if it's young!mav, he's probably just a liiiitle reluctant to let himself relax sometimes

he's sort of got his tough guy persona, and he's not used to dropping it, so when you get him alone he tries messing around at first

whether that's a few too many kisses, or a pinch to your side, he guards himself a bit before letting himself go

but when he does, oh, he's like a little kitten !

he lets you run your hands through his gelled hair (gross)

and it gets all misshapen and spiky

he probably just melts when you pet his hair like that, and he'll be snoozing on your chest in no time

now older!mav is definitely less of a tough nut to crack

he probably initiates the cuddling in the first place, he nudges you over to the bed and lays himself on top of you to crush you

you can push at his chest and splutter all you want, but he's made his choice on where he's going to lay, and it's on you

he likes holding you, but he wants to be face-to-face, so you can brush noses and bump foreheads

he probably tries sooo hard to stay awake so that he can soak in the time you're spending together but peepaw definitely crashes like 10 minutes in

he’s another one who probably has just a bit of trouble letting his guard down

he’ll cuddle with you no doubt, but he’ll probably always keep you in his lap or have some sort of upper hand in the embrace

it takes a while before he’s ready to be held himself

when he does finally give in it's so soft and sweet :')

he's had a really hard day and he comes home with his eyes drooping

you've planned a movie night but he doesn't even look like he could sit through an episode of a tv show

so you lead him to bed instead, and tell him you're sleepy, cause he won't 'ruin' the night by admitting that he is

you ask to play with his hair and he lets you, but he's not sure why 'cause you just said you were tired??

you basically have to trick him into being held but once his head is on your chest and your hands are in his hair he's gone.

he ends up mumbling something all sleepy and groggy like 'mm, that's nice' and his eyes are half shut and he's so endearingly tired :')

he wants you to do it all the time now, I'd say it's about 50/50 whether you fall asleep holding him or he falls asleep holding you

Ron 'Slider' Kerner:

slider's a big boy!!!!!!!

he's big and tall and muscly, the perfect cuddle buddy

he's probably more inclined to hold than be held

but he likes it when you face him so you can wrap your arms around his back :')

he probably likes it when he's able to bury his face in your neck/shoulder/against the top of your head

like he always wants his face snuggled in somewhere warm and nice smelling

and it just so happens his chest is an excellent place to get lost yourself

so you most of the time just nuzzle right into each other and get to snoozin'

listen there's a reason he and wolfman get along so well

they're BOTH teases!!!

cuddling with hollywood is not really relaxing, because he's always pinching your sides or putting his nasty cold feet all over you, or pretending to knock you out by fake-punching you a bunch

you're just laying there and he's 'punching' your stomach, making fake punch sounds with his mouth, and if you push him away he'll pretend you've absolutely knocked him out, tumbling down onto the mattress with this dramatic thump and closing his eyes and sticking his tongue out of his mouth like he's a dead cartoon character 😭

he's like a dog you have to get his energy out before trying to rest with him or he just Won't Rest

when you DO get him sleepy, though, he's kinda incoherent when he's tired, so you'll be cuddled up together, maybe you're scratching his back, maybe he's playing with your hair, and he's just sort of mumbling nonsense until he finally drifts off to sleep

Beau 'Cyclone' Simpson:

he's just so big and beefy and authoritative that he doesn't much enjoy being coddled

he loves cuddling with you though, he gets very relaxed just laying with you

cause he likes the sound of your voice and he loves hearing about your day

he tries to listen so attentively to what you're saying, but if you're taking a little too long telling him about that batty old customer that had visited the shop you work at today, his eyes are going to slowly start to droop and he's gonna let out a big ol yawn that means it's time for him to close his eyes

and he insists you continue like 'nooo darlin' i wanna hear! keep going :]' except within two minutes he's dozing against the pillow while you talk about the old lady again

he's a simple man just talk soft and slow to him while snuggled up in his arms and he's gonna sleep no matter what you're telling him

she really likes laying face-to-face with you!!

she's a fan of spooning, of course, she likes either burying her face in your back or letting you snuggle into hers

but she loves the intimacy that comes from being pretty much nose-to-nose with you

she does this thing where she cradles the back of your head in her hand if you're face to face and she throws her leg over your waist and it gives you such intense butterflies that you need to close your eyes sometimes <3333

if you're talking to him he'll listen and nod and hum along and agree when he should, he's a very good listener

but slowly he'll start to fade a bit, and he'll sling his hand over your waist, smush his face into the pillow, and keep listening for as long as he can

slooooowly you start getting less responses from him, he's not reacting as much, but his eyes are always locked onto your face and he's got this lazy little smile on his face while he drifts off to sleep 'cause he gets to look at you the whole time :')

Mickey 'Fanboy' Garcia:

the most talkative in the whole wide world

cuddling with him is barely even cuddling, it's watching him act out his entire day

'and then payback went like this and- BAM! shot it down.'

and he's up on his knees in the middle of the bed with his arms out demonstrating exactly how they'd worked through their training exercises that day

and he is loud and energetic and you're half-asleep like 'that sounds awesome, babe.'

he isn't one to stay in one place really, he likes tossing and turning a bit before he falls asleep which means that you are also going to be tossed and turned

he's a really shifty sleeper too so you'll wake up with your face in his armpit

if you're really sleepy though, he'll settle down, he'll pull you into his chest and let you fall asleep there

but he'll probably be on his phone for a bit, he strikes me as a crazy night owl

Reuben 'Payback' Fitch:

there is no conscious cuddling with him

why?

because the second his head hits the pillow he's snoring

you can cuddle up to him but if he's cuddling up to you he's doing it in his sleep

you're actually so jealous of him bc you lay down for the night and he tucks his chin over your head or he snuggles his face into your neck and that's it.

he's out.

he's a clingy sleeper, though, so if you wanna read for a bit or use your phone it might be kind of hard

honestly it really helps your sleep schedule to sleep with him 'cause sometimes he's entirely wrapped around you and you can't move

so there's nothing to do but sleep yourself

he's like a living furnace i KNOW that man runs hot

you probably wake up sweating a bunch if you're all snuggly with him

blanket stealer. he somehow manages to tear them off of the end of the bed where they're tucked in and cocoon himself

and then you wake up freezing cold

when i said he snores i mean it he snores loud

it's sort of comforting eventually? like at first it drives u insane

but over time you come to rely on it as white noise and you can't sleep unless he's all over you snoring right in your ear and drooling on your shoulder

TOP GUN 86: FENCING ACADEMY AU

Bear with me. Hear me out. LET ME FINISH. Your local Top Gun obsessed fencer is here to give you Thoughts. Also fencing is always homoerotic so do with that what you will.

The flyboys are all in a fencing club/academy, one where they all have silly nicknames to put on their fencing jacket patches. The coach is Viper. Usually the coach is the only one with a silly nickname but it started one day and he allowed it. They all show up every other night to train and be silly together. But they're still in a class being taught by Viper and they're all trying to make it in the San Diego City Tournaments.

