eyes of yours in an instant he would hold you in his arms taking you home with him to Dublin. You’d fit in perfectly with his family, who no doubt would tease him for his blonde break and relenting to his weakness for fiery haired women even his characters seemed to love as well. As he left your side for one more group photo you held the camera for his plans all locked into place. He would be heading back home after a short stop in London and he hoped to be able to convince you to join him for one more adventure after the following day he had planned.

(Talesfromthefade) things you said when you were drunk, for the DWC?
OH MY GOD this was a little idea that got away from me in a big big way but I’m still pretty happy with it. For this and for “cafune - the act of running your fingers through the hair of someone you love,” from @contreparry! For @dadrunkwriting!!
Alistair/Leohta Aeducan, T for language, dumb suggestive jokes, and alcohol use, 4k+ words (awaaaay from me, I wish I had time to edit it but uh I spent the entire time writing it instead).
On the cusp of the party’s visit to Orzammar, Alistair learns what kind of drunk Leohta can be, and shares a little lesson of his own. Light angst, serious fluff.
He finds her standing on the rocky beach, well away from the dim glow provided by the Spoiled Princess’s small windows. It takes a moment for Alistair’s eyes to adjust to the complete dark–the night watch Templar doused all the torches at the dock, as clear an indication as anything that no one else would cross Lake Calenhad tonight–but even if he’d had to follow her blind he could’ve found her by the sound.
Bloop.
Normally finding Leohta by sound means the clank or grind of armour, the grunts or barks of Leon, or even her rare laughter at something Zevran said (it was always Zevran making her laugh), but tonight the sound is completely unfamiliar. It’s still enough to guide him, though.
Bloop.
Last he’d seen her, she was swapping some of the coin they’d made selling things to the Templar quartermaster for three large bottles of deep pink liquid. It seemed a bit of a racket to Alistair, that they should collect the mages’ items as they cleared the Tower only to sell them to the Templars who would then in turn sell them back to the Mages, but surely if that wasn’t how the economy of the Circle usually worked, Wynne would’ve said something. That was Alistair’s hope, anyway, as he’d watched Leohta count the coins before they left, then again at the tavern’s bar. She’d tossed the bag back to him before collecting the bottles and heading outside, and he in turn had left it with Zevran.
Bloop.
“You have known our illustrious leader the longest among any of us. Has this always been a habit of hers?” Alistair squinted across the table, trying to determine Zevran’s game, but succeeded only in giving up his own. “You think I see this as a weakness I can exploit, but I would think even you would see that if I were going to do so, I would have done it by now and certainly would not draw attention to my plans by involving you.” His eyes only narrowed further–how does Zevran make talking down to him still seem so seductive?–but Alistair did sit back in his chair.
“I haven’t known her all that long, really, but I don’t think so. Why d'you ask?”
“My Antiva makes the finest wines in Thedas, so it is not uncommon to see those there who overindulge, but there are many types. Leohta, she is young and exploring her limits, yes, but she is also trying to drown things she does not want to feel. Her limits are low and the things she seeks to kill are very large. It is a dangerous combination.”
Alistair glanced again toward the door. Of course she hadn’t come back inside, that’d be too much to ask for, but what was he supposed to do?
“If it is too much for you, I will go after her, but she should not be alone.” Both of their chairs scraped back at the same time but Alistair was the first to stand, something that for some reason brought a sad smile to Zevran’s face. Alistair could only look at it for a moment before looking away.  "I know you do not think much of me, Alistair, and while that is entirely your loss, I do know that one thing we have in common is how much we care for her. Go see to her, my friend, before her sorrows are not all she drowns. It is probably for the best; I am not much of a swimmer myself.“
Bloop.
So now here he is, approaching carefully, pretending to be taking in the constellations while Leohta hurls rocks at the water like she’s trying to knock the waves down before they can reach the shore. The night is perfectly clear; Kinloch Hold is merely a dark space in the sky where the stars are missing, but everything else is black sky and white twinkles. He clears his throat in case she somehow hasn’t noticed since he doesn’t fancy getting one of those stones thrown at him, but she only pauses for a moment before bending to search the area around her feet for another suitable candidate. One bottle is already empty, stuffed mouth down among the pebbles and into the sand underneath them, and as Alistair finishes closing the distance Leohta gives up her search and instead tips to land on her backside, legs out in front of her and a second bottle in her hand. He knows they’re not small but her stature makes them seem even larger; it makes the sight of her lifting one to her lips almost comical but the effect is spoiled by how long it stays there. Maker’s breath, Zevran was right when he talked about drowning.
"You planning on coming up for air any time soon?”
There’s a pop as she breaks the vacuum she’s created, then a dry laugh. She still isn’t looking at him. It makes his chest hurt, how badly he wants her to turn her head. “Breathe through your nose and you can use your mouth for whatever you want.”
“You’re spending too much time with Zevran, saying things like that.” Sighing, Alistair drops down crosslegged at her side and extends a hand. “What are you even drinking? I’ve never seen anything that color in a tavern before.”
“One of the Templars told me about it. I guess–” there’s a pause and she bunches up her eyebrows, apparently trying to put the pieces back together, “I guess the mother started making it as a tribute to her daughter and now of course it’s all very sad but the owner still makes it as a specialty. Sweet mead made with roses.” She passes over the open bottle, not bothering to wipe the top, and the expression on her face, like she’s sharing a secret, distracts him so much he can’t be bothered either. She wasn’t kidding when she said it was sweet but the roses are strong too, floral and delicate. He passes the bottle back after just one mouthful.
“I’ve never had a mead like that before. It’s very… different.” Leohta seems to accept that answer, nodding before lifting the bottle to her lips again.
“There’s nothing like this in Orzammar. Not even in the palace. Not even to make it. No honey, no roses, and when there is if you said you wanted to make something like this with it, you’d be laughed out of the kitchen.” She holds the bottle in front of her contemplatively, swishing the contents back and forth gently and tilting her head in time with the motion. Alistair’d almost think it was a contented sort of gesture but then she sighs and drops her head back, hair falling over her shoulders as she lifts the bottle skyward. “Nothing like that, either. No stars, no sky. Some of the caverns are so high the ceilings are invisible, but you still know they’re up there.” Slowly, she lowers the bottle but keeps her gaze fixed upward.
“Do you miss that?” It’s not something he’s given a lot of thought to but it’s hard to imagine. Even within the walls of the Chantry there were windows. The sky was always there, or not-there maybe, when compared to a ceiling of stone. Trying to imagine life without it or everything it held–the sun, the moons, the clouds and stars and birds–was virtually impossible, but here was Leohta not just imagining the opposite but living it.
“Dunno. I still don’t understand all this. What keeps it up there?” Her hand waves up at the stars but only briefly; even sitting down she’s unsteady without both hands to support her. “With the stone, you know that even if you can’t see the ceiling, it’s still held there by the stone. Nothing floats, nothing rises or sets.” Watching her profile, he can see the way it hardens as her train of thought jumps the track. “Nothing changes.”
He shifts a little, the pebbles grinding softly underneath him as he leans to try to catch her eye. “You changed.”
This time when she looks over at him, it gives him a chill. The stone she’s been so contemplative about has found a home in her eyes, the set of her mouth. They seem cold and stiff and almost lifeless, soft evening blue turned to lapis lazuli. Still beautiful but hard. “I left, and not by choice. You wouldn’t know how much I’ve changed, Alistair. You have no idea what I was like before we met.”
“I suppose not, but I do know you’ve changed in the time I’ve known you.” He keeps his voice softer now, speaking carefully to avoid that stony shift becoming somehow permanent. He hasn’t seen her look like that since before Ostagar, and to lose all the little ways she’s softened since then would be the greatest waste. “Do you miss that? Or her, I guess. Do you miss who you were before?”
Her laugh is a single humorless sound that moves her entire body, shaking her shoulders and flexing her stomach. “What does that matter? She’s dead. Worse than dead.” There’s venom in her voice but Alistair doesn’t flinch since for once he’s certain it’s not directed at him. He watches as Leohta stands, a wobbly process that involves repeated planting of hands and feet before she can push herself vertical. There’s a powerful temptation to offer her help but the set of her jaw makes him stay his hand, even if whatever effect she might be going for is already ruined by her own unsteadiness. “Nobody mourned her, nobody misses her, but it doesn’t change the fact that she’s dead. Bhelen killed her as sure as he killed Trian. The prince is dead, the princess is dead. Princess Aeducan is dead.” Her voice is raising, getting louder and more raw the longer she speaks, until finally she’s yelling out at the water. “Princess Leohta Aeducan, second born and best beloved daughter of House Aeducan, is dead!” She punctuates the last word by throwing the empty bottle into the water but it’s a bad throw, short and shallow. The bottle makes only a small splash then floats, reflecting the moonlight as it bobs its way back toward the shore.
Alistair rises, brushing at the back of his breeches, and makes his way up to stand beside her. He’s well within punching range, possibly a dangerous gamble, but if the way she’s carrying herself is any indication, it wouldn’t hurt very much right now. Plus, if she punched him, at least it’d prove she was feeling something. “I’d mourn her but like you said, I never did get to meet her. I’ve met Warden Aeducan, though, and I think she’s pretty great. Accomplished a lot, too.”
She’s bent back down and is sorting through the stones at her feet, tucking some in the bend of her other arm. Standing back up is a careful process but she’s shaking her head the entire time. “They’re not gonna think so.” Her voice is normal again but her profile is still stony.
Bloop.
Was this was he was like heading into Redcliffe? Of course, he hadn’t gotten drunk on sickly sweet mead to deal with it, but he’d had his turn as the prodigal royal-but-not-really. The main difference was he never wanted it, but she spoke so little of her life before the Grey Wardens. Was the crown of Orzammar what she’d really wanted? Not that it really mattered now. “Seems to me they had their chance to appreciate you and they blew it.”
“Oh, no. That’s the thing. Up until the end, they loved Princess Aeducan. That was the whole problem. She was too well-loved. Luckily, I’m not.” Leohta stares out at the ripples from her last throw but the fight’s going out of her. It ought to be a comfort, less risk of being punched, but instead it just hurts more. He curls his hands into fists at his sides to keep from reaching out, swallows the words that’d tell her just how deeply loved she is and not only by him, as much as he might wish it were so.
“We could go back to Denerim without going to Orzammar.” Aaaaaaaalistair, what’re you doooooooing? He ignores the voice in the back of his head, prepared to make an argument for mounting their assault without the help of the dwarves, but Leohta shakes her head. She’s drunk and she’s still got better sense than you.
“Just because I don’t want to go back doesn’t mean we don’t have to. Being a Grey Warden isn’t supposed to be fun, hasn’t been so far, why start now?” She seems to consider the matter closed as she turns her attention back to the rocks she’s holding, sorting through them as though looking for a particular one. They start to slip away and clack into the pebbles below and with a frustrated sigh she picks one, letting the remainder drop. “This is supposed to be, though. How the fuck do you do this?” Another windup, another bloop.
“Wait. What are you trying to do?”
“Make it…” She shakes her head, the word apparently lost, and instead makes a bouncing motion with her hand.
“You’re trying to skip stones… by heaving them at the surface of the water with all your might?” And there’s the punch he was waiting for, exactly as painless as expected. It’s not even hard enough to stop him laughing.
“I saw you and Zevran do it in Redcliffe before we left and it seemed to calm you down so I thought I’d try. You made it look easy, but if you’re just gonna laugh then forg–”
Alistair intercepts her before she can start to walk away. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry. It’s just that I never would have guessed that’s what you were trying to do. I thought you were mad at the lake or something.” She’s looking up at him, wary, so he holds his hands up in innocence. “If you still want to try, I can show you.”
