ughhhhh the way that tsukishima and yamaguchi pull off their first ever serve and block and we get a glimpse into tsukki's thoughts at that moment and he isn't thinking about how sick it felt to get that stuff block or excited about making the point itself, no, he's remembering snapshots of yamaguchi—from the first "lame" and how he started off so small behind him, to the steps yamaguchi has taken to run full speed ahead of tsukki, surpassing him not in skill but drive and passion and "cool," to the courage it took for yamaguchi to stand up to tsukki and throw that hated "lame" back in his face, and now they're here standing on the court having pulled of what is considered volleyball's perfect play together and tsukki's response to that feat, to those memories of previously getting left behind by this person he once probably saw as beneath him, is to run straight back toward him and celebrate with a smile

It’s one thing for the team to get details wrong between arcs, already pretty egregious. But to get details wrong within the same arc?

Like... small details between arcs, fine. It's a big series. I can handle that. Still frustrating that they don't have a continuity checker and that this professional team of paid writers is essentially on the same level as me, Just One Guy With A Hobby and Google

IT WAS 2 BOOKS AGO! IT'S RELEVANT TO THE PROTAGONIST'S CHARACTER ARC! Bramblestar didn't do ANYTHING he's being praised for! It was ALL from the side of the family he acted like a snot towards!

Squilf, Jayfeather, Alderheart, Sparkpelt, Finchlight. THEY are the ones who have loved him all along and reached out to him, all Bramblestar has done is use Nightheart to create a situation where he could scream at his wife.

The writing is better than usual in ASC, but I don't have enough built-up trust in them to think this is intentional. I hope it is. GOD I hope it is. I WANT to be wrong. I WANT them to be building towards Nightheart realizing that Bramblestar has manipulated him.

I'll be happy if they do it. Come on, ASC. You've got a lot going for you. I'm loving you so far. You can turn this around come on come on