Maverick: He's a foil fencer, which is the most difficult sword form to consistently fence in. Points are scored by stabbing. It has the smallest valid target area and right of way is very strict (when two people hit at the same time, whoever gets the point is based on who had control of the action. This makes it very strategic). It's the form everyone starts out in. Maverick mastered it ages ago and everyone has been urging him to move up to something like Saber or Epee, which would be easier with his skill and would match his chaotic style. But he wouldn't listen and stay in foil for the challenge of it (and to annoy everyone with his unhinged tactics). He is a skilled fencer but will toy with you for a while before actually closing in for the win bc he likes to play.

Goose: He's the well-rounded guy. He mastered foil, epee, and saber. He liked them all but liked epee most of all (like foil, but with a larger target area and less strategy). He fences in foil most of the time, so that he and Maverick can fence together. They goof off all the time, and have secret handshakes when they finish their bouts together instead of just normal shaking hands. They talk and banter throughout every one of their bouts. Everyone assumes this means they're inexperienced, but when someone else fences one of them, they realize how skilled they both are.

Iceman: Also a foil guy, because he is in love with the precision and technique required. He has also tried the other sword forms, and fences Saber with Slider all the time, but he likes foil the most of all. He has the most precise and efficient style and will beat anyone almost instantly. He has found very few people who are able to beat him or even get a point against him in foil. He loves fencing the newbies and showing them no mercy.

Slider: Saber fencer, for sure. Yeah he tried foil and epee. Yeah he's decent at them. But nothing compares to running full speed at your opponent and whacking the hell out of them (sabers score points by slashing and everywhere is valid target area). Despite the love for the chaos he's actually a very refined and efficient saberist. He'll dash in and out and go for the top of your helmet.

Charlie: Instructor who works for the club. She barely fences bouts because she refuses to fence her students (no this is not a euphemism back off) but will teach all the newbies the techniques. She knows all the technical knowledge on all the forms and will ref all of the club members' and students' bouts for them (reffing is when you watch and judge who got what point). She gets along with all the students and members and is genuinely just an amazing person to see at the club every evening.

Viper: Coach. Only his friends and the instructors call him viper. He needs to be addressed as Coach at all times. He is incredibly strict and will tell everyone exactly what they did wrong, mercilessly. He normally sits in his office after training the new students but every once in a while he will come out to ref a bout and give a complete dressing down to whichever unlucky club member is goofing off and slipping technique. He keeps everyone on their toes but is a really good coach and will, if you're lucky, tell you he's proud of how far you've come.

hi love thank you for your request! this is so bad and i’m so sorry. i’ve been so busy at work and it’s been a hectic week but i guess enjoy <3

you had moved to Cornwall two years ago and in that time you met your boyfriend Tom. he came into your life at a terrible time and being with him made you come out of the negative mental state you were in and you were so grateful for him. he worked on the caravan park site, where you both lived, and decided tonight he'd go out to the pub with a few work friends which you didn't mind. you weren't really the going out type and staying home sounded so much better than going out.

you were sat on the sofa, TV playing some random show whilst you were reading 'It Ends with Us', your phone next to you as you concentrated on the book. you loved to read whether is was in your heads or reading out loud in bed to comfort Tom, sending him into a deep sleep. your reading was cut short when your phone had a non stop buzzing sound coming from it. you looked at your phone seeing it said 'incoming call from Daniel'. he was one of Toms closest friends but he never called you, he had no reason to do for him to call you made you worried.

"hey Daniel, everything okay?" you asked, balancing the phone between your ear and shoulder as you put your bookmark in your book. "hey y/n. everything's fine it's just Tom is pissed out of his head and i was just wondering if you could come get him? he's like calling your name so i'm assuming he wants you" Daniel said, making you smile shyly. "i'll be there soon, i'll call you when i'm outside" you said, walking to the door to slip on your sliders. you weren't dressing to impress anyone so pyjamas and sliders would do.

you grabbed your keys and slipped them into your pocket as you walked out the door. you locked it then made your way to the car, hoping that Tom was okay. he never usually got drunk and when he did he would turn into the biggest baby ever. he would be so clingy and cuddly which you didn't mind on you, but if he was doing that to his friends you knew he would be embarrassed when you told him in the morning. the drive to the pub was quick, it was about 20 minutes away so you didn't mind driving to get him.

when you arrived outside the pub, you didn't have to call Daniel. he was already outside with Tom, he was lent against the wall, head in his hands as Daniel tried to keep him against the wall so he wouldn't fall. you stopped the car and quickly rushed to Daniel and Tom. you could head Tom groaning and his slurred voice as you walked closer to the pair. "no man i just need y/n" he slurred, rubbing his eye. you approached the two and Daniel felt relieved, he had him waiting outside so he could go straight home instead of drinking more.

"oh y/n thank god. he's been asking about you for ages." Daniel said as you placed your hand on Tom's shoulder. "don't worry, i can take it from here. go have a good time and thank you for taking care of him" you replied sending him a smile which he reciprocated and then went back to the bar. Tom still had his head in his hands, still lent against the wall. "Tom, love, i'm here baby" you said, stroking his shoulder comfortingly, he finally looked up and his face completely changed.

he looked sad when he looked up but then he saw you and flung his arms around your shoulders, pulling you into his hold. "y/n. oh my god i missed you so much" Tom said, leaving a sloppy kiss on your temple. "hi sweetheart. you ready to go home" you laughed, your hand rubbing up and down his back. "yes i am. i can't wait to cuddle and sleep" he said as you pulled away from the hug, his eyes closed as he swayed slightly.

you smiled and pulled him gently to the car, holding his hand as you guided him along the pathway. "woah the world is moving" he said as he swayed as he walked closer and closer to the car. you laughed loudly as you finally got to the car and opened the passenger door for him. he sat down in the seat and as soon as you closed the door his head fell onto the window, eyes closed as he 'rested his eyes' as he liked to call it. you got into the car and started driving home. the whole way home the car was almost silent worn Toms small snores filling the car.

you kept looking over at Tom, making sure he was okay as you drove to the caravan. after ten minutes, Toms head moved from the window to your shoulder, getting more comfortable as he slept. you let your hand move to stroke his cheek, giving him some comfort as you drove. you arrived home 15 minutes later and parked the car as close as you could to the caravan which was the car park down the road. you took the key out of the ignition and turned the car light on. you quietly opened the car door and walked around to the passenger side to help Tom out of the car.

you opened the passenger door and gently shook Tom awake. "Tom, sweetheart. do you think you can get out of the car?" you whispered, hand on his shoulder as he opened his eyes and looked at his surroundings. he allowed you to help him out of the car and walk to the caravan. the walk to the caravan was filled with Tom slurring his sentences and almost tripping up over nothing. once you'd got into the caravan you got Tom into the bedroom and sat him down on the bed. you started taking off his clothes so you could put on his pyjamas but he stopped you by grabbing your hands.

