Sometimes Cedric hated how stubborn you were. Like, really, he truly felt that you behaved like a child that tried to get everything their own way and everything else was just wrong.

He noticed. It was not fucking hard to notice that you were about to catch the worst flu of your life; you looked so sick you could easily be mistaken for someone who was dragon pox. Your sore throat, the pain in your chest, the phlegm in your chest when you coughed, and the sneezing. And still, you were bold enough to lie to his face.

“I’m fine” you affirmed, followed by a small sneeze. Cedric raised his eyebrows at you, you rolled your eyes. “Seriously, it’s nothing”

“It’s nothing?” Cedric raised his voice, looking at you in disbelief. “Honey, you can’t even talk without choking in your own phlegm”

“Don’t overreact” you bit back. “I said I’m fine”

He didn’t want to fight. Whenever you did, it was because most of the time, you behaved like the most stubborn person ever… but he just relaxed. Maybe you could get better, maybe you were right this time.

Of course you weren’t right. Do you really believe that you’re ever gonna prove Cedric wrong?

The next morning your body was hurting, swollen and sore everywhere and constantly groaning as you sat down in chairs during classes. Cedric noticed every single time.

“Can you please let me take you to the Emergency Wing?” he had whispered to you once Snape had walked past you two.

“No” you argued.

“You’re not even writing there” he pointed to your hand, where the ink had dropped a few drops since you just lifted your wrist in the air, without writing anything.

“Cedric” you called. You rarely called him by his name, it was always ‘Ced’ to him, unless you were mad. “I’m fine. Stop it”

He let it pass just one more day, but when you didn’t even show up to your first class the next morning, he truly started to get mad.

You woke up with him sitting at the edge of your bed. You gasped as you sat on the bed, desperate and confused. “What time is it?” you asked, already trying to get out of bed.

“Don’t worry, you’ve missed classes already” he interrupted. You sat on the bed, angry.

“I what!?” you yelled, as painful as it was for you to do so.

“You’re staying in bed” he demanded, big arms crossed over his chest as he stood up, standing in front of your weak body like a giant statue, demanding you to stay where you are.

But of course, you had to complain.

“How many times do I have to tell you?” you stood up and pushed his shoulder, walking past him. “I’m f-…” before you could reach the door, an invisible force bounced you back into your place. You scoffed in disbelief, and Cedric grinned, satisfied. You tried to walk again, but the same bouncy feeling hit your body, much harder this time.

“Imperturbable Charm” he explained. “You’re not getting out of this room”

“Imperturbable-, where’s my wand?” you walked towards him, almost hitting your chest to his, even though the scene was not threatening at all. To Cedric’s eyes, it looked quite funny. You, all red nose and sore throat, smaller than him, trying to act angry at him. Yeah, as if he would let you win this time.

“I’m not giving you your wand. You’re staying inside this room, so do as I say, and go to bed”

You scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest. “No”

“Oh?” he dared, raising both eyebrows and lowering his head. He studied your facial expressions for a moment before speaking again. “Baby, that wasn’t a question. Let me take care of you, and go to bed”

You bit the inside of your cheek. His grey eyes were working their way inside your brain; you fucking hated it and loved it at the same time. You groaned when you slowly saw his satisfied smirk grow on his face, he knew he already won.

Once you got yourself covered in bed again, he walked to the nightstand next to your bed. On top of it, there was a small ceramic bowl with a brown liquid inside, it smelled good. He grabbed it carefully and handed it to you. “It’s chicken and pumpkin soup” he explained. He slowly placed it over your lap, instantly feeling the heat grow over your thighs, it was still hot.

He then squat down and took his leather bag, the one you gifted him just a few months ago. He opened it, and took one small glass bottle, placing it at your small nightstand bed. “And this,” he pointed to the horrible red liquid “is Pepperup Potion. You have to drink it. Madame Pomfrey said it’s just a common cold that you have, but since you’ve been like this for days, if you’re not better by tomorrow morning, you’ll have to stay at the Emergency Wing”

You gulped, looked down at the hot soup, and then back at him. “Okay” you said in a small voice. Cedric sighed heavily before taking a spoon and sitting in front of you at the bed, next to your thighs. You tried to take it, but he quickly backed it up. He served some soup on the spoon, making sure that a small piece of chicken stayed there, he knew how much you loved to have in the first bite… or drink.

