idk if you wanted a response for the "What if nobody likes xyz person, do they just die?" idea under anarchist thought, but i think the reason it's brushed off so often is because in a lot of areas with mutual aid networks, at least in my experience, this has happened and either there were people involved who didn't mind the shitty person and helped or everyone gritted their teeth to help anyway.
i don't have an answer to "Well what if they dont", because that hasn't ever been an issue in any anarchist collective ive been in that already exists. same with more strenuous tasks like medicine, there's some diy hrt communities in my local anarchist community too and specifically our bathtub joe has delivered hormones to her rapist with the protection of a few people she trusts and a pocket knife if they tried anything.
i don't know if a lot of anarchists interact with you in good faith, and a lot of tumblr anarchists are baby leftists at best, so i wanted to answer even if your reply to this was dismissive
to be clear: i know and talk to a lot of cool anarchists, including friends and mutuals and comrades. the vast majority of anarchists i know -- "the best of the anarchists", as lenin once put it -- are serious and intelligent people worth enaging with, and while capitalism remains the order of the day, my political allies.
that said, i think you've slightly misunderstood the point i was making -- i was not discussing the bathtub joe situation to say "no hierarchy means people die, checkmate anarchists" -- i'm sure my hypothetical scenario could be resolved happily! rather, it is to illustrate that in a system with no formal hierarchy, there are going to be material and mechanical reasons that put someone in a position of de facto authority over someone else. if you get something that you need to survive from someone (or a group of someones) that person has power over you -- & if you Live In A Society, you will always need things from other people to survive. even if they don't excercise that power maliciously, it still exists.
& maybe that isn't an intractable problem! but i think anarchists need to start from a position of acknowledging that power is real when they talk about how things should be organized & i think they very often don't

We talk a lot about Rick saying he knew he was in love with his son's best friend, but we need to discuss Michonne's love for, and loyalty to this man since they met. He's always been the one for her.
oh for sure, she chose him from the beginning even if she wasn't fully aware of doing so. btw, if you haven't seen it already, i would recommend this post by @glamaphonic (which is basically required reading in my opinion) for the full trajectory of michonne's feelings for rick.
while I don't necessarily think she was in love with him since day one, you're absolutely right in that it was building from the moment they met. these are the things that stick out to me but let's be real it's not a comprehensive list because she loves him so much. she loves him so so much!
the way she pretty much instantly decided the prison was safe and that she wanted to stay there because of rick. not just by understanding why he was mistrustful of her, but by seeing how he had built a legitimate family from the way he reunited with carol and thanked daryl for taking care of judith. it took her five minutes to clock him as a legitimate leader and has supported him ever since. so much so that in 7x12 she tells him, completely honestly, that he should lead all of the communities. she genuinely admires him, and thinks there is no one better or more capable than him (of course, that's not true: she is lol i'm always so ticked by how surprised she is when he asks her to lead with him in 7x12).
when she sees rick having hallucinations, instead of treating him like a wild animal that you should only approach slowly and carefully (like everyone else did) she sees herself in him and goes out of her way to make him feel better. if anything it actually makes her trust and understand him more. and she gets him to crack a joke and smile!
the fact that not only was she not angry, but told him she completely understood that he had to consider giving her up to the governor, who she *knows* is a psychopath. that SHE of all people was the one to empathize with him for having to make that choice? that is truly bonkers when you think about it. a level of loyalty and understanding and care that makes very little sense considering how they still barely knew each other then. but it ~*~must have been something else then~*~
the way she bursts into tears of joy and looks to the sky in thanks after finding carl and rick after the prison. you know she would have been glad to find anyone when she started following that trail but you could tell that those two are who she wanted to find more than anyone else. and the fact that doing so seemed to restore her faith? shut up???
after she finds rick and carl she asks him "is this home? or just a stop along the way?" she was willing to stay put and build a home with just him and carl without bothering to look for anyone else. as @glamaphonic said, she claims them right then and there. (btw i noticed that a similar conversation happened with carol and tyresse in The Grove, and also with sasha and abraham in...some later episode idk which one, but they're in an office building. i just thought it was interesting! i wonder if the carol/tyreese instance was a nod to the comics?)
rick thinks that killing a man with his throat is the worst thing he's ever done. certainly carl saw it as monstrous (as it made him think he was a monster too, for being too similar to rick) even daryl backed away from it. only michonne saw it for the heroic act it was and it made her fall in love with him. and she made him feel better too. again, she sees a kindred spirit in him as someone willing to do anything, including things most people would not do, to protect his child.
she is always ready to back him up and fight with him, as well as for him. the only time she disagrees with him is when she knows there is a better option for them, and even then she's gentle and supportive while she convinces him there's a better way (directing the group to alexandria, "i'm still with you", the fight against n*gan, the end of towl 1x04, probably more that i'm forgetting). she considers him her equal in every way, and considering how self-reliant michonne is, that says everything.
okay but seriously the EASIEST way to piss michonne off is to talk shit about rick, talk shit to rick, put your hands on rick, or even just look at rick in a way she doesn't like. she just starts yelling and/ swinging, which is hilarious because she's normally so collected.
on the other hand the only thing that makes michonne lose her shit completely and genuinely panic is if rick is legitimately in danger (the end of 6x09, the bridge)
if she thinks he's dead, she straight up just. stops. mid battle. just drops her weapon and stops. i'm almost glad we never got flashbacks to the time immediately after the bridge because it might have been too devastating to watch.
she never rejects him. even when they're at odds, she's still goes out of her way to show him she still supports him (5x16, their kiss in 7x08).
rick straight up would not have survived losing carl if he hadn't had michonne. she is so loving and patient and gentle with him even through her own grief it's incredible. she loves him SO much (and i have to point out, rick is the same for her. as devastating as carl's death is, watching them work through it together was beautiful).
she is always trying to ease his burden and be a legitimate partner to him. there are countless examples of this but the big one for me is how she considers n*gan her responsibility after season 8. rick made the call but she backed him and kept backing him even though everyone was against them, even when they both had doubts. she completely meant it when she said she wanted for them to make all of their decisions together and for once he's not completely alone as a leader.
speaking of the n*gan thing. michonne stands in maggie's way until maggie asks her what she would have done if it had been rick who had been butchered in front of her, if she could have just let that go. definitely, the answer was no. just like rick couldn't have if it had been michonne.
