I am not really religious anymore, but a few days ago Hygeia reached out, much like Bastet did randomly when I needed her help with my cats. And I didn’t even know I would need it.
Hygeia has helped me so much. She got me through my IUD insertion last week and when my depression and health wasn’t as bad yesterday, she got me to deep clean my room. She was super excited lol. Told me it needed to be done because I could get more sick than usual if I don’t keep it clean and vacuum.
A few days ago I wanted to get some white wine for her, but I have no way to get to the liquor store. Sooo she told me she would still love to have this white wine vinegar stuff that’s on Amazon. So that’s good!
I put it with my statue of Bastet and my crystals and such. It’s a glass bottle which I didn’t know! I have other witchy stuff in my room (sprays, eggshells, lamp) but I figured it looked better there.
Yay!

Asteroid Hygeia (10): Understanding Its Signs, Houses, and Planetary Aspects
Navigation:   ੈ♡˳Masterlist
       ੈ♡˳Askbox    ੈ♡˳Sources
₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ About the Asteroid: Hygeia is the fourth largest asteroid. It was named after the Greek goddess of health, and because she is the personification of health, cleanliness, and sanitation, asteroid 10 Hygeia may be related to these characteristics in astrology. It talks about sanitation and prevention, in the current studies of astrology, an art that doesn't stop, it is currently associated with how a person prevents their health in a physical, emotional and mental way, or at least, as it should.
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥ Sources and inspirations:Sadly, it's not because I care about my health that I'm interested in this asteroid LOL. However, there is another interesting reason for me to make this type of post. Asteroids, in general, are not used much in birth chart reading, and that's okay. In my view, your birth chart is like a cake, and asteroids are just toppings. My reason for looking into asteroids is due to their history. The first four asteroids found were Ceres, Vesta, Pallas, and Juno, all women. Before their discovery, the vision of women was limited to either daughter/mother (Moon) or wife/harlot (Venus). Women were seen as nothing more than that. Even though it didn't change much after the discovery, a new perspective on what a woman can be opened up, and that's why I write about it. There’s not much sources about asteroids, Hygeia is one in the middle ground, there's more than others but it's not very detailed. My sources where this and this. Also, the image template in from minikyuns on deviantart.

Monthly Cycle of praise
Each day, depending on the number of the month, you may praise a god, goddess, or minor theoi associated with the number. This cycle allows for the learning of Greek myths daily and a deep connection with all of the pantheon. The cycle is based on Hesiod's works.
Notes:
Days which are associated with Horkos may be difficult
Hekate is praised at the end of the month. In short months, simply praise her on a new moon
Praising the gods listed in this list is not necessary, but as these days are sacred, it builds bonds. It's great to praise every God in this religion. It is polytheism, after all!

30 Days of Deity Devotion
Day 7: Names and Epithets of Athena
Name Variations
"Athena" is the name most well known to us today, but she was known by other names also. In epic she was Athenaiē, shortened to Athene. The Doric form was Athana, Aeolic Athanaa, and Attic Athenaia which shortened to "Athena" and became commonly used in the fourth century BCE.
Epithets
Alalkomene - "The Defender"
Alea - Supposedly "Protectress" or "Refuge" but most resources I have found point to syncretization with a local goddess at Alea, Mantineia and Tegea.
Amboulia - "Of Counsel," or "Counsellor"
Areia - "Warlike"
Boarmia - "Yoker of oxen" - Refers to her invention of the plough
Ergane - "The Worker," "Craftswoman"
Glaukôpis - "Owl-eyed," "Bright-eyed," "With flashing eyes," "Blue/Grey-Eyed." Having eyes with a bright, shining quality.
Hephaistia - Used in the context of the Khalkeia festival which honors crafts and artisans, in which both Athenavand Hephaistos were honored.
Hippia - "Of horses"
Hygeia - "Health," "Cleanliness"
Khalinitis - "Of the Bridle" - Refering to her invention of the bridle and having tamed Pegasos.
Kissaia - "Of the Ivy"
Makhanitis - "Contriver (of plans and devices)," "Inventor"
Nike - "Victory"
Ophthalmitis - "Of the eyes"
Paiônia - "Healer"
Pallas - Various meanings and origins are attached to this epithet. It may refer to a childhood friend she accidentally killed. It may refer to a giant she had slain and worn the skin of. Pallas could be derived from the word pállō (πάλλω) which means "to brandish (as a weapon)", or from pallakís (παλλακίς) meaning "youth, young woman." As I understand, it is more often refered to as meaning the latter.
Parthenos - "The Virgin"
Polias - "Of the City"
Polymetis - "Wise/Cunning in many ways"
Promakhos - "The Champion"
Pronoia - "Foresight"
Soteira - "Saviour"
Xenia - "Of Hospitality," "Of the foreigner"

Sun in Capricorn II (Hygeia)
The Sun enters the decan of Capricorn II on December 31, 2023 at 6:06 pm EST. Austin Coppock named this decan The Pyramid for its role and feel in oppressive and challenging systems, while T. Susan Chang named it Time and Materials, paralleling the Golden Dawn’s name for the Tarot card associated with this season, the Lord of Work — the three of pentacles. The Sun will be here until January 10, 2024 at 1:31 pm EST.
Hygeia, Goddess of Cleansing The archetypal meaning she conveys is the one of Medicine Woman, connected to the infinite cosmic healing energy. In one hand she holds her Cup of limitless potentialities, in the other, a snake acting as a lighting rod that conducts the power and serves her to perform quantum healing. Sun Talon Abraxas

''Serpent thou ART loose!'' N.M. 2024 Saturn and Hygeia spent the last few days conjucting in the otherworldy sign of Pisces. In ancient Greek and Roman mythology, Hygeia emerged as the daughter of Asclepius, the deity associated with medicine. The symbol of a single snake entwined around a staff, commonly seen on ambulances and integrated into the World Health Organization's logo, originated from Asclepius and is indicative of the healing arts. Hygeia was one of five sisters, each embodying different facets of health and well-being. Her particular domain centered on preventative medicine, focusing on maintaining the well-being of both the physical and mental aspects of the body to prevent illness rather than merely curing it once contracted.
Notably, the historical records of her cult predominantly surface in the aftermath of the devastating Plague of Athens in 430 BC, which claimed the lives of over 80,000 individuals. Despite a continuous reverence for centuries, representations of Hygeia are scarce, with few depictions and statues dedicated to her name. Perhaps the most renowned portrayal of Hygeia is found in Gustav Klimt's artwork, "Medicine," commissioned for the University of Vienna. In this piece, Hygeia stands prominently attired in orange and gold, with a snake gracefully coiled around her arm. The term "hygiene" finds its origin in her name, but its significance extends beyond mere cleanliness practices such as handwashing. The goddess Hygeia, associated with sound judgment, is dedicated to preserving the equilibrium of the intricate flora and fauna within both the body and mind. Hygeia, goddess of health, and Saturn, symbolizing discipline, may suggest a disciplined approach towards our spirituality, emotions, and daily rituals, to see where the conjuction is taking place take a look at your chart and the house it is in. Now is a good time to clear out all the dutty energy out of your life, and the set loose thou Serpent!