“Open” he demanded. You did so, and the warm and salty taste of the soup felt good against your tongue, already satisfied with your food for the first time in three days. You didn’t say anything, just letting your boyfriend put food into your mouth as he placed his free hand over your thigh, squeezing and soothing up and down.

“Thank you” you said after taking one particular big spoon of soup. “And, I’m sorry for being stubborn… and for not letting you take care of me”

He snorted. “It’s okay, angel” he replied. He knew how much you loved it when he called you that. “I know how hard that skull of yours can be sometimes”

You rolled your eyes. “Shut up” you laughed. He forced you into taking more of your food before it gets cold. “You shouldn’t be doing this. I can take care of myself”

“No one takes cares of you better than I do” he took the bowl out of your legs and placed it over the table.

“It’s not like I have a choice. You locked me up here”

He moved closer to you. “And don’t you like it?” he asked. “You and me, locked inside your dorm-…”

“Ced!” you gasped in disbelief before he bursted out laughing. “You’re supposed to be taking care of me, remember?”

“Excuse me, am I not doing it?”

You placed a hand at the back of his neck, slightly running your fingers through his scalp. “No. I would say you’re more of a distraction”

His face got closer to yours. “Am I?” he leaned in, but you backed up, surprise.

“Aren’t you afraid you’ll get sick too?”

“I really don’t care” he said before softly placing your lips over yours. Kissing Cedric always felt like kissing the smoothest and plushiest cloud. His lips were warm, and the way he captured your lips between yours was always the hardest thing to separate from whenever you broke the kiss. If you could, you’d kiss him forever.

He leaned back and placed his forehead on yours. “Want me to give you a massage?” he asked.

“Yes, please” you groaned. He laughed.

“Okay, okay” he stood up “But before that… your medicine” he took the glass bottle and shook it in his hand.

“Nooo” you whined, hiding under the covers.

“You have to drink it, honey” he tried to uncover you, which was already hard enough since your hands gripped onto the sheets with amazing strength.

“No!”

“You won’t get better unless you drink it”

“I already feel better” you lied.

Cedric found your head hidden under the blanket and gave it a light smack. “Liar” he panted.

After fighting for some time, Cedric promised you a chocolate frog after the medicine. He stayed with you for the rest of the day, only going to his own room when your roommates came back to your dorm to sleep, not leaving without kissing you first, and getting rid of the charm he had put around your bed.

It still felt weird when Cedric took care of you like this. You knew he was someone that cared for the people he loved, but you never thought it would go as far as staying with you in bed for a whole day, missing classes and risking himself on getting sick too.

But the truth was, Cedric loved you more than anything in this world. Taking care of you was the least thing he could do after you agreed in giving your heart and soul to him.

Oh oh yeah I wanted to talk about this scene that u redrew it’s so POWERFUL.. in the commentary about it, directly before the car breakdown, Jimmy said to be talking to his 20 year old self. him crying is him finally giving up on having faith. of doing things the right way. Nobody will think of him past his flaws. He finally resigns himself to his “fate,” the one that chuck told him :) where he said that Jimmy’s never going to change. And the EXIT SIGN represents that :)) So great.