(because she can't live without him anymore than he can live without her).
she was flipping over dead walkers for months after the bridge and did not move on for over 6 years because she could *feel* he was still alive despite all evidence to the contrary and also simply because there was no one else she wanted. it's him or no one. just as it's her or no one for him. you can actually see her flinch a little toward the end of her kiss with ezekiel.
wearing his clothes and wrapping them around herself like a hug when she really really missed him
talking to him long after he was gone
setting off to find him on foot over nothing more than a hint that he was alive
all of the ones who live. like, that would honestly need its own post but do we even need it? that show dialed this love story up to like a twenty. she spent an entire episode saving him from himself. almost died trying to find him in the first place. jumped his ass out of a helicopter. her faith in him and them saves the entire world.
truly, her response to his proposal/vows is spot on: "it could only ever have been you." it was always him, it was only ever going to be him. it's him, or it's no one.

I'm having thoughts about the Jedi and romance and UGH
Listen to me
Listen
(This is a shitpost, please do not reblog to argue with me, it's not for that. This is me, an a-spec individual with a lot of feelings on how society affects the things we view as important, venting in stream of consciousness.)
"Missing out on love" isn't something that matters as much when your society isn't amatonormative
"But they aren't allowed to get married" what if they don't want to?
"But they aren't allowed to romance" what if they don't want to?
When your culture is one that emphasizes compassion for all, and the most important bond is that of child and teacher... Don't you think that people might just not think of marriage as something worth striving for?
And from @jebiknights:
Honestly the only reason it bothers Anakin is bc he already met Padmé when he became a Jedi tbh i bet it wouldn't even bother him as much if he hadn't met her and already had visions of marrying her In general though yeah lol, that's one of the things i kind of miss about legends, is they didn't always deal with the attachment/romance/marriage thing well but you consistently had obi wan exes even before satine where they were like yeah we love each other and always will but we have no need or desire to get married or continue this
When the world around you doesn't emphasize marriage and romance and all that, then wouldn't you view cultures that do as a tad odd? Not weird in a bad way, just different.
I just keep thinking about the real world and how so much of the obsession with marriage and so on is a sociocultural thing. You don't want a big white dress because it's a bit white dress: you want it because it is the symbol that your culture has been pushing on you since you were two. Girls are taught to fantasize about weddings and marriage and to like A Certain Look for it, sometimes to such a degree that they can spend decades in denial about things like their sexualities.
And we're unlearning that as a society, people are being more critical of the institution and how they engage with it, are starting to question what it is that our media teaches us, asking 'why is marriage the most important thing in a girl's life, or in anyone's life' and generally moving towards a world where marriage exists but is not treated as a universal life goal
But the Jedi are just. Already doing that. They are already Not Teaching their children 'you should want this.'
And when you aren't pressured into wanting something like marriage... why would you be offended that your community says "you can have that Legal And Religious Status, but not with us. We'll still be your friends, but we as a community are not compatible with that legal and religious status barring a handful of specific and necessary exemptions."
Just
Marriage is not an inherent human/sapient want
Companionship is! We are biologically wired to be social creatures! We are biologically wired to, on the average, want sex, as well! That's how a species continues!
But marriage? A signed sheet of paper? That's not... inherent.
Fidelity and monamory? Sure, maybe. Plenty of species mate for life. But... humans have been proving that's a choice for most of history.
Other species are other things but anyway
Even if we remove marriage, specifically, and go to discuss attachment as being fidelity and exclusivity and devotion to another...
IDK how to talk about this without just going "devoting your life to a single person for companionship, romance, and sex is not only not necessary, but actually kind of mentally draining and a bad way to support yourself, we all need support systems and if you value one person's friendship or companionship more than others, that's not inherently a bad thing, but if you define yourself around each other or start doing shit like Covering Up Major Crimes That Hurt Real Innocent People (or committing said crimes) then. Uh. That's a problem."

I was talking with someone about just how canon the ineffable husbands are in good omens and I brought up how Gaiman said that what they have is canonically a love story (which is really reflected in the show, with their moments of vulnerability towards the other, their despair at the thought of losing one another, their comfort with eachother, the way they stick together through millennia even when they're never trying to, etc), but they don't have labels, as they don't have genders and the human conception of intimacy eludes them as ethereal beings that aren't human
And the complications with that
Because this person I was discussing with is not as versed in fandom discourse, and so they're only now finding the vocabulary of "queer baiting" to talk about that Sherlock show
And so they're like "I hope I see Crowley and Aziraphale absolutely eat eachother's mouths, it has to be canonized" and I'm standing here like. It is canon though. Like they won't add some "hetero romance" cop-out last minute. They are canonically in a love story. What's interesting is how the label-less queerness of it can also explore non-binary aspects and an aroace perspective on what "love" is
And they're bummed out because if they don't "absolutely eat eachother's mouths" it doesn't feel as canon to them. And I'm still standing here in aroace like. Bro. There are so many forms of relationships. A kiss on screen doesn't have to make it any more or less canon
But at the same time, from the amatonormative perspective, I get how the kiss on screen is seen as the end all be all. Because in general media, the main pairings will have the kiss at the end. And they will live happily ever after with that
Before the kiss it is only as canon as the kiss is predictable, and after the kiss, you can point to that one scene as "the moment it was canonized for realsies despite even people in the show making constant remarks about this being an obvious thing"
And I kinda hate it
I just wish the whole community wouldn't have to keep its guards up like this so much to discern whether something is coming from a genuine place of wanting to tell a story for a queer audience or about a queer subject or if it's all just a ploy to get our money, spit in our faces, smile at the traditional homophobic crowd and fund some conservative party with it
Because then we wouldn't have to play it by the boring straight rules. If everything points to it being obvious, then why is an intense kiss necessary? Why is it all you want? Why can't this represent a qpr? Or a loving relationship where intimacy in the form of a kiss just isn't something the characters want? Or a more open thing instead of being a purely monogamous arrangement? Or something completely new, a dynamic you can only describe in an essay lest you don't make their chemistry justice?
Aren't all of those just a much more under-thought about queer dynamics than what "I want these characters to kiss eachother until they can't remember their names on screen or else it isn't canon enough" can convey?
But at the same time, without something as concise and strong in media language, how do you make sure it won't all stay in just subtext and the reason it looks like clear text to you is because you're starved for queer stories and have become way too accustomed to reading between the lines?
