Wish spoilers ahead.

The start of Wish is exactly like that of Encanto but without all the heart. It is literally the meme of "Can I copy your homework?" "Yeah but change a few things so it is not too obvious."

Also Asha deserved a pretty dress in the end like wth are you going to sell to little girls Disney you are all about money and you failed miserably even at that.

And it is for real soooo unfair how the queen did get a pretty dress the whole movie and Asha only got some lazy ass sparkles added to her boring ass dress.

Asha... not bad, ok, but she is copy paste Anna, Mirabel, and Rapunzel. Youtuber ModernGurlz is right about Disney's "adorkable" problem. All their main girls since Rapunzel have the same "quirky" personality save a few details. I have liked them all but it is getting boring. Give me a princess with a monotone, sad personality, give me a shy princess who only smiles and talks around close friends, give me back the classic super girly personality Aurora and Snow White style, give me an angry girl with a brutal sense of humor like Merida. Be creative, please!!!

I love the queen's design, super gorgeous. Too bad her character added nothing. Her help was barely needed since Asha's friend had already sneaked them into the castle and it was her who deciphered the king's magic. A super villain couple would have been way more fun.

Oh, yeah, Asha's friends. There were so-damn-many of them and only like 3 were rememberable or needed for the story.

The villain is a complicated issue. I appreciated Disney's attempt at another fully evil character, I liked how he wasn't yet another badly set up "twist villain" revealed only at the end. But I didn't like the end result that much.

His backstory was super underdeveloped and to "get" his motives better, if they really wanted to make him evil-yet-complex, they should have shown us a flashback of him losing his family Encanto style (They copy pasted the start might as well do the same with the antagonist backstory.

What the hell was the missing piece of tapestry for if it wasn't going to have any significance later on? Did the writers just forget or what even?

Worst part for me: The stakes were low as fuck. Disney doesn't respect its target audience, nowadays it thinks that children can't handle anything worse than a main character getting disappointed. The worst this "super evil" villain does is make people sad temporarily, for like two minutes (Kid you not), like one character stays sad for longer but MOST people in the kingdom seem happy and normal after giving up their wishes, he legit just makes people sad a few minutes (Again, I kid you not, no one dies, the wishes he "eats" to make himself stronger come back, nothing he does has a permanent, devastating effect, he is not even revealed to have killed Asha's father in a dramatic way or something). Yeah he makes people forget their wishes which is pretty sketchy but up to that point he seemed to have complex reasons for that, reasons that seem to disappear or have never even been there the second half of the movie when he magically becomes more evil due to a forbidden green spooky magic he uses, and then suddenly he becomes Maleficent (The cool, perfect villain version, not the woobie one) style evil in a very, very rushed and over the top way. I feel like he should have started up as fully evil with no backstory (Just a simple, Gaston or original Maleficent style, self centered guy, who wants more and more power and adoration), and simply gotten worse and stronger OR given more complexity as to why he became that way, but instead we got this weird thing in between where it is clear he just wants power and love from the people for the sake of it and yet he has this half-made sob story on how his family died.

There was a great lack of originality in this movie at the climax as well. Anyone watched "The little mermaid II"? That was pretty much it. Villain gets power boner, says he will enslave everyone (Worst thing he does in whole movie and yet no one trying to defy him dies at least off screen or gets hurt in any meaningful way). Then heroine saves the day.

The funniest part of this movie is that the villain's fate is worse than anything he ever did in the movie I swear. He gets trapped in a freaking mirror and then locked up in a cell (Similar to the Little mermaid II villain's end too lol). That is straight up torture till death, it is so fucked up. And his wife who literally sees how the green spooky magic is the main thing responsible for his bad day (If we are being honest that is all it was, other than the taking wishes part he seemed to be a good king) leaves him to rot and becomes queen Catherine II style, it is hilarious. Like girl, you turned against your husband like five minutes ago because apparently through decades of seemingly loving marriage, you never knew he was evil but now somehow you are ok with him rotting in solitary confinement till the end of time? So dorky and silly. So bad, so bad.

Lastly, that goat was annoying as hell.