In a way, jimmy died there. That’s the end of him and the beginning of Saul. Then in his next scene he talks to Kim and is perfectly fine. Jimby DIED and he just moves on I’m so normal about this,, bro would take his feelings to the grave fr my boy has so many issues ✊😔

first of all THANK YOU!! it means a lot u enjoy the silly drawings :)

ive just woken up so i will spare you a big paragraph response dissecting the intricacies of that scene since i think you explained it better than i ever could BUT that scene, and that episode in general obviously is one of THE most pivotal moments in jimmy mcgill’s life i think. he sees the way people treat kristy esposito firsthand, only viewing her for her flaws, her mistakes, and jimmy so clearly sees himself in her- it mirrors the way chuck has thought about jimmy all his life. jimmy even repeats a segment of chuck’s final conversation to kristy, saying that she won’t matter all that much to the rest of her peers. it’s such a masterfully crafted scene and i am SO glad that winner is one of the few official better call saul scripts that we have access to online, so you can see all of the little written insights regarding how this scene effects jimmy and whatnot. (there’s a great and heartbreaking scene direction of jimmy crying in the car, i can’t remember what it says verbatim but it talked about like. jimmy viscerally ugly crying, like the type of crying where there’s snot in your nose and you can’t stop until your head starts hurting. and it’s just. ouugh it’s soo so real and it makes me so so sad). winner is one of my favourite episodes in the whole show by far because it’s so so heartwrenching and ties in a bunch of facets within jimmy’s life leading up to that moment, it’s so good.

THAT SILLYFUNNY LAWYER NEEDS TO GO TO THERAPY. NEEOOOW. NOW!!!! i know, just like with heisenberg in brba, a lot of people try and pinpoint the exact moment jimmy became saul, and im personally a firm believer of it not really being one specific moment, and rather a gradual shift. but if i had to choose one, it’d be this scene 100%. he even takes the name saul in this episode! like you said, he finally accepts the things that his brother, and the legal landscape in general have been saying about him for ages, and it destroys jimmy, but saul learns to embrace it and wear it with pride.

You weren’t feeling yourself lately. It seemed as every single inconvenience in life would bring you one step closer to breaking down. You could barely muster the energy to get out of bed or respond to the millions of texts waiting to be opened on your phone. Luckily it was summer vacation, no school to go through and fake being okay.

Your plans for the day weren’t very eventful, the general idea being snuggled under the blanket scrolling through tiktok for twelve hours. Another notification popped on your screen against your will (you still don’t know why you hadn’t turned off the notify anyway feature) but it was enough to catch your attention.

loml: Darling, are you doing okay? Please just let me know if there’s anything I can do

A feeling in your chest erupted as you read his words, a smile starting to form on your face. Leave it to Rui to somehow fix things in an instant.

are you busy right now? can i see you?

loml: Never too busy to miss out seeing you. Come over, I have something for you ;)

You unplug your phone and throw on a hoodie (Rui’s, of course) before grabbing your keys and walking to his place. It wasn’t far, a mere six minute journey. He opens the door before you get a chance to knock and greets you with a soft expression. He grabs something from the kitchen before gently putting his hand in yours and leading you to his room.

“A spoon…?” You say when he hands you one of the objects in his hand.

He chuckles in response, “You’ll see,”

He pulls you in bed next to him and allows you to rest your head on his chest, his thumb tracing patterns on your shoulder.

“Let’s enjoy today, but tomorrow I expect an explanation, alright, Princess?”

A tub of your favorite ice cream is handed to you as he turns on something to watch on his laptop.

“I love you Rui, thank you for always being here,”

He places a warm kiss on your forehead, lingering for just a second longer than he should, “‘Till death do us part,”

okayy heres my tour ranking (note that there isnt an official tour video for red OR eras so this probs affects my ranking,,, more for red than eras bc i see eras content every single day online anyway)

speak now world tour - okay i may be biased because this is my favourite album,, but even if it wasnt this would be her best tour (in my opinion),, i feel like in her old concerts she was so theatrical, and parts of it kinda looked like a full broadway production,, also the iconic elements like the lyrics on the arm, also shout out to the live album recording of this bc i listen to it soooo much and its amazing and perfect and show stopping etc etc im literally gonna list a bunch of iconic moments right here: THE HAUNTED BELL, the fireworks during dear john, the koi fish guitar with the light up tree, the gold fringe dress (DROP EVERYTHING NOW) the ballgown, just the wholle thing is the best thing i have ever seen