I mean, it's also been proven to not be an absolute in instances where the text goes ham in letting you know what it's saying, when it's not implying, it is just telling. For one, Rose and Pearl in Steven Universe never did share a kiss on screen, and nevertheless we all know what was going on there
Idk, it's complicated and it's 1am, and this is all just a ramble, but I am in my aroace hating amatonormativity mood and the sentiment that characters being a canon thing without an explicit kiss bums someone out to the point they say "ok, ok, I get the whole nb ace ethereal beings that aren't human idea, but I want something more explicit because it doesn't feel canon enough" when that isn't strictly necessary for the story to get it across just got me in a weird mood and this is about so much more than good omens, I needed to try and word it out and might as well put it out there
Just. Why does queerness have to be allonormative and also amatonormative to be valid in the eyes of the queer masses necessarily? You'd think we'd figured out that queerness goes beyond just the L, G, B and binary T by now

I'm glad you liked the results of your other request T^T To be honest, I appreciate your effort of putting the links in your request. <3 Thank you, anon! ♡♡ Also, a polyamorous relationship with Dazai and Chuuya? wbaisgwkshjs I really love the idea of being in a poly with them<33
Tumblr media
Despite their differences, Dazai and Chuuya both have a deep respect and affection for each other, and they're both equally devoted to you.
You initially met Dazai and Chuuya while working for the mafia, and your reputation preceded you as someone to be feared and respected.
Because of your dangerous reputation, it took some time for you to open up to Dazai and Chuuya, but once you did, you found that they were the only people who truly understood and accepted you for who you are.
Dazai is always teasing you, flirting with you, and trying to make you laugh, while Chuuya is more reserved and quiet, but he always has your back and is fiercely protective of you.
You have your own unique dynamic with each of them: with Dazai, you share a deep intellectual connection and love of mischief, while with Chuuya, you share a more emotional, intense bond.
Communication is key in this relationship, and you make an effort to check in with each other regularly to ensure that everyone is happy and comfortable.
Jealousy occasionally arises in the relationship, especially on Chuuya's part, but you always make sure to address it and reassure him of your love for him and for Dazai.
You have a special whistle that you use when you're about to finish someone off in battle, and both Dazai and Chuuya find it simultaneously terrifying and arousing.
You all have a deep appreciation for the macabre, and you often spend nights discussing death, the afterlife, and the meaning of existence.
Despite the fact that you're all involved in the dangerous world of the mafia, you find solace and safety in each other's company, and you know that as long as you have each other, you can handle anything that comes your way.
𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐨 :
You, Dazai, and Chuuya had been working together for a few weeks now, and while you were still hesitant to open up to them completely, you found yourself slowly letting your guard down. You had always been considered dangerous enough to warrant others keeping their distance from you, but with Dazai and Chuuya, you felt like you could finally be yourself.
One night, the three of you were out on a mission for the mafia. You were all dressed in black and carrying out your tasks with the same silent efficiency you always did. It wasn't until you were finishing off the last of your targets that you let out a whistle, a terrifying sound that echoed through the empty warehouse.
Dazai and Chuuya looked at you with a mix of awe and fear in their eyes. "What was that?" Dazai asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"That's her way of signaling that she's about to finish someone off," Chuuya explained, his eyes never leaving you.
You could feel their eyes on you, but you didn't feel self-conscious. Instead, you felt powerful, knowing that you had the ability to strike fear into the hearts of your enemies. You turned to face Dazai and Chuuya, and they both looked at you expectantly.
"You're something else, you know that?" Dazai said, a smirk on his face. "I think I'm starting to understand why people are so afraid of you."
You couldn't help but chuckle at his comment, and you could see the relief in Chuuya's eyes that you weren't angry with Dazai's teasing.
"Let's get out of here," Chuuya said, breaking the tension. "I don't want to stick around any longer than we have to."
The three of you made your way out of the warehouse, and as you walked side by side, you could feel the closeness between you growing. It was as if your bond was strengthening with each mission you completed together.
When you arrived back at your safehouse, you all collapsed onto the couch in the living room, exhausted but elated at a job well done. You found yourself sandwiched between Dazai and Chuuya, and you couldn't help but feel a warmth spreading through your chest at the sight.
"Hey, I have an idea," Dazai said suddenly, breaking the comfortable silence that had fallen over the three of you. "Why don't we all do something together tomorrow? Like a date, but for the three of us?"
Chuuya rolled his eyes at Dazai's suggestion, but you could see the smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "What kind of date?" he asked, his voice teasing.
Dazai shrugged. "I don't know, we could go to the amusement park or something. Or we could just hang out here and watch a movie. The point is, we'll do it together."
You felt a flutter in your stomach at Dazai's words, and you knew that this was the start of something special. It wasn't just about the mission anymore. It was about the three of you, together, as a team. As something more.
As you settled in between Dazai and Chuuya, ready to fall asleep, you knew that you were exactly where you were supposed to be. With them, by your side.

I am here actually to appreciate your post. I saw a blogger’s post saying The sign would have been ‘successful’ had it got filled with fantasy and romance and limit action to 10%. I wondered why that person, who says BL is all about romance, watched a show whose genre is action. Then I saw your post about people watching many shows to stay in fandom and I agree. Also you are right about dramas with a complex story receiving heavy criticism. Everything (even lack of proper plot or conflict) is exempted in a romance drama. No wonder most BLs are confined to ‘2 boys and their jealous & crying moments, routine conflicts enhanced by Escola or leads explaining how important Nikon printer is for their relationship’
Well damn hit me in the feels with this appreciation I'ma get all shy and shit.
I always wonder if by "successful" people mean in terms of critical acclaim, story telling, or monetarily. When it comes to Thai shows - and some please correct me if I'm wrong - it's difficult to tell how "successful" they are terms of audience reach/monetarily because there's no easily verifiable information. Like, there's Youtube numbers sure, but The Sign as an example, aired on Channel 3 what were it's ratings total on that channel? Idk, does anyone know that? Sincerely asking lol
Personally the way I like to judge a piece of media is what I call the Roger Ebert method; he often judged films based not solely on whether they were "good" or "bad but by how successfully they accomplished their goals.
If you read his review of Space Jam while it's clear Ebert doesn't think the movie is high art, "You can watch the movie on the sports and cartoon levels, and also appreciate the corporate strategy that's involved. [...] It is difficult for an actor to work in movies that combine live action with animation, because much of the time he cannot see the other characters in a scene with him. But Jordan has a natural ease and humor, an unforced charisma, that makes a good fit with the cartoon universe."