“No more laughing?”
“No more laughing. Warden’s honor.” When Leohta seems satisfied with his intentions, Alistair finally looks away from her, crouching down. “The first thing you need is the right kind of rock. It needs to be pretty flat and you want a triangle shape if you can find one, but flat will do for now.”
She’s crouching as well. “I thought it would be better with a round rock, like a ball.” She’s quiet, almost chastized, and Alistair has to duck his head and cough into his fist to hide the grin it conjures.
“No, that’ll break through the water and sink. A flat rock will bounce better. Something like these.” He shows her the three he’s found, all rounder still than he’d like but they should do the trick. She holds up a couple of her own and really, they’re no better, but they’re only for learning. “Yes, those will do. Now.” Alistair drops to his knees and crooks his fingers around one of the stones. “You have to hold it like this, because the important part is that you get it to spin. That’s what makes it skip.”
Leohta’s squinting at his hand, then she tries it out herself. Her hands are smaller so she can’t quite circle it the way he does, but Alistair hopes it’ll work out. “Like this?”
“Just like that. Now, the other trick is not to throw it up but to flick it. You want it to stay flat so you have to kind of–” He turns his arm out at the elbow and flicks the rock out onto the water. Four hops, not his best work but not bad.
When he looks back at Leohta, though, she’s entranced. She watches the ripples so long he has to clear his throat to get her attention back, but this time every trace of the stone is gone from her face. She looks eager, determined, but also a little embarrassed. Surprised to have been caught, probably, but it’s a charming expression nonetheless. She turns to face the water again, weighing the rock in her hand, then moves her arm and throws.
It splashes and sinks just like all her other attempts. Leohta curses softly and starts to turn away but Alistair catches her wrist.
“Hey, no way. You’re not giving up after one attempt. C'mon. We’ve got two more rocks, so two more tries, then I guess I can let you give up.” He starts to move before she can start to argue.
“It’s not giving up, Alistair, it’s accepting the inedible. Inedibibble. Ined… remind me to compliment the tavernkeeper tomorrow. His stuff is good.” Her voice gradually gets softer, a delayed reaction to where Alistair has taken up a position just behind her. It’s extremely convenient for him: she can’t see how his face is burning up from the presumptuousness of being so close to her, but it’s also the best position to show her how to move her arm. He wraps his hand around hers and lifts her arm into position.
“From here, you have to flick your hand out. Try to imagine the rock spinning out from the inside of your thumb and taking all that energy with it. The harder you can flick it, the more it’ll bounce and the more hops you’ll–all right, that’s it, you and Zevran are officially being separated because that’s not even dirty and now you’ve made it dirty. I hope you’re happy.” The woman in front of him is struggling to contain her laughter, he can tell, and as much as he wants to keep her focus on him, it’s hard to be genuinely upset. She doesn’t laugh nearly enough and especially not around him. The fact that whatever is so funny is lost on him is a far distant concern.
Alistair waits for her to compose herself then takes a moment to compose himself in turn when she settles back into a proper posture that puts her in contact with him from shoulder to hip. She’s nearly as tall as he is when he’s on his knees like this, a fact he’s thought about many times but never quite in this situation. Leohta gives herself a little shake, tossing her hair in his face as she does. He tries to blow it out of the way but there’s just too much. All right then, one thing at a time.
“Now. Just remember, angle your hand back and then flick. That word is ruined for me now, I think. You’ve ruined flicking.” In front of him Leohta snorts and Alistair make a private vow to forbid Zevran from using that word. He wants it to be their joke even if he doesn’t understand it. “Do you think you can manage?”
“To flick? I’ve done all right for the last few years anyway.” She giggles and clears her throat. “All right. Angle my hand back,” and her hand is moving inside of his so he loosens his grip, “then forward and flick!”
Alistair peers over her shoulder and sure enough. Blip, blip. One hop, but it’s one more than she’d managed before. He puts his hands on her shoulders and squeezes. “There you go! Well done, Warden Aeducan.” She lifts one hand to pat his but he can tell she’s still looking at the ripples.
After a moment, he releases her shoulders and, feeling a little bolder by the fact that she hasn’t elbowed him away yet, reaches forward to comb his fingers through her hair. It’s a practical gesture–even as he’s speaking, her hair is getting in his mouth–but hardly exclusively practical. Her hair is thick and her scalp surprisingly warm underneath it. In front of him she’s gone very still; he thinks she might even be holding her breath but then again, so is he. He focuses on his own hands until he’s gathered her hair at the back of her neck, but then the tension in it changes and oh.
Alistair looks up and she’s right there, her head turned to look at him. Maker’s breath but she’s close, her mouth gently open and her eyes searching his face. Her breath smells like honey and roses and his hand is still in her hair, it’d be so easy and it might be perfect but she’s been drinking and that’s not right. Or might it be OK, with her looking at him like that? The motion of her lips is so mesmerizing that it takes him a moment to realize she’s speaking to him.
“Alistair.” And like that, the moment is over, or at least set aside. “Would you do that again?”
“Of course.” She could ask him to fetch the moons from the sky right now and he’d say yes, but… “Wait, do what?” He didn’t do anything other than have a whole lot of thoughts in a very short span of time.
“Touch my hair. That was nice.” She’s leaning more of her weight against him now and it’s nice but also just starting to make him concerned. Still, he already said yes, so Alistair releases her hair from where he’s holding it and threads his fingers through it again, starting at her temple, mindful of and parallel to the little braid she’s so meticulous about. As he does it, her eyes drift closed but her face is relaxed. It’s not quite a smile but he’ll take it. “Again,” she murmurs as his hand comes to rest on the back of her neck.
Alistair laughs softly but he complies with her request, stroking his fingers through her hair again. And again, and once more, until she leans forward completely and drops her head onto his shoulder. Her breath is warm on his neck as he gives her one last stroke, then stops to reach out away from her. She grumbles softly in protest but he hushes her. “I’m just getting your other bottle. It’s bought and paid for, no sense leaving it here.”
“Why, where’re we going?”
“I don’t know yet about myself but you are doing to bed. Sleeping standing up is only good for horses and probably Sten, and sleeping on your knees is good for no one. Now, come on, up you get.” He hooks the hand holding the unopened bottle of rhodomel under Leohta’s knees, his other arm coming up behind her shoulders. She grumbles again as he starts to stand and he pauses before beginning to walk.
“You’re carrying me like a princess.” The humor in her voice warms him but now he feels a little more confident about deflecting it.
“I’m a Warden carrying another Warden like a Warden. No princesses here. Well, except for the tavern but I’m certainly not trying to pick that up. I could throw you over my shoulder if you wanted, but you have to promise not to throw up on my back.”
“No promises.” She slumps against his shoulder as he starts to walk. It’s only a few steps from the beach to the door but he takes his time. Who knows what Orzammar will do to her, or what she might do to Orzammar? The answer is liable to be complicated but this, for as unexpected as it is, feels strangely simple. She might not even remember it in the morning, but it’s not a feeling Alistair’s going to forget any time soon. “Alistair.”
“I don’t have a free hand to pet you, but if you can stay awake until we get inside, maybe I’ll give you scritches once I get you upstairs.” He’s trying to figure out how he’s going to open the door when she shakes her head and answers.
“Thank you for coming out tonight. I’m sorry I’m–”
“None of that now. You have nothing to be sorry for, and if anything I should say thank you for having me.” Alistair manages to hook the latch with his pinkie then wedge his foot into the gap, kicking the door open as he maneuvers her inside. “You may not have found it so, but I think being a Warden can be a little bit fun, if you’re with the right person. Or people,” he continues, scrambling to cover for himself while trying to ease the door’s closing with his foot. Once he’s got both feet back on the ground, he looks down at the woman in his arms. Fast asleep, looking as young as he’s ever seen her and more peaceful than she has possibly the entire time he’s known her. The inn’s main room is empty, the fire doused, and he’s almost loathe to speak again and interrupt the silence, but he does.
“Or person. Just the right person.”

Chapter 14
“T-Tinystar?”
The small voice woke Tinystar from a restless slumber. It had been two days since the incident with Stonepaw at Sunningrocks. Tinystar lifted his head from Sandstorm’s flank, blinking sleep from his eyes. He peered into the predawn light filtering through into his den and spotted the kit-small shape of Sorrelkit.
Tinystar nudged Sandstorm awake. The pale ginger she-cat protested, but her jaws shut when she scented Sorrelkit at the entrance. Her green eyes flashed with concern.
“He’s gone again, isn’t he?” Tinystar guessed.
Sorrelkit nodded. The kitten’s yellow eyes were filled with worry.
“Then let’s be after him,” Sandstorm decided briskly. “There’s no time to lose.”
“I’m coming, too?” Sorrelkit asked as Tinystar and Sandstorm got to their paws.
Tinystar shook moss from his pelt. “Of course,” he told her. Sandstorm flashed him a warning gaze, but Tinystar returned it with a soft look. He’d given Sorrelkit this mission – she would be downhearted if she were left out. He whispered into Sandstorm’s ear, “I don’t think Stonepaw would attack his own Clanmate. It’s likely that this isn’t as bad as we fear.”
Sandstorm huffed, but didn’t protest.
They were on their paws and on their way in a matter of moments, with Sorrelkit leading the way out of camp. Tinystar needed only a moment to put Whitestorm in charge of camp – the white warrior was worried about his kit going off into the forest, but he seemed alright with Tinystar and Sandstorm accompanying her.
Tinystar hoped they wouldn’t be gone long.
As they pushed their way through the gorse tunnel, Tinystar felt an uncomfortable prickle behind his ears. The last time he and Sandstorm had tracked an apprentice like this, it had been Cloudtail during her training… and at the end of the trail Cloudtail had been taken away from them by Twolegs.
He hoped this wouldn’t end the same way.
———————————————————-
“He went this way!”
Sorrelkit raised her dappled tail, looking back at Tinystar and Sandstorm. Tinystar opened his jaws. Stonepaw’s scent crossed his scent glands. He nodded to Sorrelkit. “Good job,” he offered.
The kitten’s fur fluffed. “T-Thanks!” She wiggled excitedly. “He usually takes the same way – off the paths the other warriors take. You can smell it!”
She was right – Stonepaw’s scent was deep in the earth on this off-path track. Tinystar glanced worriedly at Sandstorm.
“Let’s hurry on,” Sandstorm meowed. “Lead the way, Sorrelkit.”
Sorrelkit nodded, her own excitement tempered by worry for her Clanmate. She turned about and pushed through the ragged undergrowth. Tinystar and Sandstorm followed, their paws itching to go faster than a kitten’s pace.
“She’s a good tracker,” Sandstorm meowed into Tinystar’s ear. “Spunky, too.”
Tinystar nodded. “She’ll make a great apprentice,” he agreed. “I’m just worried where that nose of her’s is leading us.”
Sunningrocks loomed through the trees ahead. Tinystar and Sandstorm caught up to Sorrelkit, pushing her between them despite the kitten’s protests. They kept their bodies low, their tails still above the leaf litter, like they were stalking prey. Sorrelkit, thankfully, kept her jaws shut as they crept through the last paces of undergrowth.
This is where Stonepaw always goes, Tinystar thought, scanning the pebbly shore. Where is he?
“There!” hissed Sorrelkit, stretching out a paw to point.
Sandstorm hushed the kit. Tinystar followed Sorrelkit’s paw, which pointed downstream, towards the stepping-stones. Tinystar’s fur prickled. Stonepaw sat on one of the stepping-stones near the ThunderClan bank, his tail wrapped around his paws and his back to his onlookers.
On the stone just before him was Darkstripe.
“I knew it,” hissed Sandstorm. “Of course it’s Darkstripe!”