Singed’s Favorite Theon fanfics

I’m a die-hard fan Show!Theon fan (and Show!Theon only). I get frustrated when a fic is tagged “Game of Thrones - TV Show” and at the same time refers to Yara as “Asha” or if I encounter the sentence “Where was I? I should have died with him.” If I see mentions of “Ramsay’s boys” such a fic usually puts me off for the same reason. Similarly, I’m not a fan of Theon being described as missing several fingers and teeth, having white hair, bald patches, and being skeleton thin or described as lanky in his youth. My Theon is Alfie Allen’s Theon. His Theon owns my heart going on 6 years now. Alfie Allen did wonders with him, and I love the way he (Alfie as Theon or Reek) looks. On the other hand, I’m not completely averse to a certain mix of show and books verses if the fic is well written, but my own personal Theon, and I cannot stress this enough, is and will always be Show!Theon and I’m only interested in fics that are canon compliant and then goes AU. I hate Modern AUs. It’s been +30 years since I was in high school and I’m not interested in teen drama. Not anymore, no matter how good it may be.

So... here are my personal favorite fanfics - as of June 2020 in no particular order. I will keep on adding to this post for my own amusement.

Gifts by Qodarkness.

This fic is a huge gift to anyone who loves Show!Theon. It’s angsty, h/c and it’s Theonsa all the way. The fic is long, well written, well told, and well planned. It’s got lovely hurt/comfort, some nice sex, a believable pace, characters we mostly recognize, and it’s a fic I often revert to. Post 803.

Pairing: Theonsa

Sex: 9/10 - I’m pretty sure Sansa wouldn’t swear during sex but wth - it’s good.

Grammar: You won’t find any “okays” (thank god because okays in canon fics are my greatest pet peeve - I hate them and they nearly ruin a fic for me if they show up.) All in all, perfect.

Show or a mix?: Wonderfully dealing with show characters and their looks only.

I Could Borrow Your Heart (and I Could Leave You Mine) by Callmejude

What Can I say? Definitely in my top 5. Post 802. HEA.

Pairing: Theonsa.

Sex: 9/10 ~ 10/10 (Theon doesn’t come but the rest of us might.)

Grammar: Perfect like Gifts.

Show only: There is only one drawback from my point of view: Theon thinks of burning the two boys and he thinks of the miller’s wife - all of which is book related only and it shook me because my Theon never did such a thing - but other than that, it’s perfect.

Sex: 2/10 because they only kiss. But it’s a lovely, lovely fic. HEA.

All Moments Pass by Attaining

Another one I often read. Post 802. It pushes all the right buttons after 802 ended. Canon compliant. You get so much more than just sex from this gem. Hurt/comfort and a very real season 8 Theon whom I love. And the sex is so realistic when it comes to actual real life sex life with a partner you trust. It’s liberating and great and it makes you and the characters laugh with joy and mirth. Just like real sex. I love this one!

Sex: 15/10.

Grammar: Perfect.

To Make Us Steel by Partialconstellations

An AU beginning with 802. It’s wonderfully written, soft, angsty, and emotionally fulfilling. This one makes me ache and it’s fully inspired by Alfie Allen’s amazing face acting when Theon returns to Winterfell.

Sex: 0/10. There’s no sex in this one but good fics don’t need to have any sex in them.

Grammar: Perfect.

Hina Says ‘Mushtande’ Rithvik, Karan Lacked Mental Strength In Fear Factor; Actors Laugh It off

After calling Africa a country and being accused of wearing borrowed clothes on Bigg Boss 11, Hina Khan’s acts has once again come under the radar. The actor claimed on Bigg Boss 11 that her co-contestants on reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, Karan Wahi and Rithvik Dhanjani, didn’t have any mental strength and thereby couldn’t make it to the finale.

In an uncut video on Voot, which has been picked up by many fan groups on social media, Hina recalls her Khatron Ke Khiladi journey and boasts about how she’s mentally more stronger than “mushtande” Rithvik and Karan. She further says that before participating in the stunt-based reality show, her Bigg Boss inmates can meet her for “excellent tips” and to know what all they should learn before going.

Hina goes on to tell Vikas that he shouldn’t participate and says, “Tum mat karna, tumhare bass ki nahi hai.”

She continues to demotivate Vikas even as he questions her comment on his hypothetical participation.

Soon after the video went viral, many television actors, who had participated in the show, decided to voice their opinion on Twitter.

Ravi Dubey defended his friends and reminded Hina of what the stunt-based show is actually all about. “Disappointed in ur POV about my frnds @eyehinakhan I have witnessed everyone’s journey in #khatronkekhiladi @rithvik_RD and @karan009wahi were my heroes in d show they faught wth earnestness & grace & overcame their fears quite like u and that’s what the show was about @ColorsTV,” he wrote.

Karan Wahi took Hina’s comments rather lightly and asked Ravi to focus on their upcoming party.