Ebert praises that the film, while filled with obvious product placement and banking on both nostalgia for the toons & star power of Jordan, accomplishes it's goal of being a family for that can be enjoyed by adults and children, and also the ability to blend techniques of live action, animation and 3D rendering.
I bring this up specifically b/c when I see "reviews" of shows in BL - the most common form of meta I see in BL fandom as a whole and that's not a knock just an observation - it's usually always about the narrative. Nothing about the filmmaking. And if there is discussion about he filmmaking it's usually misinformed or worse misinforming - no that's not what aperture means, yaoi framing isn't really a thing in film, the t-shirt is really just a t-shirt, etc, etc.
And like I get why. Fandom is more about story, what the words on a page or what the characters on screen are doing and saying. It's easier to talk about the amazing communication two characters have b/c you don't really need a film knowledge to discuss that. Which is a factor in why I think shows with lower stakes, more streamlined and straightforward plots get praised at a higher, less diligent and harsh level, than shows that are a bit more daring. They're less challenging in structure, they take less risks, so there's less to critique, and there's less room for a show to disappoint.
There comfort food, rather than trying something new at the restaurant. I'm not saying this is a bad thing, again, this is just a general observation.
To me, The Sign is miles better than Cooking Crush on a simple technical level. I only watched one episode of Cooking Crush and I found it pretty mediocre at best from all technical points: acting, editing, cinematography, directing, storytelling.
This isn't to say Cooking Crush is "bad" or that even if Cooking Crush was "bad" people shouldn't like it. I don't give a fuck if people like it, good for you chase the things that spark joy! I like lots of "bad" media, have y'all ever watched Jason Takes Manhattan?
For me, The Sign, like Space Jam, accomplishes it's goals and those were ambitious goals. An action fantasy BL that actually lives up to that premise and looks good?? The fight choreography looks great considering the obviously budget??
Like one of my issues with Laws of Attraction - aside from how painfully disinterested those kisses looked - was the fight choreography was bad.
The characters very rarely land hits in a way that looks real, or even marginally real. I can only speculate they didn't hire a stunt coordinator and/or couldn't hire stunt doubles so there was a worry of injury on set (for both reasons).
This isn't a disparagement on the actor(s) either, like stunt work is difficult and it's important to have professionals on set who can walk an actor through the steps so both them and others don't get hurt. Jackie Chan is probably one of the best known actors alive for stunt work, but watch how many times he fumbles and potentially hurts himself to the point where other actors are actively worried for him:
youtube
So yeah I'm going to give The Sign it's fucking gold star stickers b/c aside from some missteps in the gun handling - to many one handed gun fights but even then it wasn't all the time and bullets ran out of ammo! Y'all don't know how exciting for me that was to see - the fight scenes look damn good.
I understand the work that went into them, I understand the pre-production time that it took for the crew and cast to learn that and filming them well is another beast too.
There's a couple scenes with shaky cam that I dislike, but god do I love that first long take in The Sign. I love how good the CGI looks overall again, considering what is probably less budget than Black Christmas (2019).
I'm admittedly, fucking picky about what I watch b/c I'm really lazy and prefer watching films in general. I don't really like TV all that much, but if I am watching a tv show I wanna be impressed with more than just the characters talking to each other. Especially if said show is 12 hours or more.
When I'm looking at a piece of media - a comic, a novel, a film, a tv show - I'm thinking about stuff like "what were it's goals, and did it accomplish them? How was the filmmaking? How was the narrative structure? What is the time/place/culture this was made in?"
I'm not sure if people are arguing if The Sign was "successful" in terms of narratively, monetarily, or critically.
In reality we can only really speculate on how successful a Thai BL is based on data that's not not entirely accurate - social media, youtube stats, awards, etc - and even then most of that is based off international audience.
I can glean that 2gether was successful for gmmtv b/c it got a second season and a film, pretty much skyrocketed Bright and Win's individual careers but again, and created a cross country alliance for activism. But even all that is still speculation not facts (except the alliance that's a real thing that happened lol).
[This is all regardless of my own feelings regarding the show which is not kind. But feelings have nothing to do with individual discussion about how monetarily successful or accomplished a show is or isn't.]
Like it might be valid speculation on both shows but it should always come with a disclaimer of - these are not facts. Also, what is "popular" or "successful" can and will be dependent on individual countries too.
Take Cutie Pie for example, I would argue that it wasn't super "successful" here with American fans, but given how overwhelmingly popular Zee and NuNew are in both Thailand and Korea, I would then argue that the show was a success in Thailand and Korea. So was Cutie Pie "successful" or not? I would say yes!
Because "success" isn't and shouldn't be measured only by how western fans receive a piece of media.
In regards to The Sign, I'd argue it appears to be very successful with only the partial data I have at hand - social media which includes places like twitter, facebook, tumblr, the success of their sold out showing for the finale, a special episode, etc. If people argue it was unsuccessful in terms of narrative, well that's debatable and I have no interest in debating why the show is good except in terms of technical filmmaking and storytelling.
And even then it's a pointless debate like or dislike whatever just don't lie or mislead people regarding film terminology and techniques or harass people because they did like A Thing or clog up the tags with annoying posts about how you didn't like said Thing.
Overall, I don't give "reviews" on things I watch either positive or negative cause, well, I'm lazy lol, I don't believe putting how much I hate a show in it's tags and a thorough rating system would be to much work. I actually like how My Drama List rating system works, I just find most reviews on it to be Annoying lmao. Like giving Kinnporsche a 5 or below is absolutely bonkers to me but whatever es lo que es. But I also don't think my thoughts and opinions on shows are that valuable in terms of discussion.
These are mostly my general thoughts on fandom at large and it's not directly at any particular people its just observations at large across various social media platforms.
I think if you like more squeecore shows that's totally gucci, I just wish didn't proposite that 1) those are the only valid shows in terms of BL/queer media and 2) didn't overhype them to such sky high levels

I'm sure I've brought this up before but I feel a lot more confident in it now but I'm pretty sure that I do not experience attraction, period. at least, i do not feel like i experience any emotion or feeling that can be called attraction.
Attraction just feels like such a foreign thing to me because every i try to understand it it just becomes lost on me. I can understand when someone is pretty, but i see people being pretty or handsome in the same way that i see a flower is pretty or a sunset is pretty. i do not think there is any attraction involved in that at all. I think the closest I've probably gotten to a feeling of attraction would be when i see buff women; but tbh i feel that admiration fits better than attraction in that case.
idk I just have been thinking a lot about attraction lately and how i always found myself confused on the idea of platonic attraction or aesthetic attraction because while i do like having friends and while i do find people pretty, i wouldn't call the feelings i have towards these things attraction. I'm not attracted to what i find aesthetically pleasing. I'm not attracted to any friends or people i may want to be friends with (Which the friend thing is a whole can of worms for another post with it's own nuances).