Sorrelkit bristled indignantly. “He’s such a fox-heart!” she hissed. “Come on, Tinystar – let’s get Stonepaw away from him!”
“Wait,” Tinystar hushed, planting a paw on Sorrelkit’s back to keep her haunches from disturbing the foliage. “We can’t let them know we’re here just yet – I want to hear what they’re talking about first.”
They hunkered down more, Sandstorm and Tinystar pressing Sorrelkit’s fidgeting body between them in hopes of dampening the sounds she was making. Horror crept over Tinystar’s pelt as he looked at Darkstripe – the sleek black tabby was fit and healthy, looking down at Stonepaw with confidence in his pale eyes.
LionClan made this possible, Tinystar thought, his belly clenching. Darkstripe would never be able to get so close to the stepping-stones like this!
Tinystar strained his ears.
“… are you feeling, Stonepaw?” The water was thankfully gentle today, making Darkstripe’s mew easier to hear.
Stonepaw was shaking his head. “It’s still the same – worse, even,” he meowed. His tone was panicked and sorrowful. “Everyone’s judging me, like you said they would. I can see it in their eyes when they look at me… Mistypaw won’t believe me when I say they look at her like that, too! She won’t listen to me about anything anymore, it feels like…”
Darkstripe’s eyes softened piteously. Tinystar dug his claws into the earth.
“You shouldn’t have to fight for your Clanmate’s approval,” Darkstripe said softly. “That’s not fair.”
“It’s not!” Stonepaw snapped back. His neck fur bristled. “It’s not fair at all! But that’s all anyone keeps telling me – do everything better than anyone else or everyone thinks you’re a traitor! Do you know how frustrating that is?!”
Oh, Stonepaw, Tinystar thought, glancing at Sandstorm. The pale she-cat’s eyes were round with sorrow. I should have done more for you! I have to!
Darkstripe’s tail wound around his paws. He was nodding. “My offer still stands, Stonepaw – in LionClan there would be none of this nonsense,” he meowed. “The longer you stay in ThunderClan, the more unwanted you’ll feel. You’d be able to see everything with your own eyes – not through ThunderClan’s… bias. You know they refuse to see that Bluestar has changed.”
Stonepaw stiffened on his stepping-stone.
Tinystar’s eyes widened. How long had Darkstripe been trying to coax Stonepaw into LionClan – or ShadowClan, for that matter? Sandstorm held a low growl in her throat, her eyes flashing protectively.
“Stop!”
Tinystar felt his fur burn as Sorrelkit rocketed out from between himself and Sandstorm. The calico kitten streaked across the shore, bounding over the stepping-stones without a care and pushing past Stonepaw to lunge herself at Darkstripe, paws and claws outstretched to latch onto the dark tabby warrior.
“Sorrelkit!” Sandstorm cried.
Tinystar burst through the undergrowth to chase after the kit as she and Darkstripe wrestled on the small stone. Darkstripe’s claws flashed. Sandstorm pulled ahead, scattering pebbles in her wake. When Darkstripe thrust Sorrelkit into the river, Sandstorm dove in immediately after her. Tinystar skidded to a stop at the shore, his pads burning against the stones.
“You see, Stonepaw?” hissed Darkstripe. Tinystar turned his gaze, narrowing his ice-blue eyes at the dark warrior. Darkstripe was adjusting himself on his stone, his claws clinging to its edges. “You see? Do you know what they’ll do to you just for speaking to me? Exile!”
Stonepaw’s eyes were wide, his legs trembling. “N-No!”
“Yes!” snapped Darkstripe.
“That’s not true, Stonepaw!” Tinystar called. He tried to keep his eye on the river, on Sandstorm struggling in the water with Sorrelkit, but he had to focus. “We came here to talk to you!”
Stonepaw’s eyes flashed between Tinystar and Darkstripe. He swallowed, shivering.
“Are you going to listen to the one cat who judges you most for being Bluestar’s son?” Darkstripe snapped, neck fur bristling. “When has he ever looked at you or your littermates and not seen her?”
Fury flashed through Tinystar’s pelt. He unsheathed his claws. “Do you really think I’m so small-minded?” he snarled to Darkstripe. “I know their worth, and so will ThunderClan!”
“When?” sneered Darkstripe. “How much blood must Stonepaw shed before his so-called Clanmates finally recognize his loyalty? You of all cats should know that no matter what you do, some cats will see you as nothing more than a useless kittypet.”
Tinystar bunched his muscles.
“Stonepaw, don’t listen to him!” Tinystar pleaded. “Please! There are cats in ThunderClan who love you, who need you! What about Mistypaw? Mosspaw? Oakheart?”
From the corner of his eye Tinystar spotted Sandstorm pulling herself out of the river, dragging Sorrelkit behind her. Both were sodden, drenched to the bone.
Stonepaw looked between Darkstripe and Tinystar. His eyes narrowed. “They never understood why I was upset,” he snapped. “We shouldn’t have to work harder than anyone else to prove our loyalty just because of what our mother did!”
“Yes,” Darkstripe purred. “Yes, Stonepaw!”
“I-I’m tired of the way cats look at me,” Stonepaw went on. “Of the way they treat me. I’m sorry, Tinystar – I’m grateful that you tried, but you just didn’t try hard enough. I don’t feel like I belong anywhere right now – but I know I don’t belong in ThunderClan.”
Tinystar’s heart plummeted.
Darkstripe raised his head, his eyes sparkling with triumph.
Tinystar bunched himself, preparing to spring.
“Tinystar! Sorrelkit isn’t breathing!”
Tinystar started.
“Go on, Tinystar,” Darkstripe sneered. “Take care of your Clanmate. After all, that is your job, isn’t it?”
Tinystar bristled. He snapped back, “Close your jaws! If she dies, it’ll be on your head, traitor!”
“Come on, Stonepaw,” Darkstripe meowed, grinning. “LionClan is waiting for you.”
Stonepaw hesitated, looking back at Tinystar with worry in his eyes. But Darkstripe leaned over the gap between their stones and grasped Stonepaw’s scruff in his jaws, tugging him along. Tinystar had to push them out of sight and mind to go to Sandstorm, who was desperately trying to push the water out of Sorrelkit.
“I-It’s not coming out!” Sandstorm meowed frantically. “Oh StarClan, don’t take her!”
Tinystar bristled, fury and frustration filling his body. He planted his paws against Sorrelkit’s lungs and pushed with near all his might. The kit shuddered under his weight and gasped, vomiting up a lungful of river water.
“Oh, Tinystar…” Sandstorm sighed. “Oh, thank StarClan!”
Sorrelkit bunched herself up, groaning and shivering. Sandstorm began furiously lapping at her pelt, pushing the fur the wrong way to warm her. Tinystar joined her, but he felt so disconnected from the task at his paws.
Stonepaw was gone.
Gone to LionClan.
And it’s my fault.
———————————————————-
They were in the medicine cat’s den as quickly as they could manage – but the moments stretched into seasons for Tinystar, especially when he had to tell the Clan what had happened. His Clanmate’s reactions hit like a blow – from the devastation in their eyes, Tinystar knew he ought to have tried so much harder to keep Stonepaw from falling into LionClan clutches.
“I never meant to…” Mousefur bristled. “I never meant to make him feel like that!”
“None of us did,” Cinderpelt mewed gently. “We had no idea he was hurting so much…”
Dustpelt dropped his gaze to his paws. “We of all cats ought to know not to judge others by their birth…”
Mistypaw wailed, and Mosspaw was shivering beside her sister. Disbelief hung in their blue eyes, even as they watched over Sorrelkit. Brackenfur was tending to her, with Willowpelt wrapped around her little kit.
“There’s no place in StarClan for one who’d toss a kitten in the river,” Brackenfur declared. “He could have drowned her!”
Willowpelt’s body rippled with grief. “I must have been such a poor mother, for Darkstripe to end up such a villain…”
“That’s not true!” Rainkit chimed in.
Sootkit, by his brother’s side, was bristling. “It’s not! You’re the best mother ever!”
“This isn’t your fault, Willowpelt,” Tinystar meowed, touching his nose to the queen’s forehead. “He was always on Bluestar’s side, likely from the moment he was her apprentice.”
“I thought she would teach him well!” Willowpelt breathed, her eyes wide and filled with sorrow. “But look at what he’s become! Look at what they’ve both become! How can a kit turn out so different from either of his parents?”
Brackenfur hushed her, lapping gently at Willowpelt’s flank. “Don’t blame yourself, Willowpelt. StarClan knows you’re not the cause. There, there… let your kits calm you. Sorrelkit needs to be kept warm or she’ll catch a chill!”
“She’s not moving!” Rainkit mewled as he settled beside his sister.
“She’s in shock,” Brackenfur explained. “She’ll wake soon, and she’ll feel a lot better when she does. Can you feel her breathing?”
Rainkit nodded. He and Sootkit, along with Willowpelt, formed a protective ring around Sorrelkit, warm and soft with all their leaf-bare fluff. Tinystar knew that the kitten would be alright - especially with Brackenfur to care for her.
Tinystar had to leave the medicine den then. There was nothing more for him there. He sagged under the weight of his guilt and it seemed like guilt clouded over the entire clearing. Cats had their heads low, their tails still. They had lost one of their own but there was no body to mourn for Stonepaw. His presence would likely never be felt in the clearing again.
It’s my fault. Tinystar couldn’t stop the nagging doubt in his mind. I should have done so much more for him. How could he call himself leader if one of his own cats was so easily convinced to leave his Clan altogether?
“What are you going to do?”
The voice was trembling with sorrow, but backed up by indignation. Tinystar looked up from his paws to see Mistypaw and Mosspaw standing before him, their shoulders both squared and their tails bristling.
“Well?” Mistypaw asked, stepping forward. “Are you going to go get him back?”
Tinystar sighed. “I don’t know that I can, Mistypaw,” he breathed, looking over the sisters. “He left of his own volition.”
“He was tricked!” Mosspaw insisted. “He had to have been!”
“Stonepaw is a ThunderClan cat!” Mistypaw went on. Her eyes glittered. “We need to fight for him! You always said that Bluestar just wanted to use us! She’s going to use him, too!”
“StarClan can’t let this happen!” Mosspaw added, shaking her head. “They just can’t!”
Tinystar felt so badly for the sisters, and so badly for himself. The weight of failure as a warrior or deputy or apprentice did not hang so heavy or sting as hard as failure did for a leader. He felt as if he hadn’t just failed one small clique of cats – Tinystar knew he had failed his Clan as a whole.
“We’re going to try,” Tinystar meowed. “It’s all we can do.”
“And if he doesn’t want to come back?” Mistypaw murmured.
Tinystar touched his nose to her muzzle, the reply of then nothing can be done hanging in the air. Tinystar felt right now that if he spoke those words aloud he would believe them for the rest of his days. There had to be something he could do – but right now the thought of being capable of doing anything wasn’t occurring.
Mistypaw and Mosspaw padded away, their tails twined and pelts brushing. They disappeared into the medicine cat’s den together.
Sandstorm brushed against him, wrapping her tail with his. “This is my fault,” she breathed. “If I had been a better mentor…”
“It’s my fault,” Tinystar insisted. He looked out at the clearing, at all the grieving cats. At Oakheart, who paced in front of Whitestorm and Longtail with his tail kinked and his eyes wild with the worry of a desperate father. “I needed to do more. I needed to make him feel more accepted. I needed to make sure he felt no different than any other cat.”
“You’re Clan leader now,” Sandstorm admonished. “You can’t possibly have time for every little thing. There’s more I could have done, too – like helping him deal with Ashpaw or even not being so strict at times.” She worked her paws into the earth. “I won’t let anything like this ever happen to one of my apprentices again – and if Stonepaw wants to come back… and wants me as his mentor… I’ll give him better than my best.”