"excuse me. i have a girlfriend and i do not consent" he said, making you smile at him. even in his drunken state he was loyal to you and you were so grateful. "Tom, love, i am your girlfriend i'm just trying to help you get into your pyjamas" you said, stroking his arm comfortingly. he looked at you confused for a moment before his face changed to content and happy. "baby, oh i missed you so much" he said, smile widening as he pulled you into a tight hug. "i missed you too. now let's get you into your pyjamas so we can go to bed" you replied as your hand went up to stroke his cheek softly.

you helped him get changed into his pyjamas and got him into bed before getting yourself ready for bed.you brushed your teeth and washed your face before turning the lights off and made your way back to the bedroom where Tom was already fast asleep. you slipped into bed and Tom immediately laid his head on your chest, cuddling into you more. "goodnight love. sweet dreams” you said, kissing his forehead as he snored loudly, obviously in a deep sleep. you let your chin rest on top of his head, letting yourself fall asleep. whenever Tom slept he always let his head fall to your chest. it was like the only thing that helped him get to sleep was the sound of your heartbeat and you loved him so much.

xingyue child after all the trauma (tm)

Xingyue child buying/sharing lunch with yanqing bc the stupid kid used all his money for swords again and didn't buy food. Despite knowing probably that if they keep feeding him he'll keep wasting all his money on swords rather than starving once or twice and then learning his lesson.

(They probably get any money spent back from jing yuan but don't tell yanqing)

Xingyue child adjusting yanqings age like a slider depending on who asks and what will get them the most benefit out of it. Wanna go to some sort of amusement park? He's 9 so he only pays half. Wanna watch a martial arts movie? He's 14 actually so old enough. Wanna get out of trouble quickly? "Sir, i'm just the attendant of jing yuans young son. You'll have to take any complaints to his father."

(They might get in trouble with jing yuan for this, but they're rather scolded by their "uncle" than a stranger)

Xingyue childs first priority being bailu, second priority yanqing. If something, anything, goes wrong, they'll pick up bailu, (and yanqing, if necessary) then make a run for either the artisanship commission or divination commission.

(Then they'll wait any danger out on a rooftop or in the forge until jing yuan or yanqing come pick them up)

Xingyue child playing with bailu. Neither of them really needs to pretend that they're younger than they actually are, but they will. Both are over 18 technically. Neither is fully grown. Both will absolutely throw a temper tantrum if only to throw off suspicion. Then they'll shit-talk about the preceptors.

(Included but not limited to: playing in yanqings room when he isn't there, playing in jing yuans room when yanqing IS there, playing in the study when jing yuan isn't there.)

Xingyue child trying to fight (and defeat) dan heng, ultimately getting defeated without dan heng making a single attack. Man's just dodging while xingyue child exhausts themself and ultimately falls on their face. Decides that dan heng is mean and will never fight him again (until the next opportunity arises) pouting all day afterwards.

(Jing yuan says he could at least block them. Dan heng claims that would be unfair, considering he's much stronger than them. Jing yuan sighs, dan heng is as stubborn as dan feng)

Xingyue child insisting on calling blade "yingxing" or "dad". That's a problem(tm), kafka never had to fix blade that often, not even during/after the story quest on the luofu.

(Because no one wants to leave the child alone with blade, even though he hasn't done anything to the child and it's unlikely that he will)

Xingyue child most likely picking up smithing (and tinkering) like yingxing and so they try to. Create. But they want blade to show them how, look at what they made, how is it etc. Nobody wants that, least of all blade, but the moment dan heng says he doesn't want it, blade will willingly go, if only to upset dan heng.

(Dan heng will be forced to go as well, to make sure "our child is okay. I mean, your child. I mean, my- no- their child. The child of dan feng and yingxing." Cue beet-red dan heng)

Bonus: xingyue child happily working in the forge, concentrating so hard on whatever they're making. Meanwhile, blade making out with dan heng, occasionally stopping mid-kiss to tell xingyue "you're doing great, keep it up." "Careful with that part, it can be difficult. You'll know what i mean" "just a bit more... [xingyue], heat the metal up a bit more.". Also, pushing his fingers into dan hengs mouth, to make sure he doesn't close it.

(If xingyue child noticed any of that (most likely not) they didn't let it show)

Also, cue blade abruptly stopping when he hears xingyue child call out "done!" Then runs over excitedly. Blade pretends nothing happened. Dan heng pretends the forge is too hot.

Chaos Activated

📝 A/N: No prompt just word dump of hilarious chaos the Dagger Squad causes… Mainly the Chaotic Trio: Maverick, Rooster, and Whiskey (Reader’s Call Sign) Oh and Reader is Slider’s daughter…! Fic based on the comments of this post.

It was a miracle that Maverick and Rooster survived the mission despite the near death experiences. The both of them had to thank Hangman and you for saving them and getting them back to the ship.

What was more of a miracle was that Vice Admiral Cyclone did minimal shouting at Rooster for breaking orders and going after Maverick.

Now they were being taken to the infirmary to check and treat for any injuries. You don’t know why the doctors and nurses even bothered trying to separate the two.

Despite their rocky past, the two deeply cared about the other. You knew Uncle Mav did what he thought would be best for Rooster by pulling his papers. It was something you and your father never agreed with and expressed it to him.

Rooster was like a cousin to you and you knew he was just as stubborn as Mav. You couldn’t help but love the two to death. (Sometimes quite literally).

The weeks passed and you all found yourselves back at The Hard Deck. It didn’t matter how much you tried to behave, you knew, one way or another, Mav and Rooster would end up dragging you into their schemes.

“No! No! No way am I going to use my daddy’s name to get Cyclone to give us another three free days to play dogfight football,” you say.

“C’mon kid. You’re a Kerner. You’re Slider’s sunshine. He’ll move earth and planets to make the Navy listen to you,” Mav says.

“When did you turn into a poet?” You ask sarcastically.

Bradley throws an arm around your shoulder. “Princess. Whiskey… We all know Cyclone is sweet on you. Live up to your name Whiskey. Use those smooth words and seduce him.”

You can’t help but start laughing. “You do know I don’t have to seduce my own boyfriend?”

Penny comes over and refills your drinks. “I can already sense the chaos activating with you three.”

“I’m heading out to the beach to get away from these two troublemakers,” you say taking your drink with you.

Penny winks at them and at that moment the rest of the squad came out from hiding. “So is the plan set?”

Phoenix nods. “I’ll go keep her distracted for a moment but then Mav and Rooster come back into the mix while Yale and Fritz get Cyclone here.”

Fanboy starts setting up the camera to record the planned proposal.

But Penny knew. She already knew that whenever the three of you got together, nothing would ever go according to plan. She started closing out tabs and closing the bar early.

All of a sudden the aviators hear shouting and see Mav and Rooster running along the beach and you running after them yelling.

A group of college aged guys were following the three of you. It was then they realized that Mav and Rooster used you as bait to steal the guys’ football to start their own game.

Bob looks around a bit panicked. “Shouldn’t we stop them?”

You can feel uncle Goose and Ice just shaking their heads in disbelief. “I know… I know,” you mutter as you keep running after Mav and Rooster.

Penny finally rushes outside. “Did I miss anything? I closed off the bar. I didn't miss it right?”

Hangman hands her some popcorn (that mysteriously appeared) and a drink. “No you are just on time.”

Suddenly you feel yourself getting thrown over someone’s shoulders. You are about to start screaming, thinking it was one of the college guys. You then recognize the backside you’re looking down at. “Oh hey!” You give it a squeeze.

Maverick and Rooster stopped running and ended up explaining dogfight football to the college guys when they spotted you being carried by Cyclone. They shake their heads.