THREAD. What does it mean that the FBI reportedly has a counterintelligence investigation on Giuliani? First and foremost, it means that the FBI believes he may pose a national security threat to the United States. 1/

2. CI investigations aren’t predicated on a suspicion that someone has broken the law. Rather, they typically begin because some has had contact with people linked to foreign intelligence and/or is furthering the interests of a foreign power in the U.S.

3. Sometimes people may be targeted unwittingly. For this reason, and bc CI investigations have broader threshold to open (and are secret), they have to be closed after 6 months if no actual threat exists or it can be neutralized in that time.

4. "Based on reports that the FBI was questioning people about Giuliano’s counterintelligence related issues as far back as Feb/Mar, an ongoing investigation would mean that this is a “Full” rather than “Preliminary” Investigation (former can be open indefinitely)"

5. "Given that Giuliani is an USPER, the bar to have a Full Investigation on him would be higher than for nonUSPERs. Also, in my experience, people who are being “unwittingly” targeted are neutralized pretty quickly (usually with a warning/heads up that they are targets)"

6. "(I should also note that the bar would be especially high since Giuliani is POTUS’ lawyer and, well...honestly wth would the FBI go through this movie all over again if there not some serious red flags???)"

Fourth defendant in Giuliani associates’ case arrested at New York airport

David Correia, the fourth defendant in a campaign finance case involving business associates of President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudolph W. Giuliani, was arrested Wednesday morning at a New York City airport, officials said.

Correia has been charged with participating in a scheme to use foreign money to build political support for a fledgling recreational marijuana business in Nevada and other states, according to an indictment unsealed last week that also charged Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman with conspiracy and making false statements to campaign finance regulators.

The other three defendants were quickly arrested by the FBI, but Correia’s whereabouts have been unclear until Wednesday morning. Correia is expected to make a brief court appearance Wednesday, and all four defendants are due to appear before a judge Thursday morning.

“The defendant was taken into custody by the FBI at JFK earlier this morning,” said Nicholas Biase, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney’s office in Manhattan.

It was not immediately clear if Correia was arriving at the airport or planning to fly somewhere else.

Parnas and Furman, who had been helping Giuliani investigate Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, were arrested a week ago at Dulles International Airport outside of Washington, D.C., where they had one-way tickets on a flight out of the country, officials said.

Giuliani’s business dealings with the men are part of the federal investigation, according to people familiar with the matter. A grand jury subpoena has been issued to former congressman Pete Sessions, a Texas Republican, who interacted with Giuliani, Parnas and Fruman. Parnas and Fruman are accused of violating campaign finance laws by making donations to Sessions’s campaign that exceeded federal limits.

The indictment says Parnas met with Sessions in 2018 seeking his “assistance in causing the U.S. government to remove or recall the then-U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine,” the indictment alleges. . . Parnas’s efforts to remove the Ambassador were conducted, at least in part, at the request of one or more Ukrainian government officials.”

Giuliani and Sessions have denied wrongdoing. Parnas and Fruman have not formally entered pleas yet to the charges.

The arrests mark the first criminal charges to emerge from the U.S. government’s suddenly controversial relationship with Ukraine — a complex web of financial and political interactions linking diplomacy to alleged violations of campaign finance law.

The indictment does not allege any wrongdoing by the president or his campaign, but the charges of political donations made for the secret benefit of foreign interests adds to the growing legal and political pressure on Trump and his attorney as they try to fend off Democrats’ impeachment efforts.

Correia is charged with conspiracy as part of an alleged scheme involving donations to Nevada politicians in the hopes of winning support for a marijuana business secretly backed by an unidentified Russian businessman. The third defendant in the case, a California man named Andrey Kukushkin, was arrested last week, according to authorities.

Correia is not charged in the part of the case involving Sessions, but he has significant ties to the companies under scrutiny. He has been identified as chief operating officer of a company called Fraud Guarantee that he co-founded with Parnas. Giuliani has said he was paid $500,000 for work he did for Fraud Guarantee in 2018 and 2019.

Correia is also listed as an officer at Global Energy Partners. According to the indictment, Parnas and Fruman disguised the source of a $325,000 donation made in 2018 to America First, the main pro-Trump super PAC, by giving that money in the name of GEP. Federal prosecutors say the company was a front used to disguise the funds’ true source and that the money came from “a private lending transaction between Fruman and third parties.”