Tinystar took heart in her confidence and determination despite the circumstances – losing her apprentice to Darkstripe was a low blow to her pride. Tinystar leaned against his mate, looking out at his Clanmates, feeling her determination swell up inside his chest.
“We’ll get him back,” he decided. “We have to try.”
Tigerstar’s words came back to him, words spoken when Tinystar admitted to sneaking Ravenpaw away from ThunderClan so long ago, words he’d echoed to Mistypaw, too: That not every cat had the heart of a Clan cat. Not every cat was born where they belonged.
Did that apply to Stonepaw, too?
We’ll get him back… If that’s even what he really wants.

Finding some comfort
Natsu was walking through town and was in a very sad mood. Having confessed to erza and then being rejected for that...blue haired bastard was too much for him. He can't move on no matter what he does as the other people were walking around hik he just sat there sitting in sadness. He looked as he saw couples flirting with eachother, kissing eachother, and saying "i love you" to eachother and it was pissing him off.
"Not everybody has what you have!!!!" He yelled at the couple and scared them off.
"Woah what's got you in a bad mood" a woman said behind him.
"That's non of you-" he was cut off when he saw the woman she was quite beautiful if he was honest her was hair was black and was done in twin-tails, she wore a white blouse that showed an impressive amount of cleavage that cam rival erza's with a gold necklace around her neck, she had a black skirt with black tights, and wore thigh high boots."business"
"Hmph" she pouted with her arms crossed "don't be rude, im just tryong to find out what's going on"
He apologized "um sorry i didn't mean lt like that"
She smiled "that's better, i forgive you my name is symera what's your name"
"My name is natsu dragneel" he introduced himself
"So your the famous fire dragon slayer i heard so much about, it's nice to finally meet you in person" she said in amazement.
"Yeah i guess you could say that" he said rubbing the back of his hair in nervousness then looked depressed again.
"What's wrong" she asked worriedly
"Listen you seem nice and all but you wouldn't understand I'll see you later" he siad as he walked away
As he began to walk away he heard shout "wait" she grabbed his hand stopping him from going further.
"Don't just walk away like that" she said with concern
"Please let go" he begged
"No not until you tell me what's wrong" she persisted
"But you don't know me, why would you want to help me" he asked
"I may not know you but that doesn't mean we cant be friends and know eachother later on right" she said and this shocked him but after that he smiled
"Alright, ill tell you"
Later
"So you confessed your feelings to that erza girl and now you won't be able to move on because of your... instincts?" She concluded
"Yup" he said
"Wow that sounds like a nightmare not being to move on and get stuck in pain" she thought
"Oh you have no idea" he said with a sigh
She sat in silence for a moment then got up from her seat and held out her hand towards him and natsu just looked up in confusion. "Come on aren't you going to take it?" She asked
"......why would i take your hand" he aaked not getting it
'Wow they weren't kidding he really is dense' she thought
"I meant grab my hand were gonna go somewhere" she concluded
"But where?" He asked
"Just follow me" she said
As they left symera brought natsu to a starry sky and it looked beautiful, all around him there was a field of grass and trees and it looked very peaceful. Symera looked at natsu's shocked fave and laughed.
"Beautiful isn't it, i come here all the time when im sad and when i look at the stars i feel as if all my sadness went away" she said with a smile
"This place is beautiful i feel happy inside" he said as he looked at the sky and synera just looked at him happy that she was helping him.
The next day
"Geez where is that flamehead" the ice prick said in nothing but his underwear.
"Darling your clothes are gone" juvia said
"Gaaa!!! Ah crap not again!" gray yelled as he went to go find his clothes
"juvia will help you search for them my love!" She said as she went to help him
"It's not like natsu to be missing for a long time i wonder where he could be?" Wondered lucy with worry
"I hoe that he's ok" wendy said also with worry
"This natsu were talking about" erza walked up with the group with a smirk "i wouldn't dwell on the matter for to long since nothing could bring his mood down for long"
She then frowned as she remembered why natau left when he confessed and ahe didn't feel the same way for him. 'I hope i didnt change him for the worse' she thought in worry.
Just as she thought that the doory swung open with a loud natsu saying "IM BACK FAIRY TAIL!!!!!!"
"Well someone is in a happy mood looks like we were worried for nothing" Lucy said with a smile
"Yeah still the aame idiot as before" gray said with a smirk
"You wanna go ice prick" natsu said as he butt heads with gray
"Bring it flamebrain!" they get ready their magic and....get their heads smashed together by erza
"You two boys will never learb to get along will you" she said with a sigh then looked at natsu and smiled "now natsu, im pleased to see that you ar-" she got cut off
"Oh yeah i forgot to tell you about someone" he said with excitement
"Someone?" Erza asked confused
Natsu came in with symera and the whole guild fell silent.
"Everyone this is symera" he said happily
No one said a word not even erza and when she saw how close she was to natsu she couldn't but get a bad feeling in her stomach and she didn't know why.
"Holy cow natsu brought a girl!"
"I knew this day would come!"
"Our natsu fell in love with girl and a sexy one to!"
Just as the one person said that natsu punched that person in the face "watch what you say to her punk"
"Now, now natsu calm down im sure he meant to say that i was pretty" she said nervously
"Your not pretty.......your beautiful symera" he said woth a smile
Her face turned as red as erzas hair and natsu never complimented a girl before and part of her wanted him to call her beautiful to.
"Come on natsu that's embarrassing" she said with her fingers touching eachother
"Sorry but it's the truth" he said with a happy smile and natsu and symera went out of the guild together and the team just sat there in silence
"What just happened" gray said shocked
"Juvia does not know but natsu brought a girl juvia is ok with her as long as she doesnt steal Juvia's gray!" Juvia said possessively
"Natsu's so bold" wendy said with a red face
"I didnt know natsu knew anything about women" lucy said in amazement
Erza didn't say anything she just stared at the door they went out of and just the same feeling she got earlier 'who was that girl and why were they so close to eachother could they be...no they couldn't natsu couldn't possibly know anything about a relationship, but why does it hurt' she thought little did she know she was jealous.

Version of alternate Starfall in ACOMAF
“They don’t know—what she did to me on Starfall. I don’t want it to ruin their night.”
“I don’t think it would. They’d be happy if you let them shoulder the burden.”
“The same way you rely on others to help with your own troubles?”
We stared at each other, close enough to share breath. And maybe all those words bottled up in me… Maybe I didn’t need them right now. My fingers grazed his. Warm and sturdy—patient, as if waiting to see what else I might do. Maybe it was the wine, but I stroked a finger down his.
My eyes followed the trace my finger was making as I blurted, “That’s just the way it’s always been I guess..”
He looked down upon me with questionable violet eyes as if asking me to continue “My family would’ve died without me, you gathered that much. The reason I don’t rely on other to help me with ‘my troubles’ is because for 18 years I’ve had to rely on me and only me to solve mine and my family’s troubles”.
I wasn’t looking him in the eyes as I ranted about my life growing up, but when I finally did work up the courage to look up at him, I was not met with pity or sadness, but instead recognition and understanding.
“Feyre” he purred sympathetically. I dared myself to say more, to question whether I do need someone to share this load I’ve been carrying around my entire life.
But instead I shut it down, like I always do. “I can take care of myself you know”, I stated with a slight smile upon my lips to keep the conversation light.
He smirked at this and glared up at the sky above us, I hadn’t realized until this moment we were mere inches apart, the lull of the music upon us, itching at my skin, making me sway to the beat.
“Feyre Archeron, if there is one thing I know about you in the time I’ve spent with you, it’s that you are the most stubborn, strong, fearless, and beautiful gift the gods could’ve given me”.
I was a bit taken aback, and I think it showed on my face because he caught himself after he also spilt his true feelings, I saw he was looking for a way to correct what’s been said, which is rare for Rhys to say something that surprises even him.
He’s always meticulous, one step ahead, constantly prepared with a whitty comeback. This time, he’s off his guard. Now it was my turn.
“Rhys” I said slowly, my face calm.
“I-“ but before he could say more I put my finger to his lips to stop him from speaking and his violet eyes were now crossed as he peered down the bridge of his nose at my finger.
“I just want – I just want to dance, will you dance with me?”, I pleaded.
He nodded with that insistent smirk on his face that I’m so glad I get to see every day, and I want him to know that, know I am happy to have him here. He wrapped his hands around my waist as I, with a bit of struggle because he’s so tall, reached up to lay my hands upon his shoulders.
“I meant it” he said almost too low for me to hear.
“Thank you” my blush was definitely noticeable.
“You’re very welcome, Feyre darling”.
We stayed there, not speaking, but speaking all the same because I somehow knew exactly what he was feeling in this moment, without him having to say a word. I wondered if he felt the same pull coming from me. It was the most difficult thing to make sense of, this unrelenting tug at my heart that no matter what I may be going through, Rhys, without ever pushing me, is a rock for me to hold on to. Never breaking, or moving, through our misshaped lives.
I heard a sigh come from deep in his throat as he lay his head atop my own, in one of the most intimate dance stances. I haven’t been this close to someone since… I coughed, which shattered our embrace.
“I don’t know – I cant.” I flung my hands in the air in dramatic exasperation, because I couldn’t make sense of how I was feeling, so how could I even speak it, looking around us, I noticed no one was near us.
What time was it & how long had we been here? Where were the stars, falling?? oh gods, I missed it.
All my emotions were flooding through me as I came to my senses on what exactly was I doing dancing with Rhysand.
“I know what you’re thinking.” He stated. “Get out of my head!” I yelled.
“Try again. It’s all over your face Feyre”. I sighed.
“Im sorry –”, now I felt terrible for accusing him.
“Theres nothing to apologize for”, he said soothingly.
“But there is. This – All of this”, I motioned around us and between us, now feet apart, music still blaring. “How can I feel – why am I feeling this way?”.
I was completely confused with myself. I turned around to lean over the balcony as light bounced around the sky, reflecting off my dress. When I gazed my eyes upon the midnight sky surrounding Rhys and I, I was in true awe. So this, was starfall.
I couldn’t find the right words to explain the scenery ever-changing around me, my heart began to race with excitement. I felt calluses scrape against the palm of my hand, and didn’t need to see what Rhys was doing, grasping my tiny artist hands in his, almost twice the size of mine.
Looking away from the gorgeous view, mouth still agape, I thought I’d see Rhys watching the same view as I was. With more composure, and not in complete admiration like I was.
But what I saw instead was Rhys not looking at the stars, or spirits, which was later explained to me, but looking directly at me. Deeply and intently. Telling my eyes something much more.
Do I look away? Or will he? I know how excited he was to see this ceremony, so I want him to watch. He was going to kiss me I could feel somewhere deep in my bones.
And then he looked away, which left me deflated.
Suddenly realizing, I wanted to him to kiss me, inside I was begging for him.
“Wow, have I missed this”, he said in a breathy voice, in complete happiness.
And I thought I would do what any woman in my position would do, snuggle up to his chest and watch the lights in front of us.
But I was not any woman, instead, the selfish part of me wanted to steal this moment. I never looked away from him. I brought my hand up to his face and immediately felt the scruff rub against the palm of my hand as I cupped his face.
All he did was close his eyes. Please look at me. Please look at me. Before I could prepare myself, he opened his eyes for a split second stealing his eyes from the stars.
I felt his lips immediately on mine before I could register what was happening. Ever so gently, he parted my lips and it felt like a soft, tender invitation to something I would never forget. He moaned slightly, which made me smile lightly under his kiss.