“As I live and breathe… I never thought I’d see Cyclone running at the beach?“

“Was that supposed to happen?” Bob asks looking around. “Did we all see the same thing?”

Phoenix wraps an arm around Bob’s shoulders. “Cyclones loves Whiskey too much to actually be mad at them. Mav and Roos on the other hand,” she says grimacing.

“Wait… I thought Rooster and Mav were supposed to be the distraction so the admiral could propose.”

“Wait! Whaaaa?!??” Hangman exclaims choking on his drink.

Payback helps pay his back. “We talked about this, you idiot. Next time stop looking at yourself so much in the mirror.”

“I have the flowers in the bar’s office” Bob says.

“I have the Avenger theme song… but wedding version ready!” Fanboy adds.

“I have my suit ready!” Harvard says. “I’m ready to look good for wedding season! All those push-ups help.”

Coyote shakes his head looking over the squad. “’m just here for the chaos and snacks.”

“Soooo what's the plan now?” Penny and Amelia, who had recently arrived, ask.

They all turn to see Cyclone spinning you in a circle as he hugged your waist. The only movement that was clear to them was your nodding.

“Daddy can I please?” Solo rolled his eyes watching tv with his brothers. Y/N went in her little space ever since they got home from a park basketball game. They had to come because it started to rain. Solo was trying hard not to yell, he’s still getting use to the age regression. “No like I said the last three times, you can’t go play in the rain.” He groaned. Y/N frowned and walked away grabbing her raincoat and rain boots putting everything back. She slowly started to come back from Age Five to her grumy adult age. She sniffled wiping some tears and just got under the covers to watch tv.

‘He doesn’t like it.’

Thoughts swirled in her head as she tried to watch tv in peace.

‘Why would even try? Why didn’t you keep it to yourself?’

She groaned and turned the tv off hearing them downstairs. “How can y’all handle that?” Solo said irritated. “You have to remember man that it helps her.” Jey said as himself and Jimmy had littles before. “But she’s just acting-“ Jimmy smacked him beside his head. “What the fuck was that for?” He yelled. “It’s not acting. She’s lost. This of her way of being healed and found again. She told what hell she’s gone through before coming here living with you uce.” Jimmy hissed. Soon Roman went through the door with snacks for Y/N, she texted him earlier before while he was at the gym. He looked around and stopped his look at an angry set of twins and an irritated little brother of theirs. “Where’s Y/N and what happened?” Roman sounded protective, but as a littles uncle he was. “She went upstairs with an attitude because she wanted to play in the rain.”

Roman blinked. “I bought her a bunch of rain stuff for a reason.” He raised his eyebrow looking upstairs. “So why aren’t you up there with her?” Solo sighed. “She’s fine Yall.” Jey and Jimmy looked at each other and shook their head. “She’s not. You know that.” Roman bellowed some, the living room quiet as a mouse. “Solo when she told you about her headspace, she trusted you. She worked with you to learn. This is something that helps her.” “It helps a lot of people. You can’t just dismiss it man.” Jimmy said.

Before Roman came through the door, Y/N cried herself asleep. Roman peeked in sighing and closed her door walking back down. “She’s sleep. “ Solo felt bad, he’s technically new to this. “Cuz I just don’t understand.” Solo groaned. “Every time she tells you her past, what do you hear?” Roman said siting down. “She was verbally abused by her dad, she was sexually abused by family members, her mother passed away, she had to take care of her siblings, the verbal turned physical…” he sighed remembering the tears that fell on her face, telling him to laugh like it was funny. “Yea she went through so much, to me she’s not asking for alot. “I know it seems like a lot, but it helps her heal. It’s the best she can do.” Jey chimes in. “What about actual therapy?” Solo said. “Therapist recommended this practice to her.” Jimmy said sipping on some water.

Solo sighed and went into his head irritated at hisself now. “So what do I do?” Roman smiled. “Be patient.”

Solo didn’t wanna wake her from her nap so he stayed downstairs to help Roman make her favorite food. She loves steak sliders. But soon his ears fixed straight upstairs, like someone is crying. “Ro I’ll be right back.” Solo quickly got upstairs and Jey took over his spot cooking. He got closer to his door hearing sobbing and quiet crying. “Baby?” He walked in.

Y/N was on the bed trying to calm herself down from a panic attack. Solo quickly went to her. “Baby are you-“ “I’m sorry I’m fine!” She quickly said her eyes shut and her shaking. Solo couldn’t think straight until Roman’s words echoed in his head from before. “Hey mamas…” She soon opened her eyes and looked at solo. Her eyes puffy and she looked around. “Hey it’s ok, did you have another bad dream?” She was non-verbal. She shook her head yes wiping tears away. “Do you need a hug from teddy?” The names she use for Solo is Daddy/Teddy/papa. “I’m sorry…” solo stopped and frowned. “I’m sorry for bothering you all the time and asking you to do this mess.” Solos heart broke more. “I’ll stop. I won’t do it no more I just don’t wants you to leave..” Y/N didn’t know she was slipping.

Solo grabbed her slowly and put her in his lap hugging her. She shed more tears crying. “I’m not going anywhere baby. I promised.” Solo kisses her forehead as she cried in his shirt. He felt so bad. She needed this and he just tossed it to the side like it was nothing. “My brothers and Cuz are better Daddy’s than me..” He hissed angry. Y/N sniffled looking up at him and hugged him more. “Teddy, your nots bad…” Solo looked down and smiled at her. “I feel bad, I made my baby cry…” She nuzzled in Solo more. “You’re da best teddy ever.” She smiled. She was just happy he was there. Solo felt warm smiling back. “Hey Uncles made food!” She looked up hungry smelling the rolls and steak downstairs. “Yes they did. My little munchkin is hungry is she?” Solo smiled picking her up letting her wrap her legs around him. “Daddy?” He looked at her. “Yes baby?” “I loves you.” She giggled. His heard warmed more from his cute little. “I love you more.” “Imposstifull.” Solo chuckled. “It’s never impossible.” He said going downstairs.

A Few Weeks Later

A light storm was outside. Y/N watched it from the window scared to ask. She loved watching the rain drops drip on the window and saw some frogs out in the backyard. Solo put her rain gear by her and sat with her as she watched. “Princess, what if I told you that there is a water dragon outside?” She shot a look at solo. “And you need me?” He nodded. “If we don’t get it it’s gonna get bigger and terrorize the house!” Y/N gasped and looked at her rain gear. “Will daddy come with me?” She asked. He pointed at his rain gear and nature jar set he got for her. “You are very strong mamas daddy will just keep the jars.” She nodded and she excitedly started to get her boots on. Solo loved her smile. He helped her with the rain hat and put his boots on next. “Daddy come on!” She said giggling looking out at the patio. “I’m coming baby.” He smiled. He passed Roman who was in the study. “Hey, you’re doing great uce.” He praised and Solo nodded. “Come on teddy before the dragon gets away!” Roman looked at him confused laughing and solo just shrugged going to help his little.

“Just be patient.” Roman mumbled and smiled at the peace he had in the house.