Some people may say "No you are feeling attraction, you're describing attraction" but genuinely i feel like i may not be. every time people have tried to explain it to me it never feels right. or the word feels wrong for what they are describing. People describe it as "Wanting" but that doesn't always work with other split attractions.... like people wanting to be friends is platonic attraction but....what is there to want with aesthetic attraction???? familial attraction???? same with descriptions of other attractions, everyone just has an explanation that doesn't click in my brain as something i feel.
and this isn't me bashing on people who feel attraction - I know feelings can be incredibly vague and difficult to explain and me not understanding isn't me calling it stupid or fake. It's more just me not being able to grasp something because I do not feel it. Similar to how i don't fully understand romance as an aro person who just...doesn't feel it.
idk there's no point to this post other than rambling on about attraction. I feel like it isn't discussed as much as it should be in aspec spaces. most people stop at romantic and sexual attraction but not much is explored past that point in terms of the SAM or even just the world attraction in general. Like....for a community that is built up of a lot of identities expressing the lack of attraction it's strange how we kinda don't explore the idea of attraction more outside of just...romantic or sexual...

in a follow up to my reblog from @jynxed13, i wanted to share Thoughts on the situation and essentially back up why i left and would encourage others to stay away. disclaimer is that i'm white!! so i wasn't directly impacted by the racism but as a human being who contains the ability to be empathetic it got to a point where it became abundantly clear that there would be no meaningful change.
i want to start w the fact that the channel where all discussions of the original racist incident plus the mod follow ups plus a lot of racist nonsense were all purged yesterday, so unless you were there for it and actively following along there's no "proof." i can say that a mod was racist to a server member and abused their power, and that select other mods were content to let that remain private knowledge and let the mod gracefully 'step down,' but again, you'd have to take my word and the word of BIPOC server members. idk how far that goes on the internet when nobody knows me but at least it's out there.
what is especially distressing to me is that to anyone new to the space, or to anyone who was happy with the dysfunctional way things were, it looks like nothing is amiss! it’s a very strange feeling that i haven’t encountered before, because in physical spaces, there’s a certain level of accountability you can hold people to (or maybe I’m naive and inexperienced, or have been lucky to exist in spaces where that’s the case). erasing it doesn’t change the fact that it’s wrong, and deleting messages or banning members w/out warning (which also happened yesterday) doesn’t erase the past or how people feel. the longer the server continues to delude itself that that is the case, the more their community will fester.
i'm sure they're thrilled! anyone who stood up to them is out! doesn't seem like they'll face any consequences for it, but that's for the universe to decide.
i want to appreciate the time, labor and energy of the people who have been harmed and acknowledge the hurt this has caused and the absolute shitshow it's been. none of it was deserved (and again, that doesn't come from a place of dick riding, it comes from basic decency, but anyway) and all i can really say is if your approach to fandom isn't decolonized, i'm not interested ✨

it always makes me laugh a lil when sharon asks if ted is good at his job and he replies "yes" so confidently like. . .i get that he was legit good in america but at that point in the show, even putting personal dynamics aside his team has just been relegated and they haven't won a single game all season. and then you think about how he handles conflict in the team. . .i always wonder if beard had told ted it was jamie's dad who beat him up after wembley, if ted's advice to jamie would have been different
HELP sdbjabghj. I recently rewatched the episode where he gives the rom-communism speech (which is such a funny scene... however) it's interesting that the point of it is basically "i don't care what our record is" and "everything is going to work out in the end" which is like ???? he literally sets NO measurable goals for this team and then says "our job is to have zero expectations" like HELLO? no it's not? that's a wild, nonsensical thing to say about managing a professional sports team. also, it's like the fight he got into on that same topic with beard at the end of the first season just went WHOOSH right out of this man's head!!!
Ted is very good at team bonding and encouraging positivity/optimism and he is very bad at like. literally every other aspect of his job..... 😭
also the topic of what ted would've said to Jamie if he knew the full story is SUCH an interesting discussion and i hate to say this but i almost feel he would've said exactly the same things? Sure, he doesn't know Jamie's dad nearly murdered Beard, but he has witnessed by that point two very blatant instances of James Sr. abusing Jamie (in the boot room and then Wembley) and he still says what he does, so. I think Ted is so detached from the reality of Jamie's situation, because he's superimposing his OWN stuff with both his own father and as a father to Henry over Jamie's very different lived experiences. he sees jamie's bad dad and his brain goes: I'M a bad dad :( and then he needs henry to forgive him for that and so tells Jamie to forgive his own bad dad. and of course the situations are not at all the same nor comparable but it's ted's mind playing tricks on him and making it impossible to distinguish the two. so idk i'm not sure it would've made a difference knowing one more detail, because it was never actually about jamie and jamie's dad to begin with, you know? not for ted.

maybe a stupid question but where did you learn so much about ufooos.. i feel like all the youtubers aside from like. maybe Think Anamolous are clickbait trash. and theres only so much from wikipedia articles 😭 im sure theres some good books out there about em
It isn't a stupid question! I know it can be daunting to get into such a massive topic where everyone involved already seems like an expert. For me it's honestly as simple as years & years of accumulated knowledge from watching docs, reading articles, & staying up to date with news/discussions that happen within the community (via r*ddit, mostly r/UFO lol). lots of independent research on cases that stuck out to me! though I can't say I always am a Facts & Logic ufohead bc I also will happily watch shit like ancient aliens even though I'm well aware 95% of it (being generous w/that percentage) is nonsense. it's still a lot of fun lol
Anyways idk if you're completely new to the ufo/uap stuff (sorry I'm gonna end up using the terms interchangeably as always bc I can never decide, uap is the updated more accurate term but ufo is the Classic & much more widely recognized) or not but if you need a crash course on what's been happening the past few years here's a useful site! the link below is a timeline of the partial disclosure that's been happening in bits and pieces since 2017 here (aka, the US government admitting that there are strange objects constantly darting in & out of our airspace that they can't explain the origin or mechanics of despite having been studying the phenomenon in secret for decades even as they were constantly denying it-and while there's no doubt that they know more than they're admitting to, I am most definitely not one of those "the aliens & government are already in contact and working together!!1" tinfoils types lol, too ridiculously implausible to seriously consider imo). it's very well organized & easy to read, I would definitely recommend looking through it!
also wanna link to a short documentary on youtube that solely focuses on what I consider to be the most plausible encounter with UAP ever recorded. to me this is as close to bulletproof evidence as the public currently has access to, though it's worth noting that despite releasing these few clips that you'll see in the doc (once they couldn't keep it a secret anymore), the military is still withholding the full, extended, clear videos for reasons they won't really say, not that they need to. we know why. it's bc the full video shows incontrovertible proof that this craft is not of human origin, the type that causes a legitimate mass paradigm shift.

