back at it again with my silly drawings again asfksksgjsk but man it has been a MINUTE since i’ve drawn anything. had a random urge last week to binge watch rescue bots again after forever and i forgot just how much i loved these two. also rediscovered this tumblr account and scrolled through @bonanza-7 ‘s heatblades masterpieces so yay to that. also been crazy obsessed with tv girl lately so thought i might do a little something with my faves as a comeback piece of art, inspired by tv girl’s album cover. hope y’all like it!! <3

In Rescue Bots, it had been confirmed that Heatwave and Quickshadow had become a couple but the relationship did not last due to their personalities.

This breakup most likely affected Heatwave.

When he became director of Rescue Bots Academy, he knew he had to change. Maybe the first students who came to him didn't last because of his rough personality.

This is where Blades steps in and offers to help him change. Although his other companions may have tried to help him, Blades knew Heatwave very well and helped him change by becoming more kind and patient.

My headcannon is that Heatwave had feelings for Blades but didn't want to admit it.

Although he criticized Blades for being a coward, on some occasions he confessed that he admired Blades' loyalty.

When Heatwave left with Optimus and left his team alone, he told them what to do while he told Blades not to watch horror movies since he would not be there to help him or keep him company, indicating how patient and kind he was with he.

Both often argue over each other's behavior. Blades does not hesitate to point out the bad attitude of his leader. It's something similar with Quickshadow where they were always looking to challenge each other and Blades had to intervene.

In some missions, both stay together. They seem to understand the other.