eras tour - this tour actually is killing me with all of the nostalgia watching her sing through and acknowledge all of her old albums and past selves (except debut, rip😔). and i especially love all of the details from past concerts she has (like the fearless spins, the sparkly & koi guitars, the over head hand heart) and also the new visuals for existing tours (like the old taylors in glass cages for rep) AND the visuals for the albums that hadnt been toured before (lover, folklore, evermore, midnights) i just think that she really did her albums justice (again, apart from debut☠️) and its insane that the show is so long 3+ hours

reputation stadium tour - karyn the snake is the coolest thing ive ever seen. also the ready for it intro with the hooded bodysuit outfit is ICONIC,,, i love the choreo on this tour, like the part of i did something bad where taylor gets lifted up like a cheerleader (AHHHHHH) and i love the quiet long live / new years day moment on the piano,, its so nice

the red tour - like i said before, there isnt a tour movie for this one so i dont know as much about it, but i loveeee how fun it is, i love the ringleader outift and circus theme for the closing song, we are never ever getting back toghether (my favourite part of the show) and i love the unnecessary hairflips during all too well😭

the 1989 world tour - this tour feels like her biggest one (even though it isnt), its like the most pop artist thing ever, its less theatre-production like than any of her other tours and it feels less personal? that being said its obviously very iconic, im forever obsessed with the wildest dreams/enchanted mashup, and that one out of the woods bodysuit that she only wore once for some reason, + the FOREVER iconic rock version of wanegbt BUT THE WAY THE TOUR MOVIE IS EDITED IS SOOOO ANNOYING LIKE IT SWITCHES TO A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE EVERY 2 SECONDS😭 anyway i really do appreciate this tour bc taylor really did give it everything she had, and looking at the miss americana documentary, u can tell it was really hard to have put on that show with what she was going through

fearless tour - this is ranked last but i actually really like this one, its cute. her vocals werent as good as they are currently but idc because this show was so funny,, it had the iconicccc throwing of the red chairs in forever & always and shoudlve said no in the rain!!!!!!!!

this day has been fucking crazy.

first i miss a physical therapy appt bc the guy who’s installing my wifi arrives early. it’s excruciatingly awkward but things were okay. little did i know.

a little later i have some amazing ice cream. orgasmic. then sit down to write, right? but then a WASP comes in thru my open window that i keep open for my cat. i have no swatter or spray (yet) and i’m deathly allergic.

i take refuge outside my bedroom door, sweat beaded on my forehead, three books stacked on top of each other in hand. it’s clinging to the high part of the wall and i don’t have any balls so i creep as close as possible before hurling the books at it.

it seems the battle has been won, but there’s no body. i turn over every stone, searching and searching. i comb thru every nook and cranny.

but the fruits of my labor have been lost. it disappears.

i kid u not ten minutes later i get an email. my favorite band?? probably merch but let’s check. and OH MY GOD THEY RELEASED A SINGLE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 10 YEARS?? i’ve adored them my childhood, they haven’t released music since 2013, i gotta listen after i’m done writing.

i sit down. the wasp. my sworn enemy. it COMES BACK. i make another retreat, gathering up the bulk of my weapons: a small canvas, books, a brownie pan. it was hard fought. it clung to the ceiling this time, i couldn’t swat it, but i knew it was either take the risk of anaphylactic shock or go to ask my neighbor if they have a fly swatter. if u know me, u know what option i will choose

I THROW A BOOK AND RETREAT AGAIN. then, by the glory of god, i creep back in the room like an assassin and ITS SHADOW. I SEE IT BEHIND THE CURTAIN. three books in hand i leap onto my bed and smash that bitch to kingdom come.

then, when the dust was settled, the battlefield ripe with strewn books and canvases and heavy art supplies… i finally sit down and listen to the new single.

my mind is blown. my middle school self ascends.

i am now a different person😔i’ve seen hardship… and when i could trust no one but myself i overcame it. glory be.