musing about tesla (trimax vol 7)
idk, i feel like this deserves its own post, because i've been thinking so much about her.
cw for... discussion of everything that comes with the tesla territory under the cut.
so, after conrad accepts vash and knives, knives is fully confident that they can get along with humans. and in THAT moment, he sees tesla.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
now, in tristamp it said she was alive, but i'm not sure if she's also alive in the manga...? (schrodinger's girl...) i mean i know the report says her "physical functions have ceased," but i ask because... is this a choice she made? like, we know plants can communicate telepathically, so is that what she's doing? showing vash and knives a vision leading them to the truth? or is this like... a ghost/remnant/lingering memory of her (something like in the previous volume when vash saw a vision of knives killing conrad after knives had already left)? because if she is alive... this is the only thing she's ever done - ever been able to do - by her own will. the only action tesla takes, the only agency she has. she wanted the twins to know the truth.
the actual report on tesla is just... i don't even have the right word for it. cruel. detached. clinical. inhuman. calling her a subject and a specimen. they even acknowledge that she's sapient, yet they carried on with the experiments. it's just fucking cold.
like. no wonder rem was so keen on keeping the twins a secret. only she and conrad opposed the experiments, and the other four (i'm assuming four even though we only see three) continued to torture this little girl. (sorry for the crude diagram lol)
Tumblr media
the report totals 229 days - seven and a half months - and they never once thought of her as a person. a "question of ethics" was brought up at the day 100 mark (presumably thanks to rem and conrad) but they never change the language they use for her. even on the page i used above, where they're all remembering what they did to tesla, it's not clear how much they regret what happened, or if they wouldn't do it again given the choice. rem certainly doesn't seem to trust them. and in the brief time we see these people, they joke around, show emotions, act human as they are, one of them even hugs rem before going back into cold sleep - you would never guess the depths of the cruelty they were (are) capable of.
i've decided i love tesla and i want to know everything about her. who she would've been as a person. her likes and dislikes. times when she laughed and times when she cried. all taken from her. she could have grown up and helped raise vash and knives. she was never allowed to be a person. she was never given the choice of how to feel about humanity - all she knew was torture. we'll never know her, and vash and knives will never know their sister. all they (and we) have is a cruel, clinical report. tesla herself was never able to know either.
knives's hatred and desire for revenge, as twisted and cruel as he would become himself, was fueled by his anger at her abuse. truly, she is haunting the narrative. a ghost of what could have been. a character defined by absence.

I have a tarot reading request about my work + social life situation. I am basically burnt out from my job to the point that I'm unable or unwilling to accept even thanks or praise. Most of it relates to my manager, who has an imprecise yet emotionally blunt and at times exacting manner of communication that feels tailor-made to make technical discussions nearly impossible (I am a software engineer, and a fairly sensitive person. He is a military veteran who believes strongly in doing the fastest thing that works, and has been known to critique people to their face openly in group settings.) So I know the "correct" thing to do is grind up my LeetCode and start job hunting … but that would mean sitting down with a traditional data structures & algorithms text when I feel like I would much rather invest myself intellectually in my pipe dream of learning mathematics / getting, someday, to participate in the new univalent foundations of mathematics (maybe even as a programmer.) At the same time, the usual outlets I might have of getting to go for long walks / socialize on weekends feel increasingly out of reach, since I live in the outskirts of my city and the public transit authority there has been cancelling the trains for shuttle buses for most weekends, for what is going on 2 years now (at least since after the pandemic.) Having to ride buses instead of just hop on a train on weekends, for promised signal improvements that feel like they will never come, is slowly killing any sense of spontaneity and connection with casual human society outside of work for me. And even thinking about moving feels impossible (I have a housemate, my sibling, who I love dearly but I'm just not sure I want to commit to another 3-5 yrs. of cohabitation with.) Every direction in which I might reasonably turn for some vision of life outside of the cramped, artificial one where our company is super great! and everything is super exciting! despite the burnout and the constant reorgs and the whole new managerial clique we just got that's in charge of everything now, and, and, and … feels increasingly closed off. Would love any interpretation you could offer.
thank you for volunteering your fate to be decided by our still experimental divinatory process, here at dorothy twocubes' 24-hour bad advice hour™! as always, i must remind you, that this should only be taken seriously if it's good advice; otherwise, it's a joke, haha, why would you take it seriously? anyways let's get started
you seem to have some idea of what you want, and you seem to need advice regarding what to do next, so i will try with that mainstay, that good old spread that everyone likes and uses, Sun Tzu's five factors that decide battles. also i haven't done this in a while and this one i used a bunch before so maybe it's appropriate idk
Tumblr media
alright.
Purpose: ONE OF FISHES, reversed Purpose here means what you're trying to do, your goals. If you were like, a leader of a group, it would be the reason that other people follow you. What keeps you going as like, an entity. FISHES are to do with your social position in the world, where you are relative to others in the way that it defines who you are. ONE is to do with something being complete, filled, all there, enough. that sort of thing and it's reversed
Landscape: ONE HALF OF HEARTS, reversed Landscape here means the environment you're navigating. Where you are relative to other things and other people in the sense of like, obstacles or resources or... yknow, things that must be practically considered HEARTS are to do with perpetuance; with what it is that sustains, what allows something to continue to exist. health, both literal and metaphorical ONE HALF is to do with stuff being incomplete; things that are started but not finished, things that are there but not sufficient, partialness and it's reversed
Climate: NINE OF DIAMONDS, reversed Climate here means transient stuff that affects the landscape. The mood of the world, the weather. The way the world is changing. DIAMONDS are to do with what you value, what gives your life purpose, meaning. What fulfills you. and it's reversed
Doctrine: OMEGA PLUS ONE OF DIAMONDS, upright Doctrine is what you are trained to do, what your standard operating procedures are. What you can do without having to learn to do new things. OMEGA PLUS ONE is to do with utopia. While OMEGA is to do with your ideals, that which you pursue without particular expectation that you might ever attain, OMEGA PLUS ONE is to do with the world that you might imagine if you attained your maybe-unattainable ideals. and it's upright
Leadership: EIGHT OF DIAMONDS, reversed Leadership is the strategy you chose, given all the other things here. EIGHT is to do with networks. Stuff being connected to stuff that is connected to more stuff. and it's upright
In addition, there is an arithmetic relationship between the cards:
8 + 1 = 9 this suggests that we should think of our interpretation of 9 as being a more direct consequence of the coordination of 8 and 1
I read these cards thus:
You are in a situation here where, in principle, your social position is fully secured, but your desire here is to leave this security.