Birthday: January 27; Age: early to mid-thirties

Aquarius, Enneagram Type 5

He/him, cisgender, bisexual (inside an open closet; he doesn't really care if people know, but he hasn't felt the need to tell anyone yet)

Holds a passion for home design. Has an...unconventional design sense?

Said passion for design is rivaled only by his passion for gyroids. Brewster's got nothing on Remiel's collection. He loves them like they're his own children. No you don't understand, at the time of typing this, he has exactly 100 displayed in his house and 190 in his storage. And his collection grows. Always. Nothing can stop it except the physical limitations imposed by house/storage space

Enjoys music; favorite genres include classical and jazz. Plays piano (since childhood) and saxophone (started learning in his twenties). Favorite K.K. Slider songs: K.K. Sonata, K.K. Jazz and K.K. Moody

He also likes fine art, fancy/expensive furniture and clothes, and material things in general. Grew up in a rich household, but was not particularly spoiled

Poor social skills. Blunt to the point of rudeness. He's the type who will walk away from someone he doesn't want to talk to, not even bothering to come up with an excuse or pretend he didn't notice them. Despite his general honesty, he struggles to open up about his deeper feelings. Secretly wants a friend and/or partner, but has more or less given up on connecting with anyone

It's okay, he has his gyroids for company. They're more fun to hang out with anyway: great listeners, expressive, and funny to boot! He loves dancing with them.

Aside from gyroids, he also prefers animals over most people (and I don't mean Animal Crossing villagers. They're more people than animal. Still preferable to humans though). Especially fond of birds (and birdsong). Might like to keep a bird as a pet, but worries that the gyroids perpetually accompanying music in every room of his house might bother it

Intensely uncomfortable with silence. Could you tell

Unrelated fun fact: he lives beside the island's graveyard

Cannot cook (see image #3). Usually buys takeout or premade food (may still burn it if it requires heating up), sometimes eats out. Wants to learn to cook edible meals but has never been able to get the hang of it. Believes he might be cursed

He has a gym set up in his house for regular workouts and yoga. Needs music (and the support of his gyroids) or won't do it

While he isn't one for interacting with fellow adults, he is better with children. The older he gets, the more he wishes to have kids of his own. He has considered adoption multiple times, but in the end, he faces too many doubts about his ability to be a good father.

I welcome questions and comments about Remiel! Not only will it give me the chance to talk more about him, but it might help me develop him more as a character :)

the Mad Dogs as the Planets by Gustav Holst (with art!)

strap in folks, this one's a long one. I'll be providing my dum dum brain thoughts, that definitely make sense to me but maybe not anyone else, below the pics. stay for the rambles or just the art, enjoy :)

also, at the very end there's a couple bonus characters

Donnie - Saturn the Bringer of Old Age

so hear me out with this one. Donnie was a hard one to figure out, while there were a bunch of potential songs for Leo and Mikey, I couldn't quite place a song for Donnie. on one hand, I really wanted to assign him Mars, just because it's as dramatic as he is lol. but it's also too harsh for him?

I went with Saturn in the end because to me it feels like an idea being formed, created and finished in a way, the trial and error of inventing. Saturn is a more emotional piece, one where you can really feel the highs and lows? Donnies emotional range doesn't show much but when it does it feels the same way. Saturn is mostly an adagio pace, (dont quote me on the tempos, this is just the way my mind hears them), matching with the way Donnie is often the one to pace himself, and be more calculated in his actions. and just like Dee, it has it's dramatic moments.

the ending movement feels like the love and peace he can only get from his family, it feels like his ninpo connecting with his brothers- or even just his brain calming down from getting overwhelmed or overstimulated

I also feel like Donnies favourite planet would be Saturn or Neptune but for two totally different reasons lol.

Leo - Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity

Jupiter is probably the most well known song of all the Planets, I almost assigned it to Mikey tbh, but I think it fits Leo best.

Leo is pretty much the definition of jollity, and yeah so is Mike, but Leo? he's bright, the "face man," he's typically seen in a lively mood.

this piece is loud, full of life, and at some points serious and more full of hope and warmth- sounds kinda like our favourite red eared slider huh. Jupiter is set in allegro, (fast, quick, and bright), reminiscent of Leo's quick thinking and agility- but also switches to a rubato, matching with the moments where he slows down and starts taking things seriously. (dont quote me on the tempos, this is just the way my mind hears them) despite being called a dumdum many time throughout the show, we all know Leo is actually really smart and calculated in most of his actions.

Jupiter as a planet is a protector, just like Leo who will do anything for his family, he brings them all together.

Leo being assigned Jupiter has nothing to do with him being the biggest fan of Jupiter Jim btw.

Raph - Venus, the Bringer of Peace

in any other iteration of Raph, I'd say he's Mars, but Rise Raph? I think Venus suits him the best.

Raph is a sweetheart. he's full of love and affection for his family, and openly shows his emotions. Venus is full of soft movements as well as harsher movements, reminiscent of Raphs tender moments vs his more serious and aggressive moments. Venus is played for the most part as an andante, (dont quote me on the tempos, this is just the way my mind hears them), in Raph I feel like this presents in how he keeps himself calm in certain situations, like when he tries to set aside his temper so he can guide his brothers in Pizza Puffs.

this is such a pretty part of the Planets, and as I've been listening to it on loop, it feels so full of love it can be overbearing, i couldn't pick out any other options for Raph, this one just fits him so well.

Mikey - Mercury, the Winged Messenger

I adore this version of Mikey. I think Mercury is a good representation of him because of how fun and mischievous it is. this is a kid who bounces around, throws random objects, and has fun with everything. Mercury has a fast pace for the most part, I'd put it at an allegro, similar to Jupiter. the piece really has a childlike fun to it, it's exactly what adhd sounds like to me lol.

Mikey is such a strong character in so many ways, the fact that he can have so much fun while still being able to get serious whether it be to Doctor Delicate Touch/Doctor Feelings his brothers, or when it comes to fighting even, is impressive considering he's the youngest- and definitely has two bad influence older brothers (cough cough, twins). Mercury is another one of the Planets that feels full of emotion in the middle of it, in Mikey these moments really present as his faith in his family. he trusts them so much, and even had faith in Draxum to become a good person. (then proceeded to adopt him as dad #2).

Anyway!

I'm not sure if any of these make sense to anyone else, and if you don't know the Planets you should definitely give them a listen.

A break down of each of the bois

Champion (Leo)

- he was found by big mama and raised to be a battle nexus champion

- very showy and confident (at least outwardly) and has the combat skills to back it up

-lou jitsu's number one fan

- used to duel wield, but no longer can due to an injury he got in one of his earlier fights

I knew immediately what I wanted to do with him cuz I wanted to play with him wanting to be his brother's champion in the show (like in the maze ep)

Mystic Warrior of The Sun (Sunny (Mikey))

- ended up in witch town

- started using his mystic powers at a young age and quickly became a master

- took out those monster dudes as a child, and so the citizens treat him like a hero (more like a deity tbh)

- decided they should keep the friendship celebration around though, because he liked it, but instead of there being a spell they just make a really big pot of soup

This is based off of the pic I tagged you.. Y/n and Mav got into bc of a boyfriend she had that was keeping from them. Two Navy dads that are legendary badasses is a little complicated. They don’t like that their princess got over boys having cooties all except brad. Bradley accidentally blurts out she has a boyfriend. IceMav stopped what they’re doing and look at her for more contexts.