He deepened our moment further, entangling his hand in my hair and the other cupping the small of my back to keep me balanced. My one hand was still on his face and the other lazily draped around his neck. I wanted more, much more. And that’s when I felt something break inside me. Stumbling, but still enwrapped in Rhys’ arms, I placed my hand on my chest as if I had a sharp pain.
“Feyre, what is it?”, Rhys asked, sounding more concerned than I’ve ever heard him.
“I – I don’t know, just feels like I got hit or punched almost? I’m not entirely sure?”, I giggled I actually giggled, you idiot.
Still smiling I caught a glimpse of Rhys’ expression, which was straining to smile, but something held him back.
“Rhys, its like you’ve seen a ghost, I’m okay, see!”, and I spun around in my sparkling dress to show him I was feeling fine, just a little hiccup in our moment.
He whispered “what have I done.”
Well what in the heavens did that mean? Did he regret kissing me? But I thought-
He was mumbling to himself. Why was he worried about me anyways he seemed like the one who was not all with it right now.
“Rhys, Feyre! Come upstairs and look at this view with us!”, Mor’s lilting voice traveled to us as she spoke from the doorway. I smiled at her, silently telling her we will be right there.
But when I turned back around to the railing, Rhys had disappeared…

normal… what was normal… what did you ever know about normal… you were an alpha, your pack already had an alpha one of you had to go…
you and Dean had been friendly rivals from the get go, but when you presented as an alpha he didnt know what to think…
you both had to grow into the roles, reach your 21st birthdays before the council of wolves would have you both fight for the rite of Alpha, where the looser would become an omega… no two alphas can co exist in one singular pack…
you were one of those types of wolves whose breeding had not been thourally instilled… you had always been told that you would one day have to fight for the rite to lead the pack.
to be the one that makes all the calls for every single decision that the pack needs to make.

G O T 7 PT. 9
"You're a monster." Guerin hissed to Charlie as she did her best to blend in with the crowd.
"What?" Charlie asked, baffled.
"Look at this." She held out her hands to show Charlie the outfit that had been selected for her. A black sequence crop top with a roaring trex head and red pleather leggings announced her presence loudly despite the amount of people.
"... okay how is it different from what you usually wear?" Charlie was perplexed.
"You didn't think I'd maybe want to blend in a little more after making a scene about falling into the pool? It's also a bit over the top even for me come on." Guerin grumbled, folding her arms across herself.
"Well when you say it like that... I did intentionally pick something loud to cheer you up but I didn't think you'd ever want to just blend in. I'm sorry..." Charlie had a smile but her reasoning was sound and her apology seemed genuine, "You look great though."
"Thank you..." Guerin sighed, "Actually I'm sorry. I'm just sensitive cause... you saw Jackson..."
Charlie frowned, "I wondered about that... for what it's worth he seems okay right now." She gestured to the Chinese man who laughed suddenly loudly with one of his staff members.
Guerin shrugged, not fully convinced, "Hopefully he's not just burying it. He seemed so sad when we were talking. It would make me feel better if he wasn't that invested to begin with."
"Wow, Guerin, this is quite the look." Jinyoung sidled up to his girlfriend, sliding an arm around her waist and did nothing to hide the amusement on his face.
"Yeah it is. And where was your fashion sense while this decision was being made?" Guerin passed at him.
"I was playing with Eneoji. But I think Charlie did an amazing job." He said, not swayed at all.
"Well I hope she got fur all over you." Guerin faked a sulk, crossing her arms.
"Oh, she did." Charlie said, opening his jacket to reveal his now tainted black shirt, "It's why he won't take off his coat."
"Hey." He looked offended by the betrayal and pulled his coat back into place but Charlie just slid her arm around him and scrunched her face cutely in response.
"Wow, this outfit is..." JB said, sucking air through his teeth and cocking his head as he suddenly joined them.
"This is all anyone is going to say to me for the rest of the night." Guerin tossed her hands up in the air.
"I mean, it's very YOU. It's just like you with a magnifying glass." JB said squinting his eyes.
"Well I think she looks great." Charlie said, defending her friend.
"Great is..." JB trailed off with a squint. Guerin felt a blow to her ego as she waited for him to finish his sentence, but he was interrupted.
"Guerin, you look straight off a runway girl." BamBam said flirtatiously, appearing next to her suddenly.
"Thank you. But I feel like a lamp attracting moths." Guerin said self consciously, still curious as to what JB was going to say.
"You should wear that to the shoot tomorrow." BamBam said as Byoungjin and Tobio joined. Both of them glanced at Guerin but they were the only ones so far with the sense to not make a comment.
"Absolutely not." Guerin responded to BamBam. "But I guess that means we don't need to wear the same outfit as last time."
"No. If you actually bring an second outfit to change into that would be better." BamBam said.
Byoungjin and Tobio were waiting patiently by the group until Guerin realized they were waiting for an invitation. She quickly introduced them to the rest, Byoungjin already knowing Jinyoung, JB and BamBam but Tobio was new to everyone.
"Noona, what are you filming for?" Tobio asked curiously.
"Ah, it's a music video for the song I recorded with JB." She said, suddenly feeling very silly.
"I cant wait to see it." Charlie said, nudging her friend.
"Yeah, once you make your debut doesn't that make Byoungjin and Tobio your sunbae's?" BamBam cackled at the prospect.
"Does it?" Guerin let out a laugh too.
"You'll always be our Noona first." Tobio assured Guerin with a straight face, only a hint of humor in his expression. She winked at him in return. Her eyes caught Byoungjin looking at JB as though he wanted to say something, which caused her gaze to travel to JB's as the others continued to talk. JB was looking at her and when their eyes met he gave a coy smile. Her mind immediately went back to his unfinished commentary from before. Still feeling raw from her conversation with Jackson she knew she was being unusually sensitive, but she just looked away from him without returning the smile. Guerin missed his surprised and confused expression, but Byoungjin didn't. After the others continued to talk and Byoungjin and Tobio finally got a chance to start a conversation with JB, Guerin excused herself and pretended to leave for the bathroom. Instead she snuck a drink from the bar and headed to the back patio, settling in one of the chairs out by the pool. She played music quietly on her phone and relaxed back, allowing herself to dissociate a bit as she sipped on her drink.
"Here you are Noona." A masculine tone got her attention. Looking up she saw Minhwan and Gabriel approaching.
"Hey boys. I'm surprised you're letting Gabriel out here." She grinned at them.
"He's grounded. Seungbin is with Insu." Minhwan threw his arm around Gabriel whose pout was very obviously over the top fake. "Can we join you?"
"Of course." She sat forward, "Are you guys having fun?"
"Yeah, it's been fun meeting Minhwan-hyung and Byoungjin-hyungs uh... hyungs." Gabriel said clunkily, "They're a lot of fun."
"He likes BamBam the most." Minhwan rolled his eyes, "He high fived him for falling in the pool."
"That tracks." Guerin said in English, knowing HEET knew the slang thanks to her and Gabriel.
"Noona, we wanted to make sure you were okay." Gabriel said suddenly, "Byoungjin mentioned we should check on you."
"You have the subtlety of a bulldozer." Minhwan sighed to his dongsaeng but didn't contradict him and instead looked to Guerin for her answer.
"Aww, you boys are too sweet." She beamed at them affectionately, "I'm okay. It's been an emotional night so I just came out to decompress a little before enjoying the rest of the party."
"Can we help?" Minhwan asked.
"Mmm... no I don't think so. But if that changes I'll definitely let you know." She patted Minhwans knee appreciatively, "You're both good boys, thank you for checking on me."
"I can't believe you're drinking again." Said an increasingly familiar voice. Guerin's smiled faded a little as she looked up at JB and pointedly finished off her drink.
"It's called hair of the dog. Drinking a little when you're hungover is supposed to help." She shrugged and turned back to stare out over the view of the sloping hills the extravagant home was perched on, cicadas and other nightlife chirping through the darkness. "Besides. It's a screwdriver. The orange juice means it's healthy."
"Does it work?" He asked, cocking his head to the side and sticking his hands in his pockets.
She shrugged, "It does if I believe it. I don't know the korean phrase for it, but in English it's called the placebo effect and it's pretty powerful."
JB nodded and greeted Minhwan and Gabriel who suddenly looked very uncomfortable with the change in atmosphere but seemed unwilling to leave their noona just yet.
"Im Jaebeom-ssi." Gabriel said suddenly, very formal. The other three looked at him, JB looked curious, Minhwan seemed worried and Guerin was confused, "Please forgive me if this is rude, I'm a foreigner so it may sound strange, but I would like it if you were sensitive to Guerin-noona right now." Gabriel finished.
JB still looked confused and a bit surprised. He looked from Gabriel to Guerin, whose mouth had dropped open before she let out a nervous laugh and covered her mouth with her free hand. Minhwan panicked and slung an arm around the younger man, covering his mouth from the other side, forcing him into a bow alongside himself. "Jaebeom-hyung, I am so sorry for his words. He did not mean any disrespect."
JB shook his head and raised his hand, "I'm just surprised is all. Would it be alright with you two if I have a private word with Guerin-ssi?"
Gabriel looked at Minhwan sideways from over the older boys hand as Minhwan nodded in agreement, pulling Gabriel up with him as he stood. They bowed again as they left, Guerin waving after them.
"May I join you?" JB asked, waiting for her nod before sitting down, also looking out into the night.
"I was just thinking it's a shame we can't see more stars despite being so far from the city." Guerin said randomly. JB looked at her before casting his gaze upward, "The light pollution isn't as bad but the house it so well lit... I thought about walking downhill a bit to see better."
"Okay, let's do that." He patted his legs and stood up again, gesturing for her to come along. She hesitated, then stood with him, leaving her empty cup behind she followed as he led the way downhill until they couldn't see the house anymore, "This should be good, right?"
"I think so? Our eyes will have to adjust before we can be sure." She said.
"Okay." He sat down again and laid back, patting the ground next to him.
"Ohhhh you think you are so cool right now don't you?" She said with a chuckle.
"I am pretty cool, yeah." He grinned at her as she joined him on the ground. "But not cool enough." He said after she had settled. Guerin turned her head to look at him, "I think I upset you." He said with a frown.
"Yeah, I think so." She sighed and looked back to the sky.
"I'm sorry. I don't know what it was, but if you tell me what it was, I won't do it again." JB said sincerely.
Guerin groaned and gave a small flail rolling away from him suddenly, "Aaaahhhh its dumb though." JB had to press his lips together as he tried not to laugh outright at the sudden tantrum from the older woman. She sighed before speaking again, "Tonight's been emotional so I was already sensitive." JB's hidden smile faded, "But when you were being critical of my appearance earlier it really bothered me."
JB sat up suddenly, "I was being critical?" He thought back on the interaction trying to remember. Guerin peeked through her fingers at him. "Oh, oh no! I was teasing you, I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings! I like your style, it's unusual and fun. I admire that you aren't afraid of attention, but it seems so natural-"
"Okay you don't need to overdo it." Guerin interrupted, still peeking through her fingers. JB stopped and looked embarrassed, his ears reddening slightly but went missed in the dark.
"I'm being genuine." He said sounding a little defensive.
"I appreciate that. And thank you for explaining and apologizing." Guerin dropped her hands and tugged on his sleeve, pointing to the sky when he looked at her, "Look, can you see the stars now?"
He looked up, "Oh... yeah." He started to lay back, then stopped suddenly. He pulled off his oversized dark gray cardigan, tossed it across Guerins body, then laid back in only his tshirt to stargaze with her. Guerin looked at the cardigan then back at JB appreciatively. Slipping her arms through the sleeves rather than argue with him she enjoyed the soft material and his scent now surrounding her as they stargazed in silence for a few minutes, before they headed back to the party.

Guerin had arrived early and was doing what little she could to help BamBam set up as they waited for JB.