The world you live in is one where people are struggling to support themselves and what-makes-them-themselves, and at the moment people are overall having to make hard choices regarding the pursuit of those precious things that make their life worth living.
You have the ability already, without having to learn it, to do what you think you would do in ideal circumstances.
So, given all this, the cards are suggesting that you should reach out in pursuit of what-gives-your-life-value and work with others; friends, acquaintances and acquaintances-of-acquaintances. In particular, the hard choices other people are making may give you some form of opportunity to change your social position.
...
Anyways, that's my reading. Maybe these cards make sense to you in some other way? Maybe this is helpful? Maybe it isn't? Either way, I claim no responsibility :p
Thanks for this opportunity to further test our experimental variant on the classic card-based rpg solitaire "cartomancy". i would be happy for feedback or a tip, but, it's also absolutely fine if you'd rather not. it's your choice, and we respect that.

I'm just going to do a quick analysis on why this is so weird?? Odd??? Peculiar???? Just for the people that aren't catching up with this drama or whatevs
Exhibit A:
Tumblr media
"rape is okay" okay so you're already off on a moral standpoint. I shouldn't even have to explain this but I'm going to anyway for the people in the back: Doing anything to anyone's body that is not in their control is wrong. Why is it wrong? Because if you don't want it, you don't like it, and if you were a normal, decent, respectable human being, you would feel discomfort into knowing that the person doesn't want that. That is not an honorable opinion so I have the full right to say that this person is a disgrace to everyone around them, even if they don't know. Cuz if they did, they would not fw them. Now had this specific statement been about CNC, this would be a completely different discussion. But RAPE? You're actually an embarrassment to the fic community and I hope that the odium you face is for a good reason.
Exhibit B:
Tumblr media
I'M SHOCKED THAT ANYONE WOULD SAY THIS BUT... WASN'T SHE JUST CURSING AT "LITTLE KIDS"? If you're going to be wrong then at least pick a goddamn side. Not only was she just cursing at little kids, but she is choosing to act ignorant. This shows that she KNOWS that aging up miles doesn't mean anything to her, or anyone got that matter. And also, is she actually fucking daft or does she know that her saying anything like this will get her in trouble? Like, actual trouble?
Exhibit C:
Tumblr media
Do I even gotta talk about this? Stop mentioning POC as if you're talking about anyone other than black people first of all. Second of all promoting risky behavior? I'm not surprised because of how you've chosen to show yourself online really.
Exhibit D:
Tumblr media
Okay, people get exposed to sex at that age. Sure. Some. Not all. And nowhere NEAR all of them WANTED that. "You're telling me your 16 and never had sex before?" first of all, spelling correctly in an argument can make you sound more put together, so you can try that next time! Anyway, those same "little ass kids" you're talking to can tell you that having sex at that age is actually NOT normalized, as you just said YOURSELF. AND DON'T NOBODY GOTTA APOLOGIZE TO YOU FOR SHIT. EVER. FOR ANYTHING. THAT APPLIES TO ANYONE, EVERYWHERE. NO ONE HAS TO APOLOGIZE TO YOU IF THEY DON'T WANT TO. you really expected her to go "im so sorry, pardon me 🥺" YOU'RE AN IMBECILE. Idk you talking about having sex a lot, but the only thing you're fucking is stupid 💀 idk where you were trying to go with that
Exhibit E:
Tumblr media
Again no one's apologizing to you. What're you gonna do? Cry ab it? Also the utilizing the block button comment. Okay think of this: you're watching someone get assaulted, and you're an abled, strong individual. Blocking someone is literally the equivalent of someone just walking by, encouraging that behavior, even. "I'm not angry" hrmmm let's look at this message for ex
Tumblr media
This sounds like someone who ain't mad?
Tumblr media
You ain't mad? Alright, have a nice day!
@milezluvr
Also feel free to reblog this cuz id love to make friends with the "antis" on your blog🥰

the way you write 2d is very similar to current 2d though? like in your fic he doesn’t act or come across as the old school 2d that you prefer, he just seems like a simple sweet guy. if you wrote a fic that took place in the earlier phases would you have written him differently?
I'm happy he comes across as close to canon! Because I *do* want them to feel like their canon counterparts to some degree because, to me, it can help make a fic feel more immersive. But this answer will have a few layers to it, which I'll try to explain as succinctly as possible. The tl;dr answer is this: I actually do think 2D is a genuinely nice guy, but I also think he has glaring flaws that I don't think today's canon really recognizes, and I also started writing 2Doc at a very different point in fandom, which did have some influence on my characterizations at the time. Okay, so answer part 1...
Is 2D nice? My answer here is actually yes lmao. I think he's nice in earlier phases. He is, as I see him, essentially the "normal guy" trope of Gorillaz. He cares for Murdoc probably a lot more than he should and probably believes in their friendship/relationship more than he should. He's been shown to be somewhat socially conscious, easy-going, and friendly with fans. As of P4, he's (allegedly) worked on himself. However, he's also, well, a guy, and I think he's vulnerable to many of the things people complain about when they're complaining about men in general - he's shallow, emotionally immature at times, avoidant of responsibility, insecure. I think his insecurity and immaturity have especially been affected by fame and Murdoc's abuse. This is just my interpretation, but I think this can make him bottle up his true feelings to the point of being resentful. I think his experience with Murdoc's dishonesty and infidelity (Paula) can make him insecure/jealous. Basically, he's a regular person! Okay, so for the next part...