Y/n is pretty much backed into a wall at this point bc she thought running would be better. Or she thought about smacking Brads head on the table. So she tells them she is talking to a boy. Ice is like well you are 16 it was bound to happen. But he better know we’ll come after him. All the fly boys will kill over the mini iceman. Maverick is like oh hell no! Boys are gross, he thinks back to all the stuff he did with Penny and Charlie. Is like no no, teenage boys are the worst. Mav has his hands on his hips and is telling Yn to blow that boy off and focus on school. Of course she has his short temper and thinks that boy is Prince Charming. Later on that week Mav comes home to see her on the couch crying into the pillow as brad rubs her back and tells her he’s sorry that boy was mean. Of course his heartbreaks for his princess, he tells Bradley to go study and he sits on the floor and pets her head.

Y/n is Tom Kazansky made over, attitude and all. Even down to the facial expressions, the bitchy face too 😂 so she is a huge daddy’s girl, follows him around like a lost puppy. She said Ice as her first word and he about died from cuteness. She only had one tooth and she shined it at him as he picked her up and kissed her chubby cheeks. But she took her first steps towards Maverick. Maverick definitely gave ice the bird when she fell on her knees at his feet. Ice knows he raises 3 kids at times.

So Y/n is about 3-4 when she has her first crush, It’s Hollywood. She liked his hair, she is the only that gets away with messing with his freshly geled hair. He chases her around the house, spinning her around like a jet. Shoulder rides that she thinks she’s controlling him by his hair. But one day she gets shy and hides behind Ice’s leg, everyone is like you know him baby that’s uncle Holly. Little Y/n has taste I give her that bc Hollywood is so pretty 😫

Ice had to drag Maverick to the car after they dropped her off at kindergarten. There was a pregnant mom that didn’t cry as much as Mav did that. But Maverick picked her up and she made a drawing of him and her in his jet. She knocked a girl down to get to her pops that day. He even brought Ser Lance a lot he was waiting in the car for her with her dad. They take her to get ice cream and play in the park to celebrate her big day. Baby Icemav has separation anxiety from her daddies, totally not their fault. They carried her around constantly and gave her kisses.

Ice was probably a commander at this point, he was gone teaching Top gun students, doing other big navy people things(idk man he’s busy). He has one Saturday off for once, so he wakes up and gets Y/n and Lance out of her bed. He sits in her high chair and turns on the radio and gets stuff for pancakes. Birthday cake pancakes, that Slider got her on when she stayed with him and his wife one weekend. Y/n is like Mav and needs 5-10 minutes to process she’s alive even at this little age. But soon she is laughing as ice is singing into the spatula to Louis Louis, Mav has Bradley in his arms has he comes down the stairs.

“Hi Princess. Is your daddy funny?” He kissed her head as he sat Bradley down. Y/n is looking at Ice at every movement he does, smiling and giggling. She kicks her feet telling Mav to let her out, he does and she runs up to ice and looks at him to pick her up. The little grabby hands and cute smile.. he picks her up and let’s her stir the batter, she thinks she made breakfast for everyone. Everyone is a major sucker for baby Icemav and they know it.

Viper is still at top gun when ice starts teaching. There’s was one time the babysitter got sick and Mav was on a mission. So Ice packed her things and walked into work with her on his hips. It’s just her and ice in a classroom as he gets his stuff ready for the day. Viper comes to check on ice like every morning, to his surprise a mini ice is sitting on the desk with a highlighter in her mouth

“Extra co pilot, ice?” Viper asked with a smile

“I’m sorry sir, the baby sitter is sick and Mav is-“

“It’s okay I understand. I’ll watch her so you can teach still. She’ll be a cute distraction but I can have pilots being over her and not in the sky” viper smiled as he took the highlighter from her

“She’s teething, sorry” Ice said hiding his blush of embarrassment

Later on Ice sees Viper’s office is pitch black besides the white glow, he walks in and turns the lights on. To see Viper, Jester and his baby girl watching all dogs go to heaven. Jester and viper are crying because it’s where the doggies go to heaven. Baby ice is hugging viper as she cried because they were crying. Ice laughs at his superiors before walking over to grab Y/n but she hides into Viper’s side then getting distracted by his golden wings on his right peck

“Uh Y/n you traitor” Ice looked at offended

“Vip” she looks at him and pats Vipers stomach making him and jester laugh. They remember Tom as Iceman not this soft dad who is jealous his baby wants someone else attention. Y/n and Ice are close so she kinda sensed her daddy was jealous so she hopped down from viper and tapped on his knee

“Up” she shined her blue eyes at him. Iceman melted instantly at her picking her up and kissing her cheeks. Jester and Viper smile at the pair.

“Bring her back, we’re gonna start Snow White” Jester smiled

Y/n waved bye bye at the older men and wrapped her arms around ices neck. Y/n has the whole base on their knees before she goes home. Toms students asked if she could come back on Fridays if they did good on hops

So glad that you are back!! And I still love all of your writing, I'm starting to think you should write this fic hahaha!

First of all Maverick would be dramatic about her being interested into boys while Ice would try to hide it but he is probably already searching up the boy. And he would definitely have his hands on his hips!

Maverick crying at daycare is definitely something that happened while Ice cried in the car, trying to say he was fine with it!

She would definitely have a crush on one of the flyboys and Hollywood is such a good choice, she has good taste! I feel like Slider would tease IceMav about it constantly!

Viper loves little IceMav from the moment he met her and he always told Maverick and Ice to bring her to work so that he could see her. He always believed she would be a great pilot one day!

Ice tries to hide it but we all know he wants to be the center of her world, especially when she was a baby and she followed him everywhere. Even now it's difficult for him to think that she isn't that little girl anymore.

thoughts on playable faves getting older, the people who make them and the people who play them

because comfy tracksuit slider dad kiryu is peak character design

spoilers for ps2 Y1/K1, Y5, assumptions about Y6 + Y7 + Y8 + Yakuza Gaiden

why is RGG so afraid of Kiryu getting older? I havent played Y6 yet but I have a feeling RGG is ok with Kiryu being middle aged. They did show some uncomfortable feelings about him being single in his 40s on Y5, but him behaving as a more mature individual is there, same as the rest of the cast (yes, even Majima, lmao).

And i wouldnt go into this tangent if they hadnt dropped that Y8 footage

(correct me if im wrong, lmao) but it’s not often that people get to play franchises that span through decades of people’s lives, like (you guessed it) Yakuza. I love that. I had been avoiding the newest RGG trailers, and I still havent fully watched The Summit™️, but I watch highlights a couple weeks ago, and it took me some more time to work on this puzzle. Most Japanese people (and other ethinicities, as far as i know) look youthful well into their 50s, when compared to white people (I’m Brazilian, so I see the ethnic mix and match everyday (on my own body lol) and how that affects people’s looks). Of course there’s levels of overall self-care, sun exposure, yadda yadda. I’m fairly certain Kiryu doesnt have a skin care routine other than washing his face everyday lmao but he takes care of himself, he exercises constantly (lol), so that helps. His face is fine, awesome beautiful skin (even though i much prefer the Y5 style, compared to dragon engine botching everyone*, but he looks great). If everything is fine and dandy. Why is that a thing?