"JB-hyung said that coming out and seeing you fly Mihi for the first time inspired him to write this song." BamBam said as they chitchatted.
"Yeah, he was curious how I trained her for free flight." Guerin nodded.
"What did you tell him?" BamBam asked curiously.
"Well, the first part is building and strengthening the relationship. Before any flying can happen she need to actually has to want to come back to me. That means I need to be more exciting and rewarding than anything she may discover on her own. Any punishment or force someone might be tempted to use only damages that relationship. Then she learns the mechanics of flying, how to move through tree branches, the cue to fly, the cue to return, all protected and in controlled circumstances, until finally all we have left is actually trying free flight. In order for that to be successful is eventually just trusting each other and going for it. She has to trust me that I'll be here and be worth returning to, and I have to trust that she finds me worth returning to. You saw yourself sometimes things go wrong, but we work together to overcome those hardships and we can keep flying. I really do approach all my relationships with a similar mentality." She trailed off, seeing BamBam had stopped working and was looking at her thoughtfully
"Ah... sorry, I should warned you it was a long explanation..." she mumbled with a sheepish grin.
"Yeah it was long." He said unable to resist teasing, "But actually it gave me an idea."
"I'm not late this time and I'm the last one?" JB trotted up to the two of them.
"Hyung, just in time. Do you two have plans for the evening? I have a couple extra scenes I want to shoot." BamBam explained eagerly.
"I didn't have solid plans..." JB trailed off, glancing at Guerin.
She looked nervous but slowly nodded, "Yeah... I'm free."
"Perfect, let's get this first part going then." BamBam rubbed his hands together. "So for this part, it's like you're just getting to know each other." BamBam explained, "Guerin, you sit on that bench like you're waiting for JB, JB you're gonna jog up and you'll greet each other."
They followed his instructions, Guerin standing and they bowed in greeting as though they didn't know each other well yet. Guerin couldn't help a nervous giggle and covered her mouth before forcing herself to drop her hands, "Sorry." She said to JB, "This feels silly."
He quirked a brow and held back a laugh, "You're the one making this weird."
She stuck her hip out and placed a fist on it in an exaggerated manner as she looked up to the sky, "I have no idea what you mean." They both giggled at the ridiculousness of the situation. BamBam called for a cut.
"That wasn't bad considering the video won't have any of your audio. He teased and Guerin hid her face again as she giggled in embarrassment.
"I'm sorry! I'm not a good actor!" She called back.
"Let's take another one." BamBam replied with a knowing smirk.
They managed a few more shots, including JB running off to get them drinks from a vending machine and attempts to skip rocks, which Guerin turned out to be more proficient with than JB and she absolutely lorded it over him off script. He tried to grab her hand at her last throw prompting her to dodge away from him and it led to a short game of chase until he caught her as she rounded a tree and the two giggled until BamBam called another cut and they remembered they were being recorded and separated dutifully.
"You two should just date already." BamBam said daringly as he reviewed the latest footage. "I'm not even giving you direction on this and look at it."
"Ya." JB said with a warning tone, resting his hand on the back of BamBam's neck, "Don't embarrass Guerin-noona." Guerin surpressed a smile at his protective response, but she didn't blame BamBam for his comment. The footage did look like a genuine couple.
"Sorry hyung!" BamBam managed to shrug away from JB's grip with a grin. "Let's move on. Change clothes to your other outfits and move. We're gonna shoot the scenes where you're in an established relationship."
These shots required more direction from BamBam. There was more direct contact and physical closeness than Guerin was mentally prepared for. With the setting sun at the park they were shooting at the scene was romantic already. They held hands and walked arm in arm.
"Guerin, in this part I want you to trip, JB, pull her to you in a hug." BamBam instructed.
JB looked at Guerin, "Is that okay?" He asked, reading her expression.
She swallowed and nodded. The closeness they had been exhibiting all day had been for show but it was wreaking havoc on her very real feelings. JB had confessed his feelings for her already but while she liked him she still couldn't help but wonder if they would be a good fit. Still, it was just a hug right?
She was wrong. As she tripped on an imaginary obstacle he pulled her into his arms and she felt her doubts melt away. At first her head was pulled into his shoulder but they separated enough that her eyes met his. He blinked once, slowly like a cat and she inhaled sharply before biting her lip nervously to resist pushing more.
"Yeah okay that's good." BamBam brought them back to earth and they separated quickly, "We don't need to do that again." He sounded both innocuous and lightly teasing as he wrapped up the shot.
"Okay. Both of you go home and get ready like you're going out for a night on the town." BamBam instructed. Both of them looked at him questioningly and he sighed, "It's for my last second inspiration."
"Yugyeomie!" Guerin exclaimed happily, approaching BamBam and seeing his tall best friend with him, "What are you doing here?" The next part was taking place in the city, like friends going out for drinks.
"Hello Guerin-noona." Yugyeom responded politely with a shy smile and a respectful bow.
"Yugyeom-ah is helping with the shoot, I needed a third." BamBam responded to Guerin's inquiry.
Yugyeom was dressed simply but fashionably, matching the tone BamBam had requested Guerin and JB consider; to pick outfits for a night out. "You look so handsome!" Guerin gushed at the younger man who grinned at the compliment both flattered and embarrassed with the attention as he muttered a humble thanks in response.
"He knows he is handsome." JB's voice said in a teasing tone as he stepped up behind Guerin, causing her heart rate to increase and her skin tingled at his proximity before he put a few more inches of distance between them.
"Hyung..." Yugyeom whined with a pout.
"Oh he's just jealous that you're such a cute lil baby." Guerin cooed at Yugyeom.
"Noona, I am an adult man you know." He said turning on his devastatingly handsome charms.
Guerin crooned playfully, "Ooohhh yes I see that." While JB and BamBam visibly cringed causing Yugyeom to break character and hide his embarrassed smile by covering his face and dropping his head, "You might be a man but you look like a cute Yugy to me." She shook his arm cutely as he whined.
"Not to interrupt Yugyeom-ah's torment but we should get started." BamBam said as he reluctantly slid into his director role. It was fairly simple, Guerin and Yugyeom would be playing friends and they meet up with JB who would witness their closeness and have to react to it in his role as Guerin's boyfriend.
Since audio wasn't important she tried to keep her acting genuine by chatting and being friendly with Yugyeom who was clearly trying to be as cool and handsome as possible. They did several shots with them spotting JB and Guerin waving him over before BamBam paused after a take.
"Guerin, would you be okay hugging Yugyeom? That way it seems more obvious that JB has something to react to." He suggested, clearly dissatisfied with what they had gotten so far.
Guerin glanced at Yugyeom, "I'm fine with it if you're comfortable?"
"You've hugged me today already." Yugyeom pushed her shoulder playfully.
"Yeah but it's different on camera!" She protested, playfully punching him in the arm. He pretended to be hurt and Guerin played along with comforting him, missing the thoughtful frown on JB's face.
"Come on, let's get started." BamBam had to rein in his rowdy actors again. They apologized and got back into position.
They started off normally until Guerin comfortably wrapped her arms around the younger man in an affectionate hug after he did something she found cute. Looking up she made eye contact with JB who had entered the frame to his spot. She beamed seeing him and beckoned him over, but faltered seeing his expression. He looked very convincingly shocked and upset, but he walked over to join them. She took his arm affectionately and pretended to introduce the two before BamBam called for a cut and the three separated.
"I think that's the shot." He nodded.
They took the same scene from a few different angles before it was time to move on to the next scene. They all thanked Yugyeom for his help which he politely accepted, saying he couldn't wait to see the finished product.
"You'd think this would be the most comfortable one but it actually feels super weird." Guerin had been instructed to look like she was settling down for the night. She had showered and put on film appropriate pajamas, grey joggers and an oversized hoodie. Eneoji and Mihi were both in the scene as she sat on the couch. With her dog next to her and the severe macaw sitting on her shoulder, she sat back into her couch with her phone that was functioning as a prop.
"You're just expecting too much of yourself. You've been doing really well." JB said. He wasn't in the scene yet so he was just watching from the sidelines.
"All you need to do is act like you're having a text conversation that is upsetting you. You can pretend to be mad, annoyed, sad, stressed, all of it. Just go with it." BamBam said.
Guerin tried to slip into character, but she wasn't at it long before she got an actual text from JB. She couldn't resist glancing up at him but he was looking innocently down at his phone. Opening the message she had to keep from laughing. It was a picture of her with a filter that put her and Mihi in funny sunglasses. She had no idea how he had managed to get the parrots face to make it into the facial recognition.
"Guerin that's the one emotion I didn't ask for." BamBam directed. JB looked at her with eyebrows raised, still acting like he hadn't done anything wrong.
"Sorry." She glared at JB then looked back to her phone. She got another text from JB not long after. She furrowed her brow, refusing to look at him but couldn't resist taking a peak. This time it was a clip of Eneoji with a dinosaur mask on. She pursed her lips unconvincingly but managed her weakness without another scolding. Instead she texted JB back.
"You are so annoying!"
He responded with another image, this one was just a selfie of him making a ridiculous face. She outright laughed in surprise before remembering. BamBam sighed and Guerin launched into defense, "JB is sabotaging me! He keeps sending me funny pics." She sulked back.
"Hyung..." BamBam looked at JB with an expression of suffering.
"Sorry. Sorry I'll stop." JB said through a laugh he hadn't been able to contain after Guerin't outburst.
Despite the distraction the silliness had managed to relax her. JB messaged her again and she furrowed her brow, opening the message.
Tumblr media
Whatever expressions she had made while texting with JB BamBam seemed to like. The last part of the scene involved her hearing a knock at her door, which is where JB came in. JB knocked on the door to get the timing right for reaction from the animals in the shot to look up, then Guerin stood, set Mihi on her perch and left the frame toward the door.
After shuffling the set up around to focus on the front door and putting the animals away to avoid distraction they continued with filming. Guerin opened the door to JB holding flowers and looking dejected. They did this several times, each time trying something different. The first time she just moved aside to let him in. The second time she leaned against the door and sighed before beckoning him in. The third time he was making a dumb face so she just shut the door again trying not to laugh. The fourth time she reached for his hand, gently holding his fingers as she raised her gaze to his. Meeting his eyes set her heart pounding loudly. She backed away and brought him into her apartment. Guerin was surprised she was able to hear BamBam call for a cut over the blood rushing through her veins.
"That was really great. Let's try for another like that." BamBam said as she quickly dropped JB's hand and moved away.
In the next take she held her arms open to invite him into a hug. He stepped sweetly to her arms, unexpectedly laying his head on her shoulder as he pulled her closer, like someone might if they were seeking comfort. She rubbed his back as though reassuring him but feeling his body against hers and his breath on her neck was becoming too much, so she stepped away from the embrace.
"I don't know about the hug, it makes it hard to see both of your faces." BamBam said looking at the camera with a thoughtful expression after the take, "Let's do another one."
The sixth take JB actually stepped closer to her first and took her hand. Guerin instinctively stepped back into the door but he was still alarmingly close. He had completely abandoned the apologetic expression he had been wearing before and she had to remind herself that they were supposed to be acting. BamBam called for another cut.
"That was a little aggressive JB. You're supposed to be asking forgiveness remember?" BamBam scolded his hyung.
"Ah, sorry I got carried away." JB said sheepishly, pulling away from Guerin.
"That startled me." She said, pressing her hand to her chest and forcing a laugh to cover for her reaction.

WORDS FOR MY GOD
Sing Again!