Giuliani has also said Parnas and Fruman have been assisting Giuliani in his efforts to get Ukrainian officials to investigate Biden and his son, as well as Giuliani’s claim that Democrats conspired with Ukrainians in the 2016 U.S. election.

A former top aide to Mike Pompeo, the secretary of state, told impeachment investigators on Wednesday that he resigned because he was upset that the Trump administration had wrestled Ukraine policy away from career diplomats, according to three people familiar with his closed-door deposition to the House Intelligence Committee.

In several hours of continuing testimony, Michael McKinley, who until last week was a senior adviser to Mr. Pompeo, described his mounting frustration with how politicized the State Department had become under President Trump, saying that the last straw for him was the ouster of Marie L. Yovanovitch, the former ambassador to Ukraine whom Mr. Trump ordered removed.

Mr. McKinley’s testimony was the latest in a string of accounts given by top career diplomats and administration officials to impeachment investigators about how experts were sidelined as the president pursued his own agenda on Ukraine, including in a July telephone call when Mr. Trump asked President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and other Democrats.

Taken together, the interviews have corroborated many aspects of the intelligence whistle-blower complaint that prompted the impeachment inquiry, which alleged that Mr. Trump abused his power to enlist a foreign government for his own political gain.

While Mr. McKinley told lawmakers that he did not have detailed knowledge about the Ukraine matter, he said the handling of the issue was emblematic of a troublesome trend at the State Department, the people said, speaking on condition of anonymity to describe a closed-door deposition. He spoke of his frustration with Rex W. Tillerson, the former secretary of state, saying he had gutted the department, and praised Mr. Pompeo for his leadership.

But Mr. McKinley said he was alarmed at how poorly diplomats were treated. Ms. Yovanovitch, a 30-year veteran of the Foreign Service, testified privately last week that she was abruptly removed from her post after a monthslong push by Mr. Trump to get rid of her on the basis of “unfounded and false claims by people with clearly questionable motives.”

Democratic lawmakers who participated in the questioning of Mr. McKinley said he fit the mold of other witnesses the impeachment inquiry has interviewed.

“Another career Foreign Service officer with a 33-year career trying to do the right thing,” said Representative Harley Rouda, Democrat of California, as he left the deposition. Mr. Rouda said that Mr. McKinley, like some other witnesses, provided the committees with an opening statement.

Mr. Trump complained about the impeachment inquiry Wednesday during a meeting with Italy’s president at the White House, accusing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of doing “this country a great disservice” and predicting that Democrats would lose the 2020 presidential election because the party pursued his impeachment.

The president called Representative Adam B. Schiff, the Democratic chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, “purely fraudulent” and said that Republicans have been treated by Democratic lawmakers with “great disrespect.”

Representative Mark Meadows, Republican of North Carolina, said after he left the hearing room that Mr. McKinley had been both “complimentary of Secretary Pompeo,” and made clear he was “supportive” of Ms. Yovanovitch.

Mr. Pompeo has defended the administration’s actions regarding Ukraine, saying that the impeachment inquiry has sparked a “silly gotcha game” in Washington.

Mr. McKinley appeared voluntarily before the committee, which did not issue a subpoena to compel his testimony, according to an official involved in the inquiry.

He arrived on Capitol Hill Wednesday as the House’s impeachment inquiry accelerated, with daily, hourslong depositions that Democratic lawmakers hope will expose the activities of Rudolph W. Giuliani, the president’s personal lawyer, to pressure Ukraine’s government to dig up damaging information about Mr. Trump’s political rivals.

The steady stream of diplomats and White House officials have appeared before the committees despite Mr. Trump’s vow not to cooperate with the inquiry. Mr. McKinley’s testimony further sets the stage for Thursday’s expected deposition of Gordon D. Sondland, the ambassador to the European Union and a Trump loyalist.

In the past week, witnesses have described a shadow foreign policy led by Mr. Giuliani, Mr. Sondland and Rick Perry, the secretary of energy, that was designed to sideline the diplomats with formal responsibility over relations with Ukraine.

Kurt D. Volker, who served as Mr. Trump’s envoy to Ukraine before resigning late last month, was back at the Capitol Wednesday after testifying two weeks ago for more than eight hours.

Mr. Volker’s return on Wednesday, which had not been disclosed earlier, was for the purpose of reviewing the transcript of his earlier deposition, according to a person familiar with the situation. It is not unusual for witnesses in congressional investigations to be given an opportunity to review the official transcript of what they said.

Mr. Volker was not expect to provide additional testimony to lawmakers on Wednesday.