Not only are they still bringing him for 8, and we dont fully know what that will be like, but 7 was already a cameo, so giving him more screentime on 8 doesnt make sense at all but go off, i guess. We will never fully understand why RGG has been saying goodbye to Kiryu for 6 games already and not fully letting him go. I say 6 games bc I’m considering the last 6 mainline games (6, 0, K1, K2, I’d say Y7, and apparently 8?). Gaiden and Ishin are fine, and I’m so happy about those decisions. I honestly think it’s a much better decision to keep them in spin offs if they still want bank on his brand, and give space to new characters and adventures in the mainline games (and judgement!). But then I look at that grey haired mess and im so puzzled.

And we’ve joked about him looking like a boyband member, whatever that is. *We still dont know if that’s a disguise or a midlife crisis. And if it is a midlife crisis, and they actually take that angle of him struggling with age, i’d give them all the kudos. That would actually be a bold, beautiful move.

Is milking Kiryu just a marketing tactic, or is it something deeper within RGG? Again, correct me if I’m wrong, I’ve speculated about this before, about them being uncomfortable with their character’s age. But are they also uncomfortable with handing the story over to new characters? Do they feel trapped with Kiryu being the (middle aged, totally not elder) face of the franchise?* Or maybe theyre afraid the franchise is not gonna be relevant anymore because it isnt full of lolis and shotas? When that’s never been their goal in the first place? Yakuza has always been about having fun well into your 40s, because life isnt over once you turn 30. And japanese people fully know that. The west is very anxious about the teenage dream, the live fast die young mentality. Majima has that underlying feeling, he has talked about it here and there. And I would love if they went in on that. It’s not like Y7 wasnt successful, it was the introduction to so many people to the franchise. We know it made bank. We know people love Ichiban + the new crew. We know RGG is moving on. The bat has exchanged hands already. So Kiryu being on Y8, looking like that, on promotional material? It’s such a step back…

As of 2022, Kiryu is 54 years old. Majima is 58. There’s only so much flashbacking RGG can do so they can hide their anxiety about their mascot almost being an elder. Are they afraid of growing old themselves? NPCs have been calling Kiryu an old men since yakuza 1, and that did bother me bc *I was just playing as this baby on Y0, how dare you call him old? he’s 30 D: And I’m almost 30, so I understand my own qualms, so I can only imagine what goes on on the majority of the 50 yo department heads on RGG. And for gods sake, we know they can model awesome older characters.

The most beautiful model Kashiwagi has ever had is his Y7 one* (Sources are kinda confusing because apparently he was born in 1948? So he’d be 71 in 2019? I mean, good for him if true!! lol) (also yes, this is the asterisc. As far as I’ve looked, Kashiwagi is by far the character who’s aged the most beautifully. I cant do anything but clap lmao) Kazama is also very handsome, and he was born in 1945, so he is 60 in Y1/K1. A more apt comparison would be Sera, who was in his 30s in Y0 and 49 on Y1. He has some streaks, you know. And then there’s Kiryu, botoxed to the gods at 51 on Y8.

We know they can do this. Majima talks about being an old man in Y5, and he was 40 then. If you wanna tell me Majima dyes his hair black because he doesnt wanna see his reflection greying, I’m 100% ok with that. But it’s about time. We’ve been playing those characters for almost 20 years, we have seen almost 40 years of their lives. These are conversations we* could be having at this point, even if it’s substories. But not all hope is lost though!

I dont know if it’s the lighting, but his model on Gaiden does have some some grayish bits. And that’s 2018 (before Y8 even but we can let that slide bc technology, lol they can retroactively grey him). And given that Gaiden seems to be a lot more personal and small, maybe we could have that age talk then. I can only hope. TLDR: RGG. Buddy (lol). We are still gonna love Kiryu even if he’s no longer young (he is still beautiful). Please recognize the fact that we are all aging up, our bodies and our skin. And so are the characters we play with. Kiryu isnt gonna stop being a good avatar because he’s older. And also, let go. Ichiban is the new avatar. And people love him. Move on. We all have. If you (as people who make the company) are uncomfortable about getting older, use that opportunity to talk about that aging anxiety. We (the fans) will need that when we get to that point (whether we’re pushing 20, 30, 40, 70, 80). Because that white haired monstrosity needs to mean something, you couldve gone without it. Pls. Dont let that be a hair disaster like Y4 Saejima. You had the ps3 excuse then, you dont have that now, you know how to do hair lmao. Pls lmao

TLDR2: All I’m saying is. That white hair on the Y8 raises way too many unnecessary questions but then again Gaiden looks fine? I’m lost&confused pls help lol PS: I've rewatched Our Flag Means Death 4 times now (lol) and gray hair as a topic was never something I really thought about in entertainment, but when we think about ageless character on animation/games, I dont know, it seems like a relevant topic. Because, again, we've known Kiryu + Majima + the gang for almost 20 years. We've seen 4 decades of their lives. This is a longer timespan than... I dont know, british soap operas that go on for ages lol.

OC heights: Sanaii's sort of middling! Around the 55 marker on the height slider, I think. And while she's still young, I don't expect she'll get much taller, though she kind of hopes she will. Nerise and Marty are both max height. (Most of my OCs are max height, in fact.)

Fenumin's hairstyle: The only person who sees Fenumin with his hair down is his fuckbuddy, Mi'Enasalin. Other than that, he always wears it pulled into a bun, no exceptions.

Favorite Erna Fact: She's a surprisingly good cook! This really shouldn't be a surprise, with her father being a culinarian, but she's such a scatterbrain that most people are startled anyway. She's very good at making decent meals out of limited ingredients, and she keeps her party well-fed. (Silent Fox jokes that it's the only reason she keeps Erna around.)

Why Zephyr left: Lots of reasons, really, but it kind of boils down to just not wanting to be alone. Zephyr didn't like the isolation male viera were expected to endure - he did want a family, and didn't like the idea of rarely seeing them. He also wanted to see the world, to be a part of the world, rather than letting it slip past him. He's never regretted leaving.

Can the girls swim: Nerise actually had to learn to swim after her jump through time. She never had much cause to learn before, and only knew enough to keep herself afloat. She learns in La Noscea - she refuses to face Leviathan without knowing how to swim if she falls in the water! Swimming is one of the many skills Sanaii learns from her fathers; she's not sure if she knew how before her memory loss.

If they met: Marty would be great with both of them - much like his brother, Marty's very chill and laid-back. Nerise is a little less good with people, but as long as they're not rude to her right out of the gate, she's likely to be friendly enough, though I feel like she'd be absolutely baffled by Sanaii running around on her own - Nerise was getting into trouble at a young age, too, but she had a wyvern to watch her back! And Sanaii would... mostly be startled by the presence of Sohl Amh, honestly.

Is Sanaii expressive: Yes. She's more expressive with her ears and tail than she is with her face, most of the time.