I Can Laugh and Sing Again! I give praise to the Lord. I was stricken down with pain. My friend died in a car accident. Then I ask God for help. I can now breathe again. AMEN R. L. Me He was standing next to me. We were fishing, not even a bite. Next minute Dad called to me. When he spoke, he said how proud he was of me. Dad’s forty-six slightly grey, big brown eyes and he just told me he loves me. I told him how proud I was to be his son.  I just had my thirteen birthdays. When they took me home I walked into his office; I fell to my knees without even a sound. Next minute I screamed, shouted sang out in pain. I was hysterical sobbing laying on the floor. My Mum and Brothers and Sisters and Family tried to comfort me     That night I cried a billion tear,s it took total control of me R. L. My Dad, My father died in 1977 his hand. This was a day from the inner souls of hell. Seven days later. We got to the funeral home I could not believe this was happing to me? I had come to say my goodbyes and tell you I love and what a great Dad you have been to me. I was like jelly. I could hardly walk. My mind was racing away from me. My Mum took my hand and said how proud she was and devastated the Love she has lost.   We then proceed to the cemetery. As I left, I never heard a single word no smoother sounds just the rustling of the trees. My Dad and Mum took us to Church each week. I know also Dad found God.  He was about twenty -three. I never forget that day that Dad said he loved me.   RIP Dad xxx R. L. My Life, and your years on this Earth (flashbacks) everything was in black and white. (Memories) I remember 1963 John. F. K Kennedy was killed in Dallas. My teachers cried. Not me. I was in grade three. Superman, Davy Crockett on TV. Walt Disney every Sunday. Now I’m retired I am nearly 63 life, in the end, life has been good to me. I have six children, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren Now everything is in colour now as I sit in my rocking chair. I'm sorry for those people I have hurt along the way. Greatest Story This is the Greatest Story I have told I was lost; I could not see, there was darkness all around. My life was not my own as adults controlled me. I was taken away at seven years old and forced to flee my Mother. My father tried to kill me and he serious injured me. He had such a hatred of me I was so upset I was forced to leave my brothers and sisters and family. The only thing that saved me was my GOD

Two little baby boys Father, I knew that it would hurt, when she moved away. She took my two little baby boys, their Golden hair and their big blue eyes They are my pride and joy; I would die for them. I would move Heaven and Earth.   My heart aches and my pain, I see their faces every day. I cannot get over this pain. As the years go on their memory dwindles in the back of my mind slowly fading away. One day there was a knock at the door, two young men were asking after me? They said is Dad home? This was when I realised they had gone from little boys to men. I fell to my knee’s crying. That’s when I realised God had brought them back to me. I then thanked God in my prayers R. L. Talk with God God, what am I?  Am I a man? I was lost I have no future I have no faith People point the finger at me and stare I wear slum clothes I’m unshaven look like a bum I don’t give a dam until a priest found me He said there is a meaning to life; he showed me the way God has a plan for you, he brought me clothes, and I had a shave and a haircut He brought me new shoes and asked nothing of me.  People would stare at me they did not know me The world to me now is a different place, for me to walk and talk with God; he has won my heart, my soul

As a child, I was a little seven-year-old boy who suffered such a traumatising miserable childhood. I would suffer such horrific injuries. Broken bones. Beaten to an inch of my life. 1961 I was covered with the terrible bruises after the most savage beaten by my Father. Then I was to be tragically sexually abused. By adults. Employed by the State Government of South Australia. I have seen the face of this evil. The face of these monsters? They have the face of the Devil?  No, the face of evil and terror is left on the face and in the minds of every lost and frightened child. Perhaps it will expunge the hate and tragedy I have seen in my life. You know they have hurt me all my life. R. L. Friends are hard to find I only have a few I can’t thank God enough when he sent them to me They are Good People who raised three children, their fine Grandparents Mrs A, is so special, she is so kind, she has a great heart, and a great mind, and she is ahead of her time. Mrs A is not easy deceived or lead by fools Mrs A, has MS and Kevin threatens to get in A-renter crowd he tells his little joke, magic tricks and then he starts spinning his arm like a helicopter in flight and making that sound of a helicopter flying it might be day or night or up in the clouds where we are all free the open space, the fresh air.   But let me tell you all I have never see someone like Kevin he is a man’s, man he has more religion in his one little finger than most of these fake church goers, God has a will and God had a plan for this good man, he has a heart of Gold, he is so caring and he understands me, he is a friend of mine.   They have been married for over forty years I have never seen two people so devoted to each other the love the smiles, and even the giggles, the happiness the compassion they have for their EACH OVER I cannot say this enough I have been privileged to be a part of their plan thankyou xxx   AMEN R. normal… what was normal… what did you ever know about normal… you were an alpha, your pack already had an alpha one of you had to go…
you and Dean had been friendly rivals from the get go, but when you presented as an alpha he didnt know what to think…
you both had to grow into the roles, reach your 21st birthdays before the council of wolves would have you both fight for the rite of Alpha, where the looser would become an omega… no two alphas can co exist in one singular pack…
you were one of those types of wolves whose breeding had not been thourally instilled… you had always been told that you would one day have to fight for the rite to lead the pack.
to be the one that makes all the calls for every single decision that the pack needs to make.

Saeyoung Wedding Dance: One Shot
Hello everyone c: since the munchkin war has ended not so long ago, I decided to get started on the Wedding Dace One shots :,) In case you missed the others here they are, Saeran Choi, Jumin Han, Jihyun Kim/V , :) In my personal opinion, this is the most emotional wedding dace one shot I have ever written...  I cried so hard writing this one shit...some of the emotions come from within me... I hope you guys can feel the emotion :) Thank you - Savior Saeran
Why cant I fake my smile around you? Why did you have to be my biggest weakness. I am suppose to be the strong one but when it comes to you, Im always weak. What have you done to me?
I breathed in and out watching how my body slowly releases the stress that it has been carrying. However, that moment of release only last a few seconds and then the stress comes back again. I looked at the mirror and saw myself. If people saw my reflection, they would see a clown who is always happy with life no matter what. Sadly, that’s not even the truth at all. When I look at my reflection, I don't even realize who that person is. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard my best man knocking at the bathroom door. I opened the door and saw my brother/best man, Saeran Choi, and I give him a big old welcome smile. He didn't even look at me while he walked in and closed the door “How are you feeling?” he asked with sincerity. I gave him a quick glance and walked towards the sink to take a better look into the mirror “The real question is ‘how are you feeling brother’, you look like an adorable penguin!” I managed to say with a chuckle. I noticed his stern face expression because of the mirror and I noticed him walking towards me. He put his hand in his pocket and took out a long black box and opened it. I was shocked seeing chain with a cross in the box.  He looked into my stunned eyes and took out the chain from the box and showed it to me “I know that I caused a lot of trouble for you and (y/n) and I may not say it often, but I appreciate the both of you so much. You two are my family and I uh love you um b-brother” he said softly. He then proceeded to put the chain on me “Now while I fix this, why don't you tell me how you are really feeling?” he looked up with a smile on his face. There are only two people who can knows the real me: my brother who has a special place in my heart, and the love of my life, (f/n) (l/n), who has the power over my body and soul. I looked at him while my act slowly breaks apart infant of him and he pulled me into a hug and I hold on tightly crying, mumbling my fears and joys. He held me tighter and I cried harder.
TIME SKIP: WEDDING DANCE
The exact moment when I heard the double doors open and the church/space station was playing the wedding song, I saw the birth of a beautiful angel. An angel god sent me and my family, to help us continue on with life. Many hours passed and we made it to our reception. Thankfully god made (y/n) perfectly for me because she didnt get upset when I mentioned months back that the wedding dance song will be a surprised. I know she may be thinking we are going to do something silly but she will be wrong. I need her to know how much I love and appreciate her. I guided her to the middle of the dance floor and signaled for the lights to dim down a bit. I looked at Saeran so he can signal the DJ to start the song for our first dance: Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion
For all those times you stood by me, For all the truth that you made me see, For all the joy you brought to my life, For all the wrong that you made right, For every dream you made come true, For all the love I found in you, I'll be forever thankful baby, You're the one who held me up, Never let me fall, You're the one who saw me through through it all
She looked so beautiful that I wondered what exactly did I do to deserve to be her true ending. She could of had anyone but she choosed me out of billion of people out there. (Y/N) decided to spend the rest of eternity together with me and I am truly blessed. I gave her a twirl while we were dancing and when she came back to me I leaned in closer so she can hear my words “Can I show my true feelings for you” I asked softly. You looked at me with your beautiful eyes and tip toed to my ear “Of course my amazing husband” you said sweetly. Ugh. Your voice makes my heart melt. I brought you closer to me and gave a heavy sigh “ Im honestly really scared to tell you but I need you to know this because you are stuck with me till we get grey and old. When I had to search you information before you can officially become an RFA member, what caught my attention was your facial expressions. It had so much sincerity that it astonished  me that someone can be so pure. After having the honor of meeting you, I pushed you away because I wasn't worthy of your love. I was suppose to be miserable because I don't deserve happiness. You slowly became my happiness and I resented you for it because I didn't want to taint you with my darkness. I would never of imagined in a million of years, that my God sent me you to prevent myself from being consumed in darkness.” The memories of our journey was hitting me like a ton of bricks. I brought her closer to me just imagining if my greatest fear did come true. What happened if I actually love my brother and my love? The thought of that made me crack up the chain I had around my heart that only I could ever open.
You were my strength when I was weak, You were my voice when I couldn't speak, You were my eyes when I couldn't see, You saw the best there was in me, Lifted me up when I couldn't reach, You gave me faith 'coz you believed I'm everything I am, Because you loved me
I was scared to show her how I truly felt because what happened if she realizes that I'm only alive because of her? I decided to ignore my negatives thoughts and lightly gave a quick dip and then brought you back to me. I caressed your beautiful skin that somehow belong to me now “Thank you (y/n) for accepting all of me. You were the only one in the RFA to laugh at my jokes and never once, never fucking one you called me weird or made fun of. You actually understood me and that scared me. It scared me because you saw through the many mask I had and I knew I didn't deserve you. I was too broken for you or for anyone else to fix. Somehow you saw past Agent 707 and Luciel and noticed how fucked up Saeyoung Choi really is. You didn't care how much I hated myself because you were always there. You were there when I cried myself to sleep, when I tried to take my life away, when I tried to push everyone away.... you were always there. Why did you pick me? Why did you decide to make me your final route? There is a saying that whoever you made your final route is the one that you were always destined to be with. Thank you for allowing me, no I'm sorry, for giving me the honor to be your soulmate. If it wasn't for your love (y/n) I wouldn't have learned to love myself. I wouldn't  even have my brother back in my life. If it wasn't for your help, we would be distance but you helped us became a family again. Damn (y/n), I owe my life to you and I'm not afraid to admit it. Thank you for making me feel human.”
You gave me wings and made me fly, You touched my hand I could touch the sky, I lost my faith, you gave it back to me, You said no star was out of reach You stood by me and I stood tall, I had your love I had it all, I'm grateful for  each, day you gave me, Maybe I don't know that much, But I know this much is true, I was blessed because I was loved by you
Just feeling your arms intertwined behind my back felt like a dream. Did I really deserve this? If this was a dream, I'm going to cherish this moment forever because if I wake up and you weren't next to me, I would at least have you in my dreams. Call me selfish but I'm glad you chose me in the end. I will forever thank the man above for allowing me to be your true ending.  Looking at your face lend against my chest while we move around in circles sends chills throughout my body. Knowing for a fact this is reality brings tears to my eyes and its finally time I told you how much I truly worship you.