Writing 2Doc in 2017-2019: Brief 2Doc fandom history time! Yes...I started writing 2Doc that long ago RIP. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and assume that most readers today weren't present to experience the, uh, political climate of fandom back then. This was right after Gorillaz returned from their first, long hiatus. The community underwent A LOT of evolution. At the time, I was also just a general fandom blog. I did not come into this fandom as a shipper, I waded into the ship cautiously, because 2017-2018 was also the time when 2Doc, along with Murdoc fans, came under incredible scrutiny. You could not talk about, or surmise about 2D's flaws without someone becoming combative with you and pressuring you to say Murdoc was worse. You could not mention that he was an absentee father, or that he might have been the best parent to Noodle. No, we all had to focus on how much Murdoc sucked, which, fair, but idk, I WANT all the characters to have likable and unlikable qualities. It makes them feel more real and relatable.
ANYHOW. When I started writing 2Doc, I didn't want that part of fandom trying to start debates with me. Like, I love a good discussion as much as the next person, but I also wanted to connect with the community. So, I think I was a lot more cautious in how I portrayed 2D. You can see this in my early, early work. I actually don't like those fics very much anymore. I've come so close to deleting that one Christmas story off my AO3 account, but I also don't believe in deleting work lmao. And it was my first published fic on AO3, so, idk, there's sentimental value there.
When you say "my fic," I'm assuming you mean The Answer (if not, well...oops). I'm not sure if you've finished the story yet, so I don't want to go too far into detail. But that was the second fic I published on AO3, and I truly did want readers to feel comforted by my 2D portrayal like, "See! Yes, this is a kind, soft guy." I practiced in a way I would today, where I was writing with the most passionate Murdoc/2Doc haters in mind. But the characterization is also specific to the fic, where that 2D is kind because he's trying SO hard to be someone Murdoc wants. This gets explored later in the story. He also gets worse later in the story, and those were moments I had in mind from the beginning. I wanted to be able to write scenes where the reader might not be on his side, but I also had to build up to it. I wanted even the most critical reader to get to those moments and be able to accept it as a reasonable development. Was it perfect execution? Probably not (it's been a while since I've read it), but I do think those scenes were earned.
P1-P2 2Doc: It's funny you mention this. The early phases actually aren't very inspiring to me. I have the most fun with 2Doc when exploring the unknown and subverting expectations of what the ship "should" be. Where do they go from where canon left off? I don't know! I do think they can regress, and I'm interested to see how my depiction of them has changed now that it's been a few years and I have a lot of new points of reference that have inspired some new perspectives on both of them. If I were to write an early-phase 2D, I guess he might be a little closer to ROTO 2D. But I also *do* think he's nice. But I don't think he's a doormat or a cinnamon roll, and I don't like the idea of always writing him as a hapless victim and Murdoc as an evil, 2-dimensional supervillain (I don't think he was ever like this, even in the early phases). He has his edges, and Murdoc has his vulnerabilities.
I do think the 2Doc community has come a long way from 2017-2018, and there's probably more room to experiment with their dynamic and more acceptance of 2Doc in general. I think a lot of fanwork from that era was instrumental in opening peoples' minds to different portrayals of 2Doc. Personally, I do want to write something someday that pushes the boundaries a little. What will it be? Idk, but it's on the bucket list.
Omg this answer was long...I talked about 2D for five entire paragraphs. I'm happy to clarify or expand on anything mentioned here. I have some more thoughts on this, too, but I don't want this answer to get any longer at this point. But I'm open to discussion! I enjoy discussions like this.

J Being on the Chapter 2 Title Card?? Theorizing (sorta... I'm clueless ;-;)
Can we talk about the fact that J is on the chapter 2 title card rn?? Like... I see ALMOST NO ONE so far in the fandom theorizing about what this could mean. We know that her secret about Mariabella being her mom was revealed during this chapter, but... I don't really feel like that's big enough to warrant her being on the title card yet so far? I think? It's an important secret, don't get me wrong, but it doesn't rly rival the importance of the actual murders going on imo.
I mean-- Teruko and Xander were on the first chapter title card. That is a big deal. Xander died after trying to kill Teruko, and got killed by Min instead: Teruko's our protagonist. Being on the title card is obviously the most indicative clue of a character being insanely important to the narrative for that chapter, possibly even a culprit or victim, but we all just been sleepin on that clue lately and ignoring it lol wut--
Like... I mean, J tries enlisting Teruko's help getting away from Arturo for a minute in this chapter- the dressing room scene- and has a frigging knife pulled on her. She got her secret she desperately wanted to cover up, probably for a large portion of her life, exposed by some jerk in the very same, what, 24 hour period? And she's constantly now being stalked by said jerk, too. Poor gal.
I don't know if J maybe snapped from it all, and murdered Arei. I'm not sure how she WOULD have, given Arturo stalking her. So... maybe it's... something else? But like? SOMETHING is being set up with J here, and if anyone has any ideas feel free to suggest, cuz I can't figure out what it is yet. I'm thinking randomly off the top of my head of stuff we know... like...
J was the first to go to Arei's room to check for her body, after they realized she was missing? Also, J was the first to complain about Teruko possibly being in cahoots with the culprit and choosing who guards the body based on that. After which, J was then promptly chosen to guard the body as well. Important? Possibly. Maybe. Idk...
She goes on a whole spiel about how serious murder is that gains a lot of spotlight for a few minutes, when she was talking to Nico... also, she has this new sadistic grin sprite after revealing Arturo's secret. UH is that sprite gonna be used again for something?
I think there's literally no way J isn't gonna have some sort of big reveal of significance to the plot during the rest of the chapter 2 trial.
There's a bit of evidence that could point to her being the killer, but I don't wanna say I believe that for sure. Just that... SOMETHING'S up.
J being on the chapter 2 title card is definitely important.
ALSO FINALLY: J's hidden quote is "Please don't call me your daughter ever again."
????????how the frick is J going to say this quote?? So far, all the hidden quotes have been said a little while before the character dies, before/during a pivotal moment in the plot and their development... therefore, J is gonna say this line at some point. That's indisputable.
But??? How?? Will it be said during a flashback where she said it to Mariabella in the past? Or... are we gonna see J get in contact with her mom somehow? Is J the culprit, and MonoTV calls in a 'special guest viewer video call' right before her execution just to rub it in her face, and it's her mom, and... J says her hidden quote there?
Is one of the future motives gonna involve being able to communicate something with your family, maybe, and then J says it?
I'm probably gonna look back more and see if there's any other sort of hints or foreshadowing going on with J, but... I just wanted to point all this out and possibly open up discussion/theorizing about this :)