Do Nerise and Sohl Amh make peace with their losses: Sort of. Nerise handles it by trying not to think about it, and trying not to blame herself for what happened to Ratatoskr - Ratatoskr died some hundred years or so after Nerise was pulled from her own time, after all; there's likely nothing she could have done, but the lingering "What If I could have changed things" stays with her. That and wishing she'd been brave enough to confess her feelings to Milla, and wondering what ever became of her in the end. Sohl Amh finds themself in the very strange position of being both older and younger than many dragons alive now. Even given that their own sense of time is far longer than Nerise's, the changes in the world are jarring. These are changes that should have only come to pass after a lengthy rest - but instead it feels as though they simply blinked and the world abruptly altered itself behind their eyelids.

Marty and Tsimh's plans: Neither of them had any particularly grand plans in mind before Marty's exile to La Noscea, and they haven't developed any since; they're content to settle down as farmers. They do get married once they're settled in, and start discussing the possibility of having or adopting kids.

Tsimh and botany: She does kind of wish she'd been properly trained as a botanist! It's not a deep regret, but it's there. She's happy enough to be taught by the other farmers in the area now, though. She feels like she's learning a lot.

Marty's regrets: Not really! He regrets not telling Tsimh, and on some level he regrets taking risks with the elementals and the like - but no, he doesn't really regret the life he lived, or the crimes he committed to live it. He understands why poaching is a crime, and he understands the dangers inherent in poaching in the Shroud, but it kept him alive and fed for most of his life.

Tsimh's friends and family: She writes letters to her family and friends... though her parents strongly disapprove of her relationship with Marty, and frequently beg her to come back home in their letters. When she tells them she's married him, they stop writing back to her for several moons.

Do they ever return to the Shroud: Not for a long time - Marty never does, content to meet his Redbelly friends in La Noscea, but Tsimh does eventually make short trips back home. She always comes back frustrated with her family. She's fairly sure they'd keep her in the Shroud by force if they could.

Nerise and Francel: Like most of the Ishgardians she meets, she's not impressed by Francel at first. She's in a very strange position, being what Ishgard considers a heretic herself, attempting to defend him against accusations of heresy - but defend him she does, to the best of her ability, with her limited understanding of how modern-day Ishgard works. On the advice of Alphinaud, Sohl Amh wisely stays well away from the proceedings in Coerthas, only turning up to aid Nerise in the fight against the false Inquisitor and his wyvern, departing before blades can be turned on them, instead.

She's far warmer toward Francel later, of course - and he remembers and thanks Sohl Amh for their contributions to saving his life, as well.

Nerise and Haurchefant: As mentioned above, Sohl Amh stays away during most of the Coerthas arc. Haurchefant learns about Sohl Amh after the trial, when Nerise explains to him exactly why a dragon swooped in to their rescue - but she claims they're not from Dravania, and thus not part of Nidhogg's horde. This is the same story used to later explain how Sohl Amh comes to be admitted into Ishgard, though they wisely stay out of sight there as much as possible; not everyone believes the tale, and no one is pleased to have a dragon sheltering within Ishgard's walls, companion to the Champion of Eorzea or no.

Healers: Yep! Silent Fox (SCH), Halan Soilanteaux (WHM), Stephan Fletcher (WHM), Dirthamen Renan (AST), and Faine Thievenaix (WHM) are all healer mains.

Regrets: Sanaii: Not sure yet. She regrets losing her memory, but that isn't really her fault. Nerise: Not telling Milla how she felt before Hydaelyn yanked her through time. Marty: Not telling Tsimh the truth about his poaching sooner; not trusting that she wouldn't leave him for it.

Legit so upset that the world was deprived of BatMilo, like almost to the point of almost being on the border of a single tear about it. We just,,, I WANT TO SEE THE UNIVERSE WHERE THE BUFFET OF MILO VENTIMIGLIA SUPERHERO MEDIA IS EVEN MORE WELL-STOCKED. Heroes, Wolverine anime, Ultimate Spider-Man, Gotham? Why can’t we have one more?

He was NOT too old at 42!!! Affleck got to run around in the toddler Halloween costume at 44, and Milo’s capable of looking significantly younger. He was a convincing 17-year-old on Gilmore Girls at 24 (after they stopped putting him in shirts that hugged his tits) and was playing two years younger than his age as 29-year-old Peter Petrelli (Milo is 1977 and Peter 1979), AND played a college student as Richard Thorne III in The Bedford Diaries that same year of 2006.

Furthermore, the man can ACT. He’ll change the way he breathes and moves to the point where his eyes and face and body practically take on different shapes! Peter Petrelli’s wide eyed hope makes him seem younger or at least young at heart, and Richard’s smug/focused/angsty-but-not-soulful attitude makes him super ambiguous. Hell, Jess Mariano, the legendary icon created just for Milo? That man can shift so much based on the acting— lonely little boy hiding in an angry late-teen, clearly young kid who’s been aged by the shit he’s dealt with, adult whose heart never left high school. With acting chops that make the man practically a human age slider and a clearly strapping and functional body, there’s no REAL reason that he had to be discounted for his age!

Besides, there are ways to use a man as Batman/Bruce Wayne at 42 or even now as Milo is 44 going on 45. How many of us wouldn’t LOVE to see a quasi-retired Batman keeping up with the batfam and their shenanigans? People love Batdad, and who’s just now exiting his role as the best dad on television? If we got Milo Ventimiglia as a weird semi-retired Batman bailing the Robins out of whatever they got into this time, that’s both more dilf content for us and giving the man what he wants, which is important to me!

This isn’t to say I’m not happy for The Batman existing as it does. I’m happy for Robert Pattinson taking the iconic role and bringing his own unique character to it, and for everyone getting to revel in the results. I actually really love content pointing out that becoming a superhero, especially Batman, is not a decision made by a person who’s doing okay. And Pattinson, as far as I can tell, knocked it out of the park in terms of pointing out how Bruce Wayne is a deeply uncomfortable man who’s going through it and is stunted in so many ways, which sounds like it’ll really scratch my itch whenever I get around to watching it. I’ve been liking how much of an uncomfortable and traumatized kid they made Bruce on Gotham so far, when I’m not screaming about how much I want Jason Skolimski. Hell, even I’m kind of tired of Bruce Wayne as the suave ladykiller playing with a full deck even though he’s Batman, and I do worry that if there was a BatMilo, we would get more of that. He has proven he can play a suave (literal) ladykiller in Gotham City, and I don’t know if I’d want to see them try to make Milo play Bruce as a wet cat that isn’t comfortable with anyone, because I don’t know if he could deliver that. He probably couldn’t do what BatPat did, I’ll admit that. So it’s like, even though I want neurotic Bruce, I don’t know if I want it from Milo, or if he could deliver that.

Side point, I want to live in the universe where I can make SO many Milo Ventimiglia Cinematic Universe jokes about Ogre and Batman never being in the same room, and how they could do the Spider-Man pointing meme WITH Spider-Noir! I love taking the MVCU to the brink of collapse by almost making the Milos deal with a paradox!!!!

In conclusion, it’s not too late and we CAN still have Milo Ventimiglia as a hot BatDILF occasionally kicking ass alongside the Batfam, if people would jUST OPEN THEIR MINDS!!!!