You were always there for me, The tender wind that carried me, A light in the dark shining your love into my life, You've been my inspiration, Through the lies you were the truth, My world is a better place because of you
I grabbed your hands from behind my back and brought them to lips. I kissed it ever so gently and looking into your beautiful eyes killed me. I am alive because of your beating heart. I am happy because of you gave me a reason to be happy about something. Just waking up next to you, whether you are snoring or not makes me happy. When we have petty arguments it made me happy because it just meant that we were going to come out of it stronger. Emotions started to flow throughout my body because the chain around my heart finally broke. I fell to my knees and started to sob while my hands clenched around yours “You were always there for me, when I thought all hope was lost, I looked for your hand to hold to reassure me that everything was going to be okay. You are my strength (y/n) choi and every ounce of cell that created me belongs to you. You own me because you prevented me from giving up hope on love and life.” Tears and love were flowing out of my body because I was finally giving my all to you. I hold your hand even tighter because I'm not finished yet “The tender wind that carried me, when I was down you helped me get back up. You were there defending me from the world because you knew how badly the world hurt me. You looked past my faults, and accepted me for who I am!! You are my shield and I promise you that I will catch every star and hand it to you. You deserve every thing in the world and I promise that I will fight for you and make sure you are happy, because your happiness fuels me into becoming a better person (y/n). A light in the dark shining your love into my life, when you tried to love me I tried to stop you because how can you love someone who died many years back? You didnt care because you knew there was still life in my trying to fight the darkness and I couldn't do it alone. You extended your hand to me my love and I thank you for not letting me die. You've been my inspiration, through the lies you were the truth, you were the one (y/n) to show me the truth of it all. When I found out the truth about Rika and Jihyun, you were there to keep me steady. You were also there to show me that its okay to be sad. That its okay to feel worthless because they are all reasonable emotions but you also showed me that I cant be in that state forever. You helped me become a better Saeyoung and I will forever worship the ground you walk on. I look forward to the day I can tell our children our love story. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you (y/n). My world is a better place because of you, and when I take my last breath looking into your eyes our story will rewind quickly in my head before I close my eyes for the last time. Just know this (y/n), when the time does come for me to leave this earth, just know my soul and heart will forever stay with you. Just know I will be protecting you and my brother even when I'm not there. Just know, I will be waiting for you my love so we can spend paradise together”.
I'm everything I am Because you loved me
You helped me back up and embraced me into a hug. I hold you tightly wanting our body and souls to become one. I notice that you pulled away ever so slightly giving room for your hand to signal someone to come over. I tried looking but the tears in my eyes were giving my vision a hard time. I then felt a delicate hand wiping my tears away and I was able to see my brother having tears in his eyes. I cleaned his tears away just like when we were little kids. I then grabbed (y/n) and Saeran closer to me into a big hug “Thank you for everything. I will am forever thankful for the both of you. (Y/N) I love you and thank you for making us a family again” I felt the arms of my brother and my wife wrap around me and I knew from this moment I had two rocks in my life. I would die for this two people. They are my biggest weakness and I will forever show them how much I love them till my last breath.
Thank You.
Thank you (y/n).
I’m everything I am, because you love me (y/n)
I love you my angel.

Into the Fire ||
Castiel was the only son of a rich man, who’s wife had died when castiel was really young. Because of her death, Castiel was raised by his over-protective father, and a kind and caring nanny.
Castiel was shuffling against the chair he was sitting on. “Do we have to interview another Assistant?” Castiel asked, worriedly. “Well you scared your last one out of here without a two weeks notice, Cas, and you cant go without one, so I figure yes. The next interviewee, is Dean Winchester. Benny recommended him.” “I dont want an assistant.” Castiel complained, “I’m an adult, Dad.” He argued.
“Shut up, Castiel. Sit still, and behave. I don’t want you scaring this assistant off.” His father warned. “Yes, sir.” Cas agreed quietly.
A servant led a tall handsome man into the living room, “Sirs, This is Mr. Winchester.” “Thank you.” Michael dismissed them. “Please, have a seat.” He motioned to the couch across from himself and castiel. “It’s nice to meet you.” Dean said, taking a seat. “This position is for a live-in assistant for my son, Castiel.” Michael said, motioning to cas. Cas chewed his lip, looking down at his hands. “As a live-in position, you would be given two hours a day, to take care of your own personal responsibilities, and one day off a week.” Michael explained, looking at him. “Okay.” Dean agreed quietly. “What is the schedule like? Do I set it?” “The scheduling is based around what you and castiel will discuss. You can discuss any scheduling needs with him once you get the job.” “Okay.” dean agreed softly. “Why did the last assistant leave?” Michael looked at castiel. Cas swallowed nervously. “Um- We had a disagreement.” Cas said quietly. “So he left.” “I see.” Dean said quietly. “So when would I start?” “As soon as possible. Your background check already came in, and I’m willing to push the paperwork in today.” Michael responded. “That sounds wonderful.” Dean agreed, looking over at Michael, and then Cas. “I’m honored for the opportunity.” “Wonderful.” Michael said. “We’ll have our car take you to get your stuff.” Michael replied, getting up and shaking deans hand. Castiel waited until dean left to look at his father. “So-Was it really necessary for me to be here? You’d already decided to hire him.” he accused. “I had.” Michael agreed, looking over at castiel. “You needed to meet him.” “I could have met him after you hired him.” Castiel sassed. Michael grabbed him by his shirt. “Don’t you sass me.” He hissed. Castiel paled. “Yes sir.”
“Go and work in your room, I’ll have your new assistant up there once he’s settled in.” Michael instructed. “Yes sir.” Cas agreed, walking off. He walked over to the kitchen on his way to his room, stopping to see benny. “Hey, Ben?” Castiel asked, quietly. “Yeah?” He answered, looking up from the vegetables he was chopping. “Your friend, Dean-” Cas said, leadingly, as he slipped up onto the counter and looked down at his feet, “Is he nice? Dad just hired him to be my assistant.” “He’s a good guy, Cas. he’ll be nice to you.” Benny said. “Now, get your ass off my counter. Aren’t you supposed to be doing something else?” “Dad wants me to go to my room.” Cas complained. “I just- Is he really nice?” He asked. “Like he’s not going to get mad I’m gay and then storm out and make my dad mad at me?” he asked quietly. “Kyle was an asshole.” Benny replied. “Go- your dads got a temper when you dont listen.” “Okay. Later, Ben.” Castiel sighed, slipping from the counter and trudging up to his bedroom. He plopped on his bed and stared up at his ceiling. It was painted like a night sky, and he imagined he was floating in outer space. He and his old assistant had kissed on this bed- under the false stars. Castiel had refused to sleep with him- Kyle got mad, and left- quitting. Castiel sighed, looking up at the ceiling, and thinking about space. A while later, There was a knock on the door. “Castiel?” Dean asked. “You can come in.” Castiel sighed, sitting up and crossing his legs on his bed. “I’m sorry to bother you. I’m not really sure what the real requirements of this job are- but there are some guys moving my stuff into a room down the hall.” Dean shrugged. “Dad just likes there to be someone around for me.” Cas replied quietly. “You just keep me company, or whatever. Kyle didnt do much.” Cas shrugged, “You can-You can do whatever you want, I guess. Dad gives tasks, like ‘make sure im studying’ and stuff but other than that, its nothing.” “What do you do all day?” Dean asked quietly, sitting down on a chair across the room from castiel. “I do workbooks, read, and occassionally go out to the garden.” Cas replied. “And I bother Benny, a lot. Oh, and I made out with my last assitant once or twice. And if you ask the maids, I drink in the bathroom, and I cause general mayhem.” “Wow, thats a lot. How do you have time for it all?” Dean asked. “I forgot to say that I smoke in the bathrooms as well.” Cas laughed, looking over at dean. “I’m a caged animal.” He explained, shifting. “I want stimulation. I make time for it.” He shimmied some. “You wanna drink with me?” He asked, smiling. “I probably shouldn't, I just started this job, after all.” Dean said, getting up. “Fine. Go settle in, I’ll see you around.” Cas replied, getting up and grabbing his smokes from a hideaway book on his desk. “I’m gonna go smoke in the bathroom. And- If my dad asks you to spy on me? Give me a heads up- please.” Cas asked, before slinking into the bathroom and lighting up. He sat on the sink and smoked, breathing out the window and closing his eyes. His dad hating when he smoked- his dad hated everything he did, really. After he put his cigarette out, he slipped off the sink, washed his hands, brushed his teeth, and walked down to the kitchen. He wanted to steal a wine from the wine cellar and get drunk. He slipped past the kitchen staff and into the cellar, grabbing a bottle from the rack. He took it back up to his study, sat on the floor, and began drinking it straight from the bottle. He was being extra reckless-he knew his father was always looking for reasons to punish him.
A while later, Dean came into the study. “Hey, Cas.” He said, sitting down with him. “Benny said to tell you that your dad was digging around in the wine cellar.” Castiel took a deep breath, then a deep long drink of the alcohol he’d stolen, and he looked at dean. “You ever been baptised by fire?” He asked dean. “What do you mean?” Dean asked. “Youre about to be, as they say ‘into the fire.’” Castiel said. “Cheers!” He laughed, standing up. “It’s about to get really loud in here-” he looked down. “You might want to take your two hours of freedom now.” Cas suggested, a little jumpy. Dean followed him to his feet. “Are you sure?” “Castiel Michael Novak!” Michael called, his footsteps were loud as they approached. Castiel shuffled nervously. “Theres a side door-it goes to my room. Take it and leave.” He instructed dean.
Dean hesitated- just long enough for Michael to storm into the study and grab castiel by his throat.
“You lying little shit- Thieving little whore-” Michael hissed, shoving castiel into a bookshelf. Dean tensed, his hands were shaking. He slipped out of the room-and out of the bedroom, and he crashed into benny in the hallway. “Hey, woah, whats going on? Where’s the fire?” Benny asked, steadying them. Dean was having a panic attack, he couldnt calm down. His eyes were wide, and he was shaking. Benny had seen it before- dean had ptsd issues, and he was used to it. Benny led him to the kitchen and gave him some ice-which he held to deans face and he used it to completely reset his body. “What happened?” Dean was calm again, but he held the ice in his hands. “Did you know that Michael is abusive?” He asked, looking up at benny. “When you recommended me for this job, did you know?” Benny paled. “Yeah.” “He’s up there right now-” Dean said shakily. “My dads a doctor, Should I call him?” “Bobby? Only if it gets bad. I forgot that- I didnt think about what seeing that would do to you.” Benny said quietly. “I’m sorry.”
“It-its fine. I gotta go check on sam. Call me to let me know if I need to bring bobby back with me” Dean instructed-before walking out of the house.
He was trembling when he walked into his house. He went to his brothers room, and sat down. Just to listen to the monitors beep.
Sam was unconscious. His condition waxed and waned for bad and worse. Dean liked to come in here and listen to his brothers heart beat. It calmed him.
He took sams hand and just held it. Sam wasnt awake very long each day- he had good days now and then, but most of the time he just laid there unconscious.
He had a strong heart- though. Dean curled up on the couch next to Sam's bed and held his hand.
Bobby came in a while later. "Dean? I didnt expect to see you home so soon."
"I think I have to quit." Dean said quietly.
"You just started." Bobby said, in disbelief. "Is the guy that bad?"
"Hes about Sam's age, a little older. Its not him thats the problem- though he has his challenges-" dean mused. "Its his dad. He-hes abusive- though I'm not supposed to talk about it. I signed an NDA."
"I'm sorry." Bobby said, sitting down next to deans feet. "Who is it youre working for again?"
"The novaks." Dean said, looking at Sam. "I didnt want to be away from Sam anyway and now-"
"You dont have to keep the job- but ive met that Novak kid. Hes a good kid." Bobby said. "And he sounds like he needs a friend."
Dean sighed. "I dont know what to do about this."
"You'll figure it out." Bobby reassured him.
