Is there a Dinobot Scorn in the G1 universe?
Dear Dinosaur Determined,
Indeed, there are many such examples. For instance, in one universe, Scorn was one of two prototype models that Wheeljack and Ratchet had developed, but never completed before their untimely deaths in the Battle for Autobot City. Buried inside the Ark after Trypticon’s subsequent attack, it took a number of years of restoration before they were unearthed. Thrilled at the prospect of more siblings, Grimlock immediately set to work repairing them—or rather, he dragged Brainstorm, Highbrow, and Chromedome to the digsite to repair them for him.
Upon learning of the prototypes’ existence, the Decepticons dispatched the bestial Headmasters to secure a pair of Dinocons for their army. The ensuing battle was devastating, but the Dinobots were able to buy enough time to be joined by Scorn and Slash, and together they drove off the Decepticons.
Grimlock eagerly tried to assert his dominance as the big brother, but Scorn was indignant that, as she was technically an older prototype, she was his big sister. After a brief fistfight, Grimlock agreed to consider it. Slash, meanwhile, was quite happy to be a little sister and have all the other Dinobots spoil her. When she insisted that she was a velociraptor, not the deinonychus that Wheeljack had designed her as, her siblings listened without complaint!

The Rodimus Corner - To Highbrow, warfare is barbaric, worthy of only the most primitive. He thinks differences need to be talked about, which he does endlessly. He also uses big words no one else understands. Some think of him as a self-righteous snob. He’s Binary-Bonded to Gort, a cheerful and courageous young Nebulan.

Watched more Headmasters today and I have to say, I absolutely adore Sixshot. I have no idea why, but he’s my grumpy sassy ninja commander.
Also, they weren’t kidding when they said Chromedome and Hardhead were a couple of idiots. Poor Fortress has to babysit these morons while Brainstorm is laughing at them in the background, and Highbrow’s just there I guess.

TFP Fortress Maximus!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After the destruction of his home planet Master, Fortress Maximus was driven by rage, to kill anyone who bore the mark of evil, the ones who destroyed his world. On one of his rampages, he ran into someone who bore a different mark, who he later learns is named Prowl. And it was Prowl who offered him a proposition: join the Autobots and help prevent anyone else the pain of losing their home or continue his aimless rampage.
It was from there that Fortress Maximus joined the Autobots and created the Headmasters, a group of highly intelligent individuals. The group consisted of himself, Brainstorm, Highbrow, and Chromedome, with Hardhead as their bodyguard.
While he still harbors a lot of anger towards the Decepticons, he has it under better control.……………… most of the time.

He is. Affectionately. Kind of a freak. [Or a character that only works cause the show is written on a KNIFE'S EDGE on what amount of serious it is]

[ID: Transformers Headmasters [the 87 anime] screenshots of Highbrow, a blue and orange mech, and Chromedome, a red and brown one. 1. Highbrow speaking to Chromedome, one hand out in an offering gesture, saying "If you have to do it, I'll be your second." 2. Chromedome, just having punced Highbrow in the face, arm still extended, as Highbrow tips backwards with the force. Chromedome yelling "Go to hell!" END]

Transformers: Mosaic #222 - "The Sting Of Scorponok"
Originally posted on August 4th, 2008
Story - Josh van Reyk Art - Gareth Watson, Javier Reyes, Ed Pirrie, Cameron Booth, Greg Donaldson Colours, Letters - Joana Lafuente
deviantART | TFW2005 | BotTalk
wada sez: A simple introdump-esque vignette that tries to give one-line characterisation to the Autobot Headmasters, set at the end of The Rebirth, Part 2. Artist Ed Pirrie clarifies that Arcee is stepping on Scourge, and holding the Key to the Plasma Energy Chamber. Javier Reyes definitely drew Highbrow; I can’t confirm the attributions of the other artists to the other panels, but based on the order they’re listed on deviantART, Watson did Hardhead, Booth did Brainstorm, and Donaldson did Chromedome. See below for the inks for Highbrow and Scorponok.

It was not until tonight and I was listening to the TFU podcast as I worked that I realized all the Autobot Headmasters have head themed names.
Cerebros
Brainstorm
Highbrow
Chromedome
Hardhead
I've watched "season 4" of the Sunbow cartoon and listened to the TFU podcast discuss the Headmasters series before, but it didn't click until tonight.
(Arcee is an exception as she was created at least a year before the concept and, while there do seem to be a continuity or two that reference her being a Headmaster, she doesn't appear to be one in the actual Headmasters series.)
